Name and whatever you want to share about yourself

Hey! My name is Alessandra (I'm Italian); you can call me Ale, Alex, Alexa, or just Giandra (my nickname); my pronouns are she/her. I'm 22 years old, I'm bisexual (no matter what your gender is, I'm gay for you) and aromantic.

Creative writing is my biggest passion. I also love reading and watching all sorts of stuff. Storytelling and character writing will always be my favorite thing to study.

I really care about social topics such as feminism, the LGBTQIA+ community, racism and poc communities cultures and issues, ableism and disabilities (right now, I'm specifically discovering the world of neurodivergences, as I suspect I may be ADHD), classism and all things related to these matters.

No judgment over fictional tastes will ever come from this account; however, you will be judged, and blocked, the moment I see you discriminate someone else, may it be over fandoms issues or real life issues.

When did you watch bad buddy/join the fandom?

July 28-30th, 2022. I watched the first five episodes in one go (in one night!) and then watched the next seven in the next few days (I had to study in between, or I would have binged it in less than 48 hours).

I joined the fandom pretty much immediately? The moment I watch or read something, the first thing I do is going on Tumblr to search for content and other people's reactions. So I entered the Bad Buddy fandom as soon as (actually, even before) I finished watching the show.

Favorite ship(s)

PatPran. Pat and Pran are my 2nd favorite otp between ALL the otps I've ever had (and I've been a professional shipper since I was, like, ten years old).

I love InkPa too, though. They're so soft and amazing and I love them as individual characters. If PatPran weren't in the show, or if they had been written and/or played differently, InkPa would have stolen all my attention, to be honest.

Favorite character(s)

Pran. I don't have enough energy to elaborate right now; it couldn't be anyone else but him.

Favorite episode(s)

Episode 5 and episode 11, but to be honest I love pretty much all the episodes immensely. I guess my other faves are episode 8 and episode 4.

Favorite scene(s)

My favorite scene in the entire show is the rooftop kiss in episode 5, but my favorite PatPran moment is the balcony scene in episode 8.

One thing you would change about the show if you could

Oh, well. I would definetely have the whole Wai-curtain drop thing be handled differently. I love Wai! And I think that what he did was totally IC (and Bad Buddy being set in a universe without homophobia doesn't make it as bad as it could have been otherwise), but I think the narrative needed to be more clear about who was at fault there (definitely not Pran).

I wanted Ink and Pa to kiss. They deserved it.

I wanted tongue (or at least... Idk... open mouths?) in PatPran's beach kiss. (I wanted the scene where Pran bit Pat's lip that was filmed but that they chose not to have in the actual show; what a shame.)

I wish they didn't add the cringey, unrealistic crime subplot in ep9; like, I'm even okay with Pat getting shot, but everything that followed should have been handled differently.

What are some of your favorite fanworks made by other people?

Oh, God. This is hard.

FAN FICTIONS

Just to be fair, I'm going to link my AO3 bookmarks page, because all the stories I bookmarked are amazing and they deserve to be here. I'll try listing a proper top 5, but I'll be definitely forgetting a lot of amazing fan fictions, not to mention I'm currently trying to read all Bad Buddy's fics starting from the very bottom of the AO3 section, so my bookmark page will be updated constantly.

FANARTS

There are countless amazing fanarts of Pat and Pran, but my favorite BB artist is probably @hereforlou, because her style is just too cute to be true and her portrayal of the characters is always so IC.

(If you create fanworks) What are your favorite fanworks that you’ve made?

I made five video edits focused on Bad Buddy, but I don't really like any of them, except maybe this one, which is some sort of tribute I made to the show as a whole.

I made tons of mep parts focused on Bad Buddy/which included Bad Buddy; I made more than 100 parts since I've started video editing about two years ago, and at least 60 of these have something related to BB in them; the point is that I only really like few of them. One day I will upload a collection with just my favorite parts and I'll get back here to link it.

I wrote five PatPran fan fictions in English (although I only actually like three of them) and five PatPran fan fictions in Italian. My favorite in English is I wish I were her; I'm kinda proud of this one, to be honest!

A song that makes you think of bbs (the ones in the show don’t count lol)

I PatPrannize every song I listen to... literally so many songs have me screaming 'Oh my God, this song was written for them!'.

Some classic forbidden love songs like Rewrite the stars or Secret love song, one that's super sweet and I think captures PatPran's spirit a lot is also Enchanted, then you have Angel, baby which also fits them a lot, Exile is also very PatPran coded, a lot of angsty songs are made for them, in all honesty.

