Key to the ability to keep the heid especially in tourism and customer service especially this month is knowing that 1. For every customer calling me names or insulting my colleagues or being condescending there are a dozen shaking my hand and thanking us for being helpful and fun to talk to and being delighted to have had a fun holiday cause of what we do and 2. The more sneery or obnoxious a complaint the funnier it is to all of us once we close the bar and share a post-shift pint and chat

Fab Friday: A Question

For those who participate in Fab Friday - and for anyone who might be interested in participating in the future! - I would love to hear your thoughts on whether you would like to see this event continue.

If you don’t know what Fab Friday is, you can read the description here!

To be honest, I’ve been struggling to keep up with it while I balanced other responsibilities. And I’ve dropped the ball a few times this year, completely missing Friday altogether.

Unfortunately, I’ve also had a health issue flare up recently and it requires managing stress better. As much as I want to Do All The Things, my health is wagging a finger at me for that.

So, I’m putting a few questions into the writeblr universe for your consideration:

1 - Would you like Fab Friday to continue? If so, I’d love to hear your reasons!

2 - With many other writeblr events available, are you 50/50 whether Fab Friday continues or not?

3 - Would anyone be interested in taking over Fab Friday and discussing the logistics of that with me? (This is my main blog, so I probably wouldn’t want to hand it over to anyone. But a side blog doesn’t get the same visibility on tumblr as far as I understand it. See? Logistics!)

I have not reached a decision about the fate of Fab Friday yet! This is simply a discussion post about what’s floating around in my head at the moment. (I would have used polls but I STILL don’t have access to them 😒)

Everybody thinks TTPD is going to rip him a new one and she might and might even be justified in her rage. He might even deserve it. My secret feeling is that this is more about her and her callings and not him and his failings. Everybody is preparing for 17 Vigilante Shits' but I hope it's not like that and I love female rage as a woman prone to rage. I hope the album is diverse and like Red with something for everyone.

i'm honestly not sure what to expect at all but here are my thoughts.., i think there will definitely be some rage and anger there but i don't think it's going to occupy the entire album as a whole. she has a wide range of emotions just like every other person out there and i think THAT'S what we're going to see as we often do with her, not just the darker shades of what happened but instances of light and hues of gray/in between as well, which is interesting given the album colors. whether it's her new experiences or moments in her past. i'm just excited to hear what she has to say, i really can't wait.
