Your ace attorney opinions are so valid and I wish they did aa5 and aa6 more justice? The characters are interesting and fun but when they play 52 pickup with each individual storyline it really shoots the collective narrative in the foot. From a gameplay standpoint, the stuff introduced in aa5 and 6 are fun and rly cool ways to expand upon the universe, and the Wright lie detection agency is fun, but it feels like. Idk. Like they didn’t trust their writers OR their fan base with their story. Idk if that makes sense? (I have similar beef with aitsf and aini though so,,,)
Yeah I honestly hold more contempt for AA5 and 6 than I do any other art I've experienced. Defenders of these games will posit the detractors are so fixated on AJ's plot they cannot see the merits of DD and SoJ, but I don't care about Kristoph's psyche locks, the untouched sibling reveal, or Apollo's 70000 backstories nearly as much as they suggest. Those things are annoying, but they are minor symptoms of the real issue: bad writing across the board. Most if not all culprits have store-bought motives that are thinly elucidated, if they're even elucidated at all, which impacts the writing of every case. If the cause of the suffering is a caricature, the victims end up similarly toothless. They are equally generic. AA has always struggled to write witnesses and culprits consistently well--there's a reason people talk about ace attorney middle cases like that for instance--but it's compounded by the frequency that it happens especially for the main characters.
The returning main cast are hollowed out versions of themselves. Trucy is just a quirky magician girl which they walk back a little in Spirit of Justice by giving her a focus case, and then she's back to being Quirky. Phoenix Wright is a generic mentor figure with goofy internal dialogue sometimes. Klavier is a rockstar prosecutor!!! That's it!!!! Miles Edgeworth is BACK, and because they worked on the investigations games you can kind of see why he's this big good figure, but Pearl and Maya are seemingly around just to be around cause they have nothing going on emotionally. Apollo is a stock dweeb except when he's stock Edgy as a result of one of his new poorly written backstories involving poorly written new characters who might not even be characters (looking at you, Clay Terran).
And the new main characters suffer just as much. Let's take Dual Destinies as a case study. Blackquill was convicted and imprisoned for a murder he did not do, something that changed him and shows in his scenes, in order to protect Athena, whose upbeat personality is only preserved because she is so traumatized by the events and her complicated relationship with her mother and hearing she cannot acknowledge it consciously. These are compelling emotional beats, it makes for well-rounded characters, but what's the payoff? Why did they suffer this way? Because some hired goon with no name and no face had a job at GYAXA to execute. In a better game, you could use Phantom's emptiness as commentary about how often the things that ruin your life don't have good explanations, but I will not be lending credit to that notion for this game, because void man is the origin point for "The Dark Age of the Law," which now also happened because it did, and it was a shallow idea from the jump.
"The Dark Age of the Law" is an simplified cartoon explanation for distrust in the legal system. Instead of people being flawed whether through selfishness (MvK, Kristoph) or trauma (Miles, Justine) lending itself to corruption, exploitation and injustice in systems meant to protect, leading to a myriad of reasons the public would be skeptical that the law serves them, they just feel that way because one lawyer got disbarred for evidence forging and one prosecutor was convicted for murder. Spirit of Justice largely takes place in a made up country with a tyrannical government that kills defense attorneys for assuring fair trials for guilty clients! Why does this happen? Idk, because Ga'ran sucks, and she has ultimate power and creates all the laws. The root of all evil in Khura'in is one woman who is a factory set trope surrounded by generic citizens, diluted returning leads, and new characters who must be dragged down by the garbage that surrounds them in order to take part in it.
You brought up AI. Since you're anonymous, I'm guessing you're one of the countless people who takes issue with Nirvana Initiative on the grounds it's a bad followup to AITSF, to which I first have to ask.... Are you new to my blog? This is a AINI defender account lmao. I think it's better than AITSF, fight me. I'm writing a whole essay about it; I'll win. That said, I get the comparison because it's one I've made before, even if I don't quite stand by it anymore. I'm not going to explain my AINI opinions here, wait for the essay if you're curious, but I think I can get at that difference to me just by using Ace Attorney alone.
My favorite Ace Attorney game is Investigations 2, a sequel to a spin-off that has two of the writers for the mainline games I hate. It's a game about legacy and family. Whether they were admirable and just like Gregory Edgeworth, or duplicitous abusers like Blaise Debeste, the cast of this game wrestles with who they are, how their parent (or parental figure) shaped them, and who they should be in the face that now. Maybe they have to learn what that person is actually like and separate from them, or maybe they find a new family among their friends to fill that absence, or maybe they make peace with that loss and accepting who they are now is someone worth being. Maybe they deny that memory as their own or significant until the end to preserve what they want to believe. It's also a game about systemic failure, and all the things that have to be done to make the law an institute that actually protects people. Specific bad actors may be out of the picture now, but there is still more work to be done.
