summary: mike can’t sleep even after a long late shift, which gives him a lot of time to think and realise how much he truly loves you and how he wants to spend the rest of his life with you.

Despite Mike’s recent late shifts, he can’t seem to fall asleep. He tried shifting around in bed, fluffing his pillow, and changing positions several times but nothing seemed to work. He’s given up, deciding to merely lay on his back and face the ceiling he once relied on many years ago when a poster was still taped on it. The memory forces him to shut his eyes, letting out a heavy sigh. His hand subconsciously makes its way to where you’re sleeping beside him, tangling his fingers through your soft hair bringing him the solace he craved this entire time. He envied how peacefully asleep you were, not having to shift around or beg to a God to help you rest at least a few hours like he had.

His fingers lace through your hair, gentle enough not to wake you, a small smile curling up on his chapped lips when he hears your soft snores. He couldn’t envy you for much longer, fully enamoured by your serene state. He turned his head to the side to look at you, though your back was turned to him he wouldn’t miss the chance to admire your bare back. His hand moved down from your head, his fingers dragging down to your back where he gently drew patterns simply to feel your delicate skin under his digits.

Honestly, this is better than sleep. He would take this over sleep anytime.

“You can’t sleep, can you?”

Mike retreats his hand, surprised by your sudden question. He thought you were sleeping. Were you awake this entire time? Maybe his touch had woken you.

“You’re awake?” He asks. You giggle at how groggy yet startled he sounds, turning around to face him now. He looked exhausted, to say the least. His eyes were slightly droopy with fatigue, eyebags prominent from countless restless nights.

“No.” You reply, both of you face-to-face now, smiling a little.

Mike’s hand cups your cheek, his calloused palm rough against your smooth, soft skin. He lightly strokes your cheek with his thumb, his eyes hazy as he stares at you with such fondness. You looked so perfect, you always did to him. He absolutely adored everything about you; the softness of your hair, your delicate skin and the way it flushed whenever he touched you, like now. He chuckles at the pink that tints your cheeks, such a pretty shade on such precious skin.

“What?” You ask with a nervous giggle. Something about having Mike look at you like this always made you feel a little nervous, even after all this time.

Mike shakes his head a little, continuing to gaze at you with glistening eyes. “Nothing,” he says at first, wanting to continue to admire you like this. God, he loved you. It was such a heavy feeling, but he didn’t mind how heavy it was, he would carry it if it meant he had the privilege of loving you.

A thought occurs to him, one that isn’t at all unfamiliar. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with you, that was always clear to him: he also wondered how marrying you would be like. He thought about it before, a few years into your relationship—about marrying you—and even wondered if you would want to marry him. You both barely mentioned marriage though. It was never a conversation you two had seriously but right now he thinks maybe it should be something you two should talk about.

How should he bring it up though, right?

He feels quite nervous and even a little shy about talking about this. What if you weren’t on the same page? God, that would be embarrassing. Maybe he shouldn’t even ask at all—save him from the embarrassment.

Fuck but he really wanted to know.

“I want to marry you.”

It comes out before he can even stop himself from saying it. He watches your expression, the way your eyes go wide and honestly he’s not sure if your reaction is a good one or a bad one.

“Wha—what?” You ask, caught off guard by his words and the sincerity behind them. You had never given it much thought before—marrying Mike, that is. Not because you didn’t want to but because neither of you ever brought it up, not seriously at least.

Not until now. Because Mike’s expression and words were genuine, no joke behind them.

“Yeah, what do you think?” He asks with a hint of anxiety to his voice. He was nervous, you could tell by the way he kept blinking his eyes.

It isn’t something you have to really think about. You and Mike have been together for six years, he was the only person who you could really picture yourself marrying.

A small smile creeps on your lips and Mike feels a hint of relief at the sight. You reach out to move a few curls away from Mike’s face giving you an excuse to touch him. He relaxes under your ethereal touch, practically melting under you.

