Before/after of my new Velvet Bow! She’s soooo pretty and unique with her light grey, blue and purple color scheme. I bought a big lot of g3s/g4s just to get her. She still has some spots so I need to get some acetone to fix her up, but her hair turned out lovely! A really stunning girl 💙

Some redesigns I did for G3’s monster ball… I really disliked their original designs so I tried to make my own

Lagoona : I feel like her original color palette clashes so much with her design. I wanted to give her more of a mermaid-y dress while also maintaining some of the hot pinks and coral designs. I feel like G3 Lagoona fits more with pastel colours because of her hair. Also she’s always been my favorite, give her some justice please ｡°(°.◜ᯅ◝°)°｡

Draculaura - Probably an unpopular opinion, but I really dislike her dress. It’s giving 80s in the worst way possible. I still wanted to keep its key elements- the ruffles and her big hair. I decided to give her more of an Elvira inspired hairstyle. I got rid of the bows because they felt too overwhelming for me. Instead I gave her lil bat wings.

Cleo De Nile - I don’t completely despise her original design, I think it’s the most decent out of them all, but I wanted to enhance her slick features with another kind of dress. Her dress is adorned by coins- a callback to coin jewellery that originated in ancient Egypt. I wanted her to have more mature, almost godly features, since she’s the ruler of Monster High.

And lastly, Clawdeen - Clawdeen has always worn a suit and I think that’s neat. However, what I DON’T like is the type of suit g3 wears. It feels like it belongs in the 80s, with the velvet like texture and the shoulder pads, it’s a big no for me. I also didn’t like that shade of purple on Clawdeen so I made it a cooler shade. I wanted to give her a more business casual style, fashionable and chic. I also gave her curls, because she’d look so pretty!!

Twilight Sparkle Redesign

Figured I'd sprinkle some of my old redesigns here!! They've been posted on my DA for a while but I am still really happy with them!

First is Princess Twilight Sparkle! She started out as a regular unicorn stature, but this is what I envision her in her growth spurt after she becomes an alicorn. Below are some headcanons and info about her in my personal nextgen story!

Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Magic and Friendship, is the fourth Princess of Equestria. Her parents, Night Light and Twilight Velvet, are immensely proud of their daughter and their son, Emperor Shining Armor of the Crystal Empire. Both ascended to god-like status for serving and protecting Equestria with their lives and continuing to be strong leaders to the country. Twilight splits her time between Canterlot and Ponyville, her presence needed often in both places. While she still struggles with stress, she is very loved and respected by her friends and every pony around her. After the events with the Storm King, she grew close to her new personal guard Tempest Shadow, and the two had an on again off again relationship before officially marrying.

This Twilight is bi :3

Her cutiemark is based off the G3 pony toy Twilight Twinkle and Velvet Bow! It is still representative of her magical ties and the friends she is destined to meet.

I think mlp should made more on-theme holiday ponies. Especially in g3 most of them are pink??? Like winter is not a pink holiday? It doesn’t even have to be Christmas themed, just wintery. Blues and gold and white are usually winter holiday colors. Maybe some pine tree greens and red to resemble winter plants? Hell, even an orange candied yam pony would make more sense.

Why is she pink??? Why are a significant amount of them pink?

Like they’re DRESSED for winter, but I’m not convinced that their whole thing IS winter.

There are some really good ones like minty, snow’el, velvet bow, snowflake and marshmallow coco, just to name a few. But most of them are just white and blue, and can look very same-y.

Idk my opinion here doesn’t mean much bc this gen ended like 20 yrs ago, (damn) but ,,,, idk idk.

Anyway I love seeing fan made ponies! And mock-ups of fan made mlp toys! Keep doing that, that’s great! :)

It’s My Little Monday! With...The Pony Project G3 Junie Moon Autumn! The charity (Give Kids the World Village) sponsored MLP professional artist gallery show returns to My Little Monday with yet another pony. This one is “Junie Moon Autumn” pony, and she’s been customized with nice earth tone colors and lace. The pony is kind of a beige skin color, with a brown velvet dress, lace cape, fur collar, and lace decor for her forehead. In the brown bow is a little crown. They added eyelashes in 3D/hair for her upper lids. It looks like the eye may be decorated with gems or something, but it’s too hard to see at the angle of the photos. Her hair has been kept white, tied into buns, and has gold ribbon added. More lace and beadwork surround each foot. Look at the back leg: it looks like there’s some tiny text there near the bottom. Maybe it’s a signature? Working with a giant pony like this makes it easier to use more normal materials and easier to work with as well (in some ways) Items like cloth, lace and faux fur look better often at normal/human sizes rather than miniature. Everything here looks to scale, and she seems to have a calming theme. Presumably, the photo was taken by the artist, but there is no label on anything (again). As is also the usual, this one can re-appear if more information is found/added.

Before and after on these two G3s! I love g3 hair, there are so many great color combos, and it’s good quality so it often turns out lovely with a little TLC. This is part 1 of the lot I bought solely for Velvet Bow, but Cherry Blossom here is growing on me and I might keep her too. More ponies to come soon 😃
