Not to toot my own horn (lol I know that's the point of the tag game), but I consider this my magnum opus of 2022. It was the first time I fully incorporated lighting onto a full-piece and I was so proud of how it came out. Seeing all the wonderful comments of ppl loving it meant to much to me :') Also I continue to push my brown eyes supremacy propaganda lmao

Cullen and Immy's babies

Backgrounds are always a challenge for me, full illustrations are in general (sighs in wanting to be a portrait artist then changing my mind & deciding I wanna be an illustrator smh) especially when there's multiple characters in one and there's 5 in this. The whole process of thinking about every aspect - lighting, color palette, poses, dynamics, perspective jmfidi is SO MUCH. But I really wanted to do this because I wanted a full family illustration of Immy and Cullen w/ their bbs. I don't think it's perfect but me finishing it and actually DOING it helps in going forward.

Uh-oh, more Cullen x Immy baby content lol. Cullen and Immy's post-Trespasser's life (my hc of it) is my comfort place. I've never cared about giving OCs babies until I romanced Cullen w Immy and now it's all I can think about ;-; The two of them as mamae and papae just make me jmfidijf and baby Ilao is my absolute beloved even tho she's a menace <3 (Papae Cullen does things to my heart ;-;)

Sinag 2.0

I made Sinag when I was 22, and since I'm 28 now, I've changed quite a bit since then. I've revamped her recently because I've been feeling disconnected with her and I think this helped me find her voice again. So ofc, I had to draw a new proper art piece of her. I was so worried this was going to come out awful because Dragon Age armor in general IS A DOOZY to draw lmao. I'm pleasantly surprised this came out decently, Hawke's armor made me dizzy looking at it lol.

Cullen x Immy as Jane and Bingley

I did a screencap redraw of Lizzie and Darcy as Amihan and Nate, so I decided why not do it with Cullen and Immy - cause I've always seen them as Jane and Bingley. It turned into a full study that took me three weeks (cryin) but I was really happy with how the environments turned out. I really SHOULD DO one again. I put blood sweat and tears into it so I kindly ask to Please Look lol ;-; <3

This is a great story, but heed the warnings. It's an interesting spin on the soulmate trope, because yeah, you can argue that Jack died when he overdosed, even if it was just for a small moment.

I have so much to say about this story. SO MUCH. It once gave me a breakdown when I was feeling super lonely, cause the fic is about friendship. Zimbits is just a part of it, though. Everyone gets a moment to shine and it's so good.

Hi hi, finally some time to write this! Due to recent events I've been getting some questions from various people and I also have some questions for you guys so I'll try to do this in 1 post 😸

Are you really not planning to write fics anymore?

That's the plan *nodnod*, but you know me. There's always a 'but' and a clown mask ready in my storage to put on if I happen to go against my own words. But the intention is to stop posting fics here, I'm too tired of it now lol. I might post a fic or two on AO3 once in a while, maybe write a collab with Mia if I feel like it. It's just... how do I say it.. my motivation to write more fics basically got washed down the drain together with blog #1. Let us see for how long that motivation swims in the sewers...

Can you reupload [fic name]?

If it's on my AO3, I won't. If it's not, hmm.... I probably also won't. But! It depends on the fic. Always feel free to ask, but please don't get angry when I say no! ^^ For now I have an exception: commissions. More about this down below in my question to you guys.

Why won't you try to get your old blog back?

It would require filing an objection against the copyright claims against me with all the legal risks, submitting my personal info from home address to name, and consenting to USA legal law stuffs bluhblahblah... :") For me too much of a hassle. I don't think my blog is worth it. Even if I don't know the exact details, I'm sure they're not wrong. Whether it's fair or not, most fandom stuff has copyright issues in the end, so I can't protest against the claims with 100% certainty it won't get me in real trouble. More info about this soon in another post!

A message to my followers

It's been 46545665 years...

But finally I decided to resurrect this blog. I could've start a new one, but I think I want to keep it, not only to take a nostalgic look to my old art, but for the people I met here. I hope you're doing well, guys. I should have highlighted my hiatus before, but when I realized it, I thought it wasn't necessary after all this time.

For those who don't remember, I started here because of Undertale. I drew fanart, I drew aus, I created my own which was called Chronictale. It was fun, but the idea of turning into a comic became too much for me. However, maybe I rescue it smh.

