Ship that is taboo: 💦 Oh, for sure it’s Sofiawald and Nygmakins. Don’t mention that you find these ships even interesting, let alone legitimately ship it, because sects of the fandom will throw a tantrum. If you actually ship them then you will be called homophobic, delusional, etc. GotHam fans can be particularly vitriol when it comes to Oswald and Ed seeing as they are the break out stars by far and happen to be the most popular ship. Nygmobblepot reigns supreme. Sofiawald is taboo because most people think Oswald is gay when actually his sexuality is never confirmed. (We just know he loves Ed and that Robin Lord Taylor himself doesn’t think Oswald is gay but open to all genders.) Nygmakins is also taboo because, again, Ed being with anyone but Oswald will cause a mini riot. Largely after everything Ed had done to Jim which led to him going to Blackgate thus Lee having a miscarriage and their breakup....it was strange to people that Nygmakins could be a thing.

Ship you’re curious about: 👀 oh I’m real curious about Freezewald. I’ve seen art for it here and there and, honestly, I’m here for it. What better way to get revenge on the guy who turned you down then to have your new super cool (no pun intended) boyfriend encase that bastard in a block of ice for you. Also, Penguin’s like the cold.

Ship that you secretly like: 💚 Nygmacest. when I saw Riddler talking to Ed in the mirror I was like....this is my crackship. This has all the chaotic energy I crave.

Freezewald story! Summary: Victor and Oswald connect and feelings grow. Victor also takes up a new hobby while Penguin tries to learn from past mistakes. Excerpt: “Penguin sat there, his body language thoroughly relaxed and the gentle, genuine smile on his lips was so pretty that it lit up the room somehow. He wasn’t ordering people around, he didn’t think there was anyone around, he was just lost in the story he was reading and in a happy mind space and damn did that suit him. The smile was in his eyes too, bright green and eagerly taking in line after line from the page, Oswald’s painted nails emphasising every precise turn of the page or trailing over the paper. He was dressed as he had been that morning, his fancy suit and a touch of eyeliner as well as that playful hair of his. Such a unique person, was Oswald Cobblepot. He was sure he’d be able to pick him out of a lineup by so many factors, the colouring and style of him, such drastic black and white while dressed so finely, his silhouette, his gate too given not only walking with a limp but just the way the man carried himself. If Victor could blush he would.This wasn't the first time he’d found himself thinking of Penguin so fondly, but it was the most boldly he’d just stopped and stared. And the moment just seemed to continue on and on, like time froze just for him to see this and indulge in taking in every detail, but eventually the bubble had to burst as he shifted his weight just enough to make a noise on the floor board and Oswald startled slightly, much like a bird might when getting too close.”

Is the Freezewald fandom still a thing? I’m late to and considered writing fic for them, but does anyone still care?

Honestly, I've been out of the fandom for a while XD Gotham has finished two years ago, and after some negative experiences inside the fandom I walked away little by little. Sometimes I still reblog something, but not as often as a few years ago, but it still remains one of my favorite ships, albeit very niche! And nothing stops you from writing fic on them! Indeed, if you intend to do so please send me to be able to read them, that period in the fandom was wonderful for me! Thanks for sharing a thought with me!
