Final Photographs of Deconstruction Garment Project:

The final photographs from the photoshoot we did.I am happy with the outcome and I learned a lot about how garments look in professional lighting and camera.I am very proud of myself as I had never made anything like this before and I think I did very well for my first project.I really like how I styled my piece and I think the hair and makeup photographed well.I would’ve liked for the fit of the top to be better as it slightly stickers out in the front and I would’ve liked it to lie flat.Overall I really enjoyed the process from going from sketches to mannequin to final garment and I am happy with how it came together.

The Thing (1982)

Here’s the conclusion of my 5 winter/Christmas pieces in December! I’ll be posting my Krampus, Black Christmas and Silent Night, Deadly Night pieces very soon.

This piece was my most ambitious one and had taken over 5 hours to complete with a total of 12 characters overall! The remaining 6 characters on the Status menu are actually animated, have a close look!

First completed piece

I have resolved the first piece for my exhibition. My St Patrick's tiki sculpture. There is a genuine feeling of accomplishment to have something in the bag for my final module! I painted it using acrylic paint as I wanted a sense of cheapness to it, but I also used pyrography to write on the back "Guinness" in Ogham, the proto-Gaelic language I learned in order to produce this piece. I am proud of how it has turned out, I hope it will be well received in the exhibition.

Finished Zine flip through.

Here is a flip through of the zine in its final booklet form.

I didn't realise at first, but I am grateful that I left those Zine projects until last in my Movement project as it both combines and displays all three of my discipline electives in one piece. The perfect way to end my semester 2 project.
