First two are Bloom and Flora!

Normally Bloom is portraited with bright pink colors, but i personally prefer these colors on Flora.

I gave Bloom different shades of blue and a deeper color of pink, similar to her Dreamix/Onyrix colors. Obviously she's the little cinnamon roll with hearts so i had to bring these in her design as well. She doesn't have any "sea elements", however her color pallet is remind me of the deep sea with pink corals/anemones, which are represented in some of her accesoires

Flora on the other hand gives off more Plant vibes ofc. Dark green for sea grass or alge, or a jungle near the beach, with bright pink and green plants from tropical plants or a coral reef. I gave her more soft curves, resembling her softer personality and again, plants, while also giving her some spikes bc we Stan powerful Mom friend Flora that fights back if u hurt her friends.

You Shouldn’t Challenge Us, Pixies!

Icy

Icy is the daughter of two powerful witches from Dyamond. She was raised being told she needed to be just as strong as them. This caused her to be very selfish because she tried everything to rise to the top, even if it meant risking others. She’s dedicated to following her parents and wants to surpass them. Though she also wishes to be stronger than them because they had pushed her to the side when her little sister was born, she hates them for casting her to the side. She wants power so they’ll love her again. She truly only befriended Stormy and Darcy because she thought they were strong and thought if she was friends with them, they could make her stronger. She forced Enchantix with Darkar’s help, never wanting or planning to risk herself for another person.

Darcy

Darcy doesn’t know her parents, her aunts raising her instead since they left. She was being raised to become a shrine maiden to one of the shrines to the Shadow Phoenix on Whisperia. When she was accepted into Cloud Tower, her aunts fully supported her, allowing her to follow the path she wanted. She first befriended Stormy, the two being roommates and partners for a lot of classes. Icy shared a room with them as well but never really bothered with them until halfway through the second semester. She never thought very well of Icy, she thought she was an okay friend but didn’t like how self-centered she could get. She stayed friends with her for Stormy’s sake. She earned her Enchantix after saving her aunt, earning it traditionally instead of forcing it. She and Stormy both defected after the incident on Andros with Tressa. She already was having trouble with Icy because of Darkar. Growing up on Whisperia as she did, she didn’t like Darkar’s actions and thought he was disrespecting the Shadow Phoenix. She gave up her magic temporarily and helped out Alfea and Cloud Tower to help repay them for what she did. Her Dreamix was earned as well, earning it when giving Bloom a hand in finding her parents and uncovering her secrets about the gods that got her further into finding answers.

Stormy

Stormy was born and raised in Magix, but her parents are from Andros and Solaria. She was very close to Darcy when they first started attending Cloud Tower. She was very close to Icy, falling for her in the process. She wanted to stay close to her and was torn between staying with Darcy or Icy. When Valtor took over Andros’s mermaid kingdom and saw how it affected Andros as a whole, she was sickened by it. Andros had been her father’s home and she had family there, she couldn’t bear what happened to it. She turned on them, swearing she’d get back at them. She, like Darcy, turned herself in, bearing the same punishment with her magic being taken and having to help out at the schools. She earned her Enchantix traditionally too, like Darcy. She’s upset with herself for being so trusting of Icy and for siding with her. She felt dumb for not seeing how selfish Icy could get to the point she nearly destroyed Stormy’s family’s home planet.

World of Winx Nemesis! Nemesises? Nemesi??

Vertigo, Banshee, Obscura, Petra(Stoney) Metallica (sinka), and Virus

So the nemeses are created beings, drawing power from Bella Tinker and the Source of Dreams on Neverland. They aren’t “alive” technically, and are something more like moving dolls connected to the source, which in turn is tapping into each of the winx’s unconscious fears. While they appear solid, they’re kind of glitchy when it comes to the physical world, clipping through objects and walking “not quite right” as gravity affecting them is hit or miss.

Vertigo is... weird. She’s tapping into several fears of Bloom’s, but primarily Bloom’s fear that she’s a fake. They she’s not as good as people see her, that her accomplishments are virtue of the dragon flame and not HER, that one day she would wake up and everything about the winx her past and being a fairy would just be a very vivid dream. Vertigo wears at Bloom’s mental state with mirages and “glitches”, making her feel paranoid and panicked, She also impersonates Bloom a couple times, making Bloom think she’s had black outs/missing time. Bloom defeats her by accepting that she might not always know whats happening but she’s choosing to put her faith in herself and her own heart. 

Banshee taps into Musa’s tumultuous relationship with music and people. Musa views music as connection, she feels the most understood and authentic when speaking through song. Banshee layers whispers into Musa’s music, telling her everyone will leave her and she can never truly connect with others. In France Banshee uses her manipulation of sound to prevent Musa from properly hearing voices or music, further separating Musa from communication. Musa defeats her by meshing her own melodic style with the discordant noise Banshee creates, essentially accepting rejection and disagreement as parts of connection and using those to create and build from instead of cutting them out at the cost of the song.

Obscura pulls from Stella’s fear of rejection. Obscura uses shadow magic to prompt others to either only see the bad in Stella, or not see her at all. Stella is  eventually wrapped in the shadow of her own past rejections when she genuinely believed herself to be worthless. Obscura taunts Stella with a revolving flashbacks, pushing her farther and farther into shadow until she thinks Stella is completely with out light. Unfortunately for Obscura, Stella notices she is giving off a faint glow even trapped in complete darkness. Stella defeats Obscura by acknowledging the strength of her own light and realizing she doesn’t need others to see it to know its real (aka her worth and value aren’t dependent on other’s acceptance or rejection of it).

Petra is an odd one, Flora doesn’t have a lot of obvious fears besides loosing a loved one, but subconsciously she’s afraid of her own power. Flora is a healer, a supporter, and an observer by nature, but she knows she could be one of the most deadly/destructive magic users ever if she wanted to. Petra confronts Flora head on instead of laying a groundwork first like the other nemeses. Petra doesn’t give a shit about peter(who also happens to be there) but focuses all of her power on Flora, pushing her to her limits and forcing her to use more offensive attack magic and shaming her for defending herself. Flora eventually defeats Petra by accepting her dual nature of rose and thorn. Violence is part of nature, and even if Flora chooses to heal instead of 

Metallica is a triple threat, she taps into Aisha fear of being trapped, her insecurity about pushing people away to protect herself, and impulsivity. Metallica is another one that attacks directly (or at least she seems to). Her first attack she lets Aisha defeat her, giving her a false independence/confidence boost, while leaving a her gold rings as a lingering spell around Aisha that eventually activate, trap Aisha’s wrists and feet, and drag her to the bottom of the ocean. Aisha’s morphix lets her breath underwater but she starts to panic being trapped and powerless in the dark. She defeats Metallica by using a meditation technique Flora showed her to calm down, a light spell from Stella to see what was trapping her, a heat spell from Bloom to melt the rings, and then a frequency spell from musa combined with a metal spell she learned from tecna to turns them on Metallica in a calculated effort to ensure destruction this time.

Virus is pretty straightforward, Tecna is all about that control. She liked to know exactly whats happening and what to expect from any given person or situation. She is easily overwhelmed when things don’t go to plan, so Virus infecting all her tech, taking over her friends, and controlling Tecna’s environment is a recipe for panic and fear. Tecna defeats Virus by releasing her control and working purely off instinct instead of logic, she specifically channels her magic in the form of raw electricity, striking haphazardly instead of powering it through a circuit like she normally does creating an unpredictable attacks in bursts that Virus can’t avoid.

After each nemesis is defeated the girl’s Dreamix starts to change, but more on that in the Dreamix/Onyrix post.

Design notes! (for those who are interested? i guess?) These guys were pretty easy shape wise, the only one I majorly changed was Stoney, who has that weird bird(?) associated in canon lmao. The hardest part was actually picking colors, originally I was going to work off of the winx’s pallets, but every variation on that theme just turned out weird... eventually I ended up using the winx pallets, put that through a layer filter that made the colors more “dreamy” and off, then used the nemeses og colors as a base to lay the dreamy colors over them lightly. if that makes zero sense im sorry i literally had no idea what i was doing either.

WoW S01E07

Oh, so the man and the woman are cops. That was underwhelming. Not to mention that Winx didn’t even know there was a bug but, luckily for them, the cops didn’t get to hear about the dream world.

That dramatic reveal was so unnecessary. Even I knew it was Lorelai and I’d literally only seen her in a thumbnail on a YouTube video. And of course, she couldn’t be actually nice so they’d struggle with keeping secrets from her because she’s a friend. No, she has to be super annoying.

This cop plot is dragging and I am just a liiiiittle skeptical about those cooking techniques Flora and Tecna are giving. And wasn’t just Flora supposed to be the chef?

Oh, just Bloom Dreamix in this episode? At least using her powers to evaporate the water was cool. One cool thing in a whole ep. And they got the wrong suspect.

