@FiLMiC #FiLMiCPro #Ver6_19_1 #iOS15_5 #iPhone12ProMAX #VKTR After upgrading my iPhone12ProMAX to iOS15.5, which was released this week, the volume keys do not work to start and stop shooting. And I can't switch the microphone. Is this a unique problem for me? https://www.instagram.com/p/CdvwWVMpRoY/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

what camera and filter do u use ???? 👀
I’m actually just shooting on my shitty iphone camera lol no filters going on here!
A lot of the work i do in the industry when it’s not on set is in post, so I’ve encountered a variety of different ways to create a certain look to just about any footage. What i’ve found works best for me is simply shooting at a lower exposure and bringing out things like highlights in post, to help create those deep colors and harsh shadows without having to alter those two settings themselves. Gives it a more flat and painterly feel that I try to strive for as my personal look while also not looking too artificial in camera. Natural colors babyyy! (i use this tactic all the time, not just for my feedism stuff. if you’ve seen my regular photography and cinematography, same stuff going on there).
I DO however use a special app on my phone, since iPhone’s imbedded camera app is kinda shit, user-interface-wise. It’s called FilmicPro, and pretty much lets you manually alter exposure, ISO, shutter speed, zoom and lens changes just like a real camera right there on your phone. A bit pricey, but it has literally replaced my phone’s camera app, i use it for everything. 100% worth it, in my eyes. (I bet I could make my stuff look even better with a more recent phone, i only have 2 lenses to work with.)
That said, the app can only work within the limits of the imbedded camera, so i’d personally like to get a nice fancy camera for myself. Saving up for one now, thinking about a black magic 6k camera with a helios 44 russian lens, both of which are some of my favorites to work with.
GREAT question, i’ll talk your ass off about cameras and cinematography if you’d let me.

NEWFOUND RESPECT FOR RUNNING from Sebastien Camden on Vimeo.
As part of the ongoing series "Newfound Respect for" by Altitude Sports, I was approached by the online retailer to create a short 1-min self-narrated mini-doc that would follow my relation with the sport of running and how it evolved throughout the pandemic.
My goal with this project was to create something personal and lo-fi that would feel unpretentious and honest. It was also a great way to experiment with low-budget gear and see how far I could go with it. That's why the whole project was entirely filmed with an iPhone 12 with prosumer equipment (DJI drone and gimbal, polarizing ND/PL filters and the FilmicPro iOS app).
With the pandemic roaring at its peak and many new responsibilities on the horizon, running helped me manage my stress levels. It got me out of the house while giving me breaks from screens. However, the short film explores how I had to realize that my focus on stats and performance were bringing back into the same trappings that I was trying to avoid in the first place.

iPhone12 Mini
iFilm & edit all my videos on the iPhone. Been editing this interview for a few days in my spare time. Probably another 30 mins of editing/ adjusting sound levels and the job is finally complete. I’m usually so zoned in on my work I never step back and look at the bigger picture, one foot forward at a time and never look back mentality. Just now took a step back and took a screen shot of all the add on’s being placed in the video and realized I need to increase my prices 💲free isn’t cutting it, I’m robbing myself 🤣😂. My phone screen is starting to look like the professionals desktop screen. I haven’t been editing/filming for long at all but I truly believe I’ve found one of my passions. God’s Favorite.
