nonbinary helsknight is so funny to me. i think that welsknight was their trans awakening not in a gender envy way but in a “whatever gender this guy is i am Not that one” way
CANON
Helsknight popped into the world and said, "You know what? No, actually." His first decision for himself was gender, his next decision was to fight Wels, the rest is history--

Yet another sketch, sorry - but this time it's Papa II, surprise!
Not entirely happy (mostly unhappy with that depth of field finger on the top left), ran out of time for the mitre and the no eraser rule was really tough today (30mins, 1 mechanical pencil, no eraser)
dedicated to @ghoulymadge and their fantastic gifsets

PJO Percy would not have stood for hoo Percy's opinion of Nico. Would've been like okay fucker I see that you've lost your memory and yeah Nico's been a weird little thing sometimes but he's OUR weird little thing, I'll fucking fight you from the beyond if you let anything happen to him
Legit should've been Jason and Leo being like "can we really trust him" and Percy's just ??? Um why couldn't we trust him? And everyone is just... Percy you literally told us about that time his dad locked you in jail and also when you thought he wanted to kill you that one time and also that he recognized you at CJ but lied about it and Percy is just ??? Okay and your point is?? Because Nico is his little gremlin, and, occasional sketchy behaviour aside, Percy would rather eat his own arm than live in a world where Nico gets hurts.

actually really genuinely makes me so incredibly sick and sad to think of s1 will, who was terrified and losing his mind and no one helped him, especially not the people that he trusted. that line he has that goes "sometimes, at night, i leave the lights on in my little house, and walk across the flat fields... when I look back from a distance, the house is like a boat on the sea. it's really the only time i feel safe." and i think about how scared he was and how he had to leave that person behind, because he would've died, and in that sense he really died anyway

what are your controversial wwx views? 👀 (asking as a fellow controversial wwx view-haver)
In the grand scheme of things I personally think my opinions are pretty lukewarm but I got a lot of shit a while back for making a post saying that it's important to acknowledge that wwx has privilege as a male cultivator member of the gentry and certified genius, and that that's important because even though he knows that his position in society is extremely tenuous and that so many people are willing to fight to force him to lose it, he still chooses to stand up for those even lower in society (in that post I was thinking specifically of the women in mdzs, particularly the brothel women because they're basically never considered). And then? A bunch of people started shittalking me because apparently wwx is the most underprivileged character in the story? And he's lower status than even the non cultivating sex workers because he was homeless as a kid?
I'm also neutral-positive on Jiang Cheng and made the great sin of making a completely neutral poll asking for people's opinions on him correlating with if they grew up with siblings and got a bunch of accusations of being a wwx anti, rigging the poll, and misrepresenting the answers (the results of which were completely even btw) based off . The fact I used a picture of grapes as the poll banner. Yeah . Wwx was never mentioned in the poll at all also. You can probably still find all that shit if you search my username, anons were just fully accidentally pinging me and everything, it's why I don't name search any more even though I know some people make posts based off my ideas but are afraid of pinging me (don't be btw!!! Please ping me 🥺🥺)
I actually really didn't like wwx in my first read-through of mdzs because I really related to teen lwj and felt very personally about the idea of overly pushy boundary breaking teenager attitudes, but I definitely grew to like him lol. I don't know how much that shows through in my posts, I think I've made a few comments about thinking that he was definitely a little bit of a dick as a teen but I don't know how controversial that is
So overall I'm sorry to disappoint, not very controversial opinions, but I've gotten so much grief for them anyways you'd think I posted some shit like wwx is my least favorite character in all of fiction 😵💫😵💫 there's probably more stuff that could be considered controversial but I'm so disconnected from mdzs fandom at this point that I don't really know what the general consensus is. I'd love to hear yours though!!!! Feel free to anon or message or whatever you feel comfortable with, I won't judge

If Rhaenyra, Laena, and Daemon actually were f*cking one another all three of them are the dumbest people to walk the earth if not one of them thought “Daemon should try and get Rhaenyra pregnant” especially since she was dealing with the bastard rumors
That's the main reason why I don't believe they had some kind of weird throuple going on. If nothing else, Daemon at the very least would've impregnated Rhaenyra to have his son on the throne(an accident would've befallen over the older strong boys and Joffrey would not have existed) if they had actually been f*cking while Laena was alive 🤷🏽♀️

(NOTE: just to be clear I'm not bashing any of the three characters I mentioned. I just found it interesting how she's been pushed away from the family members that she has a lot in common with.)
Isn't it crazy how Mirabel is connected Alma, Bruno, and Pedro? All three of key figures in the Madrigal family plotwise?
Mirabel has Alma's loyalty and love for the family, which emboldens her to have the courage to make hard decisions that no one might agree with, and yet this trait that she shares with Alma is—ironically enough—what drove them further apart from one another throughout the length of the movie.
Like Bruno, she's treated as the black sheep of the family due to her lack of gift. This shared connection of being the "dirty secret" of the family causes Bruno to go into hiding for her safety, but despite his best intentions, him hiding away is actually what makes Mirabel's situation worse in the long run because he disappears on top of everything else that was going on with her.
And with Pedro, she is referred to as his "gift" to the family, their one last miracle from their savior. They share the same courage that urges them to protect the family, but it is this same courage that causes Pedro to lose his life.
What I'm trying to say here is, despite having so much in common with these people, they almost always end up leaving her behind. And while it's true that Pedro's death isn't directly connected to her, Alma feared the implications of Mirabel's giftlessness because it could be a sign that the Miracle is fading—that the thing that gave Pedro's death meaning would one day disappear. In the end, this causes her to isolate Mirabel from the family due to her strange lack of connection to the Candle, which Alma connects back to Pedro.
At this point, Mirabel has already been disconnected to three key figures in her family from childhood. If Encanto had been a different genre, Mirabel would've been a character doomed by the narrative 😔
