So Percy Jackson trailer has me brainrotting again so I decided it is once again time for me to throw my Riordanverse playlists out onto the aether because like,,, I think about them too much they consume so much of my brain at all times-
Going back to my roots as a fandom playlist maker with my first Good Omens playlist! Quiet, gentle and romantic songs to play in the A.Z. Fell and Co. bookshop. Please listen in order! The order tells the story of our angel and demon, and the acts are pockets of songs that belong together. Song narratives are from both Aziraphale and Crowley's pov.
Listen Here
@zutaraweek day 6, forge: it's 1994. you are at a party. and then you see a girl. and your soul remembers something: listen here (17 songs, 1 hour 9 minutes)
i've been thinking a lot about older internet. namely, old 8tracks playlists. and i thought it'd be fun to harvest a little of that nostalgia to make an old school fandom playlist meant to be listened to in order with a storyline and annotations!
song list with links and annotations under the cut (and if you liked this one, you can check out my longer zk playlist here)
~House of Metal by Chelsea Wolfe (You put your love inside the metal/You build the metal for your house): Tui and La. Moon and Ocean. Yin and yang. An eternal dance.
~Here She Comes by Slowdive (It's so lonely in this place): It’s 1994. He’s at a party. He doesn’t want to be. He looks up. And there she is.
~Home Soon by Vagabon (I’ll be home soon): Something remembers.
~Cinnamon by Jome (It’s a slow cinnamon summer/Your spell is pulling me under): It’s the last year of the 100 year war. The summer air is thick. Her smile’s the same. And something is happening that's far too sweet as they tumble towards the end of the world.
~First Light by Hozier (Could this be how every day begins?): A realization. A secret. A wish.
~Flaws by Daughter: She holds him after the lighting tore through him, after she saved him, as they watch the sky turn blue. What do you say after that? Besides what you want to, of course.
~Neptune by Sleeping at Last (I'm only honest when it rains/If I time it right, the thunder breaks/When I open my mouth/I wanna love you but I don’t know how): A realization. A horror. A little dream.
~Country Rain by Slowdive (I know I shouldn’t care/But I wish you were mine): They part. Not for the first time. Not for the last time.
~Spanish Sahara by Foals (I’m the ghost in the back of your head): Even after years, that summer won’t let go. Even after the years, she's as familiar as breathing.
~Lullabies by Yuna (Though you weren’t mine/You were my first love): A confession. A soft one.
~Fire in the Water by Feist (Nobody should see this/The freeness of the light): Knowledge that is learned cannot be unlearned. But things are seldom simple for them. It's never been simple for them.
~Cherry Tree by The National (Can we show/A little discipline?): What do we do with it? What have we ever done with it? The tangle of their lives, ever so complicated, and ever so woven. Maybe it's dangerous.
~Earth by Sleeping at Last (But I put it out of my mind/Long enough to call it courage): Wrong place, wrong time. That’s what it is.
~Good Day Sunshine by Slowdive: It’s 1994-It’s the dawn of time-It’s the 100 years war-It’s a cave between two cities-It’s-It’s-It’s-
~Samson by Regina Spektor (I loved you first/I loved you first): At least they’ll know. In the knot of his scar. In the tips of her fingers. In the glances, the letters, the comfortable silences side by side. At least they’ll know.
~Welcome Home (Reprise) by Radical Face: Maybe…maybe. Maybe now.
~When the Sun Hits by Slowdive (As the sun hits, she’ll be waiting/With her cool things and her heaven/Hey hey, lover, you still burn me/You’re a sun): It’s 1994. She’s at a party. She doesn’t want to be. She looks up. And there he is.