Daphne - Nymph of the Dragon Flame

The Dragon Flame, the source of creation in the Magic Dimension, given by the Great Dragon, is the heart of all magic. Daphne, the last Nymph to possess the Dragon Flame, was extremely powerful and the de facto leader of the Nymphs of Magix. Her death, along with the disappearance of the Dragon Flame, caused a great unbalance in the Magic Dimension.  

Politea - Nymph of Sirenix

The undersea sorceress, Politea is the master of Sirenix. She often oversees trials of fairies and witches alike who are seeking to obtain and hone Selkix and Sirenix powers. She resides in Andros’ seas. She was Daphne’s friend and rival.

Mayia - Nymph of Enchantix

Possibly originating from Magix.

Vega - Nymph of Cosmix

A space faring magical being. Her homeworld is unknown.

Neilina - Nymph of Cryptix

A woodland witch from Linphea.

Sapphire - Nymph of Gemix

A Nymph from Dyamond.

Calypso - Nymph of Dreamix

An elusive and secretive Nymph, not much is known about her. Her homeworld is unknown.

Noctix: A fan transformation of mine that combines Dreamix and Onyrix from World of Winx. I know it’s technically a spinoff and should be taken with a grain of salt anyway, but I feel that it could have been handled much better. I was actually inspired to do this by @emsartwork‘s Faunix transformation (mostly because Tecna’s reminded me of a Luna Moth), as well as her personal headcanons abt the show. Deets below!!

In my idea, Neverland is a part of the World of Dreams, but the World of Dreams itself is an infinitely expansive dimension, much like the Infinite Ocean--only it connects to the dreams of the worlds rather than oceans. Tinkerbell is an Earth Fairy--specifically the Major Fairy of Dreams-and when the Wizards of the Black Circle attacked, she fled to Neverland instead of the Legendarium World. She herself is a Danix Fairy instead of a Noctix one, and the NeverTree is her chosen source of magic. The Spirit of the World of Dreams is the only fairy native to Neverland, and she is the creator of the Noctix transformation. When Tinkerbell grew corrupt, she changed from the Fairy of Dreams to the Witch of Nightmares, losing her wings until her heart healed; she was still connected to the NeverTree, which is what brought the cold mists to Neverland. The shadow creatures she summoned are actual literal nightmares, and the very manifestation of fear itself.

As for Noctix, it is not an officially recognized transformation, as the only fairies who know about it are fairies who have the power. Noctix is also a fairly dangerous power to have if one isn’t careful, so it is doubtful that the transformation would be sanctioned.

The power of Noctix is earned when a fairy’s magic is bound to the NeverTree, by her own volition or someone else’s. She will immediately be transformed and pulled into the World of Dreams where she will be told of her new power (except in the case of the Winx, as the Spirit was fending off Tinkerbell). Once her magic is bound, the connection is permanent: destruction to the NeverTree will cause her to lose her powers permanently.

As a transformation, it’s primary function is to travel between the real world and the World of Dreams. The reason the Winx couldn’t make the portals on their own at first was because Tinkerbell trapping the kids in the NeverTree weakened its and Noctix’s power. Once the power was restored, it was a better idea to use Noctix exclusively in the World of Dreams: using its powers in the real world breaks the barrier between the two. Noctix is considerably weaker in the real world because the connection is weaker; despite this it is still more useful than other transformations dealing with dream creatures. It is a warm and comfortable transformation to be in, especially in the cold fog of Neverland, and the durable wings can stand up to more.

Like Believix, Noctix has a deep connection to the human psyche--Noctix fairies are more powerful when people follow their dreams and pursue their passions. They have a natural detection of passionate people about to live their dreams, and are drawn to them like moths to a flame. People more skilled in their craft are usually closer to this state than those starting out.

Like Enchantix, Noctix produces a special kind of dust from the wings: it is referred to as Dream Sand. Dream Sand can allow others to fly into the World of Dreams without wings, open portals if necessary, or make people fall asleep. The watches that connect the two worlds are all filled with Dream Sand.

I took pieces of the two transformations (the sashes from Dreamix, and the flowers and ponytails from Onyrix) but based the rest on moths that I felt fit the girls’ styles, and pajamas I could see them wearing:

Bloom: Her design is based on an Atlas Moth, and her outfit is a classic pajama set of a shirt and matching pants. Her special Noctix power is a special heat vision that allows her to see burning passions.

Stella: Her design is based on a Jewel Moth, and her outfit is the infamous “widow-with-inheritance” robe. Her special Noctix power is to lighten the hearts of the downtrodden.

Musa: Her design is based on an Ornate Bella Moth, and her outfit is a regular tee-shirt with pajama pants. Her special Noctix power is to hear the whispers of a person’s deepest desire.

Tecna: Her design is based on a Luna Moth, and her outfit is a hoodie with sweats. Her special Noctix power is to focus the mind of someone nervous about achieving their dream.

Flora: Her design is based on a Rosy Maple Moth, and her outfit is a nightgown with pajama pants. Her special Noctix power is to use sweet scents to calm people down.

Aisha: Her design is based on a Giant Leopard Moth, and her outfit is just comfy athletic clothes. Her special Noctix power is to motivate people to follow their dreams.

Winx Club Transformations

Ok so this might be a hot take for some of you but I've been binge watching Winx Club and I need to talk about character design form the prospective of someone studying character design. So here we go!

*Note: These are MY opinions. Feel free to share yours, just know these are MY opinions.*

Season 1! Or Charmix:

Good, show the character personalities. And is generally functional. All and all true Classics. Easily top 3.

Enchantix!:

A great step both in story(back when there was only going to be 3 seasons.) and design. They look like the fairies you'd see and read in books. Again also functional, along with showing the character personality and powers. Again easily top 3.

Believix and the other forms.:

Believix is... Ok? I mean it's like an earth transformation so I can sorta let the wanna be pop star go. If it weren't for the wings I wouldn't believe they were fairies if I didn't know the show. But the plant one and snow one looks really good. And have a really good fairy vibe. No real opinion of the wing changing. But its functional, and you can see some of the characters personalities.

Harmonix.:

Oh boy... Where do I start... How about a question, Do you know how hard to swim in a pool with fabric longer than you? Hard! Let alone swimming in the ocean. That ish gonna catch on ever rock, coral, trap fish, ect! It's not functional and it's just pastels color swaps/reskins. Easily bottom 3.

Sirenix:

Sirenix is really good, they could have added more ocean theme bits but fairly good. They don't have to worry about getting caught on something, so that's a plus. Also going to lump season 8 version here because it is Sirenix. Like actually like it a bit more then the debut season. It gives them cute little fish scales on them. And they are fairly diverse so you can tell who's who. Both for the first and season 8 redesign.

Bloomix:

I f****** love Bloomix! Now this might be playing into my personal taste. But they actually have different designs for their different personalities! And the fact they have more of a warrior look to them. And the dragon scale pattern, that reminds me of scalemail, just AH! This is my favorite transformation! My one or two criticisms would be the name I would have gon with Dragonix and add I bit more dragon elements, because it pieces of the dragon flame. And the fact its seem like a throw away transformation makes me sad.

Mythix:

Ugh! Where do I start! I'm sorry to those who like this transformation!... But I... They look like a bunch of girls going to prom, and there dates are late and they keep putting on makeup until they are in borderline drag makeup and are walking glitter bombs! Aren't they supposed to be like Fairy Godmothers?! And the 3D animation does not help! I will admit the wings to this transformation is some of the best yet. And each design is distinct. But I feel like they could have done so much better. I'll probably draw that up that and make a follow up post. But ugh. This one is a train wreck. Easily the worst one and my least favorite!

Butterfix:

It's ok. Wish there was more to show the characters' personalities. Besides different colors. Maybe like different wing patterns? And I don't know who thought it was a good idea to change the bottom lash color? On the some of the characters it look like they have a black eye. Season 8 got rid of it, and seemed to only change that. The heels look like they could kill someone and or break at any minute. But the over all design pretty sold. I might see if I can do a bit more with the concept, just to add to the growing list of follow up posts. The dance at the end is cheesy.

Tynix:

Its... ok? I feel like more could have been done if given the time on designing. The one thing that stands out on the design, literally are the jagged crystals. Honey! Your going to stab one of your friends' or your own eyes out if your not careful! I might try redesigning these one as well in a follow up post. But all and all it a bland but ok design. Also this is where the feeling of watching a perfume ad comes about.

Dreamix:

They feel more like fashion models(I know the art style was based of fashion sketches.) in a perfume commercial. And could have more thought into making them look like actual fairies. It's the same problem Believix had for me. The wings are good. And I will fully admit its fairly functional. Another one to add to redesign follow up post pile.

Onyrix:

Same verse as the first. It is literally Dreamix just different colors and just with more sparkle sheer fabric, and bedazzled. Then the whole thing being sparkly. Oh and different wings. But why is Stella in blue?! I mean I get she the fairy of the sun and Moon but blue and purple could have been her accent colors. It's just lazy. Totally could have done better. Another redesign follow up post. What is that like 5 now?