“I would love to marry you, Mike.” You whisper to him. You love the way his eyes light up, the corners of his eyes crinkling up when he smiles.

It doesn’t take long before Mike pushes himself up so he can hover over you, his hands on either side of your head keeping him up before he leans down to kiss you. He pours his heart into the soft kiss, it’s not anything rough but instead something almost pure and tender. You kiss him back, inching slightly up to get more of him which causes him to chuckle softly. He pulls away from your lips then, only to pepper the rest of your face with innocent kisses.

He pauses briefly only to look at you—to really look at you. He loved you so much it almost kills him. He adored the way you looked at him with your pretty eyes, the smile on your lips, your fingers in his hair the way he loved it, how your eyelashes batted slightly. You were perfect for him.

He felt lucky being yours.

How about some snuggly mad mare stuff? Like maybe a day where it’s just cuddles pjs and popcorn

“Do you want cheesy or caramel?” Mare called from the kitchen.

“Caramel, please,” Mad called back, working on his little nest of sorts on the couch. He was piling blankets on each other, fluffing pillows, and laying them in exact positions to make sure when he and Mare got on the couch; it would be the perfect comfort for them however they chose to lie together. 

“Got a movie picked out?” Mare asked, coming into the living with the large bowl of popcorn in hand. 

“Yep!” 

“Is it FNAF?” Mare’s question was answered by Mad just smiling at him. “We’ve already seen it nine times.”

“Ten makes it a nice round number.” Mad pouted out his lower lip, and Mare was doomed. 

“Fine. We can watch it one more time, but then we’re watching the cheesiest romcom I can find.” Mare teased with a kiss on the top of Mad’s head.

“Deal!” Mad pulled back several of the blankets and gestured for Mare to get in first. 

“You have a whole system set up with the couch.” Mare teased a little more before slipping into the almost burrito-like hole of fluff. 

“You said you wanted an evening of movies, popcorn, and cuddles. I made sure it was as perfect as it can be.” Mad crawled into the couch as well, guiding Mare’s arms up and around him so the bowl rested on his stomach while his back was on Mare’s chest. He reached up, grabbed the remote from the top of the couch, and pressed play. “And, maybe, after we eat the popcorn, we could do a little something…extra while the movie finishes up?” His suggestion got a tint of red on his cheeks. 

“Is the Madrick saying we should make out while the FNAF movie plays?” Mare asked with a grin. 

“Maybe,” Mad said softly and grabbed himself a few pieces of popcorn. “But after we eat, I want it while it’s still warm.” 

“I think I can handle that~” Mare practically purred, kissing Mad’s temple.

Roman jumped into the room with his 3DS in his hand. “THOMAS! GUYS!” He shouted.

Virgil jumped and hid on the steps. “Roman!” he yelled angrily.

Thomas stuttered and threw his karate chop arms at him, Logan jumped and fixed his glasses, and Janus full on slapped him across the face with his hat. “What.” Janus replied, putting his hat back on.

Remus popped up next, to shout with him. “THOMAS AND LOGAN TIED THE KNOT!” Remus and Roman both shouted.

“I-Excuse me?” Logan reacted, feeling offended by the accusation.

Thomas shook his head. “No we didn’t. We’re the same person.” Thomas reminded them.

“In the game, I mean. Mii Logan and Thomas are married!” Roman mentioned.

“Oooh.” Logan replied, thankful it was just in a game.

Thomas snorted. “Logan and Thomas are married in the Sims?” Thomas asked.

“No. In Tomodachi Life.” Remus clarified.

Thomas blinked in confusion. “Wait...Tomodachi Life allows gay couples now?!” Thomas reacted.

“Well no…” Roman replied.

“We sorta...had to…” Remus continued.

“Set us all up in 2 separate genders: Male and Female.” Roman explained.

“That way, we can determine who would fall in love with who, without gender bias!” Remus declared.

