EXO Reactions to Their Wife Not Wanting Kids

I did this reaction for BTS just a few hours back because I saw a reaction thingy discussing it, but I thought the reaction didn’t really make sense. The wife, aka the reader, didn’t want children but the author made the wife, reader, change her mind quite easily. As someone who doesn’t want children, I wouldn’t do that. So here is the same reaction for EXO. This is EXO!9

Suho

He is a real family man. He’d love to have a bit family to provide for. He would love to come home to his beautiful wife and children waiting for him at the dinner table.

However, he didn’t marry his wife just to have children with her. No, he married you because he loves you with all his heart. Children or not, he will still stand by his woman.

That doesn’t mean he won’t try to talk to you about it.

‘Jagiya, I know you said you don’t want children, but could you please explain why?‘

Xiumin

You know he would like to have a kid running around. You know it would make him really happy, but you also know he prefers bottling things up than actually talking to you about his frustrations and worries. You could see it really bothered him when you would shoot down his little hints so quickly, so you decided to talk to him about it.

It the end what it comes down to is that he doesn’t understand how someone wouldn’t want to have a little bundle of joy running around.

‘Minnie, we have to talk. About the you-wanting-to-have-children-and-me-not-really-wanting-that thing.‘

‘I know. I’m sorry I keep hinting at it, but I just don’t understand it.‘

Lay

Considering he is the most accepting(I think) you don’t have to worry about him pushing you or making you feel bad for not wanting children. He would be a bit confused as to why you don’t want children and curious about your reasons. So expect to do a lot of explaining, but don’t worry. He won’t make it feel like you’re in a trial case being questioned.

‘So you don’t like children?‘

‘I do like children.‘

‘You do like children but you don’t want children. Okay... Can you explain?‘

Baekhyun

We all know Baekhyun is basically a child himself, but when you two would sit down to discuss the situation he would be very mature and curious about why you don’t want to have children. He wouldn’t want to force you into anything, but sometimes he’d get a little bit too excited when he saw a family walking around. You don’t really mind, because you know it’s just his character, but you do point it out.

‘Oh! Jagiya, look! They all match! Let’s have children and do that too!‘

‘I’d rather not.‘

Chen

Let’s be honest here. He’d whine about it. A lot. But he would stop talking about it when you tell him firmly that you don’t want to talk about it anymore. He would also be able to have a normal conversation with you about it, but he’d prefer just squeezing in hints so that he wouldn’t have to confront you and trigger you.

‘Ah wae~!‘

‘I am not talking you about this if you’re going to act like that.‘

‘But I want to have children with you~!‘

‘I’m done.‘

Chanyeol

He’d be a bit hurt because he thinks it’s because of him. Because you don’t think he’d be a responsible father. It would take you a lot of time to talk that out of his head, but eventually he would come around and start to understand where you were coming from.

‘So is it me? Am I not trustworthy enough to be a father? Why did you marry me if that’s the case?‘

‘It’s not about that.‘

‘Oh... So what is it then?‘

D.O

To be honest, I really do doubt if he wants children. He wouldn’t be too surprised. He didn’t really see you as a girl who would walk behind a stroller anyway. He wouldn’t go in discussion with you because he is fine with just having a wife for now. He likes coming home to you and the peace and quiet that comes with it. A child would just disturb that. For now, he’s good just like this. Maybe he’ll want children later, but he won’t mind if you don’t want them.

‘Look, the giant is playing with a kid again. Where does he find those children?‘

‘I don’t know. Don’t really care. Oh, Soo?‘

‘Yeah?‘

‘Do you want children?‘

‘For now, no.‘ he hesitated.

‘Good, me neither.‘

Our little Nini wouldn’t really mind for now. Being married is enough responsibilities for now. Maybe he will suggest another dog to be your child, which isn’t practically having children so you’d agree and be a proud doggie mama.

When he’s ready he will talk to you about it, because he does want a family. But he won’t force you into anything you don’t want and he won’t dare to act degrading towards you about it.

'Do you ever want to have children?’

‘Not really. You?‘

‘I do, but I’m curious. Why don’t you want children?‘

Does this kid look like he wants kids? You doubt it. He never brings it up, nor does he give you hints about wanting them. He’s happy right where he is. He has the most beautiful woman in the world to back him up when things get savage and he likes the peace and quiet like Kyungsoo.

When he’s ready, he will drop the bomb on you very suddenly and you will talk for hours to figure everything out, but in the end you will both walk away from the talk knowing that you talked everything through.