Anyway, I want this blog to be the place for my fanart mostly, and see how it goes. I will start posting fanart of my recent obsession, which you might find out in my banner...

14. Something you really don't like about this series?

Hm.. Less about the series I guess, and more of the general treatment of female characters- The oversexualization of them particularly. I get having fanservice, but alot of what the games do is just 😬 We respect women in this house, they deserve better- AND if we're gonna fanservice WHERE is the equality? Sexualize the men too. Also, having thousands year old characters looking 12....

Obviously (m)Corrin and Niles- Of course they are canon, IS hasn't come out and said they're not, so who's to say they aren't 👀 it's my playthrough and i get to decide the canon ships! and who am I, if not the walking talking kamu//zero propaganda machine? I mean that's why I'm drawing them all the time lol. I genuinely hope they get an alt together in feh the way Chrom and Robin did earlier this year.

oh geez I gotta come up with another spicy hot take- lets see. ah- avatar characters are in fact their own characters, none of them are "self inserts" despite having customization options, because they all have their own distinct personalities. also, while you can have a preference for one version over the other, ultimately male and female versions are the same, because they're literally the same character so it's pretty dumb to hate one version while holding up the other one over the same traits- (ex. i have seen people hate m!corrin for being "too emotional" while in the same breath adored f!corrin for being "a strong and emotional protagonist" they're... they are the same character. and people do this with all the avatar units smh)

here's julie and the phantoms performing at la pride!! i had the idea for this piece back in december or january and i'm so so happy that it's finally done! i love seeing everyone's interpretations on the characters, so i've included some of my own headcanons. being a part of the lgbt+ community is very important to me, and i love how wonderful and accepting this fandom is!! and on top of that, the representation in this show means a lot to me. i hope you've all had a great pride month, and keep marching on proud! ☺️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️💕

for the MC game: my MC for your game is a short "girl" who wears a lot of oversized stuff in the early 2000s. when they come into modern day and see the discussions of things like being trans and nonbinary and the difference between gender identity vs gender presentation, they feel a lot more comfortable dressing femininely (still loves oversized tho, aint nothing wrong with that) while identifying as nonbinary. it results in a gradual confidence boost and, whereas their loved ones remember my MC as constantly cracking jokes but the sense of humor being very self-deprecating, their sense of humor evolves into being a lot less based on their self (after reading "yo that wont help your mental illness" online) and now they actually, finally, start laughing at their own jokes

they go from this "my resting face is a small smile and im awkward and shy" to being very giggly and still awkward but more outgoing (bc now a baby's got a sense of self-worth and doesnt mind taking up as much as space as they used to). one of those "i like being around you bc your laugh makes me smile and you laugh all the time" kinda people, yknow?? plus, very polite. Alex's parents probably really liked them; they were always on their best behavior and would put down the game controller to offer to help Alex's parents with cleaning the dishes or set the table kinda kid?? sometimes that makes things awkward, because its VISIBLE when those people feel like a bother (esp in someone else's home), but still. manners are nice, yknow?

they were in college to be an animation student and rip them, technology in animation has changed a LOT since the 2000s, we dont even call the program "(Adobe) Flash" for Flash Animation (think Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, that style is called Flash) "Flash" anymore, the program is called "(Adobe) Animate" now smh gotta retake ALL of those tech classes, your drawing fundamentals are good, but the times have changed alas. it kind of sucks bc they were good at studying and actually took notes and would actively practice, just trying to be a good student and now most of their notes are outdated and not relevant to the industry

im trying to think of what else would be fun and helpful. they probably played with people's hands a lot, just bouncing their hand on the palm of someone else's, holding hands and swinging arms, tracing circles with their thumb on the back of your hand-- lots of casual PDA and yet would turn VISIBLY FLUSTERED at any flirtation or kisses anywhere, just fully flushed deer in headlights kinda moment as they bluescreen and process and their skin starts heating up. definitely is the type where the ideal date, always, has been hanging out at Target and Walmart and the like

