Did you receive the prompt about 21 jump street clexa in which Clarke gets grilled by Indra and being plugged into a lying detector machine ? Lexa being frisky at the end would be a bonus though, Clarke being sensible and saying they can’t do that under India’s roof or shell get skinned alive, but Lexa convinced her and maybe Clarke has to face Indra and gustos in the morning
(Previous) (Next)
"Lexa, no."
Clarke bats away the curious fingers sneaking into her pajama shorts.
"But Clarke…"
"No." Ignoring Lexa's frustrated whine, Clarke turns around on the uncomfortable guest bed.
"We've been here for three days." Lexa argues, her hand trailing up a sunburnt thigh.
"Three glorious days where none of your parents shot me."
"Babe…" Lexa whispers against unruly blonde hair, her lips pulling to bite on a tense shoulder. "We can be very quiet."
"You're making this very difficult."
"Oh yeah, I want to make it hard, babe. Please let me go down on you."
One blue eye blinks open, scanning the room. Clarke groans and turns around.
"Are you sure your parents are asleep?"
"Positive." There's mischief in Lexa's voice as she ducks under the covers, the sheets at her family's lake cabin smelling like cheap detergent. Clarke takes a deep breath, pushing her shorts down and spreading her legs to welcome Lexa. Lexa has just tied her ponytail when there's a knock on the door, heavy and short.
"Good night, ladies," Indra's voice sounds from the other side. "Don't forget we're fishing early tomorrow morning!"
Clarke's shriek is muffled by her hand, and she glares at Lexa while searching for her discarded pajamas.
"She knows," she whispers, turning her back to a frustrated Lexa.
"Babe, she was on her way to her bedroom upstairs."
"They'll know, Lexa. Good night."
"Clarke, c'mon."
"There's fishing tomorrow. I need rest."
Lexa climbs up to lay her head on Clarke's shoulder. "What can I do to convince you?"
"Not be 10 feet from your parents, for one."
"What about the boat house?"

And that's the story of how Indra found a butty-naked Clarke on her fishing boat at 4 a.m.
Lexa, thankfully, was wearing underwear. Clarke's underwear, which didn't help much in Clarke's defense.

idk if you still want uk tips, but here they are if you do:
people will be weird and/or excited about your accent, especially people who live near you
brits love a budget german supermarket, lidl and aldi have a lot of fans in the cost of living crisis
gp visits are a nightmare, and if you're moving from another country there will be LOADS of paperwork, but you should get signed up with a surgery ASAP - also, you can go to the pharmacy for a lot of stuff
queue culture - we love standing in lines
if you don't like tea, don't bother (lots of us don't) but it's a pretty big cultural thing so give it a go (we're such a nation of tea drinkers that the national grid [electricity] has to compensate for the number of kettles we use daily
wear whatever you like - nobody really cares
if you drive, you'll need to retake the test for UK roads
greggs is the iconic lunchtime place for mid tier pastries (sweet and savoury) and lunches
also, pie in the UK is typically savoury, filled with meat and/or veg and gravy
meal deals - a sandwich, crisps/chocolate/another snack, and a drink - are absolutely everywhere and an incredibly common lunch
we love double carbs - chip butty anyone?
fish fingers are such a good food that i don't think americans have? baked beans are nice but you can add spices/flavourings to them
you don't have to like marmite - if you try it, ONLY HAVE A SMALL AMOUNT. any american who puts a full spoon of marmite in their mouth is basically unknowingly undertaking the british cinnamon challenge
basically everywhere has a chippy (fish and chip shop), at least one curry place (thanks, colonisation(!)), and a chinese. curry's almost always good, chippies can vary, and be VERY careful with the chinese, because they're iconic for food poisoning (although absolutely delicious as well)
all restaurants have a food hygiene rating on the front door - 3 or less is questionable
find out if you qualify for any travelcards and get familiar with your local public transport - buses are often late, coaches are typically on time, trains often don't come at all
seriously. don't take the train if you can POSSIBLY help it - it's BONKERS expensive and often cancelled and replaced with a coach
know a bit about uk geography, if poss - lots of usamericans don't seem to know what wales is, or how north and republic of ireland are different
main tv networks are channel 4, itv, sky, and the bbc. c4 & itv are free with ads, sky requires a subscription, and the bbc is free but can only be watched by households with a tv licence (if using iplayer, the bbc's website, you can just lie about this, but there's a whole debate about whether they can/will catch you - look up tv detector vans)
british people end their texts with 'x'. it is NOT FLIRTING, we literally do it to everyone and often you'll get two or three - it's basically a punctuation mark. don't look into it
york specifically is like the north ? with emphasis on the question mark. england has a lot of perceived cultural differences between the north and the south, with the south stereotypically richer, ruder, entitled, busy, unfriendly, and the north stereotypically more rural, insular, prejudiced, and working class. it's not always true, and afaik york's a pretty afluent area, but it's something to be aware of
ahhhhh you are so kind, thank you for sending me all this! unfortunately, I am no longer moving to the uk because I was tragically fucked over by the university, so I'm moving to canada now. but if I ever end up moving to the uk after getting my master's (which is not out of the question!) this advice is incredibly useful, thank you so much for going into such detail, I really appreciate :')

a mega fish butty
“as you can see, i don't have a lot of cooking ability so...this is ending up a proper car crash"
louis is notoriously bad in the kitchen, but he figured a fish finger sandwich wouldn't be all too hard. what he didn't account for was the disruptive, half-naked cameraman who refused to help him slice a tomato.