Idk anything else you want us to know?

Yes: I've been obsessed about Bad Buddy since the day I watched it for the first time and have never been able to recover since then. Also: I loved the OS2 special episodes.

And I've also learned a pretty important lesson.

Other people like other ships, like Brookenji and Benmina. Those two ships are my least favorite, I don't like them, at all, but it does not invalidate those who do. So I shouldn't judge and be angry with those people for liking those ships.

I'll focus my energy instead on the homophobia and transphobia, as part of the LGBTQIA community myself 💛🤍💜🖤, and continue to sail this wonderful ship between the two best girls in the entire Jurassic franchise.

To anyone who may be following me, to any of my mutuals who happen to see this,

I've posted a few articles about Iran, because I've become increasingly concerned about the situation over there. There was legislature proposed last July about a permanent internet shutdown, and as feared, it really looks like the Islamic Republic of Iran has since pushed it into law, or they're about to, despite having many Iranian citizens opposed to it.

There have been many protests in Iran over the insane increases made to prices of food products such as wheat and dairy, going far back since the beginning of May up til now, and not only has the government shut down the internet entirely during those weeks, but it's also been "cracking down" - as in, beating protesters on the street, throwing tear gas at them, and even opening fire at them (gun shots were heard).

And the internet shutdowns make it nearly impossible for Iranians to post videos documenting this on social media, and expose the regime's corruption and abuse of power. Their internet is heavily monitored by the govt. - certain websites are outright banned (such as Tumblr). They're not allowed to post their own opinions, or anything pro LGBTQIA, let alone even the slightest criticism of the regime, and the punishments they face for doing so are extremely severe. Against-human-rights-level-of-severe. As of now, these people are literally being silenced.

Before I continue, I just want to state that I don't know everything that's happening over there, far from it in fact - this is just from what I've read, and I might even have gotten a few details wrong. It's why I've been posting links to various articles, because I'd rather not have people solely take my very limited knowledge on the situation. If you can, please read some of the articles I've posted, or look into Iranian current news on your own.

If anyone is wondering about why I'm writing about something happening across the world from where I live: well, for one, this is something we should all probably get into the habit of doing, if only because Iranian people deserve our attention. So many posts were made about Ukraine and the devastating war over there, and rightly so, but Iranians are no less important than Ukrainians, and what's being done to them by their own government is genuinely horrific. Awareness needs to be brought to what's happening in Iran right now, we all should be spreading this as much as we can.

But another reason why I'm writing this is because... I know there have been many Iranians who have used Tumblr. Despite the regime's control, despite the banning of this site and many others. Iranian people have been on Tumblr, have been within our fandoms. Have played a huge part in those fandoms. There's a high chance you're following an Iranian person's blog right now, or are even mutuals with some. There are Iranian people who have posted beautiful fan art and written deep, poignant fanfiction. Iranian people who have written the most insightful meta of your favorite movies, shows, and characters that you've ever read. You're probably subscribed to them on AO3. And if you're like me - you've probably befriended them.

Which brings me to the heart of why I'm writing this at 2 am in the morning - bc they're not just random people on the other side of the globe - they're our friends! They're our favorite writers, and artists, and even outside of fandom, there's a chance you may have interacted with them, joked with them, sent them asks, shared shit posts and memes with each other. There's a high chance you know an Iranian person on this site, and you may have even noticed that they haven't posted in a while.

Because they can't. Because they're literally being silenced right now.

And what's the point of being on this site, what's the point of befriending all of these amazing people if we aren't even going to... make an effort to see how they're actually doing? To spread awareness to the infuriating injustices they're facing right now? Bring a light to all of the horrible things this damned regime is doing to them? Especially when they are literally being forcefully prevented from doing so at this time. We can't just ignore them now, while they're being silenced by a totalitarian regime.

And tbh... I'm not sure if this will actually impact anything in the end. I don't know if this will actually help them, I don't know if spreading the word will even do anything. I'm almost afraid that it might not. But it's the least we can do. Instead of just remaining blissfully ignorant, or worse - apathetically shrugging it off and just going about our day. We should at least try... we owe it to them to at least try, if nothing else.

We owe it to the people of Iran.

We owe it to our friends.

Pride+ is your new year-round home for all things LGBTQIA+ on Tumblr. Last year, we launched a blog to celebrate the overwhelmingly high likelihood of folks on Tumblr identifying as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Our intentions were good, but some of you were upset by our use of a term that you aren't comfortable with. We heard you loud and clear.

