Hey all, my friend needs help. He needs funding for his incredible theater company, which supports the work of Puerto Rican playwrights, actors, and directors. They are doing amazing work and bringing new voices to the stage. Please share this link widely and donate a few dollars if you can. Link to the Twitter post is here if you want to share that as well. Thank you thank you!

#30dayfoodphotochallenge Day 27 - Empanadilla Picnic My day started with me wanting to take stock photos of backgrounds for @adobestock. So I picked up a few fallen flowers from a flamboyan in the park. I started to shoot the backgrounds, and remembered that I had made some empanadillas. I purchased the small colorful towel at Marshalls the other day for $1 to use in the Kombucha shoot, but I couldn't find it when I started the shoot. And of course I had to include the Valentina sauce. If you cut me open I bleed Valentina. I guess everything came together with no planning. I had no idea what to shoot today apart from the background, and I like how it came out. I again used the continuous light to create hard shadows, and the strobe flash for lighting on the other side. I chose to use the landscape ratio for this because the portrait would have cut out a lot of the photo. And the shadows looked weird. It's crazy how creativity works. jumanto.net – Mie Ayam dan Bakso Flamboyan Bandar Lampung.

[Almost immediately after, a strong gust overtook the clearing. Strong enough to knock flowers off the flamboyan that stood in the middle of the hill.]
Xoloet: You should know by now that the island is always speaking. You’re just not listening.
[A few moments passed by, the two cousins starting their trek down the hill and towards the coastline to get a headstart in preparations for the coming days. Oscar lingered behind, watching them with a preoccupied expression before turning his head to the hound that still remained on the hill.]

I always love how George is described compared to other men at the time:
The count-duke's imposing physique, sombre dress and starting looks were quite at odds with George's delicate frame, flamboyan tastes and handsome features.
As context George is meeting with the Spanish kings favorite here to discuss why him and Charles just kinda randomly came to Spain without notice. Because the Spanish were irritated but also kinda amused that’s why they did hear them out (or at least heard George out). Like they did not really give too many fucks about the British they had bigger and more important things to worry about politics wise and England for them was just a tiny island swimming in the sea with a kinda irrelevant king.
hold up, the spanish king had a favorite like james had a favorite?
England for them was just a tiny island swimming in the sea with a kinda irrelevant king.
i'm screaming about this. Geroge had been around for so long he kinda changed the whole perception of the king no?

in case someone is wondering, this is exactly how desi weddings are.
extravagance, flamboyanance, opulence.
the only non realistic part was no one forgetting their dance routine because there is always that one cousin who shows up a day before the sangeet for practice.

Miss Grand Puerto Rico 2022 National Costume
It represents El Yunque, a national forest that is considered one of the few Natural Wonders of the World.
The Flamboyan Tree recreated in this dress, is celebrated as a major iconic image of Puerto Rico, the intense red color of its flowers fills the mountains with splendor, sidewalks, and fields in the summer months.
Among the greatest riches of the fauna that inhabit the forest you will see the Puerto Rican parrot, which is unique to the archipelago of Puerto Rico and is critically endangered.
You will also find our small coquí which is a very popular creature throughout the island. When Puerto Ricans want to express their nationality, they say: "Yo soy de aquí como el coquí" (I'm from here like the coquí).
