How Common is Neurodivergence?
Tumblr media
[image id: poster of "How Common is Neurodivergence?.” There are 12 circles and five small images: an image of a brain, speech bubbles, an infinity sign, a person reading, and a person surrounded by arrows and balls. Each of the 12 circles has a percentage representing how common a particular form of neurodivergence is written in Open Dyslexic font. Full transcript, more information, and references under the cut.]
More Information
Forms of neurodivergence represented here are focused on neurodevelopmental disorders.
These percentages are representative of percentage in general population and do not reflect percentages within neurotypes which are often higher due to co-occurrence being the norm, rather than the exception, within neurodevelopmental disorders; for example, 33-45% of people with ADHD will also have dyslexia (Butterworth & Kovas, 2013), whereas only 10% of the general population are dyslexic (British Dyslexia Association [BDA], 2023).
Certain neurodivergencies are often underrepresented and under-reported, so the percentages are likely to be higher; for example, one study suggests that rates for FASD in the UK may be as high as 17% (McQuire et al., 2019).
Some of the neurodivergencies represented here are umbrella terms and percentages given are representative of all forms of neurodiversity belonging to that term; for example, SpLds include dyslexia which is at a rate of 10% (BDA, 2023) and dyscalculia which is at 3-7% (Haberstroh & Schulte-Körne., 2019). Tic Disorders at 1% are another example here, as this is inclusive of Tourette Syndrome which is at 0.6%, and around 1 in 5 individuals exhibit tics at some point during childhood (Cavanna et al., 2017).

This edition of the Marshall Star from 1973, a newsletter of the George C. Marshall Space Center in Huntsville, Alabama, features an article titled “Anita, Job Done, Dies Aboard Skylab.”
The article goes on to explain that Anita was the back-up spider in the Web Formation Experiment.  The primary spider, Arabella, was still alive at the time of the newsletter. Arabella’s current whereabouts are unknown.

Marshall Star Vol. 14, No. 2 . NASA George C. Marshall Space Flight Center -- Huntsville, Ala. 35812 . September, 1973 Final EVA Saturday Skylab 3 Crew Prepares For Next Week's 'Splash' Skylab's second manned crew, prvoding a bonanza of scientific data to investigators on Earth. has begun preparations for splashdown and recovery scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 25. As they head into the home stretch, Astronauts Alan Bean, Owen Garriott and Jack Lousma are operating ahead of experiment timelines. Flight directors estimate they will exceed 100 percent of their planned activity in all scientific disciplines. The crew is scheduled to conduct its third and final EVA Saturday. Exposed film cannisters will be removed from the Apollo Telescope Mount's instruments for stowage inside the Command and Service Module and return to Earth. For the EVA, the crew is to awaken at 2 a.m. Hatch opening is expected about four hours later. Monday the crew becan changing the rhythm of their sleep-work cycle by arising at 4 a.m. after goint to bed two hours early. This schedule was to be followed Tuesday. Today the crew planned to arise at 2 a.m. after beginning their sleep period at 6 p.m. last night. Purpose of the new sleep-work cycle is to prepare the astronauts for splashdown day when they will be required to arise early for a full day's activity. The crew was given the go- ahead last week for continuation to the end of the 59-day mission. This approval for a fourth incremental extension beyond 28 days followed review of the inflight medical data and the recommendation of the NASA director for life sciences, Dr. Charles A. Berry. The crew's health and spirits are excellent. The body weight of each has been relatively constant (See SKYLAB on Page 4) SOLAR ERUPTION -- A mammoth solar eruption is seen in this photo taken by the White Light Coronagraph about Sklyab. The eruption expanded into space at a speed of about one million miles per hour. When photographed it was approximately 220 times the diameter of Earth. Solar eruptions are a result of the interaction between solar material and magnetic fields around the Sun. Combined Federal Campaign 'Kickoff' Scheduled Monday MSFC's 1974 Combined Federal Campaign gets underway Monday with a "kickoff" in Morris Auditorium. The annual campaign combines the monetary needs of many health, welfare and recreational agencies into one drive. Rober G. Sheppard, executive chairman, stated the drive officially begins with the 10:45 a.m. kickoff and will end November 2. He explained that the 1974 goal is to do as well as in 1973 when MSFC employees contributed $194,712. Monday's kickoff ceremonies will feature and address by Dr. Rocco A. Petrone, director. He will be joined by several distinguished guests, including Mrs. Ruth Ferrari, International Services Agencies; Tom Horton, Jr., National Health Agencies; and Mrs. Jerri McLain, Huntsville/ Madison County United Way. MSFC lab and office directors, campaign mangers and solicitors are expected to attend the opening ceremonies. Music will be provided by the 55th U.S. Army Band. The Rev. Anita, Job Done, Dies Aboard Skylab One of Skylab's two "spider astronauts" --who never were intended to be brought back to Earth--has now finished her job in space and is dead. Anita, the backup spider for the Web Formation Experiment, ED52, apparently died sometime over the weekend. The report of Anita's death came from science pilot Owen Garriott early Monday. Although NASA had no plans to bring back the spiders, it was announced several weeks ago that they would be returned if they could be kept alive. Arabella, the prime spider for the experiment, is still doing fine. Garriott explained from the (See ANITA on Page 4)