Hi everyone!  I’m opening up my schedule in mid-January to host a D&D 3.5 Ravenloft mini campaign over discord and roll20!   At least 2 to 3 sessions of good fantasy horror fun!  If you’re interested, please reach out by joining our discord or DM me here on Tumblr or Twitter!

Classic Sword & Sorcery Ravenloft is my all-time favorite setting ever, and I have been super interested to host something for a long time.  If you are interested look below for all the basic details:

System: Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 edition.  (If you are familiar with Pathfinder 1st edition this is the system it’s based on.)  

I will be implementing the setting’s unique mechanics, such as Fear, Horror and Madness; as well as Outsider Ratings and Dark Powers checks!  Character deaths may be a thing that happens, just fyi!

Character Level: ECL 6

Will host a character creation session as well, which could include a Tarokka backstory generation!

Setting: the Demiplane of Dread, Ravenloft!  Specifically, this campaign will take place in the dread domain of Dementlieu, in the metropolis of Port-a-Lucine!

Dementlieu is beautiful and serene domain of rolling hills and fertile vineyards, coastal hamlets and great cities of fashion, the arts and culture.  It’s a very influential place within the Core of Ravenloft’s domains for its culture, very reminiscent of Renaissance-meets-pre-Revolutionary France.    

Session Dates/Times:  Still figuring that out, but it’ll be based around California PST timezone.  In the meantime if you are interested please join the Aboleth-Eye Discord for updates!

If I hear back from a bunch of people, we’ll hammer out the details starting in January over discord!  Anyone is invited to join the discord anyway--we talk tabletop games, share memes and music, etc.  Very chill community, LGBTQIA+ friendly!

ummm like i said i don't really have a ~style but in the cooler months i like to wear these wide-legged overalls and funky sneakers?? my favorite ~recent outfit was my 8123 day fit: a sparkly top, black shorts, a black sparkly cowboy hat, and my crandals (croc sandals) bc it's fun and silly

( Event Overview --- Prompt List )

How to play the game:

Take a look at our prompt list and create something (anything you want!)  using our prompts as a inspiration.

Creations must be related to Interactive Fiction -- but we’re not limiting which Interactive Fiction is allowed. You can share creations for any of your favorite IFs.

You can enter any creation you like in the event so long as it’s related to our prompts. Whether it’s a moodboard, meme, fanfic, fanart....etc.

Each prompt corresponds to a different day, but, if on any particular day, you’re not feeling our prompts, we have 5 bonus prompts you can swap in on any day you want.

When using a bonus prompt, please don’t forget to mention in your post which day you’re swapping out so we can categorize it on our blog under the correct day.

Don’t worry if you submit a prompt a day or few days late. So long as it’s submitted during our event, we’ll happily accept it. Just make sure to mention in the post what day you’re submitting for.

Post your creations on your blog and tag us @interactivesummer​ or tag your post with #interactivesummer (or both if you like) so we can know that your post is related to our event.

You don’t have to submit creations for every single prompt. Just enjoy the process and you’re welcome even if you’re only able to submit 1 creation.

What not to submit.

As we’d like to keep this event as welcoming as possible, we will not be allowing 18+ content. If you’re inspired to create NSFW content using our prompts, feel free, but we’d like to kindly request that you not to use our tag #interactivesummer in order to keep the space safe for minors

Do not share any triggering or upsetting content without properly using content warnings. Furthermore, we will not be sharing or accepting submissions that contain any graphic and upsetting content. (i.e. explicitly depicted traumatic situations or gore)

We will not accept creations which depict any form of abuse in a positive or romanticized way. However, submissions may still touch upon themes of abuse so long as it is not glorified (and it is properly warned for to protect others who may come across it).

We don’t allow creations which are blatantly offensive or disrespectful. And we will not share it. This includes:

-- Whitewashing in all its forms. If you are depicting a person of color please properly research how to accurately depict their skin tone and features. -- Content which is discriminatory or upsetting to racial / ethnic / religious groups. This includes, but is not limited to: fetishization, orientalism, all forms of racism against PoC, islamophobia, antisemitism...etc. -- Content which is discriminatory, exclusionary, or insensitive towards members of the LGBTQIA+ community. This includes, but is not limited to: homophobia, biphobia, panphobia, aphobia, transphobia, intersexism, nonbinary exclusion, gender essentialism...etc. -- Content which is discriminatory, exclusionary, or insensitive towards neurodivergent or physically disabled people.

If you are unsure about whether a submission would be accepted or not, feel free to get in touch with us. While our mods may not be experts on every single topic, we will always try and point you in the right direction.