And the funny thing is? I2 does all of this without actually talking all that much about the rest of the series. Most of the characters are new, even to Investigations, and the ones that return don't bring up most of the shit that happened like a week ago. Miles references the events of Turnabout Goodbyes, and "That Man", and Gregory Edgeworth is a key figure in this game, to the point where you play as him, and yet all of that is only alluded just enough to understand the magnitude of his image and his loss. The heart of AA has always been in its characters, who are zany and fun, but they face real tragedy and real abuses, at the hands of one another which are then reflected in the world of law because the justice system is created and run by people; in I2 it beats so strongly.
Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice may have the skin of Ace Attorney and the bones to prop them up, but underneath that familiar exterior, they're empty. They lack the the muscles and veins and blood to bring them to life, because the character writing and thematic conceits are shallow. The reason AA5 and 6 fail as followups is not because they don't engage with prior entries enough, but because they are poorly written on their own terms. They say nothing at all; they have removed their own heart.

A Comparison of RTD and Steven Moffat: Saving The Day
So for this analysis I’m going to compare when Moffat and RTD save the day well and when they save it poorly. There are a few bits of criteria I need to explain.
First I will only be including main series, no Torchwood, no spin-offs, and no mini episodes.
Second, I have to define what makes a good and a bad ending (my examples will come from episodes written by neither of them):
Bad endings include when the sonic saves the day (see The Power Of Three) (there are exceptions, see below), when a character spouts some useless technobabble that doesn’t make any scientific sense/when it doesn’t make logical sense in general, when the Doctor invents/presents a machine/equipment that miraculously stops the baddy and is never referred to again (see Journey To The Centre Of The TARDIS), and any other ending I deem to be bad (see The Vampires of Venice)
Good endings include when the sonice activates a device that has been well established to save the day, when technobabble is used that actually makes some scientific sense, and just generally when the baddy is destroyed in what I deem to be a creative manner that makes sense with all the things that had been set up in that episode (see The Unquiet Dead).
There will also be cases where there isn’t really a day to be saved, however this happens more often with Moffat.
Let us begin (obviously there will be spoilers but the last episode in the list aired nearly 4 years ago so what you doing with your life).
RTD:
Rose: Bad
What even is anti-plastic?! Like seriously, he’s faced the Autons loads of times and has never thought to use it any other time.
The End Of The World: Bad
The Doctor just goes up to the appearance of the repeated meme (ha meme) and rips its arm off. He then just summons Cassandra back by twisting a knob which apparently everyone can do if “you’re very clever like me”.
Aliens Of London/World War Three: Good
Just nuking them all was a bit dodgy but I’ll give it to him purely because it had been set up earlier in the episode and it is a genuine option that could have been taken.
The Long Game: Good
The heating issue was set up within 2 minutes of the episode starting. It’s always good to see the Doctor using his enemies weakness against them.
Boom Town: Good
Only just. It’s technology that hadn’t been showcased ever before and came out of nowhere, but I’m allowing purely because it was setting up The Parting Of The Ways.
Bad Wolf/The Parting Of The Ways: Good
See above. It was set up the story before so it works.
The Christmas Invasion: Bad
This was so close to being good. If RTD had just let the Sycorax leader be honourable then everything would have been fine. Instead he had to let him be dishonourable and then the Doctor through the Satsuma at a random button that for no apparent reason caused a bit of floor to fall away.
New Earth: Bad
It only makes sense if you think about it for less than 10 seconds as just pouring every cure to every disease ever into a giant tub and then spraying said supercure onto them all, then having them hug each other to pass it on. That is suspending my disbelief just a bit too far.
Tooth And Claw: Good
Everything is set up in the episode so I’ll allow it but I fail to see how Prince Albert had the time to ensure that the diamond was cut perfectly.
Love And Monsters: Bad
It’s Love And Monsters. Need I say more?
Army of Ghosts/Doomsday: Good
It was very clearly set up throughout the episode.
The Runaway Bride: Bad
I don’t like how a few bombs can supposedly drain the entire Thames.
Smith And Jones: Good
All the events were well established
Gridlock: Good
It’s a fairly bland way to save the day, just opening the surface to all the drivers. But how else could he have done it?
Utopia/The Sound Of Drums/Last Of The Time Lords: Bad
As much as I like the idea that he tuned himself into the archangel network, he basically turned into Jesus. It is arguably the least convincing ending in modern Doctor Who history.
Voyage Of The Damned: Bad
Why was he the next highest authority? If he’s the highest authority in the universe why didn’t they default to him in the first place? If not then why not default to Midshipman Frame? And if he’s somehow in between them then why? Also Astrid killed herself for no reason when she easily could have jumped out of the forklift.
