I’ve gotten a commission which features Gus Fring from Breaking Bad- but this isn't it (ノ*ФωФ)ノ When I'm unfamiliar with a character, especially one from a live actor, I like to do a lil study to try to figure them out~ This generally means my clients get to enjoy little bonus’s here and there (o゚v゚)ノ ‘Ken perks!

people on here or dwtwt make relationships so black and white. This is an example because I know more about this relationship than say Danny and Clara or others past season 4. But the way people will say “mickey was the good guy and Rose was the bad guy” or vice versa is so frustrating and shows how people don’t understand how complex relationships are!! In ‘Rose’ we see Mickey wanting to go to the pub seemingly to calm Rose down after her shop blew up. She knows immediately it’s to watch football (also showing this is not the first time he did this to her). Same in the scene where Mickey switches conversations and Rose goes “oh we’re talking about me for once” again showing Rose can’t talk about her future without him (and or her mom) knocking her down. Now Rose should’ve broken up with him she should not have called him in Boom Town to see him (he also could’ve turned it down). But Yes Rose knows he will probably come and she knows shes going to be traveling with the doctor. (Honestly after that moment their relationship is confusing because in School Reunion they act like exes but we never see them truly break up and Mickey goes on dates and Rose doesn’t accuse him of cheating so like do they have an agreement when she’s traveling they’re not together)? Rose and Mickey had a codependent relationship, they both clearly wanted different things (Rose to see the universe and travel, Mickey to settle down). Rose was use to Mickey in her life due to familiarity (also probably feeling she should date him since she knew him so well). Mickey probably the same way (unfortunately we don’t get to see Mickeys life like that due to him being not a main character and well other things). But yeah these two grew up together its love but not true love. I think Rose liked Mickey and Jackie at the Powell Estate too because of the fear that the Doctor will leave her one day. She had a father who died as a baby (often children of dead parents have abandonment issues) and Jimmy Stone running off. She was also extremely insecure, etc. Anyway this long post is basically neither party are in the right or wrong. It’s complicated and they’re in an young adult relationship. Should have Rose broken up with Mickey? Yes but you could say the same about Mickey as well.

do you think the mess in oshiros hotel is meant to signify that hes been letting his problems pile up until its become too overwhelming to handle.
im thinking about the fact that he's definitely the one who's been making the mess but he doesn't even realize it. he ignores the clutter until it becomes too hard to ignore you know? like when it starts actively blocking the way to the presidential suite. he insists that he and his staff will handle it and that madeline shouldn't clean up his own mess, but he still doesn't do anything about it. does he know that the staff is gone? that it's just him there?
mr oshiro is so hell bent on impressing madeline so that she'll stay in his hotel. he's so in denial of everything. he doesn't even realize he's dead, he still thinks his hotel never got shut down. I think his insistence on her staying is bc he really wants to believe that the hotel is open, and a costumer would affirm that belief. it could also maybe be a mixture of loneliness too. (also, him treating her as a costumer even after she says no is absolutely him being in denial. that man is very unhealthily attached to this hotel,)
and even though it was nice of madeline to clean it up, there's still parts of the hotel she can't fix. the plumbing. the windows. the, hole in the ceiling (oops.) she's not qualified to help him, and that's why I think the chapter ends on a bit of a sour note. madeline is of course not a bad person for wanting to help, the point is that she can't. it is unfortunate but true
anyways mr oshiro is a very good character i like him a regular amount. im normal about that old man

there’s not a single thought in my head but that scene where Rose hides behind Dorothy all sad because Blanche is staring daggers through her for snacking on her diet food by accident

Always thinking about a Youtube comment I read recently that pointed out how Pink Pearl's injury was caused by the destructive powers from Rose's yelling. & when we hear Rose's voice in the more recent years of her life, in Greg's flashbacks and in the tape she gave Steven, she was very soft-spoken