Logan lifted up his index finger. “That…” Logan lowered his finger as he realized something surprising: “...Is exceptionally clever. Good job you two.” Logan complimented.

“So, female Logan and male Thomas got married!!” Roman declared happily.

Logan rolled his eyes and let a small smile show up on his lips. “Oh no. Next will be the baby in the baby carriage.” Logan reacted.

Thomas giggled and fluffed his hair, much to Logan’s unamusement. “...Really?” Logan asked, narrowing his eyes at him.

“Come on, Logan. It’s kinda cute.” Patton attempted to cheer up.

“Plus, Logan might get Pergenat!” Roman declared.

“Or Prefnat.” Remus added.

“Or Gregnant!” Roman added, looking at him.

“Or Bregant!” Remus laughed.

Or PRAGNAN!” Roman joked.

“Best misspelling in 3...2...1!” Remus ordered:

“PREGANANANT!” The twins shouted at the same time. Roman and Remus bursted out laughing at the same time as well, while Logan just walked away in disappointment.

“OH! And Patton got together with...Get this: WILLIAM AFTON!” Remus declared.

Logan’s walking skidded to a halt, before Logan turned around. “WHAT?!”

Virgil guffawed and bursted out laughing. “THE IRONY!” Virgil laughed.

“Who’s William Afton?” Patton asked.

Virgil only bursted out laughing even more, as Remus, Roman, Logan and Thomas all yelled “PURPLE GUY!” at the same time.

Patton blinked. “...Who?”

Virgil paused his laughing to start scream singing the lyrics to “It’s been so long’ by Tombstone. “THE MAN BEHIND THE SLAUUUGHTERRRRR!” Virgil scream-sang.

“The...the killer in FNAF.” Thomas explained.

Patton frowned and looked at him with sad, scared eyes. “...I’m dating a killer?” Patton asked.

Thomas giggled and patted his head. “Only in a game.” Thomas replied.

Patton let out a breath of relief. “Well, I have killed spiders before.” Patton mentioned. “So, that wouldn’t be far off.” Patton added.

Roman started watching Remus play on Tomodachi Life. “Awww! Baby Hitler is all happy this morning!” Remus declared.

Roman gasped and ripped the 3DS out of Remus’s hand. “HEY! Patton named his child after Bob Ross! You don’t have the right to nickname him Hitler!” Roman yelled.

Patton growled and full on tackled Remus to the ground. “YOU CHANGED THE BABY’S NICKNAME FROM BOB ROSS TO HITLER?!” Patton shouted. Remus was just laughing at his reaction, while everyone else was either concerned or enjoying the scene.

“Whahahat ahare yohohou gohohonna dohoho ahahabohout it?” Remus asked.

Patton smirked evilly and started squeezing Remus’s sides and hips. “NohoHOHOHO! PAHAHAHAT!” Remus shouted quickly.

Patton giggled. “I’m gonna treat you like I treat all my kids, fake or real: like the tickle monster’s prey!” Patton declared.

Patton growled evilly as he lifted up Remus’s shirt and blew a big raspberry on his belly.

“HEHEHEHEY! HAHAHAHAHAHA!” Remus screamed.

“Suffer, Remus!” Patton declared.

After drilling into Remus’s hips, Patton blew another raspberry onto Remus’s lower belly. “HAHAHAAAAA!” Remus laughed, before falling into endless cackles.

Patton giggled more and continued to raspberry him like there was no tomorrow on his sides, belly and ribs. Remus was squealing and DYING of laughter while rolling all over the place! He was like a wiggly child!

“PLEHEHEHEHEHEASE! IHIHIHI NEEHEHEHEEEED TO BREHEHEHEHEATHE!” Remus shouted at him.

Patton giggled and nodded as he stopped tickling him. “Here you go, Remus! Breath all you need to.” Patton replied.