Partners In Crime: Good
It works in the context of the episode, but I don’t see why they needed two of the necklace things.
Midnight: Good
It’s human nature, you can’t get more well set up than that.
Turn Left: Good
It works logically
The Stolen Earth/Journey’s End: Bad
Donna just spouts a load of technobabble whilst pressing buttons and then the Daleks are magically incapacitated.
The Next Doctor: Bad
Why do the infostamps sever Hartigan’s connection with the Cyberking? As far as I remember it ain’t explained.
Planet Of The Dead (co-written with noted transphobe Gareth Roberts): Good
A good couple scenes are dedicated on getting the anti-gravs set up.
The Waters Of Mars (co-written with Phil Ford): N/A
The day isn’t really saved cause everyone still dies anyway.
The End Of Time: Good
Using a gun to destroy a machine is much better than using the sonic to destroy it.
Summary for RTD:
Out of 24 stories written by him, I deem 10 to be bad endings with 1 abstaining. That’s 41.7% of his episodes (43.5% if we don’t count any abstaining).
Steven Moffat:
The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances: Good
You’ll see this a lot with Moffat, he knows how to explain things without stupefying levels of technobabble. “Emailing the upgrade” is a perfect example of this.
The Girl In The Fireplace: Good
Some basic logic, the androids want to repair their ship, but they can’t return to it, they no longer have a function so they shut down.
Blink: Good
Always loved this one, getting the angels to look at each other, however they do look at each other sometimes earlier in the episode.
Silence In The Library/Forest Of The Dead: Bad
This is more of a problem with the setup of the episode, I don’t like that he can negotiate with the Vashta Nerada. I’d rather see them comprehensively beaten, but I guess it’s good for the scare factor that they can’t be escaped from.
The Eleventh Hour: Good
He convinced the best scientists all around the world to set every clock to 0 all in less than an hour. In the Doctor’s own words “Who da man!”
The Beast Below: Good
The crying child motif pretty much ended up saving the day (well for the star whale, life went on as normal for pretty much everyone else).
The Time Of Angels/Flesh And Stone: Good
The artificial gravity had briefly been set up earlier so I’ll allow it.
The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang: Good
Everything had been set up perfectly, the vortex manipulator, the Pandorica’s survival field thingy, the TARDIS exploding at every moment in history.
A Christmas Carol: Good
Literally the entire episode is the Doctor saving the day by convincing Kazran not to be a cock.
The Impossible Astronaut/Day Of The Moon: Good
The silence’s ability to influence people is their whole thing, so using it against them is a good Doctory thing to do.
A Good Man Goes To War: N/A
The day isn’t really saved, Melody is lost, but River shows up at the end so is all fine? I love the episode it’s just the day isn’t really truly saved (yes I know Amy was rescued but she still lost her baby).
Let’s Kill Hitler: N/A
There isn’t really a day to be saved. They all get out alive but no one is really saved other than maybe River but we all knew she was gonna live anyway.
The Wedding Of River Song: Good
Whilst opinion is divided on the episode, the ending still works. the Tesseracta was established in Let’s Kill Hitler, and the “touch River and time will move again” was established well in advance.
The Doctor, The Widow And The Wardrobe: Bad
I don’t like how the lifeboat travels through the time vortex for no reason but to rescue the dad. It don’t make no sense and I don’t think it’s explained
Asylum Of The Daleks: Good
Oswin had access to the Dalek hive mind so of course she should be able to link into the controls and blow everything up.
The Angels Take Manhattan: Good
Paradoxes really do be something powerful, and they even acknowledge how nobody knows if it’d work so I’ll let it slide.
The Snowmen: Bad
Lots of people cry at Christmas, why are the Latimers anything special?
The Bells of Saint John: Good
The whole episode is about hacking so why shouldn’t the Doctor be able to hack the spoonheads
The Name Of The Doctor: Good
It was the story arc for the season pretty much, so of course it was explained well in advance.
The Day Of The Doctor: Good
Both the storing Gallifrey like a painting and the making everyone forget if they’re Human or Zygon works in the context of the episode.
The Time Of The Doctor: Bad
Since when were the Time Lords so easily negotiated with?
Deep Breath: Good
I like the dilemma over whether the half-face man was pushed or jumped.
Into The Dalek: Good
It’s set up well with this new Doctor’s persona of actually not being too nice of a guy (at first).
Listen: N/A
There isn’t a day to be saved. It’s just 45 minutes of the Doctor testing a hypothesis and I low-key love it.
Time Heist (co-written with Steven Thompson): Good
It works logically so I’ll allow it however it isn’t very well set up at all.
The Caretaker (co-written with noted shithead Gareth Roberts): Good
The machine to tell the Blitzer what to do was set up well in advance so I’ll allow it.
