it's extremely funny how in half life there's this solider model who has eye textures on his glasses to make up for the fact that they're not transparent
One thing I appreciate in fallout 4 with its companions is that platonic relationships almost feel like the default where you have to work for the romantic ones (ex. getting enough in the charisma stat to pass the flirt checks). You aren't forced into it and it's not even hinted towards until the player takes the first step, and as an aroace person who hates romance or sex foisted upon them in video games I appreciate that
So i tried my hand at spy for the first time last night, and i cannot believe how incredibly sweet the other spy on my team was being. ive never played spy before, so it was a huge learning curve, but this dude was all kinds of encouraging and helpful. made sure i went back for health and stuck with me while leaving spawn, showed me the fastest ways to get around, and made a generally very nice effort to help a newer player get a feel for the class
At one point he came on voice chat just to say ’hey wait spy come back’ when i left spawn, and when i got to him he just went ’lets go kill these guys, okay? :)’ and i couldve cried fr
Many fans prefer new model tho (polished now, but also nonblack "east asian" model ? Change over time before full release, since her design change a lot) ["Baldur's Gate 3 Players Thrilled by How Much Karlach Has Changed Since Early Access", IGN]
But some fans sent so many racist comments to bg3 fan that made mod make Karlach look similar to old designs combined (black / blasian, more scarring) - to point that comment page turned off now. [Mod: early access karlach, nexus mods]
Not to say skill issue, but some gamers think they can just apply their previous gaming knowledge to everything and be a god gamer, then they get folded by indie games that are different and uniquely difficult. Which leads to them saying the game is bad, bc how could it be that they can't get through it!!! Must be the game's fault right :/
But no. It's NOT always the game's fault actually, and maybe those players would be doing better if they treated every game as a new learning experience. I know the more games you play the more you learn the patterns of game design, but you shouldn't fall into the trap of very narrow thinking, unable to adapt to new ideas and experience
Stuff like this makes me enjoy Oblivion so much. I had just come down from dropping Martin/Sean Bean at Cloud Ruler temple and was heading to Applewatch.
Hearing arrows I went to the sound and just found these two Imperial Foresters fighting. Out of curiosity I stuck around and stayed out of their fight. Ended up being the one on top of the hill who won whatever this battle was about
I was finally able to implement camera sensitivity options and the settings persist across levels!
This has been requested a lot so I'm really glad I was able to get it working, hopefully now people will have a much easier time with the camera!
I still want to add a "reset to default" button, but I'm really happy with it so far
