as Daphne will be the only nymph in her version, will she be seen more important by others than the winxs due to her title? In the original series I was disappointed when she came back to life and being a nymph seemed to have become an empty title

Daphne is definitely seen as more important due to her status as crown princess of domino, her old title of guardian fairy and her title of nymph

But in my version the title of nymph was assigned to her due to her curse and social status

She’s titles the nymph of domino because of her beauty but also due to her strong connection to the dragonflame.

She wasn’t social but she was strong minded. A lot of guys actually feared her in ways so even though she’s pretty and a CROWN PRINCESS she wasn’t popular among people.

People praised her but no one really wanted to be close to her

And that’s why she gained the nymph title both a symbolism of her power & divinity but also a symbol of her isolation

The new ruling lady Minisa Tarth intends to marry the Stormlander lord with the most influence - the Lord Paramount. It seems the nobles aren't happy with the rule of the Dragons and wish for more power. I can't blame them, with the shady way the Targaryens snatched up lands that don't belong to them.

A soft sigh escaped from the lips of Auntie Mayya. One of disappointment, upon looking at the piece of news she had received upon the parchment. Why was it Ser Falcon seemed to receive the most notorious of news?

"The Lord Paramount of the Stormlands is a member of the Dragon Queen's council. That is hardly in open rebellion against the Targaryens that grip them by the throat. Minisa of Tarth is a girl who considers herself more fairy than human, as though she remains a girl of two and ten. She will do not be rebelling against the people she threw her own brother to dragonflame to serve. To be stepped on., like the mouse she appears."

"As for the Lord Paramount, he is quite off, is he not? The only thing paramount to the imbecile are his rocks. Such is the strength of the Stormlands - how the stags would weep in their graves. How us Dornish would dance on those graves."

There was a slight pause, as the woman turned to mutter something to the pageboy sat beside her, gently patting his cheek. "How do these Andal rulers operate, anyway? How is it she is a Lady in Waiting, and somehow deals with the responsibilities of being the Ruling Lady of Tarth?"

Previous post about Farah’s age makes me wonder....how long a lifespan do fairies in this universe have, anyway? I mean, if that really is Bloom’s birthmother at the end of s2 then she’s over a thousand years old...That could be explained by the dragonflame and being in another dimension, I guess, but what’s the standard for other fairies? I need this established.

Prompt: Unconventional Restraints

Fandom: Winx Club

Previously on: Bloom is the main character, Selena is the big bad of this season, everyone has magic but if you're good you're a fairy and if you're bad you're a witch. No it doesn't make sense if you think about it too much.

Warnings: herpetophobia, restraints, canon-typical violence

Bloom was fending off an attack on a group of fairy students when she felt a sharp crackling pain in her back and screamed. The student fairies of Tir Na Nog school fled.

“Not so strong now Bloom, huh?”

Spectral green snakes formed over Selena’s arms and slid sinuously down, wrapping themselves around Bloom’s legs, then her chest, and then her arms. As she gasped for the breath to speak, the snakes tightened themselves around her chest, squeezing the air out of her lungs.

“Selena… why?”

“I need the dragonflame.”

Selena paused, watching Bloom writhe in pain at her feet, gasping for air. She’d wanted this ever since she’d started at Cloud Tower, since the moment she’d heard that Bloom was now a hero of the magical realms, had been raised human but was secretly the long lost Princess of Domino, and the heir to the Dragonflame, and went everywhere with her new best friends.

Bloom had been her only friend growing up, and then Bloom had left, leaving Selena to endure the bullies and her mom hating her [and her mom’s indifference] and everything alone.

The snakes tightened their grasp in Selena’s anger.

Selena grabbed the snakes and raised the fairy up in the air with magic-assisted strength, to slam her back against the wall. Bloom grunted. A soft glow of firelight started shimmering around the fairy, and Selena slammed her against the wall again.

“No you don’t!”

Bloom looked up at her, weak but angry.

“Make me.”

Selena flicked her fingers and the snake bit into Bloom’s shoulder, injecting its venom into her. The shimmer of Bloom’s magic faded as the venom started to take over, and Bloom stopped struggling, stopped moving at all.

For a moment Selena panicked, thinking she had killed her, but she could still feel the magic there, and dead fairies don’t have magic.

Selena laid Bloom on the floor, releasing the snakes to slither back into her arms, and laid her hands on Bloom’s chest to take the Dragonflame.

She pulled the Dragonflame out of Bloom’s body, pulling with her mind as well as her hands. It was easy; the Dragonflame burned bright and cleanly in her hand

The flame promptly dissapated from her hand, being absorbed by the Legendarium.

“Acheron, my only friend, now you are free.”