I’ll confess my sins. When I skipped the first chapters of Capri I got stuck on Laurent’s description as spoiled and similar to overripe fruit. So i was like ah. Royal Dudley Dursley with a blonde curly wig. Sounds about right. I finally saw some fan art and was like??? Who is this anemic Victorian vampire legolas persona?? Honestly tho in an alternate universe where Auguste doesn’t die and Laurent still dislikes sports but enjoys Veres sweet meats and his metabolism is only the slightest bit slower Laurent is absolutely getting chubby. And Damen. Smh he manages to be shadiest bitch while also being appreciating. Would he insult an overweight courtier who never touched a sword? Absolutely. Would he respect a meaty sumo ringer able to throw Damen around like a rag doll? Absolutely. He seems to appreciate multiple types of bodies just fine (muscled gladiators, frail slaves, sturdy vaskian women) so I feel like he’d also appreciate curvier partners as long as they. Well know how to use their body yk. Oh and what about chubby jokaste? We don’t know enough about akielon beauty standards at all. Sure slaves are probably mostly slender and frail to add to the submissive aesthetic (tho I do remember damens fixation on his female slaves big boobs, dude is far from subtle as always). But if it’s Ancient Greek inspired beauty standards jokaste most definitely rocks some tummy rolls. Either that or she’s got super toned abs from the Pilates classes she visits with the other trophy concubines. and akielon man are properly ripped but is it king-Leonidas-washboard-abs ripped?? Or more chunky functional muscle mass ripped? Perhaps akielon noble women are even trained like Spartan women and egeria was the one with the washboard abs. Also there absolutely was a time in Vere where the chubbier the pet = the wealthier it’s owner. Im so so sorry for rambling but your post got me t h i n k i n g

This is not only hilarious but also one of the best takes I’ve ever read. There is so much to unpack here that I truly don’t know where to start.

You mentioned Dudley, whose weight and fat (derogatory) tendencies are accentuated throughout the entire Harry Potter saga. I think—and this is my personal belief, it is not something anyone else has to agree with—that part of what makes Laurent interesting and redeemable to many readers has to do with the fact that he’s beautiful*. I don’t think many people would be willing to admit that, but Laurent’s pretty privilege as a fictional character is similar to Draco Malfoy’s (in fanon) or other morally grey villains/characters’. Ugly characters are harder to forgive, for some reason.

This got me thinking that had Pacat written Laurent as canonically fat, there would be a lot of stuff going on in Damen’s head that I don’t think we’d be able to excuse as easily as we excuse other (quite horrible) thoughts of his. But also, like I mentioned above, I think Laurent would have a harder time proving to some readers that he’s not Dudley, that he’s not just a stereotype of selfishness and greed and other things fatness is associated with (like childishness or an inability to take accountability for one’s actions). This would happen not because he’s fat, but rather because we see the world through Damen’s eyes. And Damen is. . . Quite opinionated.

You mentioned Damen would be judgmental of someone’s weight based on their ability to fight. So, like you pointed out, he’d make fun of a useless in battle courtier but not of a Sumo wrestler. I think in Book 1 Damen would make fun of anything and everyone, but I do understand where you’re coming from with that statement. It makes me wonder what Damen would think of people with a mobility/physical disability. Or even with learning difficulties. Or just about anyone that, according to him, doesn’t contribute to society. If you can’t be a warrior or a bed slave, and if you’re not in a condition to be a peasant and plow fields, and if you don’t have royal blood in your veins. . . I have a hard time picturing Damen being sympathetic.

Chubby Jokaste. . . I think I’ve always thought of her as a muscled woman, given the fact that Laurent can pose as her in Book 3. There’s been a lot of discourse lately on whether Laurent is muscled or a twigly twink, which I will not get into because I. . . do not know enough about gender and/or gender expression to add anything to any argument. I am also not a gay man, so I don’t know what could be considered offensive. I am also very stupid. I also do not know what the word 'twink' means anymore.

Your ask has made me think a lot about many things I’m usually not interested in. I think it would be interesting to see a chubby Laurent who still knows how to fight, who trains, who does things other than eat and hate. Canon Laurent is slender, and yet he never manages to beat Damen in combat, so I don’t think his ability to fight would suffer much from gaining some pounds. It would be interesting to see chubby Jokaste too, even though I don’t particularly enjoy the parallels between her and Laurent in canon. It would also be interesting to see. . . different types of bodies. You mentioned the Vaskian ladies, which I like a lot, but I don’t think I’ve read or come across any fics that focus on them. I think Vannes’ pet is also described as muscular and big, but I’m afraid I don’t remember the quote and I don’t own the books, so I can’t be sure.