Dark Water/Death In Heaven: Good
The fact that Danny still cares even as a cyberman is set up fairly early on after his transformation.
Last Christmas: Good
He does use the sonic to wake up Clara but he convinces the others to wake up through talking so I’ll allow it.
The Magician’s Apprentice/The Witch’s Familiar: Good
It’s set up well with that little scene from actually inside the sewers.
The Girl Who Died (co-written with Jamie Mathieson): Good
IDK why the vikings would randomly keep electric eels but they’re set up well so I’ll ignore it.
The Zygon Inversion (co-written with Peter Harness): N/A
Not including this one as it’s only the second part and I’d argue the ending is most likely Harness’.
Heaven Sent/Hell Bent: N/A
Again there isn’t really a day to be saved, yes Heaven Sent really is amazing but it’s only the first part and, being completely honest, he dies several billion times before finally getting through the wall.
The Husbands Of River Song: N/A
Again there isn’t really a day to be saved here.
The Return Of Doctor Mysterio: Good
He gets Grant to catch the bomb which is good. But he does just sonic the gun out of Dr Sim’s hand and says UNIT is on its way which just sort of wraps it up very quickly.
The Pilot: N/A
No day to be saved here.
Extremis: Good
You could technically call it the sonic saving the day, I consider it to be the Doctor emailing the Doctor to warn him of the future.
The Pyramid At The End Of The World: Good
The fire sanitising everything makes sense and it’s in character for Bill to love the Doctor enough to cure his blindness in return for the world
World Enough And Time/The Doctor Falls: Good
Yes it is the sonic just blowing the cybermen up, but it’s blowing them up with well established pipelines so I’ll allow it (also the story is amazing).
Twice Upon A Time: N/A
No day to be saved here. Just Doctors 1 and 12 getting angsty about regenerating.
Summary for Steven Moffat:
Out of 39 stories written by him, I deemed 4 to be bad with 7 abstaining. That’s 10.3% of his episodes (12.5% if we don’t count any abstaining).
Conclusions:
Moffat was much better at saving the day than RTD
Moffat liked telling stories where the day didn’t actually need to be saved
I’ve spent way too long on this and I need to sleep
If I spent as much time on this as my coursework I’d probably pass
If you’re still reading this, you probably need to get a life

May Reading Wrap Up
I'm actually really proud of myself. I finished 13 books last month. Spent a lot of extra time away from screens and focusing on my mental health so I burned through way more than I normally would. So anyways, here's my reviews. - Also please understand that these are just my opinions and if I shit on your favorite book I'm sorry that I didn't enjoy it as much as you. Also, also Im terrible with character names.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor ⭐⭐⭐
I actually started this book at the end of April but didn't finish it til May 1st so whatever, here it is. This books is a YA urban fantasy novel about a girl with a double life. She spends half her days studying art in Europe and the other half running errands for a tooth collecting wish monger. I don't want to say a whole lot more because I dont want to spoil anything important about the plot. So, I'll try to be vague. Let me start by saying this story is amazing. I loved the writing and the world. I rated it so low solely because I can't stand the two main characters and it really dragged down what would have otherwise been an amazing novel. So yeah, great book but its a preference thing. Also took points off for the insta-love but not really insta-love shit. Idk. I have a lot of mixed feelings about this read even a month later. Gonna read the second to see if maybe my hatred of the two mains was just a fluke.
3/5 Stars
Spellbound by Rachel Hawkins
⭐⭐⭐
This is the third book in the Hex Hall trilogy. Not much to say about it. It was a meh ending to an overall pretty good series. 3/5 stars. Moving on.
The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
⭐⭐⭐
Realizing now how many of my reads this month were pretty middle of the world. Hopefully next month will be filled with 4 and 5 stars. Anyways, this book was honestly a struggle for me to finish and Im not sure why. It's a YA mystery magical realism story about a tiny coastal town that is cursed by the spirits of 3 sisters who were suspected of witchcraft and drowned 2 centuries prior. Because of this, every year the sisters return from the sea to take the lives of teenage boys by luring them to the sea. We follow the life of kind of meh and standard YA girl #1. She meets a strange non tourist boy and hires him to work in the lighthouse her family owns. Her dad randomly disappeared years ago and her mom is a loon. So yeah... I dont know. I kind of felt like this story was hot garbage in places. I usually dont have any trouble with the suspense of disbelief in magical realism stories but this one just had too many plot holes. Like, I get morbid stuff becomes tourist attractions but why wouldn't someone have stepped in and evacuated the town if at least 3 teenage boys die there EVERY SINGLE YEAR without fail? I honestly feel like the FBI or some other government agency would have cleared the place out after the first 20 or so deaths. There was also the whole MC can see the ghosts of the girls possessing people but chooses not to tell anyone? Like, I get it. You dont want people to label you a freak or think you're crazy but come the fuck on. You live in a tourist trap where people flock to watch local teenage males wash up on shore and you really think the authorities arent going to take you up on the help? It wasn't an awful book by any means. It was well written and extremely descriptive. Just had major beef with some of the details. Anyways, I wont say much more so I don't spoil the whole book.
