I’m guessing you’re either non-American, or live in a small town or in a metropolis. Suburbs and rural areas need cars. And especially us who live in places with hot/humid summers and freezing winters. I can’t bike when it’s 80 F with a UV of 9. I can’t bike when it’s -10 F. It take a 20 min. drive at least to do most things. Walking or biking would take longer. It’s not possible everywhere. So I prefer cars in these particular areas. I do wish I could’ve been born in a small town somewhere where I could walk everywhere, but I wasn’t. And we need cars here. I wouldn’t risk heat stroke or hypothermia just because someone thinks cars are somehow evil. And I’m pretty sure they do not cause more pollution in the world than China or India. People complain about that, then maybe go and close those warehouses down and you’ll solve the vast majority of the pollution problem. In China in those areas they have to wear masks sometimes because the pollution is so bad. Like I understand places like California or Britain, where I see the ones saying these things most the time, could do all that since they barely have weather. Could be possible in those areas. But the whole world isn’t there. Rural places in other countries also do much better because cars exist. My family come from south of the states, and are from towns in the mountains in the middle of nowhere. They have small towns they can walk around, but need to drive if they need to get out and go to a city for medical care or for whatever. Sometimes they work in other areas. Cars are actually a decent invention. In places where it’s possible, maybe less car usage would be fine, but again that’s not everywhere.
this ask is funny because you yourself point out the problems that exist with car dependance. so first off—you guessed wrong. i'm from the suburban midatlantic region in the us, and i have lived in the same place my whole life. we have hot humid summers and freezing winters where i live... and i still hate cars with a burning passion. your point, to my understanding, is that in american suburbs + rural areas, it's impossible to get anywhere without a car, rendering cars necessary and bikes an unreliable mode of transportation. which is great, because we agree! that's... the exact thing that i hate. i hate that i need to get in a car to see any of my friends or go to the grocery store or get to school or go to the library or do literally anything. it's impossible to walk anywhere where i live, and it's inconvenient + unsafe to bike anywhere because i live in an area that has a lot of hills and doesn't have any designated bike paths. there aren't any buses that come to my area, and there aren't any reliable trains. this means that cars are literally the only way i can travel anywhere where i live, and i hate that. cars are unsafe and contribute to insane levels of pollution and climate change (which, from your message, you seem to disagree with and i'm not going to try and convince you on that point. it's a fact, let's move on).
the thing is that everything that you're saying... doesn't need to be the way that it is! cities and towns should be designed in such a way that if you want to drive somewhere, you can, but if you want to bike or take the bus or take the train or walk somewhere, those are also viable options for you. there are places in the world where entire countries are designed with pedestrians and non-car drivers in mind, and those people are perfectly happy with their lives. establishing designated bike lanes and bike paths, walkable neighborhoods, and affordable + well-connected train + bus routes are all things that can be done to reduce car reliance. you shouldn't need a car to get to a doctor, you shouldn't need a car to see friends, you shouldn't need cars to go grocery shopping, you shouldn't need cars to commute to work. things don't need to be this way.
i would recommend checking out the youtube channel not just bikes as a good starting point to learn about walkable + bikeable cities and pedestrian-centered infrastructure—specifically this video, this video and this video.

Surgery: Both the donor and the patient are admitted to the hospital days before the surgery for pre-surgery investigations. The transplantation procedure involves laparoscopic keyhole surgery to retrieve a well-functioning kidney from the donor. The new kidney is then placed inside the recipient's body, connected to the urinary bladder. The surgical team ensures that the circulation is established before closing the abdomen.
Postoperative Care: In cases where the patient's existing kidneys are causing harm, they may be removed during the surgery.

LOCATION: East India House. FEATURING: Andromeda Black. @andromedhs
Tumblr media
He made a point of avoiding Andromeda the second he stepped foot into the establishment. Knowing what he was walking into, he couldn’t imagine being seen with him would do her any favours. In fact, that’s precisely what he thought himself to be doing, a favour. Narcissa had sought him out after the misunderstanding in the paper, and that had been the result of a humble conversation. There was no scenario that he could imagine would benefit from him being in the picture. Not at a grand event such as the Summer Solstice, where his attendance was considered taboo from the very beginning. Given how concerned Narcissa had been, he could only assume the great importance of such a ball. He did not want to jeopardize anything for her, despite how much he loathed the underlying nature of the event.