Winx Club season 8/2

In which we meet our returning cast.

2 A Kingdom of Lumens

The eaters are called “staryums”? Aieeeeee.

Alfea!  Morning!  Twinkle awakens with great enthusiasm and flies around Kiko.  She is one cheerful little critter.

In Bloom and Flora's room Bloom's texting Sky, in all emogis probably so the animators won't have to translate the animation into Italian and English.  She's got an adorable little “time for action” emoji of a chibi Bloom that transforms into Butterflix and flies off.  

Their room looks like a throwback-- didn't they each have separate room the last few seasons?  Or am I misremembering?  But the girls are clearly sharing like they did in season one.  Flora has her flower bed and chairs that you can get in the Winx Fairy School game, and the same amount of plants she had in season one.  Flora's packing.

Stella's running around in her pajamas. She throws open her closet door and... it is like the Tardis in there.  Shelves as far as the eye can see!  No judgment on Stella; I have basically the same setup but with books.

Over in Tec and Musa's room, Tecna has her clothes folded into exact cubes for packing but they're jolted out of her suitcase by the vibrations from Musa's headphones.  Musa's rockin' on so loud she can't hear Tecna yell at her.  Musa is just tossing things randomly into her suitcase.

Aisha pulls an entire drawer from her dresser, dumps it into her suitcase, and is good to go.  Heh.

The others are outside waiting with their bags when Stella shows up pushing a suitcase as tall as she is.

Bloom gets a cute emoji message from Sky: he's finished kicking monster butt and returned to Red Fountain.

Stella grabs Bloom's phone and suggests they stop by to see the boys on their way out.  Sky also has a surprise!

The girls go to Red Fountain and there are hugs.  Then Sky presents the surprise: Riven!  Nobody is thrilled.  Musa yells at him.  The boys say Riven saved them from monsters in the Omega Dimension so they decided to welcome him back.

Ok I gotta declare my bias: I love a good redemption/second chance story but I think it'd be way more fun if Riven came back and Musa fell for the space pirate instead. Double if the space pirate had been a girl.  

Good bit here with Bloom saying they’d better go since they have to save the universe, as usual.  Sky offers to come help but Aisha squashes that saying their “surprise” was quite enough.  Go snarky Aisha!

Back at Alfea the girls are ready to go—once Stella grabs one more teeny piece of luggage.

Twinkle flies around them showering glitter, the girls giggle, and... space clothes!  Twinkle takes off straight up and the Winx are pulled after her—without their suitcases.  Stella despairs, then gets over it and the girls fly though space leaving colored trails.

They reach Lumenia quickly.  It's a glowing yellow orb with star-shaped stars orbiting around it.  We see the lumen city then the girls land and scare the lumens.  The queen arrives in her floating boat.  She's a weird design, her eyes are beautiful but her face is an oval with no chin.

Infodump!  There are rivers of colored light that reach the queen’s throne, that are very important but one of the rivers of light is blocked somewhere in the jungle.  

Butterflix time!  The girls fly through the forest of Lumenia and find a dark orb not unlike the wild magic from season 7.    The girls fly down into a cave where mysterious robots are absorbing the yellow light.  It activates two golems, that attack!  Butterflix fight!  Butterflix power isn't doing the job, the golems just shrug it off.  One grabs Musa!  Twinkle attacks it to no result.

Then the boys come flying in, all posing in their new flight suits.  How did they get to Lumenia?  They open a can of whoopass on the golems.  

(Hey!  Helia has a phantoblade bow just like I gave one of my characters.  Cool!)

A golem grabs Musa and Riven rescues her.

A golem collapses into pebbles and Valtor's mark glows over its body as ominous music plays.  The girls recognize it but there’s some, “It can’t be.” and ‘Does that mean… he’s back?”

The robot that was powering the golems attacks then and the girls destroy it.  The top of the robot opens and there's Valtor's turban-headed lackey.  Who is really small.

Stella: “...and who are you supposed to be?”

“I am the great Obscurum, and you haven’t heard the last of me!”

And he vanishes through a magic portal.

With the enemies defeated Aisha uses morphix to clear the stream, letting the yellow light flow naturally. The gang walks back to the specialists' ship.  Musa's mad that Riven was sneaking around following them without them knowing.  Riven says he was trying to show that he’ll “always be there for you when you need me.”  Musa’s having none of it but Bloom gives Riven a thank you hug!  Then the boys pile into their spaceship and head for home.

Aisha calls Musa on her cold attitude, asking why she’s being harsh when Riven is being so nice.  Aisha is the absolute last Winx I’d expect to do that.  Musa just says Riven has a lot left to prove to her.  ...you know, they didn’t break up because Riven was evil or anything.  He was kind of a jerk a lot but mostly it was just that he and Musa weren’t a good fit for each other.  I can see Musa would be weirded out and maybe needs to set some boundaries but I’m not sure everyone’s reactions are quite right.  

The light in the queen's throne room has been restored.  The girls talk to the queen about their suspicion that Valtor may have returned.  They describe him as “a very powerful dark sorcerer we defeated a while ago.”

...wasn’t Valtor dead?  

He has returned, in a hologram that Obscurum is talking to in the streets of the lumen city!  Blocking the river was just a diversion for an attack on the star core!

The queen senses the appearance of evil and decides to give her new friends a new power!  That’ll give them the power to restore power to stars, pretty cool.  Cosmix time!

The first transformation sequence in a long time that actually looks like a transformation sequence!

I do like the return of the transformation sequence that’s actually a sequence rather than a showing-off of the new clothes like they had in Dreamix and Onyrix, but on the other hand having the Winx receive all their transformations as gifts from powerful beings is getting repetitive!  Dreamix and Onyrix were gifts from the Spirit of Neverland, Butterflix just sort of... they defended Nature and then there were spiky stones.  Tynix they got from their animals so that made a bit more sense, but we haven’t got quests anymore, and we haven’t got foreshadowing of the forms.  I’d love to have a few minutes in class with Faragonda telling the student fairies about different forms they might attain later, or see a book about all the different forms. 

The girls barely have time to check out their new look, as portals open all over Lumenia and spit out a whole horde of star-eaters!

Which Obscurum calls “staryummies” so I suppose I’ll have to call them that from now on.  Sigh.

By the time he and his other friends had already formed "WOF", he was already much more applied and studious (becoming one of the best prodigies of the Academy). Of course he still had to complete another year before he could graduate and get his wings (in the same way that his cousins ​​had already achieved it).    HISTORY OF DREN IN "WOF" (without Spoilers): In the series, Dren arrives as a "stowaway" to the new mission of WOF. As he is still very young, Morgana would never let him go to the Human World that easy, so in an oversight of the Queen, she crossed the portal and followed Lance, Lucy and Mayleen to Earth. Usually in his outfits, he always wears a green sweatshirt with blue-gray shorts, black converts (dark blue coats). In his Fairy Outfits (Dreamix), he wears a suit (similar to Lance's but in green) with wristbands that reach the elbow in each hand, a belt of feathers, meshes with design like claws, boots (not very tall) and its bright green wings.  

 CURIOSITIES:

  - His favorite colors are green and blue.   - He likes vegan sandwiches a lot (the more lettuce the better xD).   - He is the youngest, but also the most athletic of the WOF, he likes to do a lot of sports and keep his animal senses well awake for new missions.   - It is the 3rd most powerful fairy of the Magical Universe in WOF.   - In the "WOF Band", he is the bassist of the group.   - Generally their ears only transform as Elf, when they are in their Fairy form, but they become normal once he become him human form. - His favorite spells are: "Wolf's claw", "Scorpion tail", "Haunted Cap" and "Magic trail". - Dren joined WOF, practically begging his cousins ​​to let him help them in their adventures, thanks to Lucy convinced Lance (who overprotects too much his little cousin xD) this achievement join them. - Borealis (the Kingdom of Drain) is actually a small planet next to Lance and Lucy (many have considered it one of its Moons, in fact). - Dren has a Nemesis called "T-3000". Winx Club August Challenge

1.Which Winx would you get along with best/worst?

A: Best would be Bloom because our personalities are quite similar. Worst would be Musa, because I wouldn’t stand her temper and we would probably get into a fight at some point.

2. Which Trix would you get along with best/worst?

A: Stormy for best, she’s brave and honest; Darcy for worst, she’s cunning and subversive. 3. If you had to team up with a villain (excluding trix) who?

A: I would not team up with a villain. Nope. Not happening. If I have to answer, though, Selina after she’s good again. 4. How was your fave way that someone earned Charmix?

A: Flora. Because I wouldn’t have the guts to do it.

5. Fave Pixie?

A: Jolly (Hallowinx is my favourite episode from s2!)

6. You’re fave sacrifice for Enchantix?

A: Tecna obviously. The realest one. I cried when I first watched it at age 8, I cried when I re-watched the whole series at 16, I cry every time I go back to it. She’s the bravest of them all, no doubt, a true Gryffindor.