What are Marion and Oritel like in your version? I can imagine them with the Kate and Garret vibe from twilight where he says: if we survive this I'll follow you wherever you go and she: now that he tells me

Im so sorry i have never watched twilight 😅😅

Also I haven't worked on marion a lot yet but i have worked a lot on oritel

But oritel is very much a sweet dad.

He tries his best to give the girls room to grow but often feels like there's too much pressure on them

His connection with the dragonflame was very weak and so when daphne already exceeded his own power at the age of six. It left him worried

Ofcourse he was proud of her but he also knew that Daphne's abilities would be very isolating for her.

He tried his best to try and give her opportunities to grow and also socialise but to no help on the social aspect.

After Daphne gained her sirenix and risking her life for the second time. Oritel had it he decided to pull Daphne out of her position as guardian fairy. Not as punishment but at the time she was 17 he wanted her to have a life. A more normal life.

That was the first time he ever had an argument with daphne.

He decided to host a party for her 18th to once again try to help daphne build a social circle.

However people seemed to keep their distance from her

Oritel feels like he failed Daphne by not being strong enough himself and that also shows with how he treats bloom

Because even when Daphne finally gained a personal connection IT WAS WITH VALTOR out of everyone it was valtor

He tries a lot to be a good dad but his kids are far stronger than he could have imagined

He's proud of their accomplishments

He's proud of how great of a kid bloom became even if he couldn't be there to see her grow up

When he found out what happened to Daphne all he could do was apologize for not being able to protect her more

And when Daphne returned he tries his best to let her be herself and live the life she wants now that she's no longer the holder of the dragon flame

But he will probably worry over his kids for the rest of his life

Just because he wants them to be happy with their choices.

Bloomix time! (Aka the Dragonspark Transformation)

No, I don’t have all the other girls done yet, but this has been sitting in my folder for long enough for me to finally unveil it - before I decide again that I do not like it and attempt to change everything about it.

Bloomix in butterfly verse is created by Bloom in basically the span of an afternoon as a quick (and last resort) solution . In the conflict with the Trix and Selena, the Mythix wands lose their effectiveness against the witches when those in turn stop relying on the Legendarium. The Mythix wands were only functional against the beasts summoned because they too drew power from folklore and belief.

Still cursed to be unable to use their own magic, but with the Trix beleaguering Alfea, the Winx don’t really have another choice but to look for a new hackjob of a weapon. (At that point there is plenty of international attention on the situation, the Winx just can’t exactly chose to sit out the next round of combat It’s the downside of being famous). Guided by Saladin, Bloom meditates on the properties of the Dragonflame and manages to share it with her friends.

Though she is not a prodigy, her managing to create a brand new transformation is not actually the work of a single afternoon. Bloom has actually been first subconsciously, then consciously tweaking her Enchantix form, making it more battle resistant, starting from her final fight against Valtor at the end of S3.

Because Bloom’s Enchantix is so unconventional and arising form her sacrifice for the Dragonflame, the appearance and properties of the transformation are very malleable to her. Each little tweak manifested with a slight change of the design, until her form didn’t look much like Enchantix at all. (It is very much still Enchantix tho, as evident from the Fairy dust bottle she still has in all intermediate forms.) After Bloom splits the form apart and creates Bloomix, her Enchantix transformation optically reverts to its original appearance- She has a new transformation to fulfil the purpose she has been modding Enchantix for, after all. 

What abilities does the Dragonspark transformation confer?

For Bloom, nothing much changes, but the level of her power. The Dragonspark transformation temporarily splits the power of the Dragonflame into six, so it is a cooperative power. The more people use it at the same time, the less the power of an individual attack is. All six girls combined cannot evoke more magic than Bloom would be able to alone, so in Bloomix Bloom appears nerved compared to her very palpable advantage over the others in earlier fights.

Using all magic draws back on Bloom’s Favours account initially. The girls eventually learn how to contribute some of the core building favours they amass, but the first big fight is all on Bloom alone. (And it’s kinda damaging to her, but what can you do when you love your friends so much you want to give them back their magic powers at any cost?

Speaking of, just because the other girls can transform and use fairy powers again, that doesn’t mean they have their own magic back just yet. While in Bloomix, whatever spell they cast will manifest as if Bloom would have cast it, aka as fire magic. That works for some spells better than others. I.e Layla uses Morphix Whip for grabbing, while Bloom uses Fire Whip for cracking and the two applications don’t mesh. But Musa’s Sonar Flare works well as Dragon Roar. Flora’s Autumn Wind is doing an excellent job at wiping Stormy’s behind as Soot and Ash (which Bloom is especially impressed by, bc she didn’t know the Dragonflame could do that), plus all her healing spells have a mega boost. Stella experiences very few problems, trading celestial light for fire light. Tecna’s spells are the ones that translate worst in general btw