But that didn’t mean his eyes would not search the room. It didn’t mean that he would not smile when he caught the smallest glimpse of her. She shun bright wherever she was, standing out in the crowd like a beacon of joyous light. This night was no different. It was in her eyes, he thought. Always her eyes. The same eyes that he could not bring himself to meet when he stood beside her, pouring himself a glass of their speciality medley at the punch stand. He had noticed her coming, and simply lowered his head as a means of discretion. Ted shuffled along with careful steps, the sole of his shoes softly dragging against the hard floor. “Do y’ ‘ave th’ faintest abou’ what’s meant t’ be in this stuff?” He began with quaint small talk, meant to nurture further conversation. “I could never tell y’. I’m clueless wi’ drinks, me.”

i think a common misconception with white filmakers making movies about cultures that don’t belong to them is that problem lies with making bad movies (innaccurate, fetishistic, etc) abou those cultures and not the fact they’re making a movie about things they don’t know in the first place. when someone criticises hollywood movies set in other countries (notably horrendous ones like lost in translation or darjeeling limited), the lesson to be learnt is that one shouldn’t make movies or write book about other cultures, not that you can’t make them with consulting “poc” (which is weird because in india, brown people are not “poc” as they are in america or europe, cause there are no white people lmao). i think it’s obvious once you note how it’s only white people or at most people from white countries who make movies about foreign cultures. if you’re a writer, let’s say from china, would you even think of writing a story about a schoolgirl from ecuador? even if you’ve been there or lived there, it’s still a risky and dicey move, and if you haven’t been there or have just read about the country in passing, it’s literally ridicudous. no matter how many ecuadorians you’ve consulted. idk as an indian i can’t even fathom doing something like that.
moreover, when hollywood makes a movie about my country, while i can criticise it for being racist or ignorant, i literally also don’t care. it doesn’t materially affect me, because i don’t expect anymore from a white person. they don’t even know what it means to not see us as the other, just like none of us know what it means to not see gender, much less what is means to make a feminist film. what i’m saying here is that we don’t need white people or anyone else making accurate movies about us, but that we don’t need them making that at all. not because it’ll affect me, but the act is racist in itself. if i want “brown” representation i’ll just take a look around, thanks.

poor people can do this to turn everything in your favor at same time you save the world________________________Human can build 27 liters  volume( It is about 9- 10 gallons) Quanta Power Reactor (Not Nuclear Power Reactor) or just 27 kg Quanta Power Reactor, then Human can use it everywhere Human need or even use 27kg QUANTA POWER REACTOR to run cars, and never worry about Energy or OIL again and I disagreed, at least on theories and ideas, because I have some more advance theories and Ideas than TS, TSci, and TP had or did not have. . . . . Actuallly, TS, TSci, TP did not understand Time Radiations or radiation times and Space Dynamics yet; however, I cannot tell where is final limits of smaller Electron yet; even though I used 7^9=40,353,607 as division number for smaller electrons, there is a story for 7^9 from Hindu in India about 5000 years ago!!!!!??? perhaps!!!!!!! But I will not volunteer to explain it yet!!!!!! until later when I need to, actually 7^9 is not a division Number, it is as DEcay or Meson NUmbers, if you know Particle Physics. . . And there are more with Advance theories and concepts those are missing in TP and TSci  and TS as I show below:                        @2): All Spaces are connected                             Space is as one of the only 2 factors that they are only 2 of continuums in the Universe, physical Conditions Universe PCU                       @3) Everything is in formations of QUANTA                       @4)"Smallest Particles are not smallest, but something else is" -Tho Huynh Paradox                       @5)    """"""As long as Spaces are available, then there are particles division to smaller Particles"""""" or for easier to understand and for easier to imagine or due to TSci, TS, TP and scientists complained about not seeing smaller particles after standard Model, then I rephrased my Statement for better description: """"""As long as there are spaces, then there will be divisions of Spaces to smaller Spaces to epsilon Spaces""""""-THO HUYNH FACTS OF SPACE PARTICLES FOR FINAL PARTICLES MFG                       @6) LHC, CERN, FERMI LAB, TS, TSci, and