7. Fave use of fairy dust?

A: To make cloud tower visible again. My favourite episode from s3.

8. Would you have chosen the waterstars?

A: If I was Stella, I would. If I was Musa, I would. If I was Tecna, I wouldn’t.

9. What would you have chosen over the waterstars?

A: Like I said before, everything Tecna gave up. Emotions, memories, feelings, thoughts, all the things I hold close to my heart. Once again, it’s proved that Tecna is the bravest of the Winx. I consider myself a Gryffindor and wouldn’t be able to do that.

10. Fave alternate wing for believix (zommix, speedix,tracix)?

A: I would like to have those zoomix wings because they are beautiful, but I’d choose tracix because I love what they do.

11. Sophix or Lovix?

A: Is both an option? No? Okay Lovix, I’m really emotional.

12. Would you have accepted the sirenix quest?

A: Sure let’s do this.

13. Sirenix wish?

A: That everyone could have a happy life.

14. Fave way bloomix was earned?

A: Bloom’s.

15. Your fave fairytale from the legendarium?

A: Children of the Night, favourite episodes from season 6!

16. Specialist or Paladin?

A: Specialist, of course. They’ve been there since s1, and we all know there’s nothing better than s1. 17. Fave new weapon from s6?

A: I didn’t care much about the weapons, I was just angry at all the wasted potential the Legendarium had.

18. Most interesting magical school?

A: Hogwarts! ...  Okay, if it has to be from winx club, Red Fountain or s1′s Cloud Tower, never liked Alfea that much tbh.

19. Fave/least fave fairy animal?

A: I didn’t watch s7. It felt too much like childhood ruined for me.

20. Mirta, Roxy or Daphne?

A: Definitely not Roxy. Definitely not s5 or s6′s Daphne. I really love both Mirta and s1′s Daphne, I guess I’ll chose Daphne because she reminds me of my own older sister a lot. I cried when I learned her story, in s1 ep18 (favourite episode EVER!!!) and also in the first movie.

21. Faragonda, Griffin or Saladin?

A: Good question. I still don’t get why Faragonda denied Bloom all the knowledge about Daphne and Domino and the Dragon Fire in s1 until she learned it the hard way. Kind of like Dumbledore denied Harry the knowledge about his parents, him being a Horcrux or his past with Voldemort. I mean, both those informations were SUPER IMPORTANT for those kids and their supposed MENTORS hid them from them. That’s why I don’t like either Faragonda or Dumbledore. Griffin was kind of a bitch in the beginning of s1 (*cough* ep3 *cough* ep 8). So yes, Saladin is the best.

22. Fave (set) of parents?

A: Mike and Vanessa obviously. If I were Bloom I would NEVER had stopped calling them mom and dad even if I found that I was adopted and met my birth parents. They would always be the people who raised me like their own, which takes even greater love and dedication.

23. If you could chose a realm to live in which one?

A: Earth ahahah!

24. Fairy animals or Plushies from s4?

A: I didn’t watch s7. So s4.

25. Fave/least fave Major Fairy?

A: Fave is Bloom. S1′s Bloom. She was the first character I could ever relate to. I was also very good at drawing, a little awkward, really clumsy, overwhelmed by magic, seeing the good in every person, innocent and naive, dedicated to my friends, shy and introverted but funny when comfortable, with a tendency to go back home (to my bedroom and my diary) when things turned out bad. I could really feel those two wonderful songs in ep18, my favourite of all time. 

Tecna is a close second fave. I always admired her a lot. She was the most courageous (as I had said before many times), the most intelligent, and really I think she went through the hardest and I have a lot of heart for this character. She also reminds me of Hermione a lot (while Bloom is Harry and Flora is Ron) Least fave is probably Musa. Her attitude was sometimes so grumpy and she had some mean comments sometimes. I wouldn’t be surprised if she turned to the dark side.

26. Fave/least fave Song (winx in concert)?

A: I don’t know which are the concert songs. But I love both songs from s1 ep 18 and opening and ending songs from s1. (yeah, proud s1 fan)

27. Fave/least fave transformation song?

A: I like movie Enchantix song the best, or maybe Sophix, worse is Harmonix. 28. Fave /least fave Talent (WoW)?

A: I still haven’t watched WoW but I’m looking forward to!

29. Fave/least fave new character in WoW?

A: Same answer from 28

31. What got you into Winx?

A: I don’t really know, I was one of the original fans who was a kid when s1 came out, so I just watched it on the TV. Though one of my first childhood memories is being 4 years old at my grandma’s house watching Bloom’s test in s1 ep14, in one of those really old, really gray, and really big 90s TVs in a small dim lit room when my mom said we had to go home because it was late (it was, like 6:30 PM) and me begging for her to let me finish that one show (I guess I didn’t know the name back then) bcause it was my favourite of all times. And you know what? S1 still is. (I know this was supposed to be an answer a day, but I won’t have internet for most of August since I’m going on holiday, and I missed the first day as well, and just really wanted to answer them all, so here it is! Thx for reading, Myth xx)

World of Winx 2 Review

After spending my time watching World of Winx 2 yesterday, I have to say that I have quite enjoyed my time watching this season. The series begins by showcasing the Winx in silver outfits (love them by the way!) playing their gig at Gardenia with Annabelle and Louise before heading on a worldwide tour as a musical group.

I will divide my review in several parts. Feel free to read the entire review for the full experience or whichever section that catches your eye:

~The Nemeses~

As the season progresses, each Winx will have to fight and defeat her own nemesis created by Tinkerbell in order for the Winx girl to overcome her fears. Bloom was facing Vertigo, who was infesting Bloom’s head so only she can see her. Vertigo played Bloom’s weakness - her friends - in an attempt to hurt the Winx.

Stella’s nemesis, Obscura, went on to manipulate Stella with illusions and mimicry of her friends and children from Stella’s past. It was revealed how Stella’s gravely hurt when everyone mocks her. This really hits Stella deep, as she’s always optimistic and Obscura managed to tap into Stella’s childhood when she used to be bullied by others.

On the other hand, Aisha’s nemesis, Sinka, takes advantage of Aisha’s impulsive and hasty nature in order to charge up her energy using Aisha’s attacks to to overpower her.

Flora’s nemesis Stoney, Tecna’s nemesis Virus, and Musa’s nemesis Banshee, take on a much different approach; especially Banshee. Those nemeses rather exploit the Winx’s physical weaknesses as a battle tactic. Banshee shot energy blasts that seem to be wind-based while Stoney destroyed all the nature around Flora, leaving her helpless for a while. Virus was able to take control over the Winx’s brains (except Tecna’s) and played with the girls as puppets in the sake of destroying Tecna.

Overall, the nemesis were solid enemies. Their only problem is, despite all of the power they’ve got, the key to defeat each one of them was simple. Bloom and Stella had to believe in themselves and their friends, Musa had to play some soothing music, Aisha had to patiently wait for her nemesis’s power to wear off, Flora simply tapped into her powers to counterattack Stoney, while Tecna had a little help from Matt (who would’ve thought!) as he telepathically spoke to her, telling her to let go of logic and to follow her instinct; in which she did, and was able to defeat Virus using Peter Pan’s sword as a weapon.

I guess the logic behind the slogan of “the bigger they are, the harder the fall” applies in this case. I wasn’t really impressed by how the nemesis were defeated, but at least the girls put up a decent fight. The appearance of each nemesis was striking and scary to say the least. They were fit for such ruthless enemies. The designs were well thought-out and they really highlight what Rainbow’s animation department is capable of. But enough talking about the nemeses, I’ll move onto the next part of my review.

~The Plot~

The season revolves around the Winx trying to find Peter Pan’s son, Matt to make Tinkerbell good again all while trying to perform their concerts around the world and helping troubled allies in Neverland. It was fun to watch the Winx travel to London to meet Wendy Darling (Surprising to see her an old lady, isn’t it?) in hopes of finding a clue about Peter Pan. It felt refreshing to see the Winx take guidance from someone older than them once again. One thing I disliked in the early parts of the season, however, is that in one of the episodes, Smee tries to kidnap Matt based on Jim’s order, although it was later revealed that Jim betrayed Smee and pretended he had nothing to do with the kidnapping. In fact, almost an entire episode was spent chasing after Smee! It felt like this was never utilized very well, leaving me daunted.

Once Matt was safe, Aisha had no issues being verbal about her disliking of him. She was tasked into training Matt to be a real warrior in order to help him face the queen, but soon finds out that she lacks the patience and faith in Matt to complete the training. The Winx ask Jim for his help in training Matt, but he also wasn’t able to assist Matt in his disconcerting task . As a final spark of hope, Jim suggested taking Matt to Tiger Lily; the best fighter in Neverland. Jim mentions that Tiger Lily will be able to help him train to be a true warrior, but once the Winx were able to locate her, even she admits she cannot help him.