3/5 Stars
An Enchantment of Ravens by Maragret Rogerson
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Finally, I get to talk about one of my favorite reads of the month. I love anything to do with the Fae in my YAfiction and this was literally everything I wanted in a Fae novel. It takes place in a town called Whimsy, a humanish town in the world of Faerie. The fae cannot do any Craft, or what we would consider craftsmanship. Art and humans who can do it well are very precious in this world because the Fae can't ever do it themselves. We follow the adventures of a girl who has been commisioned to paint the portrait of the Autumn King and the chaos that ensues. Let me just start by saying this is one of those insta-love situations where I feel like it's genuinely ok. I might be making excuses because I loved the title so much but whatever. It's explained and I accept it. Also, I realize that Gadfly had a lovely description but my brain willl not let me picture him as anything but Mr.Waternoose from Monsters Inc.
5/5 Stars
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
⭐⭐⭐
This book started out so good and went downhill very quickly. It follows the story of these two magicians who were fated by their Master's to one day fight to the death. There were so many things I loved about this book only for the last 100 pages to just take a firey dump on my face. I loved the setting and the majority of the characters. The supporting characters were so deep and interesting that I almost cared more about them than I did Ceilia and Marko (Im proabably wrong and I dont feel like googling but I think that was his name) . I don't know. I don't want to complain about anymore meh books.

Matched by Allie Condie
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Went into this book expecting to hate it. I usually don't like contemporary love stories but this had major City of Ember meets The Giver vibes and it just appealed to that 14 year old girl in me again. That seems to happen with a lot of dystopian utopia stories. Anyways, story is about a girl who lives in this town where when you hit a certain age you are brought to a place and told who the government has chosen for you to marry. She is matched with her life long best friend and all is well. Except that her little Get To Know Your New Husband microship thing showed her two guys instead of just one. And lots of bullshit ensues. I honestly think I rated this so high because I enjoy the world and not so much whats actually happening to the kids. Like, I loved the idea that art is harmful so the government chose 100 acceptable pieces and thats all these people know. I loved the brutality of the government in general. I can't say much more without spoiling some of the twists but geez did it have me hooked. I'm going to be started the second one soonish, though my TBR for June has gotten intense so we will see.
4/5 stars
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I cannot say enough good things about this book. It is so fucking good! Not going to rant about it or anything because y'all just need to go read it immediately.
5/5 stars
Would give it every star in the sky if Im being completely honest.
Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh
⭐⭐
Got sucked into this book by the cover and honestly that was the best part of this book. Its about this world where necromancy is pretty highly regarded and used to resurrect the royals after they die. The only downside is that if a living person ever lays eyes on the resurrected person's skin then they turn into these horrible monsters. Maybe it's just me but like that absolutely does not seem worth the risk. Plus, in order to bring the person back, these reapers have to go into the death world and bring the spirit back. And it's HELLA DANGEROUS. So like, WHY? Anyways, there is this stupid underlying love story that I absolutely wasn't invested in. This just all around was not a good book.
2/5 stars
Monster High by Lisi Harrison
⭐⭐
Little known fact~ I'm obsessed with Monster High and Ever After High. So yeah, I realize this wasn't targeted to me as an adult but even going into it with an open mind I was disappointed. Granted I didn't read the description of the book prior. I just saw this franchise I love and grabbed it. First, if you are a fan of the mini series and the movies do not read this. It doesnt follow the cinematic canon and I think that was my biggest problem with it. Frankie's character was all wrong and I hated the whole"Normy" cast. Was really excited for these but I definitely won't be continuing the series. I don't even want to torture myself with seeing how they manage to ruin my sweet baby Draculara.
2/5 stars
Unhinged by AG Howard
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I can't say enough good things about this series. This is the second book in the trilogy and it was a fanatstic bridge book. It had me engrossed through the entire audiobook. Morpheus is still everything. If you loved Splintered I would highly reccomend continuing.
5/5 stars
Truthwitch
⭐⭐
Have had this on my TBR for a while because of how many Booktubers have hyped the series. Buy, was I disappointed. I was soooooooooo bored. Maybe it's because I don't really enjoy this type of fantasy or maybe it was just the slower paced story but I just slugged through this book. Both of the main female characters were bland to me and I didn't care about their friendship. The world was cool but not enough to keep me invested. Just wasn't my cup of tea.
