I’ve been shooting a lot lately with a NIKKOR-H 50mm f/2 on my Sony A6000. The 50mm has sat in my camera box for a good 2-3 years with no love up until recent, and to my surprise they pair together quite nicely

Not really a surprise for me, but the image quality of the lens is fantastic for something that’s 45 years old, bearing in mind the age and lens technology of the time. Smooth focusing (not Zeiss smooth, but pretty damn good) and by the feel of it, the lens and Nikkormat camera it came with were either barely used or very well looked after

While not always practical, I love manual focus and the technique involved, it slows things down, allows for a bit of experimentation and it’s quite relaxing, I’m sure walking the gardens photographing flowers has nothing to do with that at all...