However, one surprising twist of events takes its toll to reveal that Tiger Lily is in contact with the spirit of the World of Dreams, disclosing a prophecy that Matt will save the realm with his father’s (Peter Pan) sword. I did not expect Matt, the blabber mouth and braggart, to be prophesied into saving Neverland. I found this to be a clever twist, as we never really saw the Winx relying on someone else in order to defeat a villain in the finale.

To be blunt, I am unfortunately not a big fan of the plot. I expected to see more of Neverland and its wondrous areas, but we ended up discovering it’s all deserted and barren of all life and colors to the point it was not an interesting element anymore. Matt had fallen in love with Tinkerbell by simply staring into a constellation that aligns as her face, and Tinkerbell shared the feelings after meeting him for three minutes. The Winx never transform to aid themselves even when nobody’s around. I was also annoyed by how the Winx wanted to give Tinkerbell a second chance even though she destroyed Neverland, kidnapped talents, banished Jim, and other heinous acts after she simply apologized.

Matt ends up saving Tinkerbell from the hands of Jim, who banished the Winx and ordered the mermaids living in Neverland’s lagoon to keep an eye on Tinkerbell. Once she was freed, she turned good again and helped the Winx in the final battle against Jim. Jim basically turned Neverland’s own version of the Tree of Life into a giant flying battleship, opening a portal to the World of Nightmares in an attempt to cross it to rule both worlds. He was eventually trapped inside the WoN as Smee had previously stowed away and pushed Jim off of the ship.

As I said earlier, I am not very pleased with the plot. Although it was entertaining and original as it took surprising turns, I feel it could have been a lot better. There were no brilliant magical tricks, not enough transformations, and certainly no glamour. The season felt it lacks the magical element and sense compared to the other seasons of Winx, as the girls have never showcased their abilities in a way that left me feeling astonished or at least visually impressed.

~The Transformation~

There isn’t much to say about Onyrix, as its requirements were ... none. The spirit of the World of Dreams simply gave the Winx the power of Onyrix to help defend the realm from danger, and its transformation sequence made me chuckle at times. It still doesn’t beat Butterflix’s cheesiness, but it sure felt like it was another fashion show cough Tynix cough. The Winx were dressed in what resembles jumpsuits that look elegant at the top, to hilariously end with what resembles 70′s disco pants’ bottom.

Aisha’s wings were resampled from her Harmonix, while Bloom’s hair and wings were taken from her Butterflix. Not to mention that Tecna’s Onyrix feels no different from her Dreamix. If no one has noticed yet, every girl is wearing her secondary color as her main one, except for Musa and Stella. There has been some frequent pink, dark lime, purple, and green in Bloom’s, Tecna’s, Aisha’s, and Flora’s clothing colors respectively. Those colors weren’t exactly always present in the Winx’s transformations, but they did play a theme of their own as secondary colors. In Aisha’s case, it was mostly a mix of blue and green, but we’ve seen Aisha with some purple as a complementary color at times.

~The Secondary Characters~

I have to say, the show really conveyed the side characters very well this time. They didn’t feel useless or out of place like we’re used to, and they all played important roles to help the plot further evolve. The pirates were ill-mannered yet loyal, Tiger Lily was harsh yet supportive, and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that the Crocodile and Alligator Men were actually on the same side as the Winx!

I quite enjoyed how the secondary characters had a spunk to them; they all had an aura of fight and zeal I couldn’t help but to love all of them! On a final note, the fact that each character remained an indispensable part throughout the show throughout felt like a huge improvement from Rainbow’s part. It was just like Flora said in the sixth episode: “A single snowflake looks so fragile, but we all know what they can do when you put them all together!”

...Though one thing was left unexplained. How did the pirates lose their magic in the first place?

~The Plot-Twisted Ending~

Okay, so Venomya is actually a witch whose name is Baba Yaga, inspired from the Slavic folklore of so many stories. I have no idea why did the witch wait until the end to reveal her identity, and in the midst of a concert as well. Baba Yaga flat out chased the Winx from a country to country to write bad reviews about them, until eventually revealing she wants to summon a coven of witches.

Though I guess it was an anticipation mechanic by Rainbow to further raise the anticipation (although it seems to make little sense to me.)

I’m not sure what to make of the end. Will there be a third season of WoW? Will the live action movie be based on Baba Yaga? Will the eighth season be based off of her even? So many questions aroused in my mind, and the cliffhanger ending of the season left me hooked and definitely hyped for what’s more to come!

Overall, I am impressed by this season.

However, I can’t help but feel disappointed that the Winx did not use any spectacular magical spells. The show obviously was a great entertainment for me with its diverse characters and engaging story, and the plot certainly feels darker than ever (even more than season 7.) You have the mermaids manipulating Tinkerbell to commit suicide, a deep yet naive concept of love at first sight, creepy-looking villains, and ruthlessness showcased by Tinkerbell’s actions in the past and Jim’s sadistic future vision.

In spite of all of this, the experience felt less magical than ever before. Don’t get me wrong, there was plenty of action, just not enough magic and sparkles to give me my daily dose of Winx fantasy. WoW2 was great if you want to watch Martin Mystery or Totally Spies with a twist of magic, just not enough to give me the usual fairy tale vibes.

Thoughts

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these so here we go! My thoughts on the Season 2 World of Winx screenshots!!

So let me start with Onyrix. I actually really like it, it’s a twist from the usual winx transformations. The colors are a little duller, maybe to represent a darker version of dreamix but it’s not as bright and glamorous as what we are used to seeing. They look very angelic with a twist of medieval and dark tones. I love the different wing and hair styles. Seeing Stella in a toned down blue is very different but she slays. Tecna’s hair is cute! Aisha slays everything. Musa looks like a queen. Flora is cute, but maybe my least favorite of the Onyrix, maybe my opinion on her will change. Bloom is gorgeous, I love the hair style. Very elegant side braid. And honestly I love how the shoes aren’t extra. They’re plain, not too attention drawing and I like that. I’m really looking forward to seeing Onyrix in action.

Now let me talk about the new villains. I’m assuming they’ll show up in the episode Old friends and New enemies (duhhh). I have to admit, these villains look hella creepy especially the puppet one. But I love it!! I was not expecting creepy looking villains. I thought it would just be Tinker Bell and Jim. I can’t wait to see them in action, their design is amazing! Rainbow sure showed me that they can still design super cool villains.

Lastly, I wanna quickly point out that the winx may have some new spy suits as seen in Una’s screenshot. If you look at Stella’s back and Bloom’s side it looks different then their spy outfits in season 1.

Overall, I’m REALLY looking forward to season 2. It looks like it’s going to be amazing and that it’s gonna surpass the intriguingness of season 1. It looks more intense and dark and I love the screenshots we’ve been getting. I can’t wait!

Winx Alternative Cannon: Transformations

I've been considering an Alternate take on Winx Club cannon lately, rewatching the show and working on some alterations as a frame work for a alternative telling of the show, not quite a full blown AU, but just some slight differences, like the fandom approved ability for Fairies to access any transformation they've acquired rather than being stuck using the latest one they 'earned.'

And Speaking of the Fairy Transformations: lets talk about them in the Alternative Canon.

Please note the Alternative Canon is more than just: they can swap between transformations they already have whenever they want, some of the requirements, properties and meanings are different and also require universal alterations.

I've also been thinking of making a side blog just for my Winx stuff but I don't know if it would be worth it. All I've really got is the head cannons for the AltCan Winx Club, and the Astr'ix AU that started off as a AltCan Original Transformation....

...How do I put things 'under the cut?' cause this a long ass post and I'm so sorry for putting it all over your Dash.

Lets start with the first fairy form:

The 4Kids dub referred to it (and fairy magic as a whole) as Winx, Rai called it Charmix. In AC universe there is no name for it, as the most basic for of fairy, all fairies will achieve this form, so it is typically just referred to as 'fairy transformation.'

In some circles it is (jokingly) nicknamed Basix, these circles are typically multi-formed fairies. E.g. the Winx Club by season seven.

The basic most form of a fairy, the only requirement is to be a 'fairy' and connect with your power. The resulting costume is a combination of a fairy's personal style, and the manifestation of their magic.

Enchantix:

The second (and typically last) form fairies gain, Enchantix is achieved not through the act of sacrifice, but that single instant of clarity when a fairy realises how far she is prepared to go to protect or save others. Though this does typically happen in a moment of actual risk, thus beginning the rumour a fairy had to sacrifice herself for a person from their planet.

Part of the manifestation of this Will to Protect is Fairy Dust, the manifestation of a fairy's magic and their desire to help people, it enables a fairy to dispel dark magic, and in some cases, heal people.

The Enchantix also grants fairies the ability to miniaturise.

Charmix:

At Alfea, many fairies gain their Charmix before their Enchantix, leading to some confusion on the proper progression of transformations. The Charmix is earned by facing yourself and recognising your own weaknesses, accepting yourself and your preparation to change.

The Charmix boosts a Fairies powers when in use and (passively) also allows a fairy to 'collect' transformations and use them at will, rather than being stuck using only the latest transformation a fairy has acquired. (This ability has led to the transformation being called 'A Fairy's favourite type of Charm Bracelet.')

