Gacha Lore sucks
I mean the Lore of Lunime games, like Gacha World, Gachaverse, etc.
You can tell from previous posts that I have a strange hyper fixation for Gacha games. Not really the playthrough, nor the videos, but its lore. That goddamn lore.
Not that I like it. Oooh, no no no no... no. I despise it with every. Fiber. Of. My. Body. But at the same time, I quite of understand why did it fail.
Imagine having a good story that you want to write. You have big plans for it, and you decide to put it in a game. But the game is fairly short, to say the least, so you have to rush the story. Results? A complete piece of shit.
(not that I'm saying that this is what happened, but I would rather believe this story than that the reality is just a garbage story created to sell games)
Here's the thing: I LOVE the concept. But... Not really in a normal way. Not saying that it is very good by itself, but it has potential. So much that I can almost touch it. And it shines brightly, like a supernova. But they turned it into a black hole of a story.
So, instead, why not just rewrite it? And let me tell you: there's SO MUCH lore that can be added, and develop the characters better, and add some new ones, and many many backstories, and-
That's what I've been doing... As a hobby. Of course, I have other projects going on (and high school), so it isn't really the focus for now.
...
BUT
I was able to write a fairly amount of lore, which I may or may not post here (I'm more inclined to post), just as a sneak peak for [another] big project. I promised myself it would be done, so I can't die until it's finished
Anyways, this is more of a vent, or something... I don't know, still learning to use this website for a while.

Rewritten Characters #1 Gacha World Edition
I've rewritten many gacha (lunime) characters, but I'll start simple: Gacha Summoner and Fairy Ellie! Overtime, as I rewrite the lore, I may post other characters as well.
Gacha Summoner
In the original story, they're a... bland protagonist. I know they're supposed to be an insert of the player, but... Goddamn they're boring as a character. Aside from being heroic and having good values (and shy, based on Gacha Memories (correct me if I'm wrong)), they're just a blank page forgot to be filled. It's also said they're quite addicted to Gacha games, but that's not really explored (from what I can tell).
In the new story, they are actually a straight maniac for Gacha games. Back and forth, they finish a game and start another (by finishing, I mean getting all characters/units, even secret ones). They usually don't play side quests, or don't even finish the main ones. In fact, the Gacha Summoner (nickname*) only play these games for the Gacha mechanics.
However, like the Gacha World lore, they run out of money. For a mere second, they think of putting their life together... Before a message of a new gacha game appears on [app similar to play store] between the recommendations. And not just a gacha game: one that promises to be totally free, without the need of real money to do gacha!Just one more game won't hurt... Right? (Even if it's bad, it's worth a shot)
So yeah, they get sucked into the game and now are forced to be a hero. While Ellie tries to push him into being one, however, he only helps others to get as many gems possible to Gacha. It takes a long time for them to become a better person...
Additional information:
- Since they're VERY addicted to gacha (get new units), they get into a "maniac mode", in which they do anything, anything, to get gacha gems (the thing that they need to do gacha);
- They're kinda of an asshole, not gonna lie;
- They don't know how to interact with people (which makes gacha world one kind of a hell for them), and it's one of the reasons for them to be quiet most of the time;
- A weeb;
- Sometimes they'll just stare at you for no reason.
- Are they a girl? Or a boy? Who knows! But they sure have a lot of determination... To get gacha gems.
*Honestly, I still haven't thought of a name for them, so I just go with the name given.
Elemental Fairy Ellie
She's still Gacha Summoner's guide, except she's now more formal and quite serious, while acting as if they're smart (spoiler: they aren't). They know a lot about the Gachaverse (or so they think) and about the Gacha sword (which by the way, they're connected with. In fact, the elemental energy from the sword comes from her. Will talk about this later). Other than that, she pretty much learns as they explore the worlds.
Additional information:
- She finds it weird how the Gacha Summoner always talks about everything as if it's all a game, although she always brushes it off it could be because he's a psychopath (for her, at least);
- She's very patient, and rarely gets angry. Unfortunately, the Gacha Summoner is able to break her limits more than often;
- Genuinely wants to help people (that doesn't stop her from being selfish sometimes, though);
- Wings big, because fly lots. Tiny body, because no walking.
- She's an elemental Fairy, which is actually relevant to the story (going to explain new mechanics later).
Sketches
Sadly bad.