Dongbaek can also attack with AoE, and when someone on your team gets Staggered, they can get stuck in the blooms Dongbaek can summon. This Staggers them for two turns, draining 20SP each time, and if they are not freed and their SP is drained all the way to -45, they will return to your team with 'Dazzled Mind' and attack each other. If your team get Staggered and get stuck in the flowers (with one exception, during her Withered attack), freeing them by destroying the flowers should be a priority.
If you have any more tips, please do leave them in the replies or tags.

g-rev ep 45 will always be fucking fascinating to me because it's like. so bizarre honestly. like the writers show that They Know they've been doing max dirty. but also they still don't let him win because they've written themselves into a corner where only two characters can get a win, which is weird because this is literally everyone's final showing and yet takao is the only one to make it through looking good. they literally went "yeah we know we've made him take L after L but we'll be ~extra generous~ and let him draw" it's so. it sure is!

Wandering Stars - Interview with Ryan Pitterson Show Notes
Summary:
Ryan Pitterson is a Bible scholar, lecturer, film maker and author of Judgment of the Nephilim, The Final Nephilim, their related study guides, the video Judgment of the Nephilim: Secrets Of The Preflood World Documentary, and The Final Nephilim: Battle For Heaven And Earth DVD. Ryan was our first ever guest interview on Bible Mysteries, he kicked off the 2023 with us in our Debriefing Summit in January, and he’s here to end our third season with us. Ryan, welcome back to Bible Mysteries!
Episode brought to you by our Premium Subscribers or Seekers:
Andrea C., Daniel R., LIsa G., Stephanie C., and William C. (July 2023)
Questions for Ryan:
1. First, bring us up to date on what you’re doing, any new projects, study guides, or videos.
2. Israel is in the news recently due to the latest attacks by Hamas, leading many Christians to believe this war is a fulfillment of Psalm 83. How do you think God is actively dealing with the modern nation of Israel today?
3. The Song of Moses, which contains Israel’s prophesied future, is still sung in Rev. 15, followed by the Song of the Lamb. Do you see a significance to this?
4. Modern Israel’s symbol is the Star of David - Chiun, Molech, Saturn’s star - (do not make any graven image: Deuteronomy 32:16-17.) Is this symbol not in violation of the Torah?
5. Per Hosea 5:15. - (till they acknowledge their offense,) Deut. 32:15 - (he forsook God which made him,) and Isaiah 59:20 - (them that turn from transgression,) God awaits Israel’s confession. Have the Jewish people or the State of Israel made their confession to God?
6. I have recently discussed the hidden treasure and the stones God could raise up as children to Abraham in Matthew 3:9 - (Of these stones;) Matthew 13:44 - (Treasure hid in a field.) Is it possible the true Israel of God is not the current secular nation but a still hidden group of people somewhere in the world?
7. Based on several passages, we know there are imposters who will call themselves Jews: (Tares among the wheat: Matt. 13,) (For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:: Romans 9:6-8,) (Synagogue of Satan: Rev. 2:9, 3:9,) (Kingdom of heaven taken by force: Matt. 11:12.) What does this reveal about the current nation Israel and the violence used to take the land of Palestine?
8. Based on the rejection of Christ as Messiah by the Israelites in 33 AD, the Kingdom was given to the little flock: Luke 12:32, Matthew 21. Would this not mean that true Israel will be believers in Messiah?
9. During the time of Jacob’s trouble, we know there will be “spots in your feasts of charity” - (Wandering stars (fallen angel/human hybrids): Jude 1:12-13. Could these be associated with the Nephilim?
10. Would God be using unrighteous Rothschild money funding Zionism (red shield, Star of Molech) to regather His people Israel when they appear to be governed by the same generation of Pharisees (generation of vipers - John 8, Matt. 23) who rejected Messiah?
11. Secular Judaism is based on Talmudic teachings and Kabbalah from Babylon: Deut. 32:21. Is this not the vain traditions that Jesus criticized as breaking the commandments of God in Matthew 15?
12. Many believe that Ezekiel 37 was fulfilled when Israel was established in 1948. Was that prophecy fulfilled, or will the nation be acknowledged after Ezekiel 39:23-29 and the battle of Gog and Magog:?
13. Could there be another Cyrus from Persia used by God to allow Jerusalem to be rebuilt? (Isaiah 45)
14. How can Isaiah 11 be fulfilled to gather Israel from the nations where God’s people are dispersed the second time (when Jesus returns) if current Israel is already...

