August’s escape
is a room with a view;
lined with shadow boxes
ivy trellises & green fairy lights
an enchanted place filled
with mirror moons &
apothecary jars
where botanical essences
from last summer’s harvest
entice soft hearts & haunted minds
with smudges of sagebrush
wormwood flavoured wine
& bohemian life
a sanctuary where anything
is possible
an oasis
—on the inside
.

okay art farty people i need help finding a painting of this sick guy i think maybe in the military and he’s in the hospital bed on the left of the painting and the bed is facing to the right and there’s a window facing a beach i think. anyway he’s reaching out to this horse who a soldier has brought in. i feel like it may be french and might be ww1 era and perhaps impressionist or romanticism but i can’t remember the details well.
it’s been plaguing me for MONTHS