These three are some of the only fairy forms that require personal reflection, understanding and/or growth, this is also why they have the most deviation in appearance between fairies.

Most other forms are created for specific purposes and tend to be both gifted and some what uniform in appearance.

Speedix, Tracix, Zoomix:

Another Alfea speciality, the 'Three Wings of Clariel' are gifts given to students of Alfea who have earned both their Enchantix, their Charmix and proven themselves to be potential Guardian Fairies. The Three Wings can, once obtained, be used from any fairy form. They grant the fairy the power to fly faster than any other known wings, to see recent events or past moments of intense emotional impact, and to teleport. The exact range of teleportation differs between fairies but the Zoomix allows instantaneous transport between two worlds, only the more powerful fairies can transport from one end of the known universe to the other in one shot.

The Wings were crafted by Clariel, one of the Founding Fairies of Alfea.

(Alternative Cannon Backstory required:

The wizards of the Black Circle are Fairy Hunters, who rip the wings off of Fairies to steal their powers for themselves. They managed to figure out how to nullify the effects Fairy magic had against them, and so, managed to terrorise the magical universe, until the Earth Fairies figured out how to combat their nullification spell, by altering the fabric of their own magic just enough to get around it. Realising the danger, and unable to create a patch for the spell, the Black Circle waged war on the Earth Fairies, culminating in both sides being imprisoned in time dilation fields.)

Believix:

Believix is the manifestation of the Earth Fairy ability that allows them to over come the Black Circles 'immunity' to Fairy Magic, it is gained by receiving the Blessing of an Earth Fairy. The Winx Club received their Blessing by accident when Earth's Fairy Princess Roxy placed her trust in the Winx Club.

Roxy herself cannot obtain a Believix form because the Believix power already exists with in her, regardless of the transformation she wears. This is why Roxy's basic fairy form and the Winx Club's Believix forms bear a resemblance, in addition to the Believix form taking some of its style cues from Roxy's 'fairy style.'

Lovix/Sophix:

The Lovix and the Sophix are gifts from the Earth Fairies Aurora and Diana, and so contain a trace of Believix, which is why the three outfits appear to be variations of each other.

The Lovix protects the user from freezing temperatures, natural or otherwise, and grants a minor ability of ice while in use. (It should be noted all Fairy Forms protect the Fairy from Cold and Low/Poor Atmosphere to a certain extent, but the Cold Protection of the Lovix is Infinitely Superior.)

Like wise the Sophix protects against humidity and heat, as well a bugs, it gives the wearer an improved connection with the Voice of Nature.

These two forms are two of several Gifts of Magic that exist, several forms of the Lovix and Sophix exist and merely require the Blessing of a Major Fairy of the correct power type.

**Harmonix:

The Harmonix is an underwater form which can be obtained by bonding with a selkie from the fairy's home world. Capable of transitioning between air, land and water, the Harmonix allows fairies to operate at otherwise impossible ocean depths.

When a fairy needs to travel at great speeds, the long train of the skirt and leg ribbons, instantaneously transform into a mermaid tail that can propel the fairy and otherwise unobtainable underwater speeds. (it should also be noted: as an underwater based Form, the Harmonix does not have soled shoes, just pretty leg ribbons.)

**Sirenix:

A transformation that is Exclusive to the Infinite ocean, it enables fairies to swim as fast as their tailed Harmonix forms, and grants them a deeper connection to the oceans of the universe. It requires the Harmonix form and access to the Infinite Ocean to achieve.

Bloomix:

A modern rendition of a more Primal Fairy Form, the Bloomix is granted by receiving a small spark of the Dragon Flame. This form has a higher attack power than any other, but a fairy's healing abilities can be lessened as a result, it is the Warrior form of fairies. The users of this form were, in Daphne's prime, referred to as Nymphs.

Mythix:

The second 'world exclusive' form, It requires a Wand from the Legendarium world to manifest, and can only be used within the world of the Legendarium. It protects users from the Fugue of the Legendrium, a curse which steals Fairy Magic if a Fairy remains in the Legendarium too long.

*Butteflix:

The Blessing of Wild Magic, this form is acquired when a fairy manages to obtain a compatible form of Wild Magic. (Compatible in this case meaning freely given, not stolen for selfish purposes, fairies who have received the Blessing of a Major fairy of Nature are more likely to prove compatible with Wild Magic.)

*Tynix:

'Pocket Dimension' gear, allows a fairy to access world inside pocket dimensions with out suffering the effects of 'pocket distortion,' a magical cousin of the bends which occurs when moving to, from and around in Pocket Dimensions during the initial 24 to 36 hours.

(Granted by a friend of Daphne's who lives in a tiny clam in lack Roccaluce and specialises in dimensional magic. Technically one of the Gifts of Magic.)

Dreamix: ***

Allows Fairies to enter the Dream World, and fight in it. Originally gifted by Morpheus*** (early ssn2) as a one use transformation, recharged and earned ssn8.

Additional notes:

* I must at this point admit I have not finished season seven, I had trouble tracking down the episodes and I just.... oh my goodness.... this season... I have however watch WoW, and enjoyed it as a back to basics, but some of the season was a bit... yeah... (they fairy animal thing was really forced and weird okay, and none/very few of the transformation terms are the same as cannon, why did they even need to visit the mini worlds? I don't know! I'm so confused... I spent most of Nex's screen time yelling 'Who. Are. You?' at the screen even though I know who he is...)

***(Morpheus was a character in the comics in an alternate introduction to Aisha story, he opened the door for the Winx to enter the world of Dreams to free Aisha from Darkar's nightmare curse thingy.) There are several occasions where a Fairy may use a Transformation she has not yet Earned, or should not be able to wield, by gaining Authorisation from Higher Powers like Morpheus, or The First Fairy Arcadia and her group.

Powers like Fairy Dust and Miniaturisation can be used in forms other than Enchantix but they're less potent/harder to use/require more magic

It should also be noted that 'new' does NOT mean 'more powerful,' but it does mean 'more power.'

Each new transformation increases a Fairies over all power, passively, but the transformations are not inherently more powerful than one or the other.

Alternative Canon Original Transformations/Variations.

Suiseix/Mizunix:

The temporary fairy transformation powered by the water stars (Bloom must let go of the Dragon Fire completely for the duration of its use or risk the destruction of the universe.)

The 'Water Stars' the Winx collected from the alternate dimension weren't the Actual Water Stars, they're amulets which allow the girls to channel the power of The Water Stars, from their realm into the realm of the Winx, like Bloom does for the Dragon Fire. (Which is why they just so happen to be thematically linked to the six fairies)

Suiseix > Harmonix

This transformation was authorised only once, but once the power of the Water Stars was withdrawn from the amulets, the Winx were allowed to keep a less powerful echo of the form: The Harmonix.

(Entering the Infinite Ocean requires a bonded Selkie to take you (the first time). Serena, Daphne's bonded Selkie was frozen by her gate on Domino. In her ghost form, Daphne was unable to do anything to help her, unsure if she was even still alive within the ice. Using their sisterly bond to create an empathic link, and aided by the Harmonix power of the Winx, they magically pull Serena into Lake Roccaluce where they manage to thaw her using the Dragon Flame and Fairy Dust, and she bonds with Bloom. (Selkie can form multiple bonds, especially if their Bonded is the magical equivalent of a ghost.))

Winx Club (pt.27):  The Witch of Love pt.3

Flora, Stella, Bloom, Aisha, and Tecna finally found Riven and fought through the crowd of girls to go to him.

“Bloom! Stella! Thank goodness you’re here!” Riven said relieved, trying to pry himself from the grasp of another girl.

“Please now cast a spell and help me.” He begged.

The girls snickered at him.

“Hahaha you’re so funny Riven.” Stella flirted

“Huh?” he reacted in confusion.

The girls started slow walking to Riven, as if they were going to attack him.

“Guys?” he wondered. Then, finally he realized the girls were under the spell as well. “Uh-oh!”

Once realizing, Riven ran for his life.

He found a secluded corner behind some palm trees and bushes in a faraway area at the beach.

He panted once again, bending over to catch his breath.

The sinister sisters were watching…

“I think it’s my turn now.” Faith said.

She changed her clothes (beach clothes) to disguise herself as another girl, so Riven would trust her.

She made a portal with her magic, to transport herself to Riven.

“You think she’ll get him?” Victoria asked

“Not a chance, she thinks about love.” Kasandra replied.

“How pathetic.” Victoria laughed.

Faith arrived not to far away from Riven, and approached him.

“Hello” she said.

“Whoa whoa whoa.” Riven backed up. “You’re not going to chase me are you?”

“Don’t be silly, You can trust me.” Faith reassured.

“How do I know I can trust you?” Riven folded his arms over his chest.

“Look, I’ll help you take those girls away.” She said, walking closer to Riven.

“Thanks.”

