How to master the Rosyblog 2013 Aesthetic

Last night I was lying in bed and scrolling through loads of old 2013, girly aesthetic pins and pictures on Pinterest. It really got me thinking about how much I love the loved the girly vibe and aesthetic back when I was just 9 😭. I didn’t have a phone but I had a tablet, and I remember seeing all of these photos on the internet and on Tumblr (that I really didn’t understand how to use at the time 🤣) I decided to spend my day like all of those IT girls did back in the day, full of girly things and doing fun, girly activities, and so I wanted to write a blog post on it 🛼🎀🧁💗☕️

Hello! This is my first new tumbler! I really just wanted a space to share myself with everyone willing to listen.

Maybe the first order of business would be to introduce myself. I am a British filipina and I enjoy movies, games, reading, creative writing and music. I enjoy singing, Zumba and dance workouts, walking in the park (nice ones mostly) and going to church.

I’m in my mid 30s yet my life and the way I live and the way I am is more like still in my late 20s. I have a thing for Bentleys, smoothest cars ever! I’m also a fan of Gabi demartino, I find her vlogs amusing, plus, personally, I love her style. Girly elegant, chic, love it!

Since this is the month of February, I thought it might be nice to share some of my experiences with dating, not that I’ve had a lot of experiences, but I have had some, so not a total washout.

My first ever date i was in my 20s and I had never heard of Starbucks before and I was attending Westminister college and there was this Asian guy that asked me out. I wasn’t attracted to him but I knew what it feels like to be rejected, and I know how difficult it must be to ask someone out. I obliged to go out with him for a coffee. He took me to my first Starbucks. I didn’t know what to order and he ordered for me. He ordered me a caramel macchiato. Literally I fell in love with the coffee! Leaving the cafe since I had a lovely time (with the coffee) I allowed him to hold my hand. After that nothing happened between us, but I kept Starbucks, me and Starbucks became an item, and me and the guy not. 😁

I have tried online dating in the past, in my teens, meeting these random dudes from the chat rooms after weeks of chatting with them. I have to say that not any of them was ‘kosher’ meaning (safe). They were all greasy and super weird. From that moment on I swore off online dating. It’s so much better just to meet someone in person and all that.

The worst date I’ve been on was when my classmate who was also a friend needed to ‘double date’ so she set me up with her guys friend. So she left me alone with this stranger ‘in his room’ because ‘she went to his room’ and I had to lay beside him on this floor couch thing. It was not cool. He was grimy and gripey. He could tell immediately that ‘I was a lady and don’t roll like that’ by how I carried myself and how I talked. So nothing happened and thank God he didn’t push it. Although I did hear him laugh at me under his breath. Eugh. 🤦🏽‍♂️

I did have one ‘Christian date’ and how we met was supremely beautiful. He worked in the church bookshop and I wasn’t a part of that church yet, I didn’t even know there was a church there. I just knew the bookshop. And every time I went in there he would make me happy. So on Valentine’s Day I gave him a Valentine’s card and then left. He then asked me out and we became an item. Then for three weeks I didn’t hear from him. It made me upset. When I called for an ‘emergency meeting’ in our nearest McDonald’s, he told me I shouldn’t need to see him if I had my priorities right plus he was very busy doing church stuff that he didn’t really have the time for a ‘girlfriend’. I was heartbroken of course. Ironically he did get married, some woman in Africa and he did end up working in the church office and no nobody knew about us! 🥺😔😅 that was the process, emoji wise.

So, in reality, I haven’t really had any ‘proper’ dating experience or much experience with guys, other than having had several guy bestfiends in my lifetime, some still stand to this day.

‘A Christmas Princess’

Once upon a Christmas Eve, in the west wing of an estate, sat a very lonely privileged girl, her only friends were the snowflakes. She has every dress in blush and white, every pastry cream & puff and a large bath for herself but all of these treasures just weren’t enough.

She goes by Gabriella and loves Christmas very much but never a friend to share it with, to make cookies with and such. She wished upon a snowflake and she does so every year, ‘Dear Santa, please send me a friend and please guide her footsteps here’.

Hopeless was she this stormy night and how little did she know, young Emelyne, alone in the cold without a coat or home! She exited the window, filled her sadness with her grace. Gabi tiptoed to the bathroom to splash some rose wash on her face. She briefly felt much bliss inside and delight upon her skin.

With sugar on her lips, a brush upon her hair, she wanted to feel Christmas so she went to sleep downstairs. Imperial at heart, it holds love she longs to give. Majestic are her dreams that every girl should live.

A twinkle in the sky, stardust among the tree, ‘knock,knock,knock’ she heard three times: ‘what is this, could it be?’ With a candle in her hand, dainty slippers on her feet pointed to the toe so the floor won’t make a creak. Her heart warm like coco, her soul beaming gold ‘Come with me this holiday night. Come inside! You must be cold!’

They danced throughout the halls to the nutcracker ballet they also dressed like fairies, garnished every inch of the foyer! Light on their feet downstairs they snuck down to the fridge, giggling and giddy were they as they tried every tomorrow’s dish.

They fancied in every gown; some silk, some lace. They also made Christmas cookies with icing on their face. They then dolled up their dos, twined their locks in darling curls. Much fun did they have tonight, being princesses, being girls

The night was growing morn both girls tired from their play, they need to get some rest now for tomorrow is Christmas Day. A wonderland of blankets their curly heads close their eyes. Gabi peaked after Em fell asleep- this was the best night of her life. She glanced across the festive room and gazed so full of glee. Christmas isn’t about the things you have and it’s not underneath the tree! Christmas magic isn’t wrapped in paper nor is it garnished with a bow, the gift of friendship warm and true beings the purest love and glow. The things we really want inside cannot be brought or seen, no gift or item will ever replace what Gabriella felt this Christmas Eve.

I am currently in my pretty bedroom with my kitty snuggled up on my new pink plaid blanket scarf, Cinderella playing and copious amounts of inspiration running through my mind. ♡ I am waiting for my Mama to pick me up so we can go get our matching bow tattoos ♡ (also have to pick up my missing ingredients for pink strawberry cupcakes I’m baking tonight!) I have just another day left of Spring break before I go back to school (only for a little over a month though!) and have been feeling quite down because of it. I am truly looking forward to coming home for summer and spending each day with Stormy and baking and gardening and shopping and doing lovely things at h o m e ♡ things coming up for finishing my semester at school include my Lily Scaling project&presentation, my Cinderella Children’s Literature project&presentation, and studies for Medicinal Plants. I have a folder on my desktop full of inspo for my p I n k room - to - be here at home and am over ze moon happy about it!! In addition to this, when I come home for summer I am taking floral classes and such, and may even be visiting Graceland to see Elvis’s home?! a dream come true for me!

- over this break I've done wonderful things - I spent all my time with my family and best friend Mia - I arranged a bouquet of yellow tulips for the living room, went shopping, watched Gabi DeMartino videos and Ari videos, and went on plenty of coffee runs! I got myself a pint of Ben&Jerry’s cookie dough ice cream as a treat, and even though was feeling guilty, I told myself “I deserve this” and had a bit of it ♡

- tonight’s plans are ... to help cook dinner with my mom, to watch The Dolly Sisters, bake pink cupcakes with my mama, and enjoy Pomegranate tea ♡
