A Harwin Strong/Reader story where his father and yours have been best friends since childhood, meaning the Strong family and yours spent a lot of time together when you were a child. Your lands are adjacent.

Your parents have 4 children including you. You're the only girl. Two older brother and one younger. The oldest of your siblings is 5 years older, then second oldest is 2 years older and last sibling is 3 years younger than you.

Your first older brother and Harwin are the same age and forged a friendship like their fathers before them.

During the boys' training when you were all kids (you wanted to train as well but your mother wouldn't allow it, not even a bow), Larys kept mocking his brother who swore he would become the strongest knight in the kingdom and make his family proud. You always told Harwin not to listen to Larys and that you knew he would make a fine knight. You always showed support and cheered for both your brother and his best friend.

When you were 11 and they were 16, they left to fight for the kingdom. You saw your brother sporadically along the years. But somehow, you were always absent the times he visited with Harwin. Your mother had sent you to one of her sisters with the hope that she would make a lady out of you. A difficult task as you preferred sneaking out to train with your bow - a secret gift from your brother - rather than sitting through sewing lessons you found absolutely boring and uninteresting.

That was the past. Much has changed since then. You are now 22 and your father has been appointed Hand Of The King which required you to be at court. Your mother was overjoyed. It would be now easier to find you a match. The only reprieve you can find in this life changing situation is the reunion with your favorite brother.

Your first visit to the Red Keep has you and your mother lingering in the garden with the princess, unaware of two pair of eyes observing you.

Unaware of the conversation your brother was having with his best friend, both arboring their City Watch armor.

"Who is the woman with the Princess?

Harwin sounded mesmerized. Your brother chuckles.

"That's my sister Y/N. Don't you remember her?"

"I remember a little girl mounting gods knows how, an uncontrollable horse 3 times her size because she wanted to come hunt with us."

"She's not a little girl anymore. Her temper though hasn't changed much. The last suitor our mother found, ran away from her... for a lack of better words."

Harwin threw an intrigued and somehow amused look at his friend.

"She spoke of the beauty of poisons. Some poisons are so venomous, it only takes one drop to be deadly and the victim never sees it coming. Lord Jonas was so uncomfortable, he excused himself and left. Mother was furious. "

Maybe I'm going out on a limb here but I think the real reason why Brendan said a Tedbecca endgame was never considered enthusiastically was because it stood in the way of Ted going home. Period.

They wanted to tell this father/son story so much, they couldn't risk it with a tragic lovestory. Maybe they were never that appalled of Ted and Rebecca getting together (or maybe they were) but in the end they just wanted Ted to be Mary Poppins.

Well guess what: Mary Poppins doesn't have panic attacks, mental health problems and self loving issues about being "too much"!

I'm just so mad that during these three years they never thought "maybe we should go another way", "maybe the story developed differently than we thought", "maybe there is more chemistry between our leads than expected - let's explore that a little more".

And even if you want to choose to ignore all of that for the sake of a plot you thought about 10 years ago, then it should at least be executed so that the audience is completely on board. You can't just silence Ted in the last episode and call it "him being at peace". We never got the chance to see him struggle with that decision which makes everything in 3x12 so odd.

"I'm leaving the Villa today."

Everyone gasped when Coco said this. No one saw this coming at all. That she would leave.

Truthfully, Coco had been thinking about this since she saw Suresh at the first recoupling. She didn't want to deal with him anymore. Seeing him brought up old memories and old feelings that she wanted to leave behind. She came to the Villa to leave her past behind and Suresh ruined that.

As he always did.

"Coco, wait. Are you sure?" Dana looked grief-stricken.

"Yes, I'm sure. It's what best for me now."

"Oh babes," To her surprise, Kat walked over and hugged her tightly. While she and Kat never got along most of the time, they did care for each other in some strange way.

Finn joined in the hug, rubbing her shoulder, consoling her.

But Coco didn't cry, to the contrary, she felt free. As if a heavy burden was released from her shoulders.

Kat and Dana were both crying. Why? Coco didn't know but she understood why. They had gotten so close in the past five days despite the petty arguments and the catty behavior.

Arlo and Meera were quiet, looking dumfounded.

Eddie frowned, looking at Alfie and Suresh.

Alfie... he was pale. He stared blankly at the floor saying nothing.

And Suresh?

He looked devastated. Really devastated which surprised Coco. Why was he so hurt? He had been running around the Villa, flirting with Arlo without a care in the world. He had so happily taken her chance to move on. He had no problem cracking on with Dana and Arlo which infuriated her.

And why it made her want to leave.

Coco packed her things quickly, feeling relieved. She could go out and live her life again.

"Hey."

Coco looked up and saw Alfie. His face was red with tears but she felt nothing. He told her point-blank that he couldn't handle her baggage and she needed someone who could handle her flaws, her messiness, her baggage, her.

"I'll miss you," he croaked.

She nodded curtly, "It was nice meeting you Alfie."

She walked away.

And he wasn't worth her time anyway.

When she walked to the bedroom, Suresh was there, waiting for her.

"Here to gloat?" She spat.

He looked hurt, "No I-"

"You know what's funny? This was my chance to move on. This was my summer. But you ruined it, ruined it like how you ruined my life. Are you happy now?!"

"Coco I just-!"

"DON'T! Just don't! You sat here and scared away any guy that wanted to get to know me but you oh so happily cracked on with Arlo and Dana. You're a terrible person Suresh! I know that. Now these girls will learn it too."

Suresh's eyes were filled with tears, much to her satisfaction. Everyone in the Villa was gathered now, watching the spectacle like they always do.

"You're awful. You are. And I hope you're satisfied. Goodbye."

She pushed past him, leaving him.

For good.

As Coco walked out of the Villa, she was glad. She could find someone else on the outside. She could find the one for her.

She would be okay.
