Fantasy sights: Paton
Next on our list, the Scottish 19th century painter Joseph Noel Paton.
He became very famous for his set of paintings illustrating Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream.
The Quarrel of Oberon and Titania...
The Reconciliation of Oberon and Titania...
Oberon and the Mermaid...
Puck and Fairies...
(I am really sad that for the first two I cannot include a full-size version of the paintings, because the amount of little details in these pieces is WONDERFUL if you can ever check it up close, don't hesitate)
Paton is often included among the Pre-Raphaelites, given his style is very similar to theirs, though he actually declined and refused to be part of their brotherhood. But their common interested for the Arthurian legends shows up in a few of his pieces, such as:
... Sir Galahad
... How an angel rowed sir Galahad across the Dern Mere
... Sir Galahad and the Angel
Other fantasy pieces of Paton include his "The Fairy Raid : Carrying Off a Changeling - Midsummer Eve"
"Oskold and the Elf-maids"
And "Cymocles Discovered by Atis in the Bowre of Bliss" (from Spencer's Faerie Queene, Book II, chapter V"

Fairy Acrylic Painting
More acrylic painting I did this afternoon, and it's a fairy! 🧚♀️
And yes, the fairy doesn't seem what I wanted it to look like, but however, I believe this is looking good. The orange paint was dripping, so I decided to give this lovely fairy the longest hair lol. The background and everything else wasn't so bad, the skin was the worst >_<
And yes, I was a mess afterwards. I had to clean up after completing this painting, and my hands, shoes and feet were DIRTY :p. After cleaning everything up, I had to clean my shoes, which was difficult and I had to clean my feet from all the water. It was a total mess agghhhhhh
(well that's probably the point of painting, getting messy eheheheheh)
I also had paint on my fingers and thumb, and cleaned them off, and had cupcakes for a little treat after my hard work on this, hehe ;3
I should get more canvases (and maybe my own painting supplies) to do more acrylic painting on my own ^^. This was done on my own after having my dad help me with the rose painting, and this was actually not my best try, but more fun!
What y'all think?

you find a strange friend in the woods, do you follow him?

Please Interact With this post IF;
This blog used to be where I did a lot of my growth as a witch & as an artist. I have been thinking of returning to this platform because I feel I’ve cultivated a community here and then left…. It wasn’t for lack of interest, just personal things.
Interact with this post in some way shape or form so I can gauge how much life is still on this blog.
Why would you return to a blog that’s been inactive for years?
I worked hard to grow this platform and I regret not staying. If this blog is still beating and rhythm, no matter how slow or quiet, I want to breathe life back into it.
There will be;
Revival of Witchcraft Posts
Updates on my novel
Updates on art and my creative journey.
Daily updates on life and figuring myself out again.
Tarot readings
And more. ♥️
Please enjoy this quick watercolor I did while experimenting with watercolor

Sleepy stretch! With this fairy I tried doing some single layer digital painting. I'm not great at it, nor do I particularly enjoy it, but it's good to get outside my comfort zone. And I admire those who can do it well.
