so im curious about niram's many hands on his outfit. his cloak(?, feel free to correct me) is really neat, i like all the hands on it. did he design it, or did someone give it to him or--??

His poor tattered poncho… it is now retired in favor of a new one that I’m still kind of waffling about designwise. u_u It was definitely just something I developed ooc as part of his general design— the hands are actually supposed to shift and change on it, which you can’t really tell in still images. One could assume I am just lazy and don’t bother doing the same pattern… and they are correct.

It was designed by Feldmar, the draconic quartermaster/outfitter of the Hall. It was the first piece of custom clothing he ever owned, so even with it tattered I think he will treasure it a bit.

2014-ben kezdtem el dolgozni egy három részből álló játékfilmen, ami a Csernobil atomkatasztrófáról szólt volna.   Négy évig írtam a scriptet, castingoltam Kievben, interjúztam túlélőkkel, szakértőkkel, bejártam Ukrajnát, Csernobilt stb. A végén kollégáimmal már a kilövő pályán álltunk, egy startra  kész, innovatív projekttel, de a film az utolsó pillanatban leállt. Az európai filmfinanszírozás túlbonyolított pályazati rendszere bedarálta. A német #arte akkori vezetője szerint semmi szükség nem volt egy filmre Csernobilról. Az amerikaiak ezt máshogy gondolták, és fél év múlva, nem sokkal a kivéreztetésünk után, elkészítették minden idők egyik legnézettebb sorozatát Csernobilról. A faszkalapot kirúgták (nem ezért...) az ARTÉ-ből, nekem meg khm...kissé elnehezedett a szívem. Mindegy. Azóta jobb a hangulat, most éppen a #rengeteg2-ben bolyongok. Kapkodom a fejem, nincs időm szomorkodni. Na de. Itt van #davidattenborough új filmje, aminek keretét #pripjaty-ban forgatták. Attenborough elmegy a helyi általános iskolába, sétálgat az özön növényekkel felvert üres utakon, és filozofálgat. Amit elmond, az éppen az a gondolat, amivel négy (inkább öt) évig házaltam Európa szerte. Ide futott volna ki a filmem. Néhány évtizeddel a katasztrófa után Csernobil valóságos földi  paradicsom. A környéken talán a csiszolt kőkorszak óta, nem volt olyan biodiverzitás mint éppen ma. A harcsák  százharminc kilósak, de nem azért mert mutánsok, hanem mert nem halásszák őket, előhelyük háborítatlan. Visszatértek a farkasok, a hollók, a szarvasok - csupa olyan élőlény amiknek esélye sem lenne ha az emberek nem léptek volna le 1986-ban a környékről. Csernobil tájseb: az emberiség történetének legpusztítóbb ipari katasztrófa okozta súlyos sérülés. A seb nem csak beforrt (szinte az egész zónában), hanem ökológiai szempontból épebb, teljesebb mint valaha. Nem túlzás azt állítani, hogy a radioaktivitás kevesebb kihívást állított az élővilág felé mint az emberi tevékenység. A monokultúrák persze eltűntek - mert hozzájuk ember kell - de az "igazi" természet tombol és virul. Távol áll tőlem a bűnbak képzés, az alarmizmus meg pláne. Az emberiség nem hibáztatható saját természetért - aki mégis ezt teszi, az félre érti az élővilág evolúcióját. Arrogancia azt gondolni hogy az ember elpusztíthatja a természetet -  a természet soha nem fog elpusztulni. Talán a COVID-19 segít ennek belátásában.  Bármennyire nehéz érzelmileg megemészteni, mi nem főszereplők vagyunk ezen a bolygón - soha nem is leszünk azok. Nekünk nincs életünk, az életünk nem a tulajdonunk, hanem egy mintázat, ami rajtunk és élőlény tárasainkon keresztül manifesztálódik. Mi eltűnhetünk - éppen úgy mint a valaha élt fajok olyan 99százaléka kihalt már, jóval fajunk megjelenése előtt. De az élet marad. Köszönet Sir David Attenborough-nak azért hogy aktuális filmjében, nem elégszik meg a bárgyú 4K-s masszírozással - ami azért már fárasztó volt az utóbbi évtizedekben. Pláne tőle. De ez  most más. Attenborough újra itt van teljes díszben, valódi diagnózisokat állít fel, összetett gondolatokat közöl, megoldásokat kínál. Ő a terméketlen károgás, és hibáztatás helyett tisztán és egyenesen beszél. Attenborough élete és tevékenysége a bizonyíték maga: az ön-reflektív tudat valódi transzformatív erő. És mi is ilyen lények vagyunk - a bioszféra történetében valószínűleg először -  tudatos gondolkodással bírunk. Segítségével talán még kihúzhatjuk magunkat a konzum mocsárból, és apránként újra gondolhatjuk a világot. Egyre inkább úgy tűnik, hogy sokat leszünk négy fal között idén télen, milyen jó hogy lesz mivel mulatni az időt. Szóval igyekszünk Sir, köszönjük a segítséget és maradunk tisztelettel! I have been reading András Feldmár's book Őszinteség (Honesty) yesterday and I was wondering.

He says that type 'A' is more honest with strangers - even to the point of rudeness -, because they doesn't care about them, and more tactful ( polite/considerate?) with their loved ones, for that exact reason that they cares for them and donesn't want to hurt them with the truth.

On the onther hand, type 'B' is more honest with their loved ones because who you should be honest with if not the closest persons to your heart...? If you really love someone, you have to be honest with them, even if telling and hearing that truth is painful... as white lie and any tactfullness would be a disservice and plain disrespect towards them. It is important to not to have any misunderstanding and secret between you, so you won't be anything else but honest with them. With strangers, however, they is polite because there is no need to show them this respect, as they doesn't give a fuck about them.

[There is also type 'C' and 'D' of course... 'C' is always honest (like Javert* :3) and 'D' is always polite (like every Englishmen I guess, which is as admirable as annoying, but this is another story :D)]

So, I was wondering, which type might be the majority? If you feel so, send a comment with your type, or your thoughts about this.

* I could not help but think of Javert at this part, because the only time he lied was to Valjean, before his suicide, about waiting for him to return. So, if it was out of caring, than is he turning into a mild type 'A' there? Or just didn’t want to be stopped?

There may be the semblance of a close relationship between parent and child, but in reality the child’s individuation is hindered, as he grows up feeling automatically responsible for the parent’s feeling states. Later the child will harbor a sense of responsibility for the whole world.
