Spoilers under the cut because I’m a nerd and I want to explain why some of them are there :) also don’t judge for gratuitous Spiderverse

Home and Start a Riot- these ones are there for the setup of the story. The general vibes of Link trying to be a normal person when all the people he should be able to trust are trying to make him a handy little killing machine, followed by being handed the world’s biggest responsibility, followed by becoming a criminal. These just kind of had the vibes I was looking for :) Also, he’s a badass, so Spiderverse.

where do you go- this is mostly Zelda and Link being fascinated by this person who they can’t get close enough to get to know for obvious reasons

From Eden- I like looking at this from Link’s POV, where he’s basically this terrible criminal that has been built up by the king like some sort of demon, but he sees his own struggles mirrored in Zelda and also he’s in love with her even though it will get them both in a lot of trouble.

When He Sees Me- I LOVE THIS SONG A LOT OKAY. Here it’s Zelda getting over all of the inhibitions she has about Link and acknowledging how nice it is to be seen and wanted as she is. This song is what love is ABOUT to me- getting over the fear of something terrible to finally be wanted for who you are :)

Let’s Fall In Love For The Night and Deep Water- this is just Zelink being there for each other and falling in love and all that. Mental montage of hanging out in her room and doing nails and also talking about the heavy things that they can’t normally voice 🥺🤌

Sick of Losing Soulmates- Zelda is tired of being angry about the sword being kept a secret and just wants to figure out a way foreword that doesn’t involve losing Link.

No Such Thing- look he’s mad but he do still be in love with her. This song was what I was trying to get at whole he was in prison but I feel like I didn’t do a really good job of it 😓

It’s Alright- Zelda learning to forgive herself for the mistakes she thinks she’s made, deciding she’s not a monster, and she’s going to make things right. She has a lot of guilt for a lot of things, but it’ll be alright.

Fire Underwater- I also. Really love this song. This is during/post Stalnox, where there’s this realization of “yeah I still love you, even if I’m in a shitty place and trying to ignore it, and you give me a lot of hope and determination when I might have lost that already”

Elevate- this song is just sick as hell. This is Impa breaking Link out, and Link facing down the Calamity, and Zelda,,, you’ll see when the epilogue comes out but you can get an idea >:)

anyway, can’t believe i have to say this, but people who reblog jokingly or not posts about wanting other people to die over shipping opinions is an example of bad, if not worrisome behaviour. the dragon prince overall has been a very welcoming fandom of respecting each other’s ships and ignoring personal notps. with that in mind there are some key exceptions i have seen with one such anti who drifts into tdp and httyd fandoms (where there’s some decent overlap) that i blocked a long time ago. please block and move on. i’m sharing cause i know how upsetting it is to casually see people in the tags, skim their blogs, and find some pretty disturbing posts. this goes for all people

💛 - Who or what made you realize you were queer?

God, this is going to be the nerdiest fucking answer so brace yourself. Realizing I was bi didn’t actually come from one specific person or a big lightbulb moment that I can remember, BUT. I started going to cons when I was maybe about 15, and before then I’d only really been exposed to more conservative kids my age, so at those cons I started to get to know and hang out with groups of people with a range of queer identities and it like. It felt like something making sense for me?? It didn’t necessarily make things click right away, but rather when I did start coming to terms with my identity it made it a lot easier to figure things about by getting to know people who had experienced the very same thing, you know?? (Although, tbh the way I felt about Christy Carlson Romano as a kid really should’ve tipped me off sooner LMAO)

🦚 - Are there any queer books/shows/etc. that you would suggest?

OOH GOD I wish I had like, a profoundly important or historical piece of queer media to recommend that’d make me seem real cultured, but like. Tbh most of the media I consume from video games to shows these days includes queer characters in central roles, (like Arcane or TLOU) but the stories aren’t necessarily about their queer identities specifically, so I’m not sure if they’d count for this question, you know?? I’m definitely open to hearing y’alls suggestions myself if anyone has any good recs!!

we successfully domesticated several bird species, so it makes sense that at least some dinosaurs would also be domesticatable! might take a few thousand years, but I am willing to put in the effort to see this through.