“Just one more thing.” She said, backing up a little bit giving herself some space to cast a spell.

“A sweater, beanie, and a glove, with me you will fall in love.” She casted a spell, showing her magic to be blue lightning.

Riven’s eyes changed color into a darker purple as he fell under the spell.

“Perfect” she grinned.

The herd of girls were looking for Riven.

“Where’s Riven?” Flora asked.

“I don’t know, but what I know is I’m going to find him first!” Bloom claimed.

“Not if I can help it!” Aisha exclaimed.

Tecna spotted him with Faith. “He’s over there!” She pointed to where Riven and Faith was.

“Let’s go!” Stella yelled.

The girls ran for Riven.

“Uh-oh they found me.” Riven said.

“Don’t worry I got this.” She stepped forward.

The girls arrived.

“What are you doing with Riven?” Bloom asked, as the girls started slowly walking forward.

“Back up. I’m warning you.” Faith said, putting her arm forward.

“Or what?” Aisha threatened.

“You left me no choice.” Faith casted a spell that froze them.

“Come on Riven, let’s go my spell won’t last very long.” she grabbed his hand and they ran away together.

Only the girls’ eyes were moving.

The specialists, Nabu, Jackie, Jacob, Ethan, and Musa were walking around the beach looking for Riven, or the girls.

“How are we going to break the spell if we can’t find him?” Timmy asked.

“I don’t know, but if we can’t find right now, I think we should look for Kimberly.” Jackie said.

Suddenly, they saw Kimberly flying in the air.

“Guys! I think I found her!” Ethan said, pointing to her in the air.

Everyone turned their eyes to her, flying in the sky.

Kimberly grinned at the group.

“Hello there.” she spoke. “Nice seeing you again Jackie.”

Jackie’s eye brows grew into a cross face.

“What did you do to Riven!” Musa shouted.

“Looks like my plan worked, but it’s not yet complete.” Kimberly answered.

“What do you mean?!” Musa hollered.

“I mean, I haven’t done what I’ve wanted to do all day.” Kimberly said.

“And what’s that?” Sky shouted.

“First things first, I can’t fight you all at once! Kanays come to me, and fight the specialists!” Kimberly commanded.

Kanays rose from the ground, and swam to shore coming from the ocean

The specialists drew their swords and weapons and started fighting off the kanays.

“Nabu, go away, before you get in my way.” Nex told Nabu harshly, while holding back a kanay with the long part of his weapon.

“Trust me I can help.” Nabu said.

Nex kicked away a kanay. And another came to attack him.

“Look, I don’t need you’re help.” Nex bragged while struggling to push away a kanay.

Nabu ran forward and punched it away.

Nabu smiled, and said “Looks like you do.”

Nex just let out a tiny grunt.

“Perfect, going exactly as planned.” she cackled.

“You won’t get away Kimberly!” Jackie swore.

“Oh, Yeah. Just so you know I didn’t come alone today.” Kimberly announced.

Faith, back in her regular true clothes flew in holding hands with Riven, who was under her spell.

“Riven.” Helia said shocked.

The specialists’ and Jackie’s jaws dropped.

“Riven…” Musa cried.

“You let him go right now!” Musa demanded.

“Let me think about it…NO!” Faith cackled. Riven cackled along.

“ARGGHH!” Musa grunted

“Winx! Dreamix!” she transformed.

“Jackie! Marvelix!” Jackie transformed.

“Jackie, I’m going to help Riven!” Musa announced.

“Ok, I’ll take care of Kimberly.” Jackie reassured.

“Ok, be careful.” Musa said.

“Thanks, you too.” Jackie greeted.

Kimberly stared at Jackie.

“Now, where were we?” she said deviously.

Musa flew up to Faith and Riven, who were still holding hands.

“Let…Him…go!” Musa demanded.

“Hahaha, not a chance.” Faith cackled.

“I said…Let Him GO!” She said louder.

“Well then, you’re just going to have get us.” Faith said, and she and Riven flew away to the same spot they met.

“I won’t let you get away with this.” Musa yelled as she flew after them.

Faith and Riven landed, and shortly Musa as well.

“Let him go. I won’t let you hurt him.” Musa threatened.

“Aww, how sweet. You really do care for him. That’s too bad.” she said looking at the nails. “Riven’s in love with me now.” she smiled.

“No, no.” Musa cried, starting to tear up.

“And when I destroy you…Riven’s gonna join the sinister sisters.” she announced.

“Riven.” Musa cried.

“I can give Riven back to you on one condition…” Faith said, walking closer to Musa

“And what’s that?” Musa asked.

“I’ll give you Riven if…you tell us where the last page of the Ezarian is.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about…” Musa lied.

“Oh really, ok now tell us how to obtain Marvelix. Marvelix has great powers”

“I- I can’t. I will never tell you how to get Marvelix!”

Faith walked even closer to Musa conversation length.

“I’m going to ask you again. How do you get Marvelix?”

“I said I wouldn’t tell you.”

“Ok, you leave me no choice. Riven destroy her.” Faith commanded.

“Riven no.” Musa cried.

“I’m sorry Musa, but this is going to hurt.” Riven grinned walking slowly to her.

“Riven, no you’re under a spell. Listen to me! Stop!…Argh! Riven, I really like you and… *sigh* I still have feelings for you. Riven…I love you.” Musa confessed.

But Riven still ignored her.

“Awww… he doesn’t hear you sweetheart. Looks like my spell really did work.” Faith cackled.

“Riven, you leave me with no choice!” Musa yelled

Musa shot a powerful harmonic wave at Faith with surprise.

“Ouch!” Faith cried, bring dragged by the energy.

Musa walked up to Riven.

“Riven. Listen to me. You’re under a spell. Stop this.” Musa cried.

“Very funny Musa.” Riven chuckled. “Nice try.” he drew his sword.

Faith got up, holding her side.

“I don’t think he heard you.” Faith cackled from afar.

Musa started waving her hand up and down to cast a spell like, Jackie taught her. The magenta magic started glowing.

“NO!” Faith yelled with anger. Faith cast a spell to stop Musa.

“TIDAL WAVE!”

“OH!” Musa cried being hit. Now, she was lying on the floor.

“Riven, help me!” she begged.

The love spell, that Faith cast on him was slowly fading, but still there.

Faith walked up to Musa to finish her.

Now ok, Faith was getting her attack ready in her hand raising it up to fire at Musa.

“I’m going to ask you one last time, how do you obtain Marvelix?!!” she demanded.

Musa rose up and stood on her feet. Faith put her fire down, thinking Musa was going to tell her.

“I said never! SOUND WAVE!” She attacked.

Now Faith was on the ground.

Musa tried one more time to try and break Riven from the spell.

She held his hands.

“Riven, please come back to me. Please help me.” she begged.

“I-I” a confused Riven spoke.

“I won’t let you go to the dark side.” she swore. Musa began waving her hand again and cast a spell. Musa took a deep breath. She said slowly. “This spell has turned into a huge blunder, take Riven under the spells he’s under.”

Riven’s eyes went back to normal.

“Musa?”

“Riven!” she exclaimed and jumped in for a hug.

“Wha-what happened?”

“I’ll explain later, right now we need to help the others.”

Musa grabbed his hand and they ran to help the others.

And Bloom, Stella, Tecna, Flora, and Aisha, as well as the other girls were not going crazy for Riven anymore. Kimberly’s spell has been broken! The girls moved slowly, breaking free from Faith’s frozen spell. The memory of them getting frozen is fuzzy.

“What? What happened?” Aisha asked around her friends.

“I don’t know, I don’t remember.” Tecna answered.

“This is so confusing.” Flora said.

“My back kinda hurts.” Stella said while stretching

Bloom saw the specialists and Jackie at the beach between a battle.

“Girls, I’m sure we’ll find out later look!” she pointed, “We need to go help them!”

“Magic Winx! DREAMIX!” They transformed.

“Let’s go!” Bloom commanded.

And they flew to help their friends fight the kanays.

“Now, where were we?” Kimberly said deviously.

“I was just about to do this! Water Blast!” Jackie hit Kimberly with a Water Attack.

“Nice try, but it’s gonna take a lot more than just water to take me down! Dark arrow!” she shot

“Iron shield!” yelled Jackie as she protected herself from the arrow attack.

“Sapphire Storm!” Jackie attacked.

Kimberly stops the attack with another. Both girls struggle to keep their fire up, and out of tiredness, then drop their attacks at the same time.

Kimberly recovers quickly, and sees an opportunity to attack Jackie.

“Huh?” Jackie muttered, being caught by surprise.

“Diamond wall!” she called out to protect herself. “It’s gonna take a lot more to take me down.” she mocked.

“Oh yeah, let’s see how you like this! Dark Vortex!” she fought back.

The dark vortex started to suck Jackie in and she couldn’t stop it.

Jacob saw her struggling and ran to help her.

“Jackie!” he yelled out!

“Jacob help me!” she begged.

“I’m coming!” he responded.