2/5 stars
Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
⭐⭐⭐
Picked this up because of how much I loved The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein and it didn't meet my expectations. It follows this girl who works for a paranormal gorvenment group. She has a special ability that makes her really useful to them so they are trying to groom her basically. They capture this changeling and she befriends him and there is an overarching plot that I just didn't get invested in. The friendship between the two main characters was pretty much the only thing that I enjoyed in this title. The mother figure was insufferable and I just didn't really understand the whole org that they worked for in general. Not an awful book but not fantastic.
Solid 3/5 stars.
The Siren by Kiera Cass
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Going to preface this by saying I might be biased. I love Kiera Cass and have enjoyed almost everything she has written. That said, this wasn't nearly as good as The Selection series but it was a pretty good stand alone novel. It about a girl who becomes a siren on her deathbed and spends the next 100 years serving the sea by luring people to their deaths. After doing this for 70 years, she falls in love and pretty much ruins everything. Loved the characters, especially the male lead. The insta love was a little pet peeve of mine but the love interest was so sweet and genuine that I was willing to overlook it. Pretty good read if you dig supernatural romance.
4/5 stars
June holds the Ghibli-a-thon but also lots of holidays for my family so we will see how much I actually get read. So far my tentative TBR is 5 books but we will see where the days take me.

Reputation: I have a lot of emotions
Alright so the Saturday after Reputation came out, I bought the album on itunes because I loved the singles and because @itspileofgoodthings and @thelonelybrilliance have long been winning me over to Taylor Swift.  I spent the next two or three hours listening to the album, and Emma was amazing and listened to me freaking out.  However, I can’t not share my initial reactions with Maria, so girl, this transcript of my reactions is dedicated to you and Emma and I hope you enjoy!
1.  “Ready for It”
I wasn’t expecting Ready for It to be the first song but the name fits and honestly it is a GREAT choice because it has the cool intense intro thing idk what is that called a bass thing?  It is a great mix of the intensity and also the sweet breathless flowing faery melody
I don’t know how to talk about music
I just love it
2.  “End Game”
End Game isn’t my fave but I liked it “I wanna be your a-team” :) and the friendship between ed and taylor is sweet
3.  “I Did Something Bad”:
HOLY HECK  I LOVE I DID SOMETHING BAD WHAT NOW THE SOUND My JAM
I LOVE IT I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY IT’S DELIGHTFUL AND LIKE I KNOW IT’S OVER THE TOP KINDA BUT THAT MAKES IT AMAZING “I DON’T REGRET IT ONE BIT BECAUSE HE HAD IT COMING AND I’D DO IT OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN” I LOVE THAT PART AND HOW IT DESCENDS AND DEEPENS
MAYBE SHE IS A WITCH AND MAYBE SHE ISN’T BUT HECK SIGN HER UP FOR THE BURNING
And my fave is that this is the same singer who in a few songs sings “Call It What You Want”
4.  “Don’t Blame Me”
It’s like the classic lady killer in love trope but reversed.  And I swear there are fictional characters out there I can connect this to but I have to think
OMG IT’S SO CATCHY AND I AM EVEN OK WITH HER SAYING I’M YOUR BABY EVEN THOUGH I USUALLY CAN’T STAND THAT TERM USED ROMANTICALLY
5.  “Delicate”
Delicate is so aptly named it is so tentative and fragile and that frightened feeling of “I think this is love?? Would you hate me if I told you that?”
6.  “Look What You Made Me Do”
I. LOVE. LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO.  Despite the chorus, which is kind of bland and repetitive but the rest of the song is so freaking awesome like I don’t even care and I even sing along enthusiastically to it and maybe have started to appreciate it (the chorus).
The song has the same delicious musical vibe as I did something bad.  It’s: don’t mess with me anymore, I am so done with y’all, I don’t even care anymore, I’m the nightmare now......except secretly underneath you know there IS caring for other people’s opinions and yearning to love and be loved and that makes it even better??
7.  “So It Goes”
I love the first verse best, the magician , the mesmerizing, the dark enchantment...and I say dark because I don’t know how I feel about the rest of the lyrics...but the SOUND is amazing and I am totally already making up a story in my head to reconcile my conflicted feelings because the music here and taylor’s voice and the whispered 1, 2, 3 have entranced me--like magic
8.  “Gorgeous”
Gorgeous....GORGEOUS!  WHISKEY ON ICE, SUNSET AND VINE, WHAT BEAUTIFUL EVOCATIVE IMAGERY!!!
