UU Week Day 3: Favorite Dynamic

Chikara and Ryo's story is one of my favorite parts of loop 100, and the anime did such a good job with Chikara's Goodbye.

The moment where Ryo's running down the stairs, chasing after Chikara, but gets his memory erased the moment before he actually opens the car door- it does something to me.

And then I read the light novels.

If you read the Ryo Chapter, you know what I'm talking about here. The way Chikara manages to constantly haunt the narrative when literally nobody except for Ryo ever brings him up, the way the chapter where Ryo keeps thinking about Chikara is the chapter about romance...

Loop 101 is also really interesting, because for a loop where the whole point is to ensure everyone's happiness, Ryo gets left behind.

The greatest tragedy in loop 101 so far is the end of Chikara's arc, and it's really not that close.