𝐈'𝐦 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 🥪
Literally my sons favourite meal is a Ham, cheese and cucumber sandwich with salt and vinegar crisps - it's his go to meal, doesn't take long to make and not expensive so win win.
So, rather than a long winded instagram post today I'm keeping it simple - lets talk sandwiches! What's your sandwich filling of choice?
The first photo is a mix of ham, Cheese and Cucumber, ham and Cucumber and also Salad, Asparagus with Halloumi with mango chutney in Bake at Home buns plus some houmous and pringles. Halloumi is the best ngl. Second photo - your classic seeded wholemeal bread 🤌
𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬:
• Tuna mayo
• Prawn mayo
• Egg mayo
• Cheese and marmite (it works)
• Chocolate spread and Banana
• Jam
• Jam and cheese (also works)
• Bacon, Brie and cranberry
• Peanut Butter and Honey
• Tofu Bacon BLT
• Avocado and salad
• Ham & Tomato & Avocado
• Ham & Cream Cheese
• Ham & Coleslaw
• Sausage butty
• Bacon butty (classic)
• Vegan slices and salad (there's vegan and veggie options for lots of things now)
• Sloppy Joes (I make a chilli con carne and my eldest likes it in a bun with melted cheese)
• Pepperoni & Cheese (may as well have pizza)
• Fig & Prosciutto
• Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato
• Goats Cheese & Bacon
• Pulled Pork
• Cheese and onion
• Ham & Pickle
• Ham Salad
• Ham, Lettuce & Beetroot
• Roast Beef
• Goat's Cheese, Walnuts & Honey
• Halloumi with Avocado Pea & Mint Pesto
• Roast Beef Salad
• Steak Salad
• Philly Cheese Steak
• Corned Beef & Pickle
• Cheddar & Apple
• Cheddar, Apple & Spring Onion
• Cheddar & Marmalade
• Cheese & Pear Ploughmans
• Fish fingers (also a classic)
I think with sandwiches you can be as creative as you like from vegan to meat options, from wraps to baps!
... And yes this was a lengthy post about sandwiches.

Whenever something happens around Louis that is new, Sea Snake instantly takes on the lingo and begins to speak with great familiarity as though she's a longtime comrade in arms, an insider, or a fellow Doncaster native. She lives in the American Midwest and I guarantee you had never heard of a "fish finger butty" until Louis made one badly, yet she began to write about it immediately as though she grew up eating it herself. I cringe every time she tries so hard to mold herself to whatever he does in complete allegiance to him. She appropriates his entire culture and zealously adopts whatever color of the day he happens to be. She's suddenly an expert on English football teams. It's just so gross. She will learn about a new staffer at BMG, and day one she'll start rhapsodising with great familiarity as though she knew this person even before he did. Her whole lexicon changes. She takes on words, names and phrases with smug familiarity even though she'd never heard of them before that instant.

The Tommo Way: He said 3 but I actually have 4 in a sandwich. I think it’s perfect so we’ll do it my way.
🚫: I would normally put some foil on here but we ran out just today. So this is what we’re working with.
🥒: I can do this. Just dig in? How’d you do it? I’m blaming me tool. There we go! That looks half right. Obviously you want to have a bit more in there. But as you saw from my execution that was not...not really the best.
🍞: Now also I will say, I use a lot of butter. As you can see, I don’t have a lot of cooking ability. So the more butter, the better.
🍅: How do you slice tomatoes? I’m trying to think about it. How do you slice these?
🚑: This is ending up a proper car crash. I’m ruining it already and it’s not even out of the oven. Oh dear!
🔪: Yeah, there’s a theme. Chopping, peeling, slicing not great to be fair. Everything else, I’m alright.
⚠️: I’m all about flavor. Presentation for me is secondary.
🥪: A few tomatoes. The only ones that I did alright. That’s a beefy one that though. [...] It’s starting to make a bit more sense as it all comes together.
✅: I’m not going to lie. It doesn’t look that appetizing does it? When you look at it. It probably tastes nice though. As I said, it’s not about the presentation for me.
🔥: It’s actually pretty banging! It’s actually quite nice!
📝: So all I’d say is follow the recipe a little bit closer than I did. [...] Again, if you do want to get healthier with it, it’s just normally better not to have taken a bite out in your sandwich before you bop it in. But it doesn’t really matter. I’m not really a man for cucumber but I’ll give it a go! Bit of crunch.
💯: Yeah, I’m happy with that!

“Hmmm... Fish fingers and chips sandwich... with lots of ketchup in it...”
It sounds tremendously unhealthy... but also tasty. All that potato goodness and the crispy battered fish fingers and the fishy goodness and- Oh, but that seems like a lot of carbs and she needs to stay in shape for work...
“Ah... it sounds tasty though... in a really unhealthy way.”