heya! was wondering if you have any songs you connect with john/dios apate. 💕
OH. YES. Sorry (not) to be basic, but No Children is THE Dios Apate song of all time. Here's a post about TMG lyrics that are Dios Apate core to me
Some off the top of my head: Wasteland, Baby (Hozier) / Demons (The National) / Frankenstein (Rina Sawayama) / Kiss Me Son of God (TMBG) / The Man Who Sold The World (Midge Ure version) - all of these are youtube links
If you do spotify, here are some public playlists crowdsourced from my TLT buddies
Playlists are my love language, and I have a Hello from the Hallowoods playlist that I maintain like an award winning vegetable garden. I’ve found a few other playlists on Spotify for this podcast and whenever I look through them, I have this moment of “they didn’t put in [insert song by The Amazing Devil] how dare they” before remembering that this person’s music taste is not extensive. And then I remember that my own music taste is not extensive and there are plenty of hfth coded songs out there that I couldn’t even imagine.
so I am simply requesting for you, dear reader, to give me a couple songs that make you think of Hello from the Hallowoods, and I might add them to my playlist.
Thank you and remember- fandoms don’t keep potential character anthems from each other.
This isn’t like my usual stuff but i actually really enjoy making fandom playlists and. IVE SEEN A LOT OF REALLY POORLY CREATED FAN PLAYLISTS IN MY DAYS… PLEASE CONSIDER LISTENING TO THIS ONE THAT I ABSOLUTELY SLAYED AND ATE WITH.
- johnnys playlist. A mix of songs that released before august 1973. Songs I think Johnny would listen to that also fit the little info we know about this killer.
Got a tape recorder for Christmas and I finally recorded my Magnus Archives playlist in time for Protocol to come out tomorrow :)
[Video description: A black tape recorder sits on a white tabletop in the sun. The tape that's loaded is labeled, in small handwriting, "Magnus Archives Playlist: S1 - Postcanon". A hand comes into view and presses down the "play" button. The tape starts to spin, and a song starts. The lyrics are:
"He'll laugh and say that he can't sleep/And he don't know the reason why/Maybe it's the evil eye/Oh, that awful evil eye/Remember how he used to hold you close/Now in the middle of the night/Oh, the evil eye/Oh, that awful evil eye/Someone must really have it in for him/The way they're stickin' him with pins..."
The song goes into an instrumental section, and the hand returns and presses the "stop/eject" button.]
Say It, Loser: A Griddlehark Playlist That Goes a Little Hard
Hello I am sharing this little beast that’s been rattling around my head for a while!! I listen to metal and punk rock almost exclusively and am also a gay nerd so I kept stumbling across stuff that follows their dynamic chronologically through the first two books (and then there’s a “bonus” at the end). Gorgeous cover art by @softbrambles used with permission.
Tracklist and favourite lyrics below!
1. Death To All But Us! | Blood Command
Now we have to do what I say
Go where I may or be gone
2. Big Shot | IRONTOM
I want your fingerprints all over me
Cause if they find me dead they should know who it be
3. Do What You Want | Electric Enemy
Galvanisе every part of me whеnever you want
You're going to do what you want
4. Wake the Dead | Fit For Rivals
Wake the dead, it's time to break down
Follow me until, until we waste away
5. Stunner | World War Me (this is my peak griddlehark song, i could put literally every line here)
Yeah, I'm a bit of a psycho baby I'm my own worst enemy
You keep me lit like a lightbulb feeding off the pain and misery
Cause' you were a bad bitch I was a savage
Livin' off our own extremities
So wе tick like a time bomb set to dеtonate eventually
Little did I know you were gonna get the best of me
Goddamn!
6. Unspun | Jackie
It might be suicide
To mix your blood and mine
But call me crazy
I feel it lately
You’re my new favourite thing
7. Misery | Dope, Drama Club
I'd kill myself or anyone else for you
8. Blind and Frozen | Beast in Black
God, I miss you like hell
I was wrong, I can tell
For the heart can be blind and frozen
9. Trust Fall | Pinkshift
I dug a deep hole to bury you, oh
10. Liar | Papa Roach
Take my secrets down to the water
'Cause I can't keep them down any longer
I swear to God but he knows that I'm lying
Liar, liar your world's on fire
11. Talk to Me | Scarlett O’Hara
Are you still around?
I can feel the air getting heavy
I’ll sit on the ground
Beside your hollow soul
Sharing your world but
I get the feeling that you got nowhere to go
Losing the fight inside, locked inside your mind
12. Cynosure | In Flames
Who’s at the wheel?
Say a word, say anything, I will be healed
Who’s at the wheel?
Say a word, say something that will make it real
13. Back From the Dead | Royal Republic
You, you can bring me back from the dead
You just gotta use your pretty head
*BONUS Kiriona song because NtN brought the pain:
14. Exit Wound | Otherwise
I'm not thinking this through
Living my life like an exit wound
Blow back, blown out
Throwback, thrown out
No more scars left to hide
Thrill is gone, still in the firefight
Listening to two season 5 era Nygmobblepot playlists I put together that, while very catchy and grounded in a love story I hold dear, are far from joyful. Particularly Ed's which is post-5x11, where he knows he has BIG feelings, but feels clotheslined by his actions in season 3. "That" is not something he can ask for from Oswald, so he's settling for staying in his orbit and keeping the knives out of his back.
i'm getting sentimental over you (tommy dorsey and his orchestra)
you don't know what love is (chet baker)

april fools (rufus wainwright)

(what can i say) after i say i'm sorry (dinah shore)

they didn't believe me (dinah shore)
i'll call you mine (the zombies)

i'm not okay (i promise) (robyn adele anderson)
just a gigolo (louis prima)
show me the way to go home (irving king)
keep yourself alive (queen)
the way you say goodnight (magnetic fields)

And Oswald’s bridges the end of season 4, when he finds Ed’s dead body and goes through the standard Penguin ‘stages of grief’ in early season 5: try to stop feeling and make the world eat shit. All of which lands him squarely in the middle of the Haven crisis and, shortly after, Pena Dura: staggered by senseless death and how much Ed still doesn’t understand.
suffragette city (david bowie)

Because. As much as I love a renewed accord awakening new passion... I need them both to do a melancholy conga line of raw suffering until someone forces them to talk it out at knifepoint.
This is for the TGCF fandom also known as the Heaven Official's Blessing fandom. Hopefully you all enjoy. If you have any suggestions for the playlist feel free to tell me. Also my Spotify is linked in my bio if you want to go to the playlists that way.
