If its okay to ask, what made you think of making Frogma Friday a regular thing?

3 reasons:

My love of both Dogma and frogs and enjoyment of combining both interests;

My need to have an ongoing mini project (something which I've failed to maintain in the past), just to see if I could keep it up;

Silly doodles help improve both mine and other's moods, so I try to end what could possibly be a rough week with something not super serious to at least make it less of a bitter experience.

having an anon friend always seems like so much fun and i’m somehow jealous of you.

my fave time of day: my favourite time of day is definitely just before the sun sets. like when the sun looks so much bigger and the sky is a bunch of different colours, that’s my favourite time. (it’s also the time i go home everyday so maybe it’s also the fact that it’s home time).

my favourite character: alaska young. the book version though. there was something about “looking for alaska” that hooked me in at a young age and i’ve never quite been the same since.

one fact: i failed high school english. most of my friends see me as highly literate so when i tell them i actually failed english (it’s my first language too) it always comes as a big shock.

now my questions for you: what’s your favourite holiday? if you could have any fast food brand available to you at a moments notice, what would it be? if you had to describe yourself using two colours, which would they be? 🩶

ohhh, that moment before the sun sets is such a beautiful one!! i'm curious what your landscape is like when you're heading home each day -- are you seeing this sky against a city backdrop? an expanse of fields? suburban streets lined with houses? a mountain with houses scattered all down it? the sea or other waterscape? i must know.

haha i am excited that you ended up choosing a character i actually know! fun fact, when i was in high school, my childhood best friend and i reconnected and we always had a kind of ethereal bond. one day we were sitting in her car in a cemetery and decided we wanted to rename ourselves based on our truer nature, but decided we should name each other. i actually named her Alaska, because she so, so reminded me of Alaska from that book. she was just (still is, even now)...unearthly in some ways. magic kind of poured out of every part of her. she ended up changing her name to Alaska really everywhere, truly went by the name for years. I think she only recently started going by her birth name again. (she named me Luna, if you're wondering, and what a compliment, to be compared to the moon in any sense)

i hope it's not rude to say, but i love your one fact? cause fuck school. it is so not a measure of our actual intelligence or proclivities. kinda love that you prove that with that story -- though i am sorry you had that experience, because I'm sure it was very stressful.

okay, i probably already apologized for this, but like.......sorry again for having absolutely no capacity for short replies. i don't really know how people don't comment on every little thing like this? hopefully you don't hate it!

favorite holiday: generally speaking, Christmas. Huge fan of Halloween as well. but the last few years Christmas has been very quiet for me, and while I haven't hated that, it just isn't exactly the holiday it used to be. So you know what? In this moment, I think my answer might be New Year's Eve instead. for several years now I've spent that day in reflection, and journaled for hours at night about the previous year or years, hopes for the new year, all of that. I love it. and I love that, unlike other holidays, I don't really feel the need or even desire to be with others that day -- so the fact that I'm usually not doesn't feel strange or like something i need to fix.

fast food brand: i don't really eat fast food much, or eat out that often at all. but despite the fact that i hardly ever eat red meat, for some reason my brain has associated "i did a hard thing and now i deserve heavy-calorie, easy meal" with Five Guys. which is basically really expensive, wonderfully greasy burgers, and i always feel like shit afterward, but there you have it.

two colors: oh how i love this question... it's hard not to jump to my favorite colors, but that's not what you're asking here. i'm so curious what my friends would say 😆 but me? i think i would say the golden yellow of ginkgo leaves in fall. and... mm, yeah, the dark green of a spruce tree (i looked some up, and i think the black hills spruce tree is the best representation of the green i mean).

Maruko tilts her head slightly, since it seems that her friend really wants to take a peak inside. She sort of shrugs and obliges, though!

She creaks open her jaws carefully and presents her mouth towards him nicely. He is a friend, so no biting or worrying for him! She slooooowly lets her long and thick tongue loll out of her mouth to allow a better look inside, steam coming out every time she exhales a deep breath to stay calm for him.