What I liked the most was the ending of your ask, where you went on to add little worldbuilding details. Like I said yesterday, I wish canon was more detailed so we could maybe have something to hold onto when we make certain claims. It’s hard to say which parts of Damen’s thought process are entirely his (as a prince with a lot of privilege) and which ones have to do with his culture. Pacat has pointed out some to us, like the fact that Akielons don’t enjoy certain “spectacles” of the body, like pet rings or public sex, but they do enjoy staring at bodies when they’re wrestling or performing physical activities unrelated to sex. Other things remain little mysteries, in my opinion. Do all bed slaves have the same body type? Do women wrestle? How does marriage work in Akielos? What is everyone else’s opinion on fat people? I’m sure not everyone is like Damen, who we speculate cares about having a healthy body so he can fight and. . . stuff.

I am not saying Damen is the only character who, in the historic period where Captive Prince is set, would have fatphobic thoughts. If Damen was fat, Laurent would be the first one to use that against him, especially in Book 1. I just think Damen fits the fatphobic mold better because he’s described as this hypermasculine character, very into war (I think the blurb of the book calls him a warrior prince?) and manly things. Which is not to say war is inherently manly. Which is not to say Laurent isn’t manly. Which is not to say. . . whatever.

Captive Prince is a fantasy trilogy, set in. . . the past. Concepts such as fatphobia or toxic masculinity are not exactly applicable, but I think it’s fun to explore Damen’s character through his flaws. Laurent has a lot of flaws, but Damen’s are sometimes confused with virtues. In my opinion, they’re at their best when they’re being disgustingly horrible to each other.

I’m sorry for writing you a 90 paragraph response.

* He's almost universally beautiful in the Captive Prince world. Damen finds him pretty, and Torveld, and Jord (we've read that 'cute' quote where he describes Laurent at 15 to Aimeric). Not saying fat = ugly. I'm saying it seems like the 'hegemonic' body type for pretty is Laurent's, otherwise. . . why would everyone he comes in contact with comment on his pretty looks?

Thank you for the ask!! I honestly didn’t think I was gonna get any lmao so I appreciate it! 1.) Like the previous ask I work on multiple things at once (blame adhd) so along with the two I shown before I’ve also been working on this indulgently lmao

2.) This was REALLY hard to decide BUT I think I got my 5...

In first place we got this self portrait I did! I was neck deep in an art block and super bummed SO my beloved dear friend suggested I try a different style and wouldn’t ya know it IT WORKED. I haven’t done a self portrait since high school and it’s always been something I encouraged artists to do so I also took my own advice for once lol

In second place is this piece I did for my hunter oc from Destiny he’s my lil baby💕

Third place is THIS GUY. They really kickstarted me putting more effort into painting my ocs rather than fan art and OOF all I did was paint over a sketch (you can still see the texture and pencil marks on the bottom) and it’s still just so pleasing to look at

Fourth place is Clover and Davie! I don’t think an explanation is needed this is just so cute 💚💚💚💚💚

Lastly we finally got some fanart! I was trying out some older brushes and this just took off on me but I really like how it turned out even if it got a lil lazy on some parts. It’s a shame the post didn’t really get any attention though 💔💔💔

I also wanted to include an honorable mention... the pic is a lil low quality but I painted this in my junior year of high school (so about 2017-18) and it is still one of my favorite traditional pieces I’ve ever done

10.) I’ll try to make this one short bc I’ve rambled enough already lol  This might kind of sound depressing to some but it was one of the only things I was ever really good at. It was something that couldn’t be compared to my brothers or any other family and something that I could easily lose myself in (also bc of adhd but shhh). Not only that but I really don’t think I’m a very good writer or uh, “speaker” so being able to put myself down on paper meant everything to me. Not to sound too nerdy but it’s also why I love Haikyuu so much (like it enough to binge it four times,, smh) is that I haven’t seen anything that encapsulates every mood I’ve felt during my year as an artist. I won’t jump on a whole lecture abt haikyuu but with some of these characters, it’s hit REAL close to home both as an artist and just as a person  (not so subtlety recommending everyone to watch/read haikyuu lol) And that’s it!
