Meet my wee friend Hamish.  Also, a lot of ospreys and horses and a deer drinking next to a beaver lodge.
In between animal sightings, I hiked the 12km Bufflehead Loop in Frontenac Provincial Park.  Light a little candle for my hip flexors, please.

“Savage Given Three Years For Break-in,” Kingston Whig-Standard. June 11, 1942. Page 1.  ---- Michael Savage was found guilty by Judge J. E. Madden of Napanee, at the General Sessions of the Peace and County Court for the County of Frontenac, this morning and sentenced to three years In the Kingston Penitentiary.
Savage was found guilty of breaking and entering the premises of the Coca-Cola Company on April 12. He admitted a lengthy police record, having served nearly five of his 25 years In jails or the penitentiary. He told Judge Madden that if the war were still on when his sentence was up, he would reform and join the Army.
Judge J. C. Reynolds presided for County Court when it resumed after Savage was sentenced.
Four boys, Edward Wright, Douglas Foote, Vernon Smith and Gerald Driscoll are being tried for the break-in at Arthur Kemp's service station and store on the Perth Road, five miles north of Kingston.
The first witness, Arthur Kemp, the proprietor of the service station related to Crown Attorney T. J. Rigney, his chase after five toys in a coach car, about six Reeks ago.
Kemp testified that he and his wife had heard a noise, late in the evening from their home across the road from their service station. Jumping into his truck, parked beside the house, he and his wife headed for the station and heard a car pull away with no lights and, as he drove north on the Perth Road toward Inverary, spotted the car ahead of him and the pursuit was on.
The coach that Kemp was chasing eventually stopped in a laneway between two houses in Inverary and Provincial Constables J. Truaisch and C. Hubble were called to the scene.
Mrs. Kemp related how her husband had let her out of his truck in Inverary to go for Constable Gordon Silvers and he kept rn with the chase of the boys in the car.
[AL: Savage, pictured, was 26 at time of conviction, a tinsmith in an auto plant, born of Ukrainian immigrant parents, was from Oshawa, and had a long record in reformatories and a previous term at Kingston Penitentiary.  His brother-in-law Nick Turek, had been brought to the penitentiary for a three year term in 1939. At Kingston Penitentiary, he was convict #6966, worked in the Tin & Paint, and was released in October 1944. No sign that he enlisted, though.]

Welcome to the news channel of the Angry Nature,Today we will tell you about Ontario Canada, china and Bangladesh Tornado,, Thousands of people were without power Sunday evening after a destructive storm capable of producing tornadoes tore across eastern Ontario, toppling trees and damaging homes. Environment Canada issued several tornado warnings Sunday night as the powerful storm made its way across the region. Warnings were issued for the region around Frontenac Provincial Park north of Kingston, Ont., then later — as the storm headed east — for communities like Gananoque and Brockville. The weather agency said the storm was capable of generating winds of 100 kilometres per hour, calling it a "dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation." Large hail and intense rainfall were also possible, Environment Canada added. At least one storm spotter reported seeing a tornado, the agency said. The agency advised people to take shelter indoors in a room on the lowest floor, away from outside walls or windows, as tornadoes cannot be seen at night and may strike without warning. The tornado warning for the Frontenac Provincial Park area was lifted at around 9:30 p.m., while the warnings around Brockville ended shortly after 11 p.m. As of 11:30 p.m., several severe thunderstorm watches remained in place.
