I hate how much Nina and Maggie mirror Aziraohalw and Crowley

Not the way it seems, though. Nina, sarcastic as she is, doesn't equal Crowley, and Maggie isn't like Aziraphale. It's the opposite.

The hopeless romantic whose fawning over someone their unable to have, who plays songs that remind them of their love (who they're convinced hates them). The one who promises to wait, to stay, just in case.

And the one trapped in a vicious, controlling relationship. The one who desperately wants to get out, even though they don't know it. The one hesitant to spend time with their love, for the fear of it. And, the one who is trying so hard to change.

Nina and Maggie did it. Crowley and Aziraphale can do it too.

summary: a movie night with you, your husband, and your son theo

a/n: y'all i'm begging you to request stuff bc idk what to write lmao, also this is my first time writing a dad character and mom reader, i love it

You, Rafe, and Theo were sat on the couch. Theo in between you two and a blanket over your bodies.

You were watching a movie that Theo had picked. He's four, so it isn't the most interesting thing for you and your husband. However, he enjoys it so you don't mind.

While you were still watching, you feel a poke on your stomach. You look down at Theo and he uses his hand to single for you to get close.

You bring your face by his and he goes to whisper in your ear.

"Mama, I think Dada's sleeping," he giggles quietly and points a thumb backwards.

You look over and see Rafe's eyes closed as his head rests against the couch. You smile at how pretty he looks, even as he sleeps.

"I think you're right, darling," you smile.

Theo squirms in his seat and finds a new position. He gets comfy with his head now on your lap and his arms holding onto your leg.

You run your fingers through his soft hair as you continue watching the movie, occasionally looking at your husband and son.

A little bit later you look down at your Theo again, only to see him peacefully sleeping.

You reach over to get the remote, trying to not move Theo too much so he doesn't wake up.

You shut the tv and slide the blanket off of you and him.

You carefully pick up Theo and put him in a type of cradle position, which was kind of hard since he wasn't a baby anymore. You go to bring him to bed when you hear a long yawn behind you.

"Sweetheart?" Rafe's sleepy voice fills the room.

"Yes, love?"

He slowly opens his eyes and sees you holding your son.

"Why didn't you wake me? I can carry him to bed," he says, standing up and walking towards you.

"No need, my love," you kiss his cheek.

He nods and follows you as you walk to your sons room. You gently place Theo on the bed and tuck him in. You two kiss his forehead and close the door as you leave.

You get to your room and you stand in front of the bathroom mirror, brushing your hair.

You feel Rafe wrap his arms around you and you put the brush down.

"You seemed pretty cozy on the couch," you grin.

"Sorry, I'm just so tired," he mumbles runs a hand through his hair.

You two brush your teeth and wash your faces.

You notice how he is having trouble keeping his eyes open. You smile at him through the mirror before turning to face him.

"Why don't we lay in bed," you suggest. He nods his head and kisses your head before he goes back into the room.

You two get into bed and he puts on the tv, knowing you who can't sleep without some background noise and light.

He brings you against him and you rest your head on his chest, closing your eyes.

He yawns and snuggles into you, holding you as close to him as he can.

"Goodnight, angel, I love you," he whispers, closing his eyes.

"Night, I love you too," you whisper back.

You two drift into a cozy sleep, wrapped in each other's arms, two hearts together as one.

how to bug netflix 101

a few ideas/tips to put pressure on netflix to reconsider their decision, given the fact that a select few shows have had their fates reconsidered:

Keep Shadow and Bone & Six of Crows trending! Character names, 'No Mourners, No Funerals', Leigh Bardugo, and other key words might help too! And remember that the threshold to keep stuff trending gets higher the longer that words/phrases trend, meaning we have to keep it active!

Spam the Netflix title request form at https://help.netflix.com/en/titlerequest

with Shadow and Bone, Six of Crows, etc. At the very least, it'll inconvenience them.

Sign the petition at https://www.change.org/p/save-shadow-and-bone-a3b37712-c648-4b87-9bfc-8b8cd685c623

Fill their social medias with calls to renew. Again, at the very least it'll be annoying/inconvenient, but at least our voices will be heard.

If you feel so motivated, you can submit anonymous tips to publications and ask them to pick up the story (though there is no guarantee this will work). IGN, the Hollywood Reporter, Variety, and Deadline all accept anonymous tips without having to register or provide personal information.

UPDATE (16 Nov.) Send emails to the following people and let them know (respectfully) that we're unhappy with their decision and that they will be losing money as a result!

At the very least, Netflix has continually refused to listen to fans, even though we have shown that fandoms have the power to bring in lots of revenue; they seem to have forgotten who pays for their service and gives them the money they need to pay for the shows nobody has asked for.

Even worse, Netflix is holding the work of the writers hostage by owning the scripts yet refusing to produce them. Either Netflix needs to return the scripts to the writers, or they need to give the scripts to a platform who will actually use them and finish the story!

Industry-wide, there has been a repeated pattern of streaming platforms buying the right to a book or a series and then holding onto it without producing it or canceling it without finishing the story. This is similar to what 'patent trolls' do, filing for a patent without any real intent to use it. This is grossly unfair to the authors, not to mention the cast and crew whose livelihoods depend on a show surviving for longer than a season or two.

Leigh Bardugo deserves better. The crew deserves better. The cast deserves better. We the fans deserve better.

No mourners.