TP and Standard Model, SM have mistake mistakenly to ignore Gravity in Standard model that I have found there might be 85x2=170 more in smaller to Smallest particles and Then: """Higgs field is not Quantum Quanta field Quantum Quanta field is not Higgs field Quantum Quanta fields are mass of the Universe Quantum Quanta fields gave mass to Particles, simply because Quantum Quanta fields are mass of the Universe""""-Tho Huynh                         @7) With E=MC^2 is no longer the case at Quanta levels, then you might run energy from very small sizes of power supplies; for example 1m x1m x1m =1m3 Volume of power supplies, or even 1/2mx1/2mx1/2m = 1/8m3 Volume, then you can do many things with such small power supplies, you can even use for your cars, you cannot do them before my proof of energy OR YOU CAN EVEN MAKE POWER SUPPLY JUST ABOUT 27 LITERS VOLUME(9-10 gallons) or even 10kg power supply, THEN YOU CAN USE IT EVERYWHERE EVEN USE 27 LITERS VOLUME POWER SUPPLY TO RUN YOUR CARS                          @8) There are 6 forces instead of 4 forces as TP, TS, and TSci have claimed in the last 375 years      I) Electromagnetic force     II) Weak Nuclear force    III) Strong Nuclear force    IV)First half of Gravity or Isaac Newton Gravity force or Isaac Newton Pull Force    V) Second half of gravity or Tho Huynh Gravity or Tho Huynh Push Force or Real Gravity   VI) the 6th force, temporary name called to keep my copy right                          @9) Push Gravity is Real Gravity, it is not as Gravity that Isaac Newton has claimed 375 years ago!!!!!!!!!!! TS, TP, Tsci should find out PUSH GRAVITY or THO HUYNH GRAVITY or REAL GRAVITY asap, then they can get a chance to observe GRAVITONS They have missed for 375 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Note: Do not assume Push Gravity is just as Force AND REACTION FOCE TO PULL gravity as Isaac Newton law of forces has pointed out. They are relatively independence from each other, in fact they are caused  by diferent causes. Isaac Newton gravity or Pull Gravity is caused by Earth Rotation and Earth Revolution, Tho Huynh Gravity or push gravity or real gravity is caused by Space Expansion or Universe expansion and 2 more causes, but I refer not to reveal it now. THe PUSH GRAVITY is more universal than THE PULL GRAVITY which is more local than push gravity or REAL GRAVITY                          @10)TENTH TSci, TP, TS and Einstein have missed SPace time Quantum time since 1905, 2019-1905= 114 years , they should put them together Space- Time-Quantum time- Dilation-Oscillation, not observe them separately, to see the mechanism of the Universe in space and time                          @11)ELEVENTH Relative Mathematics and RElative Dynamics need to be found to work better for Einstein theories                          @12)12TH With proof of NEW ENERGY Quanta energy, perhaps, Human will no longer worry about ENERGY as Human had problems with Limited Oil capacities                          @13) "there are always 2 spaces to begin with, no matter what"-Tho Huynh Khai niem KHong Gian or Khong Gian Khai Niem, KGKN. I will use examples for general Ideas about Space in two: Front Space- Back Space,Above Space-Below Space,In space-Out space, North space-South Space, Top space-Bottom space, Right Space-left space, West space-East Space, up space- down space etc, etc, etc                         @14)There 2 more key statements for Space and Particles; however, I felt enough for today, I will review them some other time                         @15) QBE depended on how the connections between Quanta to determine the levels of energy of QBE, in this Article I considered 1/8 Quanta Energy is as smallest level of QBE and 1/2 Quanta energy is as biggest levels of QBE FOR NOW, there are might be 8 more to go!!!!!!!!                         @16) Just in case Manipulation electrons are too difficult to deal with, then you can use alternated elements you might choose from 103 elements in periodic table PERIODIC TABLE. Fortunately, you have alternative way to make Manipulation work better; however, I will not offer my solutions in this article, may be somewhere else Any way, the MIX of 1kg MASS and 1kg QUANTA is already the best alternative solution for the QUANTA MANIPULATION or MANIPULATION QUANTA' the difference between the MIX and the MANIPULATION is : Ratio of the mix is R of the mix = 90,500,000,000,000,000joule. times of the Mass ENERGY in 1kg mass Ratio of the manipulation =40,000,000 times of the Mass Energy in 1kg Mass                          @17) if you did not want the problems with MANIPULATION QUANTA THAT REQUIRED ELECTRON DIVISION, THEN YOU CAN MANIPULATE eV up to 511,000eVx 40,000,000=2.044x10^13 eV, then keep Quantum Mass at: Quantum (Mass)= 9.11x10^-31kg Quantum (eV)= 2.044 x10^13eV Then you can produce 40,000,000 times the energy of 1kg Mass from E=MC^2 without worry about Electron Divisions Do not think it is difficult, it might be easier than you can imagine . . . . . . .; however, I cannot write all details in this Article, you must observe my Information and think for yourself(selves), then build it!                            @18)Either keep the eV and low the MASS  Principle or keep the MASS and raise the eV Principle in QUANTA MANIPULATION TECH. I can say they are similar and familiar with Potential Energy P= MGH, you can adjust either M or H to raise the P or even G to raise the P in Gravitational field, the QUANTA MANIPULATION OF MASS OR EV HAPPENED IN ELECTRICAL FIELD OR ENERGY FIELD OR QUANTUM QUANTA FIELD, BUT THE MEANING IS SOMETHING SIMILAR AND FAMILIAR . . . . . . THEY ARE AS ANOTHER INFORMATION I CAN SUPPLY TO PROCESSING ENERGY IN QUANTUM QUANTA FIELD, with Quantum Quanta Manipulation techs . . . . . . . . . IF YOU CAN DO ONE THING TO TURN EVERYTHING ELSE IN YOUR FAVOR, THEN IT IS VERY WORTHY TO DO; ESPECIALLY, YOU BECOME VERY FAMOUS LIKE NOBODY BEFORE YOU!!!!!! Tho Huynh Dark Matter Maker Quantum Initiator Space SCience Founder(Do not be confused with NASA Space program or any other space program) Final Particles Mfg THEY MADE LIFE HARDER, I MAKE LIFE EASIER-THO HUYNH They made Technologies to control people, I made technologies to free people If you need more information , then we must have Business meeting, I work for money just like everybody else

Key Steps in Kidney Transplantation:
Pre-Transplant Evaluation: A thorough evaluation precedes kidney transplantation, involving the search for a compatible donor kidney. Both donor and recipient undergo various investigations, including blood tests, kidney function tests, urine analysis, HIV detection, and cardiac evaluations.
Surgery: Both the donor and the patient are admitted days before the surgery for pre-surgery investigations. The transplantation procedure involves laparoscopic keyhole surgery to retrieve a well-functioning kidney from the donor. The new kidney is placed inside the recipient's body, connected to the urinary bladder. The surgical team ensures circulation is established before closing the abdomen.
Postoperative Care: In cases where the patient's existing kidneys cause harm, they may be removed during the surgery.
Conclusion: Dr. Karthik Mathivanan's role as a kidney transplant specialist in Chennai signifies a commitment to transformative healthcare. His expertise, coupled with Liverindia's dedication, reflects a holistic approach to organ health. As a founding member of the Liver Transplant Society, Dr. Mathivanan continues to shape the narrative of kidney health in Chennai, offering hope and comprehensive care to those in need of kidney transplantation.

The Blue Water Cave - Bhimkund Ancient India has left behind some of the mind blowing facts for its future generations to explore. Reading this one, will definitely raise your eyebrows. Did you know that there is Turquoise (Transparent) water kund (tank or water reservoir) in India since Mahabharata times? Bheemkund is one such place. 118 Kms from Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh, is another famous ancient cave associated with the Pandavas. Known as Bheemkund, this "natural tank" is a holy site and destination for pilgrims dedicated to glorifying the pastimes of the Pandavas. It lies in an underground cave and is about 30m from the ground level. The depth of this pool  is measureless. No one in India till date had made a correct or accountable research work on how deep and where it ends. It might astonish you abou the fact that Water level of Bheemkund soared about 30 meters when last Tsunami hit in 2004 and same is the case at the time of Nepal or other earthquakes the water of the kund rose to 15 meters, it shows that there is some geographical magic that connects the depths of mother earth to such point. This fact was so extraordinary that journalists from #DiscoveryChannel came to investigate but no result could be found. The turquoise blue water of Kund (Tank) is so clean and transparent that you can actually clearly see fishes playing in the water. The creatures living under the water are literally visible to certain depths. A great start of the year for the CIB Team
A little catch up with what the CIBSSquashTeam has been up to in the first  6 weeks of the year. And some of them have been pretty busy! Let’s start with the men..
Tumblr media
Tarek Momen had a great start of the year in India 77K CCI International in Mumbai. He fend dangerous Youssef Ibrahim – nicknamed Golden Boy as he is extremely talented – then Spanish Iker Pajares, a very fresh Ramit Tandon in the semis – as his quarters opponent Saurav Ghosal had to retire injured – and finally the ComeBack Fearless Fares Dessouki in the final, a long and gruelling 80m battle against the Alexandria Boy just back from 14 months away from the Tour.
