I'm here with the angst thought :3 FAIR WARNING TO THOSE WHO HAVENT SEEN TLOU2 YET IM TALKING ABT SPOILERS EXPLICITLY!!! but if you haven't been spoiled for it already I'm impressed its like everywhere

Okay so we all know how I keep associating Price with Joel Miller and how tragic that is but what i can do is make it EVEN MORE TRAGIC by associating Soap with Ellie in turn. Specifically with the huge falling out they have in tlou2.

So this whole edit and this one. Are making me particularly crazy.

Just imagining Price who could have been a little cold towards Soap in the beginning because he reminded him SO MUCH of a person he lost and had hardly recovered from, and he wasn't ready to care like that again ("youre not my son. And i sure as hell aint your dad.") . Soap being Soap worms his way into anyone's heart, Price included. So of course, the bond begins to form regardless of Price's apprehension. They get close too, Soap see's Price as a true role model, someone he can trust to come to for advice, someone he never properly had as a stupid teen.

Everyone makes mistakes though, including Price. He makes a bad call, withholds some sort of important information from Soap/the team. When it gets out, Soap is a blind rage. He feels that same sting of betrayal, and any respect he may have had for Price is gone. He's borderline hostile in any situation that requires him to interact with Price, and seeing the guilt on his captain's face tears at his heart, which only makes him angrier.

Then, Price is killed on a mission that Soap wasn't a part of. Soap brought in for backup when things start to go wrong, but by the time he gets there he's only just in time to see what is left of Price. Any anger he may have had doesn't matter at that point. All he can think of is all his regrets he begs Price to get up, to keep fighting, as if he doesn't see his brains painted across the floor.

Soap comes back from that mission different. His only motion becomes revenge, as if that will somehow fix the fact that his last words to Price was an attempt to truely hurt. It's some sick self fulfilling prophecy, they way he becomes so destructive the team has no choice but to bench him. Soap won't stop though.

He goes out on his own, seaking out with as much gear and information as he could to prepare himself to avenge Price.

He realizes, in a fight he cannot win, that he's the reason he will be dying alone. He's the reason that Price died alone. He's just glad he can't be the cause of anyone else's death now.

dev celebrates 1 year of writing!

oh gosh, okay, queue emotional barrage of sappy words:

i returned to writing fic this time last year when the stress of moving back to tn and the trials of a new job position began to overwhelm me. tlou aired and i waited until episode four aired when i finally said to myself 'you loved the game, what are you waiting for?' and binged it one day in bed. then each week, i returned to watch the new episode.

then the writing started. as a way to cope, as a way to comfort myself, as a way to escape the weirdness that had seeped into my every waking moment. i was so scared to publish anything because there are so many countless talented and amazing people in this fandom and i was worried i wouldn't be able to find a place. i'm still struggling with that, but i'm here.

i'm here and i'm proud of the fics i've created, the worlds i've developed to explore parts of myself with the various character portrayed by pedrito. and i am so beyond thankful that the space is here for me to do that. even despite the recurring discourse and the errant hateful / diminishing anons. i'm here and i'm going to continue to be here and share the things i create. they bring me joy and a way to escape reality in a healthy way.

i am so thankful for every single person who has made me feel welcome, who has followed me back, who has commented / liked / shared anything i've put out. it means so much to me and i just have a lot of love for this space and the people in it ♡

i’ve seen a lot of my moots doing this, so i figured i’d hop on the trend as well!

i wasn’t too active on this site during the beginning of the year, but as i dove further into this fandom, i definitely found my people! i’ve been a part of multiple fandoms, but i’ve never seen a more talented group of people like i have here, on this site. i see so many of my moots posting their fics and it honestly baffles me how someone can produce such BEAUTIFUL writing on this site for free! i ended up getting inspired by some of my fav writers here and got back into writing my own fics again, after years of not writing. i’ve never had so many wips i promise i’m working on them!

OK SO like hahaha laughs giggles folds my hands Sporeadical Mechanisms is a TLoU based Au!!! (tlou means the last of us) i am trying not to spoiler so many things grrgrgrgrgr Within my au, the main storyline will (sort of) follow that of the game(s). Some aspects will be different, including the main character(YN) not having a father figure(like joel for ellie in the game) and instead will be traveling with the DCA after finding them!!!! Currently, they(YN, sun&moon,) are trapped in the pizzaplex, the glamrocks no where to be found and sadly DJ music man is deactivated(dead) under a pile of rubble, and this area is also where they find purchase to rest for the night(after moon tells YN to go to sleep of course) YN doesn't trust the DCA, and even has plans of leaving them as soon as they find an exit to the pizzaplex. The reason being! YN just doesn't want to go through what they already experienced in the past. anywayyy snickers the DCA are infact missing an arm!!! and for good reason:) You keep their severed arm("just in case they want it back when we part ways...") in your bag, along with all your other valuables(guns, raw materials, medkits, molotovs etc...) They also are coated in fungi, be it spores or what one would see on infected(runners, clickers, etc...) one of their eyes is also broken, meaning their sight is a little bad(might come into play...smiles) they often,(when alone,) speak into the air, as if trying to talk to the fungi on their casing. why? well when YN found them, unfortunately, they were surrounded by child infected. After the children had no where to go, they wandered, runners, clickers, stalkers... they all found sun and moon. a dying memory. Just because they were infected, didn't mean they still had their memories, so on their deathbed, many of them lay curled up beside a deactivated(not dead!) Sun, and doing so caused spores to infect their room and sprout on both the dca and their surroundings(where they sat, turned off) Of course, YN had to pick either to survive against child clickers, or... i won't spoil anything more that i haven't already written in my fic<3

This wip is so close to my heart. It’s a request based on this post (which is months old lol soz). Joel x reader, jackson era, reader crochets for the town and makes Joel a hat as a welcome gift. Mutual pining but both think it’s unrequited. Reader makes him a special sweater with a cute little moose pattern (Joel as a moose symbolism makes me cry bc moose can literally trample predators and total ur car but they are still prey and can be taken down by enough wolves *tearing up and sniffling*). Anyways uh then you make some type of physical contact for the first time and promptly make him some mittens bc his hands were cold. Joel notices that all his things made by you are always a little nicer than everyone else’s. Also vaguely inspired by the t swift song (I am an avid folklore and evermore enthusiast)
