hi! thanks for your interest :) ive finished my thesis on calkin-wilf dynamics in december 2023, and youre one of many people whove asked me to learn more. thats why i did explain some stuff about my son in this post i made back in january of that year

of course that was just the beginning of my thesis period so over the months i did make some more posts explaining things about or adjecent to my thesis. for example here and here. theres also this post about continued fractions but i struggled to explain them in an understandable way so im not really proud of it.

also the goal of 2024 is to publish a paper about the same topic, so ill keep everyone posted on that!

#in astana there is haunting symmetry. in the summer there are flowers breathing fresh air and fumes. in the winter ice covers the park #sole-deep so you let the LCD screen advertisements warm your heart. the serpent offers her a gold apple from a brass tree. #she bites the serpent. in london a biochemistry graduate becomes obsessed and beautiful. she designs gene sequencing devices. #she says the rubber components smell like cinnamon. #in tashkent the trees shine under the sun and the sky is vast. by the blue pond and the tall marble spires you see the fractal patterns #on the ceiling in her eyes. she feels like a strobe light firing onto your eyelids. she takes revenge. you can hear the water droplets fall #from into the fountain. she tells you about cre-lox knockout and how you should head into the city cafe and you cant #stop staring into her eyes and you can't listen very well. when she laughs all your hearts almost become an ocean. #in bishkek you suffer death by a thousand sunsets. your world is white and lilac and mountainous. you learn about the joy of #taking without giving. backstage of the opera theatre you kiss him again and again and again until briefly you are the apex. #in tehran the sun is almost as fervent as their full-up lungs (it takes up the span of your window. crisp edges through a particulate storm #they spend an hour making a 10-minute ride to chamran and the wheels are melting. the two girls in the car spend that time wisely. #the air is filled with smog so she breathes her instead. you like how she looks at you like she'll rip you apart. #here they sold the mountaintops. the girls take a brother'a army-issued rifle to the forest with them. #she says she could start a war. she says my heart is yours، from the caspian shores.

About the Liy and Flower's eventual friendship, I even made an AU, where Flower was on Death P.A.C.T, and she was swapped with Pen as of being the last one being picked, because to be honest...

I do often question WHY she wasn't kicked out after she decided to "imma pick two options 'cause yes" by, idk Pencil or Match, 'cause remember Flower was heavily disliked by others and the way Snowball only said "What the flake", when she fused Snowball's team and Pencil's team. And that was all. She wasn't kicked out, she stayed.

But what if she WAS kicked out by Pencil? What if she had to find new team, but nobody wanted to pick her 'cause her past? That'd be way more interesting for her character than what we got.

Just imagine seeing how Flower struggles with finding a team that would accept her, just imagine how we could feel bad for Flower and slowly grow likeness for her.

And imagine Death P.A.C.T's reaction when the last person to be picked is Flower, the same Flower, who killed Bubble and destroyed recovery centers back in finale of BFDI. I imagine their reaction to be:

Tree: "Okay, so who is going to be our last member?"

Pie:... Tree: "Come on, Pie! They wouldn't be that b-", sees that the last person is Flower, "Uh oh" Flower: "Umm... Hi?" Liy: "Whispers to Remote: Is this the same person that caused lots of deaths?" Remote: "From what I remember, yes Flower is THAT person, who destroyed recovery centers" Liy: "I will keep eyes on her" And in that AU Bottle was swapped with Bubble ('cause honestly she kinda should have been on Death P.A.C.T) and Pillow is swapped with Donut. I kinda want to do a better version of that AU, maybe even the whole rewrite of BFB? Maybe, 'cause I have lots of things I don't like and I want to change them. But back to Flower and Liy's friendship - I imagine they wouldn't trust each other at first, and they would hate each other pretty much 'cause of what Liy heard about Flower, that she is THE monster, that she is the one, who killed some people during the BFDI finale (BFDI 25). And I imagine Flower would work even harder than she did in original. Just imagine how it could of been cool. Death P.A.C.T could have been some sort of BLEH in that universe, where they would lost last 'cause of that arc. But I think the arc could be finished in BFB 12, after Flower confronts Liy about her behaviour towards her, about her mistreating her a lot, about her being so cruel towards her. Liy would have been feeling regret and would apologise, saying Flower was right and that she was just a jerk. Flower would just leave Liy alone. In next episode Flower would try to talk to Liy to try to have with her a normal relationship, which would slowly work.

OMG I wrote an essay... Well, sometimes it happens, right?

Yeah, it does!!! You're an excellent writer - I had a great time reading this. I feel like I understand the thought process behind what Liy and Flower can do for each other characterwise much better now. Awesome AU. I'd love to see more of it if you're willing to share.
