Shadow Warrior and Space Punks developer Flying Wild Hog has unionized. The Polish studio shared the news on Linkedin and said it has become the third studio to unionize under the Polish Gamedev Workers Union and Inicjatywa Pracownicza banner.  Notably, it claims it has also become the first Embracer-owned studio to unionize.  "Today the workers of Flying Wild Hog revealed the union within the studio," reads the post. "The union membership has been steadily growing, and if you too want to act and change the industry for the better—contact us! All specializations and contract types are welcome."  The Polish Gamedev Workers Union also represents workers at Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red and This War of Mine maker 11 Bit Studios. The unionized workers at CD Projekt broke cover last year, with the studio voluntarily recognizing the union shortly after.

Buried under a seemingly ever-increasing pile of open-world explorathons, and free-to-play multiplayer shooters, it’s easy to miss games that focus on contained, single-player experiences. Somehow,”Evil West” seemed to come and go like a blood-drenched tumbleweed with little to no fanfare. That’s a real shame because if you ever wondered what would happen if “Resident Evil 4” (2005), “God of War” (2018), and “Doom” (2016) had a baby, “Evil West” would be that baby. 

Part third-person shooter, part over-the-top brawler, “Evil West” puts you in the spurs of vampire slayer Jessie Rentier. Jesse’s on a quest to keep the Wild West safe from the creatures of the night one bullet (or electrified punch) at a time.

Shadow Warrior (2013, Flying Wild Hog)

It's a shame the reboot series can't seem to stick with one identity.

The first was great, the second was.. okay. I liked the addition of co-op and it still had plenty of fun secrets to find, but I hated the looter elements. Then there's Shadow Warrior 3, a mediocre DOOM Eternal clone with no secrets to find, co-op was removed, there's no replayability, and it's pretty short.

Such a bizarre trilogy.
