it was no secret that padmé kept her schedule exceptionally busy and it had been preoccupied by politics, and the occasional rebellion necessity, more than anything else. she still considered herself to be close with aayla, but with anakin gone, luke mostly gone, and ahsoka no longer a member of the order, her ties to the jedi order were few and far between. still, she held a fondness and respect for qui-gon. two years without a sign of her husband ( sometimes she wasn’t even sure she could still call him that ) had been too long.

“it’s nice to see you again, master jinn,” she smiled politely. “i was wondering if you or any of the other jedi had gotten any sign of anakin.”

han could tell when someone was staring-- he didn’t need the force for that. enough paranoia about being caught doing something-- he had an eye for it at this point. least he liked to think he did. so to see the long haired man dressed not dissimilarly to ben kenobi. an eyebrow raised, “if you wanted to say somethin’ promise i don’t bite--”

Qui Gon’s Starter // @forcemasterjinn

Cody didn’t know who he would be meeting this evening, which was not reassuring in the slightest. Not only did it mean the Jedi didn’t trust him, which they’d expected, but it also meant that he didn’t know whether he was going to have to deal with someone he’d tried to kill while the chip was active. Great. Exactly the sort of nerves that make looking inconspicious while walking to the diner the meeting was taking place in would be. Still, they’d had some success trying to convince the Rebellion to take some information from him, and the Jedi he was meeting should be able to just sense if he’s telling the truth. Maybe. They’d never bothered learning all that much about the wacky things his Generals could do that didn’t effect his battle strategies.

As soon as he walked into the resturant, Cody was hit with a wave of nostalgia for Dex’s diner, which had been a good place for cheap food a long time ago. The smells were almost identical, apart from the lack of, well, Dex himself. Walking to the darkest part of the diner, Cody sits at the agreed table and orders a Lopez and a surprise soup before the door that he’s now facing away from opens once more.
