Set your heart free, my dear
“Then Joab went to the king and told him, and he summoned Absalom. So he came to the king and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king, and the king kissed Absalom.” 2 Samuel 14:33
And for whatever reason, my meditation always goes back to asking and giving forgiveness, vice versa. I just wanted to remind myself that as the Father God authored forgiveness through Jesus, He would always want me to practice and make it part of my living to forgive people and ask forgiveness. Whatever the cause is, God doesn’t want His people to be bound by the chain of pain and hatred and anger through unforgiving spirit. He wouldn’t want anyone suffering from not letting his/her free from hating someone.
I am asking myself to bow down in the presence of God, once more, to seek for grace and mercy and for the ability and courage to ask and give back forgiveness to the people who hurt me and whom I’ve hurt. Forgiveness is truly a gift for yourself more than to the person who did us bad. It is a medicine for our own heart, a healing tool. Therefore, I am praying that I can do this with all courage and surrender and dependence to the God who allows me to love and forgive unconditionally.
Lord, let Your grace and mercy and love anchor me once more to be able to do this sincerely and be victorious again. Set your heart free, my dear. Learn to love without limits, forgive without asking for anything in return, show grace abundantly especially to people who we sometimes think are not deserving, because once in our life, God has shown us these things in those time when we are yet deserving.

"If you actually pray to be forgiven just as you forgive, and yet you don't forgive a single soul, I'm tellin' you, you're making a dangerous request from the Lord."
It's 2054 GMT+8. And I love being filled with the Holy Spirit at times like this. :)