harvest time
"but when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come." mark 4:29
i was communicating with a friend the other day.  she is an avid gardener and we talked about how we loved to watch things grow and how amazing it was.  there is a planting and there is a harvest.  "to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven." eccl 3:1
a dear friend keeps my yard for me but i like to have a few indoor plants to grow and watch the wonder of God's Word at work.  years ago i used to grow african violets because i think they are pretty.  (a former boss got me started on them.)  someone reminded me of that recently and i was enticed to order three again to grow.
i told my friend that one is very healthy and growing.  one is semi-healthy and struggling to put forth new growth.  the final one is very sickly with just a tiny blob emerging.  i told her it was on life support and i had begun talking to it and commanding it to "live," in Jesus name.  (you may think that silly but that name has all authority.)  unless i am being deceived, i think i see a tiny leaf struggling to grow.
you may ask why i am speaking so much about plants.  well the truth is we are all much like these three little violets i am attempting to grow.  of course, we all know the parable Jesus told about sowing seeds and how some prospered and some did not.  see mark, chapter four if you need refreshing.)
speaking of my violets again - the healthy one is looking good and i expect to see blooms from it before too long.  that's how "healthy" christians are too.  they may have gone through times of pruning before, but now they are walking purposefully with God and are ready to bloom and produce the fruit He wants from their lives.
then we have the semi-healthy ones.  perhaps they want to do better, to be better, but they keep getting distracted by various things.  i know we must all be diligent to perform the needed tasks, but not to the neglect of the Lord.  i have often thought before that there just wasn't time to pray.  i have since learned better.  it's amazing how God can multiply you available time when you put Him first.  time is like the parable of the loaves and fishes.  He can multiply anything.
the worry i have for these brethren is that they might be perceived by God as those who are "neither hot nor cold."  and because of that, "so then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth." rev 10:10  i don't want that for them.  God doesn't want that for them, but He doesn't want some mealy mouthed, uncommitted christians.  He wants "choosers."  (do you remember the message i wrote about the fence?)
then we come to the sickly ones on life support.  they have believed in the grace God offers and rejoiced in it at one time.  then, perhaps slowly, they began to be deceived by the message the world was offering.  things like real love means being free to love anyone.  after all, we were given free will and just maybe we wants something different from the norm - different from God's way.  God's wants us to be happy and you just can't be happy living His way.
soon their spirit becomes calloused like tough skin on one's hands or feet.  it becomes so hardened that it mat be cut away without ant pain whatsoever.  friends, it is that pain that lets us know there is a problem; that lets us know something is wrong and danger lies ahead.
"then you returned and wept before the Lord, but the Lord would not listen to your voice nor give ear to you." deut 1:45  one cannot come to the Lord unless the Holy Spirit draws them.  perhaps He has spoken and spoken and you would not listen.  now He will not listen to you.
life support indeed.  venturing close to the firey fires of hell.  a place there is no coming back from.  "between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us." luke 16:26  and we're talking forever.
heavenly Father, in you great, abundant mercy i pray that you call again to those standing of the brink of eternity.  grant ears to hear, eyes to see and a truly repentant heart.  speak once again to their spirit before the plunge into that great abyss - separation from You forever.  In the name of Jesus i pray.