Our mods are also not infallible and we may not be familiar with every character of every IF being shared, so if you feel we may have shared any harmful creations, please feel free to send us an ask specifying the url of the post and our mods will take action.

The question on your mind has to be, but who are you? Well, let me answer your question with a question. Did I forget the "by" line? No, I'm really asking. Anyway.

I'm Z.D. Burkit. Z for short. I've been a hobbyist writer for 25 years. Now, I'm a Copywriter. Can you tell? -covers my username with my hand- So, I figured I'd introduce myself. As I said, I've been writing for 25 years. However, I haven't published anything other than crappy fanfiction on fanfiction.net. Assuming that website still exists. Like a blacksmith at their* forge, I've learned much about writing, honing my craft(we'll get there.* <--pun). As the name suggests, I'll mostly be posting Copywriting Memes. Sometimes it'll just be the meme. Other times I might share why I like it and any insights I gleaned from it. I'll also post regular blogs and the occasional short story. Now it's time to address the elephant in the refrigerator.

I am Non-binary. No, I won't bring this up unless I need to. Nor do I care what pronouns you use. They, he, she, or neo-pronouns are all fine. I'll leave that up to you. I should also say I am Pansexual and engaged. As I get more comfortable, I'll give more details. One final thing, I have ADHD. Since this is my first post, I think I'll leave the housekeeping there. This seems like a good time to get the elephant out of my now-destroyed fridge. -sigh- 

Some more Things about Me:

I'm fascinated by fungi. I guess you can call me an amateur mycologist. Mushrooms, lichens, and all fungi are mesmerizing. I'm working on a story about super-powered teens living in 2100. The Golden Trio in my novel are LGBTQIA+ and Neurodiverse characters. River, the MC, is a Genderfluid Pansexual shapeshifter. One of their best friends is an AMAB non-binary gay person. The other is a cis-gendered bisexual guy. I promise River is not a self-insert. You'll come to know that as I add more to this blog. I am a big-ol' nerd. As evidenced by my near-comprehensive knowledge of the Camp Half-Blood Chronicles. Feel free to test me. I'm also well-versed in Destiny and Gear of War lore. Despite not owning any, I have a growing appreciation for excellent watches. They're just cool. Although I'm no car expert, that's what we call an understatement, kids; I do enjoy rewatching episodes of The Grand Tour. While we're on shows, I'm constantly binging Start Trek DS9. It's my comfort show. I aspire to one day get a Private Pilot's license. And yet, I've never flown. I've never even seen the inside of a plane that was about to take off—just a few at an aviation museum. While we're on the topic, one of my favorite podcasts is Black Box Down; it's all about aviation disasters. Listen to it if you're afraid to fly like I was. You'll realize just how rare these things are. Not only that, but the steps taken to prevent them from happening again. Not a spon. I have no sponsorships. I'm an anime fan, shocking, I know. And I'm clearly a fan of italics. And, like David Tannat's Doctor, I can ramble when I get going, can't I? Here are a couple of rapid-fire facts about me.

I practice lockpicking as a hobby - Scrolling through TikTok, I came across a guy called McNallyOffical, who made it look like a lot of fun. So, I bought a cheap lockpicking kit of off; I'll call it the Everything Store and a cheap (read Master Lock) lock. As soon as it arrived, I stared with the clear practice lock, and once I stopped pretending I was in Skyrim, I got it on my second try. Now that little clink sound of the shackle popping is just uggh. -chief's kiss-

I'm 420-friendly - That one speaks for itself. 

I'm an ex-Atheist - I'll admit this is partially due to the anger I felt when I had to deal with any religious or spiritual things that wasn't good for my mental health. So I took a step back from the community and soon found I wasn't angry more often than not. I still respect and listen to many Atheists like Penn Jillette and his business partner, Mr. Teller. Jillette's book God No! is still a personal favorite. The anger made me decide to believe in all gods or none. I have an answer to the ontological question do you believe in god? I believe in every god. I'll delve into that later.

I do believe Science - Despite believing in spiritual things, I am an avid proponent and communicator of Science. No Flearth or anti-vax nonsese here. One spiritual practice I reject is holistic crap and other snake oil. Crystals are pretty, but they can't heal shit IRL. 

This one should be obvious - I'm someone you can come to if you're LGBTQIA+ and you need to talk. 

I have depression, anxiety, and ADHD - I'm very open and vocal about my, and mental health in general. It's important, and you are too. Never forget that.