I love Emma’s connection with her story Match, but also...don’t laugh too much...you know how I love Dick Grayson, and I feel this is literally how I would feel if I were in the same room with him.  Overwhelmed by his stupid pretty face and unable to function properly let alone say hello
Gorgeous is THE unexpected crush song, the oh my gosh I just met a masterpiece, the I don’t believe in love at first sight I mean I thought I didn’t, the I would literally die if you looked me in the eye because that would be a fairytale and if we actually fell in love I don’t know what I would do
THAT RING OF THE SPOON ON THE CHAMPAGNE GLASS (IN MY HEAD AT LEAST) IS A MAGICAL FAIRY BELL, OR MAYBE A FAIRY’S LAUGHTER, OR THE HERALD OF WEDDING RECEPTIONS AND CALLS FOR THE BRIDE AND GROOM TO KISS
IT’S THE IMAGINATION AND THE BIRTH OF CRAZY BEAUTIFUL HOPES
9.  “Getaway Car”
Did Taylor just riff off of A Tale of Two Cities??? And run with it?  I STRUCK A MATCH AND BLEW YOUR MIND
I CANNOT WITH THIS SONG UGH MY HEART this song is BEAUTIFUL and TRAGIC
It’s a love brilliant and glorious like a sun flare, its a desperate wish for something better than the stupid mistakes of the past and bitter fights and broken hearts
Like here she has met this wonderful nigh perfect man who is just as in love and ready as she is to jump in that car and leave the world and everything awful behind but which is more important the devastation they are fleeing from or the vision they dream of?
And whatever the answer to that is, it doesn’t matter because the future they hoped for in their hearts could be nothing more than an wish, a mirage, because as wonderful as both of them are, they are just not fated for each other, they just won’t love each other like they want to
And SHE LEFT HIM AND CALLS HERSELF A TRAITOR AND FEELS SHE DESERVES WHAT SHE GETS FOR THAT--THAT SHOT THROUGH THE HEART, THAT SHE FIRED
BUT IT ALSO HAD TO HAPPEN
AND IT IS THIS TANGLE OF VINES OF MISERY AND BEAUTY AND GRACE...YES GRACE BECAUSE AS MUCH AS THIS ALL MAKES ME WANT TO CRY THERE IS STILL A FEELING THAT DESPITE THE GRIEF AND HURT THIS ISN’T LIKE OTHER TIMES WHEN SHE HAS BROKEN UP WITH SOMEONE
BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT SO MUCH WRONG FOR EACH OTHER AS JUST NOT RIGHT FOR EACH OTHER
AND SO WHILE THE HURT IS SHARP IT IS NOT SO DEADLY TO LOVE IN GENERAL
Okay I have listened to it four times I need to move on
10.  “King of My Heart”
Ok maybe it’s just because I am coming down from Getaway Car but I am not as into King of My Heart at least music-wise.  The lyrics are sweet and precious though, just the sound doesn’t capture me like the rest of the rest of the songs
The term “King of My Heart” is a really beautiful term, styling the man as someone who not only has her love but also her respect...this is someone who does not need to impress her with fancy cars, he just needs to be him
My fave lyric: “Late in the night, the city’s asleep / Your love is a secret I’m hoping, dreaming, / dying to keep”
And you can just imagine sitting on a rooftop far far above the distant city lights, with the faint hum of traffic, and no one knows that your world has shifted and broken and been shaped into something new, and so you nestle the gift of his love in your heart and just wonder how in the world any of this is real
11.  “Dancing with Our Hands Tied”
DANCING WITH OUR HANDS TIED HURTS MY HEART.  IT HURTS BECAUSE IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE A DOOMED LOVE AND SHE TRIED SO HARD TO IGNORE THE FORESIGHT SHE HAD
And she tried so hard to hold on
“My, my love had been frozen Deep blue, but you painted me golden Oh, and you held me close Oh, how was I to know what”
THIS.  THIS HURTS
Because it’s like he tried and it seemed like things could be good and beautiful, and there might be a chance for it all to work out, but it’s telling that he wasn’t able to change her, to unfreeze her love.  He only painted over it...gold yes, but paint nonetheless
Her certainty, “I knew” and then the telling truth “I had a bad feeling.”  Some things are too good to be true, too sweet to last when the bitter, callous, selfish world wants what it wants
“Can we dance / oh, through an avalanche” like what an impossible task, what a beautiful wish.  A love like that...would be everything.  Withstanding all the world together, no matter the wounds and hurt, picking each other up and moving on after every hit.  And it doesn’t seem to have worked out this time?  But maybe it will
12.  “Dress”
AAAAHHHHH DRESS IS REALLY PRETTY SOUNDING AND I LIKE CERTAIN OF THE LYRICS BUT UH I JUST CAN’T IT’S TOO MUCH
Slow down, girl :)  but also some of it is really cute.  I could maybe handle it better if she didn’t say she didn’t want him like a best friend because I need it to be both..ah well
On the other hand I love the lyrics to the verse about the flash back, and the lines “Even in my worst times, you could see the best of me” and they do expound upon friendship and love and make the Eros more palatable
13.  “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things”
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA i LOVE THIS IS WHY WE CAN’T HAVE NICE THINGS IT’S SO FUNNY
It moves past bitterness and is just like LOL yeah I’m not dealing with you, peace out, bye
*full out cackle* I CAN’T EVEN SAY IT WITH A STRAIGHT FACE I’M DYING
And it’s almost like she is talking to a little kid at one point.  Look, son, you break stuff I gotta take it away, when will you learn
I NEED VIDEOS TO LIKE FIFTY TV SHOWS FOR THIS I CAN’T
14.  “Call It What You Want”
AND NOW WE MOVE ON TO MY FAVE.  CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT!  EVERYTHING IS HEALED!!!