He grabbed both her hands, that were reached out.

Jacob was struggling, as the force was very strong.

“Hurry!” Jackie screamed looking back at the vortex.

“I’m trying it’s too strong!” he shouted. 

Bloom saw the two struggling from a distance and called to help.

“Girls! Hurry Jackie’s in trouble!” Bloom shouted. “Let’s go!”  Flora, Stella, Tecna and Bloom came to the rescue, while Aisha stayed to help the guys.

The girls used their strength together and were able to save Jackie.

The girls landed on the floor, and Jacob landed with Jackie in his arms. 

Jackie got up and thanked the girls with hugs and cheers, then she turned to Jacob.

“Thanks for saving me.” Jackie said looking into his eyes.

“No problem.” he smiled, he attempted to lean in for a kiss, but was interrupted by the sound of Aisha in trouble.

“Huh?” Jackie looked. 

Aisha was having trouble battling a kanay, when one trapped her in with dirt in the ground. Her spells weren’t working. Nex couldn’t help her although he was nearby, but he was battling a kanay himself and was struggling. 

“Nex! Help me!” Aisha called while trying to break out of the dirt.

Nabu saw Aisha was in trouble and came to the rescue. 

“Nabu!” she exclaimed.

“Let me help you” he said.

Nabu found a nearby blade and dug Aisha out.

Aisha was so grateful she gave him a hug.

“Nabu, thank you.” 

“Um…you’re welcome.”

Nex saw from a distance and was becoming jealous and angry.

A kanay jumped out of nowhere and did a sneak attack on Nabu and Aisha. 

Still in a hug, the kanay used an ice blast to attack them.

Luckily, Nabu saw the kanay.

“Aisha watch out!” he warned.

He put his arms around her and they went down on the floor together, dodging the attack.

“Thanks” Aisha said

Nabu smiled.

Riven and Musa finally arrived on the scene.

“You guys ok?” Musa asked

“Yup we’re fine!” Bloom responded.

“Now, I say we put that Kimberly back where she came from!” Stella exclaimed. 

The winx (including Aisha) and Jackie circled around Kimberly for a convergence spell.

“What- what are you doing?” Kimberly stuttered, as the Winx got into position.

“What we should’ve done in the first place.” Musa said.

“Winx! Convergence!” They said in unison.

“NO! NO!” Kimberly cried out. being destroyed. 

“Whoohoo! We did it!” they cheered.

Now, with a battle done, everyone finally can relax like they wanted to. Everyone sat together, around a fire.

“Finally, we can relax at the beach!” Stella sighed.

“Today was a really long day.” Flora added.

“At least that’s all over.” Aisha commented.

“So, what really happened?” Bloom asked.

“Umm…well you guys and all the other girls at the beach were crushing on Riven.” Brandon answered.

“WHAT?!” Stella screamed.

Everyone laughed.

“What’s important is that we’re together again.” Sky said looking into Bloom’s eyes and holding her hands.

“I agree.” Bloom agreed.

Jacob and Jackie stared at each other, (in love)

Riven and Musa were sitting together away from everyone else, so they can talk to each other privately.

“Riven, I have to say something.” Musa admitted.

“Me too.” Riven said.

“While you were under the spell, with Faith, I said something really important.”

“What is it?” 

“I said, that I still have feelings for you.”

“Oh.”

“And I do, Riven I still love you.”

“Musa, I don’t know what to say.”

“I know that when we broke up, we agreed that we’re not destined for each other.”

Riven nodded.

“If we’re not destined for each other then how did we meet at the Frutti Music Bar? Riven I think we should get back together.”

“Musa, I feel exactly the same way.”

“You do?”

“Yes, I do.” he laughed. “Musa I changed for you, so that if we got together, we can be. With less fights and arguments.”

“Oh Riven.”

“What do you say Musa? Do you forgive me of the past and consider us starting all over again?” 

“Yes. Absolutely Yes!” 

The two hugged greatly, and Riven cheered. 

BACK AT THE SINISTER SISTERS’ HIDEOUT…

Faith walked into the portal looking humiliated.

Victoria and Kasandra laughed at her.

“Nice job, Faith. Where’s Riven?” Kasandra cackled.

“Did Romeo get away?” Victoria teased.

“Not another word.” Faith growled. “I’m over him”

Faith shot some magic at the wall, out of anger, causing some potions to fall.

“So what’s our next plan, since this one failed.” Kasandra said.

“That Musa only knows how to get Marvelix, but didn’t know where the last page is.” Faith informed.

“So?”- Victoria

“We’ll follow the winx, and once they finally have the last page then we’ll snatch it right out of their hands!” Faith planned.

“I like it.” Kasandra approved.

WOF CHARACTERS - Lance!

(Fiction Character of the "W.O.F" Series)

PERSONAL INFORMATION:

Name: Lancelot "Lance" McLane.

Age: 19 years (currently in the series).

Birthday: He was born on July 28 in Aross.

Sign (Zodiac of the Fairies): Mermaid.

Magic Symbol: “The Sun and the Moon”.

Species: Fairys.

Titles: Fairy Godmother, Prince of Aross.

Planet of Origin: "Aross".

Relationships: Lucy (twin sister), Velo (boyfriend), Dren (cousin), Jinx (ex girlfriend), Queen Morgana (Godmother), Pearl (Animal Fairy), King Griffin (Father), Queen Rosalia (Mother), Queen Lyna (aunt).

PERSONALITY: Informal leader of the "WOF" group (formed by him, his sister and the 3 most powerful fairies of the Magic Universe), Prince of Aross (the Kingdom of Nature, protected by a magical stellar force field) and Fairy Guardian. Lance is a very positive, spontaneous and creative boy, he is always looking to help his friends get out of trouble when they do not seem to leave them alone.

HISTORY OF HIS PAST: He was born, grew up and lived in Aross the first years of his life with his sister and faithful companion Lucy, his parents (King Griffin and Queen Rosalía de Aross), Fallfoy (The Magic Wolf guardian of the twins) and his grandfather (the old wise man of the Kingdom). When he and his sister turned 16, they decided to escape from the Kingdom with the help of their Grandfather, since their parents thought they were too immature for their age and had to acquire some responsibility. So they decided to send Lance to a magical training temple and they engaged Lucy with the richest man in Aross. In order to save himself and his sister, they fled to the Kingdom of Morgana where they managed to enter the Academy of Magic with the help of their godmother. There the following years, Lance learned to better handle his fairy light powers to weaken the dark shadows and perfect himself as future "Fairy Godmother". The rest of the stay in "Fairy Academy" was to live adventures with Lucy, Dren (his cousin), Lia and Mayleen (his New friends). Already being the 5 together they decided to name their group as "WOF".

LANCE HISTORY IN "WOF" (without Spoilers): In the series, Lance is already a more mature, focused and 100% leadership boy, quite changed if we compare him with his beginnings, although he still keeps his Positive enthusiasm before the adversity. Due to his recent "Graduation" and the important 1st mission that Morgana entrusted to her, Lance decides to take charge of the situation and fulfill his duty as "Fairy Godmother". He just wants the right thing to discover and stop the "Thief of Talents" and that the Dreams of everyone and everything in the World are fulfilled, of course he does not expect all the problems that he and his friends will have to face. Lance knows well that the key to his powers lies in "Believing in himself" and the support of his friends, that is why he always tries to keep the Harmony in the group, especially when he is in a "drama of friendship” or “personal conflicts”.

POWERS AND ABILITIES: His Fairy powers are born from the solar and luminous source of the Force Field (the magic constellation that defends the magnetic field and atmosphere of his Planet "Aross"). This allows you to manipulate light and energies (such as electricity), super fast flying, teleportation, invisibility, among others.

WEAKNESSES:

Lance, is a "fairy of light". Generally this type of fairies (at least in the WOF Universe), are usually very susceptible to the lack of light and to be too long in the shadows (or even to be trapped in the dark). In the case of Lance this could leave him temporarily without powers or out of combat against his enemy (in very extreme cases, obviously).

APPEARANCE AND CLOTHING: Lance is a tall boy with dark hair and disheveled eyes, indigo eyes and pale complexion. In his "Outfits civil": Always wearing a yellow shirt with short sleeves, with long purple sleeves that cover his arms (right side: from the wrist to the shoulder and left side: from the wrist to the elbow). He wears dark blue trousers and a pair of black boots on his feet, his "Fairy Outfits" (on Dreamix): His whole outfit is brown, just like his high boots, his golden maroon with brown, in each boot he has drawn a half of moon of turquoise colors, in his waist he wears a belt of three colors (sky blue, cream yellow and brown cinnamon) together with a brooch of sun in gold. And they can not miss their Huge yellow wings with flashes of gold.

- He is an artist, he has the talent to paint although he only does it in his free time.

- According to the information, Lance would currently be the most powerful Fairy in the magical Universe of WOF.

- In the "WOF Band" he is the Pianist and helps Mayleen with the choirs and lyrics.