Remus happily took in some oxygen and started to get over his breathing. “Do you regret naming the child after a german leader?” Patton asked.

Remus nodded his head and clicked the ‘Edit Mii option on the child. With the child ready to be edited, Remus moved to the nickname spot and changed his name.

There!” Remus replied, showing Patton the nickname. Patton smiled and said ‘thank you’ before looking at the name:

Patton growled, closed his 3DS and placed it down before quickly lifting his hands up in the air and tickling his armpits.

“WaitWaiT-WAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” Remus shouted, bursting out laughing once again. Patton had started attacking the right armpit, tickling down Remus’s ribs, tickling his belly and squeezing his hips before going back to his armpits to repeat the cycle.

“Are you going to stop your lollygagging and change the nickname back to Bob Ross?” Patton asked.

Remus only laughed more. “NOHOHOHOHO! NEHEHEHEVEHER!” Remus shouted back.

Patton smiled. “Awwww...that’s too bad! Looks like I’m gonna have to resume raspberrying you!” Patton declared before blowing a raspberry on Remus’s neck.

“WAHAHAHAIT! PAHAHAHATTOHOHOHON NOOOOHOHOHOHOHO!” Remus screamed.

“Ohohoho! Patton YES!” He replied. “That is, unless you change my Tomodachi baby’s nickname back to Bob Ross!” Patton offered.

“IHIHIHI-...NOHOHO! IHIHIHI’LL NEHEHEHEVEHER!” Remus shouted back.

Patton took in a big breath, and blew another neck raspberry while squeezing his right hip. Remus shrieked super loudly, and fell into silent laughter! “How about now?” Patton asked with a smirk.

Patton gave him a toothy smile. “Good boy!” Patton reacted as he let him go and gave the 3DS back to him. Remus sighed as he opened the 3DS, and clicked the ‘Edit Mii’ button yet again, on the Tomodachi character. With a few quick clicks and a save button press, Remus handed the 3DS back to Patton.

Patton looked at the nickname and groaned in exhaustion:

“You okay, Patton?” Thomas asked.

“Yeah, I’m alright. Just tired.” Patton replied.

“You think YOU’RE tired?!” Remus reacted, referencing his intense tickle attack from earlier.

“Mentally I mean, Remus. I’m mentally tired.” Patton replied.

“Oooh. Okay. Good night Patton! Have lovely dreams, my wife!” Remus teased.

Virgil and Roman bursted out laughing at this as Patton walked away from the blursed group.

It didn’t take long for more gameplay to show up, and for Roman and Remus to watch the characters interact with each other. The characters watch curiously and intently as Henry Emily confessed his love for Female Virgil. But the sides quickly expressed their disappointment as Virgil turned him down.

Meanwhile, Virgil smirked as he ate a bag of chips on his own. “Good job Virgil. You don’t need a man to make your life any more miserable.” Virgil told the character.

Roman, Remus, Thomas and Logan all slowly looked at Virgil.

“What? It’s true!” Virgil reacted.

you were always kind and respectful to them no matter how hard it was to you.

then it realized that it clearly has feelings for you.

I must say it never accepted it for a long time.

but when it accepts and things start to heat up, it will become quieter towards you, become shy and reach the point where hit cannot even look you in the eye.

sunrise helped them ask you out but Moondrop did most of it (like sunrise, Moondrop is romantic but it rarely shows that side of itself even to them partner. I don't think it's someone who likes to show them emotions and show them weaknesses and loved ones)

Also like Sunrise it is a gentleman. Although it is not like sunrise, it will take you out to a meal on the balcony under the full moon. (Of course, it's not right for them to leave they place, but it will find a way or it will be cunning and sneak out.)

And when your relationship finally becomes official, it will be overprotective of you.

When you are alone, it will pull you into its arms and hum melodies to make you rest and peaceful.

Like sunrise it will protect you no matter what you do (it has some lines we all know, don't even try to cross the red line)