Sharp and big pointed teeth! A big drooly tongue! A... surprisingly bigger-on-the-inside mouth? Yep, it's exactly what that seems to be. What seems like a small enough mouth leads to a cavity much bigger on the inside! It must be how she deals with eating things much larger than her. It probably doesn't matter to her if in one gulp or many bites, either.

In the back is just an ominous hole that is her gullet. That's where a lot of the steam is coming from, too. Scary-looking for someone who's usually so cute!

What is your OC’s most hated food? Stuff they can’t stand to eat or drink?

Violet isn't picky about food most times, but he won't eat raw meat.

Poppy doesn't eat meat at all anymore.

Nyx has a problem with vegetables but that's mostly out of stubbornness.

Ash doesn't really have anything he won't eat, but if it happens to be something he doesn't like that much or was made badly, he'll be extra mean about it.

Nightmare won't eat apples. This extends to apple-flavoured candy and pastries with apple filling.

Fresh will eat almost anything, as long as no one's being sappy about taking care of him with food. Positive intent is hard to parse and kind of puts him off his appetite.

Violet is Poppy's biggest fan.

Poppy worries about their brother, but they also love him very dearly.

Nyx's favourite person is someone he's given a cereal-themed nickname to.

Nightmare can't be expected to choose a favourite person. Not when he's surrounded by family idiots.

Fresh is his own favourite person. All you need for survival is yourself, after all.

Violet has a lot of lingering issues from his timeline that he doesn't like to talk about. Every so often, though, someone says something that sets him off, and it can take a while to calm him down. Most people don't find Violet scary, but he's always ready for the one who might.

Poppy is afraid of a lot of things these days, but they're doing their best not to let it get to them. Like their brother, Poppy always expects people to be afraid of them, and is a little surprised when they're not.

Nyx doesn't like being alone. Sometimes he wants people to be afraid of him, but it can be a bit hard to take him seriously at times.

Ash is afraid of settling down. As much as he wants it, in his mind, there's always a risk that any happiness he's found will be taken from him at a moment's notice. People don't usually find him scary as much as just plain mean.

Nightmare will tell everyone that he's not afraid of anything, but no one's really sure how much they believe that. Plenty of people might find him scary, and he can always make sure they do, if that's what he wants.

Fresh would like to keep his fears to himself, thanks. The fewer people know, the fewer there are to exploit them. Not many people find him scary (unless they know what he actually is) and that's the way he'd like things to stay.

Violet would say he's definitely in a better place, but he still slips up sometimes. He doesn't like to get angry, but when people hurt those he's closest to, his fuse is fairly short. He would tell his past self that even if things feel impossible, they can get better. He's not sure he'd want to listen to any advice from his past self.

Poppy is more nervous than they used to be, and a lot of their old optimism has drained away. They may be in a better place than they used to be, but more work can always be done. Like Violet, they'd tell their past self not to give up, and there's a chance that, even though so many other things are different, their past self might say the same to them.

Nyx and Ash don't want to talk about themselves ten years ago, but their mental states have improved. Unfortunately, they've improved in such a way that their old coping mechanisms are actively harmful.

Nightmare hasn't changed much in ten years. He's lived for about 500, ten years isn't that long. You could say that time has mellowed him out a little, but I wouldn't say it too loud.

Fresh doesn't change much either. He's still a menace, still goes around the multiverse spreading 90s themed chaos and doing impromptu anti-drug PSAs. Any advice he'd give his past self is likely to be the same advice his past self would give him.

I want you to know that frogma is so special to me. I rotate him like a rotisserie chicken in my head at least once every two weeks. He's so done with everything. Distressed yet completely resigned. Whenever I see him on my dash I have to go look through all the other frogma Fridays because he just brings me that much joy.

I’ve only seen Frank in two episodes but I don’t think I like him either. And. Another thing that’s fascinating is the blocking in this show. Idk if it’s direction or just the actors’ decision but the way eddie and buck are always paired together is making me feral.
