nah i was fr laughing at the idea because… she COULD’VE GOTTEN RID OF HER TOO.

the funny thing is that i was laughing because not only is gabbie marshall a mediocre defender at best, but paige is generally unguardable. you can put two guys, three guys on her, she plays the one-man game. like i can literally see it in my mind’s eye, remembering the move from the south carolina game 2 years ago. because when she gets hot, you’re not touching her. she just didn’t get hot last night.

paige plays like steph, she’s always moving, but she directs the floor even from the 4. she gets a screen when she calls for a screen. i saw aaliyah screen for her maybeeee 3-4 times. ice: none.

but i’ve seen paige shake a defender before. put her in front of her, a little hesi, fake out, get to the cup. i’ve seen her weave through the press like it’s fucking nothing - and she can’t shake ONE MEDIOCRE DEFENDER?

gabbie marshall stayed on her, i’ll give her that. but it was nothing paige hasn’t dealt with in the past and could not have dealt with last night.