Onto the ToC, Tarek had a very tough draw, starting with a tough win against Abouelghar in his first round 11/6 in the 5th, 70m. After the ‘Skills’, the ‘Legs’, as he faced French Acrobat Grégoire Marche, Tarek’s nightmare, that he contained in 4 games and again 70m. Quarters, he ousted Mosaad in 3 and less than 40m, but couldn’t pass by Ali Farag in the semis, 3/0, who went on winning the event.
So, for Tarek, a 77K win and a Platinium semi out of two events, not to mention a runner-up in the Egyptian Nationals.
Tumblr media
Mohamed Abouelghar also had a good start, although of course he didn’t had a great TOC, courtesy of above mentioned Tarek Momen, losing in his first round! But he made up for it in the 70K Motor City Open, an event he was seeded 3 for. He had a pretty difficult first match against home favourite Todd Harrity with two tie-breaks and four games. Then another tough encounter against Englishman Adrian Waller, 11/9 in the 5th, passed through compatriot and serious solid all around player Zahed Salem 11/9 in the 4th, and vanquished Diego Elias 11/8 in the 5th. That victory shows that Abou has finally found some consistency, and should be get higher in the ranking pretty soon.
Tumblr media
Karim Abdel Gawad didn’t start the year as superbly as he finished it - not exactly surprising, he needed a bit of a rest! - but still reached the semis of the TOC. He had a close call in his first round, down 2/0 against Welsh Joel Makin, who injured himself. We will never know if Karim would have done his normal ‘I give you the first two games but still win the match’ routine... He then continue by stopping Fares Dessouki in the round 3, another tough one, 11/4 in the 5th. But what a match he produced against Simon Rosner in the quarters, a superb 3/0, and finally bowed to Shorbagy for the revenge of BlackBall....
Tumblr media
We finish with Ali Farag, who is definitely the Man of the Hour…. He started the year with a superb ToC that he won in his first ever TOC final, and what a journey he had. Round one, former world number one and Chess Master James Willstrop, 3/1. Then another Englishman Daryl Selby with probably the three hardest games he will ever play, 15-13; 12-10, 13-11!
He went on mastering one of the most dangerous players around – especially on a warm court that is the Central Station – Superman Paul Coll, 3/0 in less than 50m and as we mentioned, contained Tarek in the semis in 42m…
And what to say about that final against Mohamed Shorbagy!!!?? If Ali was to win, he would be World number 1 in March. Repeat story than in BlackBall,  but in BB, Gawad didn’t have anything to lose, while Ali had the pressure. This time round the stakes were huge for both players. And it started well for Shorbagy, leading 2/0 and 6/2 up. A turn of events led Ali to take the next 9 points and finally the next two games, taking not only the title, but the world number 1 ranking from Mohamed…
As prestigious as the ToC in his mind – although less lucrative, was the fact that Ali clinched the National Title yet again – for the second successive year, along with his wife Nour….
Tumblr media
Talking of Nour El Tayeb, let’s have a look at her start of the year.
TOC, she defeated Scot Lisa Aitken in 20m, then faced home favourite Amanda Sobhy, 11/7 in the 5th. Another quick one in the quarters, 27m against Alison Waters, but in the semis fell against Nour El Sherbini 3/1 who went to win the event.
Onto to 51K Cleveland event, that Nour dominated throughout. 19m against Rachel Arnold in her first round, then 3/1 against Emily Whitlock – 2019 National UK runner-up, then confirming her dominance of Alison Waters, 3/0 in 33m. Her hardest match was against Tesni Evans in the final, 55m in 4 games…
Tumblr media
Like I already mentioned, she then won the Egyptian Nationals along with Hubby Ali Farag…
Raneem El Welily did only two events during this period. She had a great TOC, beating successively Mariam Metwally in 20m, then Joshna Chinappa in 39m, “chopped” Nouran Gohar – Nouran dixit – in 28m, contained Joelle King in four hard game in 50m, but couldn’t find her A game against a Nour El Sherbini on fire, 3/0.
Tumblr media
As for Nouran Gohar, like Raneem, she played only two events, quarterfinalist in the TOC and runner up in the Egyptian Nationals.
The CIB Princess Crown is awarded to Hania El Hammamy. The newest CIBSquashTeam member had a superb British Junior Open, reclaiming her U19 crown she initially won in Jan 2017, but couldn’t defend last year because of the Saudi event. She beat Jana Shiha in the final, quick 3/0, not having dropped a game during the Championship.
