pretend that you are much more important than you believe you are. act like you are worth more than you think you are. pretend that you already have the respect and admiration of everyone in the room and assume you are highly valued for your skills and personality.
you have the privilege of being able to decide who you are. simply just DECIDE you are who you want to be. the power is in your hands, and it's up to how YOU perceive yourself, not how others perceive you. it is not up to others to decide who you are. you decide and if you decide you are an extremely important person with very high standards and high goals, you automatically become it.
Extraordinarily disappointed that there seems to be no fandom on Tumblr for literally the BEST CURRENTLY AIRING het romance drama -- Fake It Till You Make It (Viki). I am hooked. Seated. Dying for every episode and swimming in the sexual and romantic tension between the leads. (A downright surprising feat for a show from Mainland China. I've only liked maybe 3 or 4 out of the dozens I've given a shot.)
This drama is so mature and well-written and the chemistry between the leads is 🔥🔥🔥.
Listen. I admit the first episode was slow-ish in the way it took so much time to set up the characters and start fleshing them out, but by episode 3 I was completely sold. Every single character feels like a real person!! Even random side characters.
We are 8 episodes into a 14 episode drama and at least half of the MDL synopsis has not come to pass, but I don't care. I even only started watching because I thought the synopsis, which mentions my beloved Fake Dating trope, was the setup. So far there is no fake dating in sight... And YET. I LITERALLY DO NOT CARE because the story I am getting is FEEDING ME and I need hours after every episode to CHILL THE FUCK OUT.
This batshit couple friendzoned each other so freaking fast, but did it in the most romantic way possible with expensive AF "friendship" couple rings to boot. The push and pull is exquisite. Perfection. Chef's kiss. They want to eat each other for dinner AND dessert but constantly choose not to because of other life priorities and fears. They are disarmingly honest and vulnerable with each other in the kind of naturally intimate way you only get to experience once or possibly twice in a lifetime. And they are both so drop dead gorgeous it sometimes hurts my middle aged bisexual eyes to even look at them. I am constantly having laughs startled out of me by their snappy banter, and I FEEL their drive to succeed and subsequent loneliness like a punch to my gut.
I am OBSESSED and I NEED some of you to fall down this hole with me.

ETA: here's a brilliant fanvid highlighting their sexual and romantic tension through episode 7
