new transmasc and transfem flags just dropped!!

there’s been Discourse™️ on twitter lately (as there always is lol) about the transmasc and transfem flags and people have been saying they’re intersex and non-binary exclusive and made by bad people and yadda yadda whatever so i decided to make some updated ones for the hell of it.

meanings, explanations, and color codes under the cut!!

both flags are based both on the original transmasc and transfem flags combined with the traditional trans flag.

the transmasc flag has more blue than pink to represent having more masculinity/transitioning to more masculinity and the transfem flag has more pink than blue to represent having more femininity/transitioning to more femininity.

the colors of the outside stripes are the same as the outside stripes on the original transmasc and transfem flags. i kept them as one does not need to lose all of their femininity to be transmasculine or lose all their masculinity to be transfeminine. masculine transfems and feminine transmascs exist and are cool as hell and should be represented. there’s just more blue on the transmasc flag because transmasc people (generally) identify more with masculinity than femininity and more pink than blue on the transfem flag because transfem people (generally) identify more with femininity than masculinity.

the center stripe is white for intersex and non-binary people, as a representation of something “different” from the usual norm (the norm being the binary that there and men and women, and that you’re either a trans man or a trans woman).

i kept the general layout and pattern of the standard trans flag with white in the center and pink and blue stripes above and below it, but made it a 7-stripe instead of 5-stripe flag so that i can show there being more masculinity/femininity than not.

the two blues on the transmasc flag are the averages between the light blue and the medium blue, and the medium blue and the dark blue on the original transmasc flag. the two pinks on the transfem flag are the averages between the light pink and the medium pink, and the medium pink and the dark pink on the original transfem flag.

Emotional Processor

Knight Lesbian, Strawberry Lesbian

Knight Lesbian -> a flag for knights who are lesbians, lesbians who are knights. lesbians who protect against queerphobia and bigotry, especially bigotry towards lesbians and who dont gatekeep the lesbian label but instead welcome more people to use it if it fits them. this flag is inclusive of mpecs, aspecs, lesboys, he/him, they/them and neopronoun using lesbians and nonbinary lesbians.

Strawberry Lesbian -> a flag for lesbians who like strawberries, strawberry loving lesbians. this ones more so up for interpretation, could be feminine leaning lesbians, cottagecore lesbians. and this label just like knight lesbian is inclusive of the same but strawberry lesbians prefer to stay out of queercourse and away from bigotry but can also be knight lesbians if they'd like.

these are not genders, but youre welcome to make genders related to these. you can think of these as alternatives to femme and butch lesbians if you'd like but you dont have to.

abinary flag redesign

i never liked the OG abinary flag because it basically only being yellow means it's really low contrast, so i made this one.

yellow and green are often used to symbolise gender that's independent from the binary, as green is the inverse of purple and yellow is a primary colour that can't be created by mixing other colours.

black symbolises genderlessness.

the whole thing being a gradient represents abinarity being a spectrum of many experiences rather than a single gender.

At the request of an anon, and with help from a tomcat and stag bisexual (with myself identifying as a doe), I have worked to create some designs for the sapphic bisexual identifiers of “stag,” “tomcat,” and “doe.” These terms are for bisexual sapphics who embody queer masculinity, androgyny and femininity respectively!

itboy:

an itboy is a boy who is also an it. could be a boy who feels a bit non-human, a bit like an it, or someone boy aligned who uses it/its pronouns, or anything similar. it can be used as a gender, a descriptor, or anything you want.

feel free to use and rb this if you’d like!!

more info about the flag:

i picked the colors from the existing it/its flag, the demiboy flag, the trans flag, and the gilbert baker pride flag.

in order they are the blue (it/its men), cream (it/its non-binary/other people), light gray (it/its multigender people), and dark gray (it/its agender people) all from the it/its flag, the blue from the demiboy flag (representing boy), the blue from the trans flag (representing man or boy), and the turquoise from the gilbert baker pride flag (representing magic).

i added the gilbert baker turquoise because i feel that itboys and it/its pronouns are a bit magic and mystical feeling, and the turquoise stripe means magic. also the gilbert baker flag is my favorite pride flag ever and i just love it so much i had to add something from it.

Subculture flags! [Part 1]

I was thinking it'd be cool to have flags for just what general fashions, music, and aesthetics I like but the only ones I could find were about if your gender is tied to them so I made ones just for general use by anyone that'd consider themselves part of the subculture.

In order we have; Goth, Emo, Decora, Dark academia, Light academia, and Mori Kei

More will come soon, so feel free to leave suggestions. These are not gender terms, just general subculture flags but if you want to use it in that way I'm not going to stop you.