Tumblr media
She went on to the TOC, beating Emilia Soini 3/0 in 19m, and next round managed to take a game from Sherbini (one of the only 2 games Sherbini lost the whole event).
Off to Edinburgh, she didn’t lose a game the whole event again, beating Olivia Blatford Clyne in 32m in the final. Four days later, she was playing in the Cincinnati Cup, and zoomed through all her opponents (Danielle Letourneau, Mariam Metwally and Hollie Naughton) 3/0, and upset the seedings when she took out Vicky Lust in the final 3/0….
She then flew back to Cairo to participate to the Nationals, falling finally to Nouran Gohar in the quarters, having landed from the States the night before.
Just think that this amazing athlete is still a junior, and is still at school.. She is in her last year before the French Baccalauréat and soon will be able to focus entirely on her PSA career. Here is a frightening thought for the rest of the world….

Break allowed Kohli to become an even better athlete: Basu - Click on link to subscribe my channel https://ift.tt/34vXvMA Facebook - https://ift.tt/2Vjiyz6 Twitter - https://twitter.com/HsrSports Pinterest - https://ift.tt/2ywdZIH Tumblr - https://ift.tt/2z5qwmL Blog - https://ift.tt/2VlBDRu #Sports #Sports_News #Tournament Virat Kohli. (TOI Photo) NEW DELHI: Basu Shanker, the man responsible for the fitness transformation of the national team, feels India and RCB skipper Virat Kohli has returned from the long break an even fitter athlete after working on "specific physical pointers" that needed attention. Kohli was stuck in Mumbai for five months due to the coronavirus-enforced lockdown and had his first proper hit in the nets only after his arrival in the UAE for the Indian Premier League, beginning September 19. However, he ensured during the break that his supreme fitness level was not impacted and, in fact, it helped him skill-wise on his return to action even though he was "scared" to hit the nets. "He (Kohli) has come back in much better shape. He is at his best weight at the moment and his movement patterns are pretty much in sync with his best self in the past," former India trainer Basu, who is now the strength and conditioning coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore, told PTI from Dubai. "He has taken this break as an opportunity to work on all the pointers which needed attention from a physical point. I guess his motto to life is 'Bear the cross and wear the crown'," said the man who worked with the Indian team between 2015 to 2019. He has worked extensively with Kohli, both at RCB and during his time with the Indian team. Basu said Kohli was able to work on things which an international cricketer finds it difficult to do in a packed calendar. "He had the time to be very specific with his meal plans and running intervals at home. He did not have much of a choice during the lockdown and he invested on a treadmill and worked on his endurance which is otherwise not possible during a packed calendar. "For ground reaction forces every now and then, he did shuttle running in his apartment which had a little space. With all these constraints the attitude stood out more than the workout. "Apart from that, his customised strength work to compliment that was his mantra during the lockout. So a combination of running and strength work and he kept it simple by just following this to the T," said Basu. The RCB squad has been training for a week now and Basu said it is only a matter of time before the players are match ready. "Since most of them have arrived in decent shape physically it's only a matter of time they are match ready. "With regards to assessing a player's fitness - most of the workouts are a test in itself. As a coach, we have to be prudent that they tick the right boxes and drills which can be an assessment. "The coaching director ( Mike Hesson) and the head coach ( Simon Katich) and the entire support group are aware of a long layoff and ergo the planning with regards to the length of practice times, humidity, temperature, and recovery is something we have worked as a team. "There is no fool proof algorithm for it but a sensible approach is what we are treading on." All teams are gradually increasing the intensity of the practice sessions as players and especially fast bowlers are more prone to injuries coming back after probably the longest break in their careers. Basu said the pacers' workload will be carefully monitored over the course of the IPL. "Our bowling coach (Adam Griffith) has come with a specific plan pertaining to loads in the first 2 weeks and that will be used as a blueprint. "The players have done a lot of fitness work and complimenting the skills and choosing the right exercises to get the balance will provide the much-needed impetus for every bowler. "Almost everyone had access to the gym (at least in the home setting), so that will not worry us at all," he said. The players are getting accustomed to the extreme hot conditions in the UAE and proper recovery and diet will go a long way in keeping them in top shape over the course of the 53-day long tournament. "The modern cricketers are very mindful of their meal plans. Hydration, balanced amount of protein, carbs, and good fat will do the trick and to combat the heat - again we have our wellness and load monitoring system which will be put to good use," said Basu when asked abou...