After the ups and downs of the album, of life...everything still matters, still happened, previous loves and previous heart-wounds and previous sins but also none of it threatens her life anymore, her heart
“My castle crumbled overnight I brought a knife to a gunfight They took the crown but it’s alright All the liars are calling me one Nobody’s heard from me for months I’m doing better than I ever was”
THE MOST BRILLIANT JUXTAPOSITION
The songs begins with her home, her dreams destroyed, with her bad decisions open for the world to mock, with her crown kicked down a hill by detractors and fools and the wisest alike
But she says it is alright.  It’s okay.  And we wonder why?
People call her a liar, say she is fake, say whatever they think or want.  Maybe she is gone forever--who has seen Taylor at all, let alone knows who she really even is at this point...
And so we all think, maybe this is it.  Maybe Taylor is dead.
BUT ACTUALLY
SHE IS BETTER THAN SHE EVER WAS!!!!
the old Taylor is dead? I THINK NOT
She has merely walked (flown) down the path we all must take, and maybe she has stepped on more thorns or fallen to the dirt more often, maybe she has scraped knees and heart-blood seeping through her white sweaters, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t found a life she happy to live, things worth fighting for, someone who will fight for her...someone who she doesn’t need to fight, only cherish
And so she can sing whatever the hell she wants, “I Did Something Bad” or “Getaway Car” or “Look What You Made Me Do” or “Gorgeous”
It’s ALL Taylor
..........................when the heck did I come to care so much
“My baby’s fit like a daydream” lol this is so cute and she seems so proud of that and it’s adorable
“Walking with his head down I’’m the one he’s walking to” I CANNOT!!! HE DOESN’T SEE HER WATCHING HIM BUT HE JUST WALKS TOWARD HER, SO FOCUSED, PROBABLY CAUGHT UP IN HOW MUCH HE LOVES HER, OR MAYBE THINKING OF NOTHING IMPORTANT BUT SHE JUST LOVES HIM SO MUCH AND IT’S LIKE WHEN YOU SEE SOMEONE DOING SOMETHING INSIGNIFICANT, LIKE YOUR MOM COOKING DINNER OR YOUR BROTHER BENT OVER HIS HOMEWORK AND YOU JUST GO “I FREAKING LOVE THIS PERSON”
My fave verse: “All my flowers grew back as thorns Windows boarded up after the storm He built a fire just to keep me warm”
HE JUST QUIETLY LOVES HER JUST SEES HER THORNS AND IS LIKE THAT’S NICE AND PRESSES HER PETALS AND POINTS ALIKE INTO HIS HEART AND HE KNOCKS ON HER SHUTTERS TILL SHE OPENS THEM
Also OMG remember how in Dancing with Our Hands Tied her love was frozen?  HE DOESN’T PAINT HER TO LOOK BRIGHTER AND WARMER NO HE FREAKING BUILDS A FIRE TO WARM HER
“All the drama queens taking swings All the jokers dressing up as kings” THERE IS ONLY ONE KING OF HER HEART
“They fade to nothing when I look at  him And I know I make the same mistakes every time Bridges burn, I never learn At least I did one thing right I did one thing right” ASDFGHJKL THE QUIET PEACE THAT COMES FROM THIS
“I’m laughing with my lover Making forts under the covers Trust him like a brother”
This is not a love so passionate that it shatters like stressed glass.  no, it is a love warm and intense and real and giving and receiving and thoughtful and playful
TRUST HIM LIKE A BROTHER GOSH THERE IS NO LINE I LOVE MORE.  IF YOU CANNOT TRUST YOUR MAN LIKE YOU DO YOUR BRO, TO CARE FOR YOU AND BACK YOU UP AND FIGHT FOR YOU AND TELL YOU WHEN YOU ARE BEING STUPID AND FORGIVE YOU AND ASK FOR FORGIVENESS AND ALL THAT
THEN WHAT ARE YOU
IF YOU CAN’T JOKE AS MUCH OR BE AS DEADLY SERIOUS AS YOU CAN WITH A BROTHER
THEN WE JUST CAN’T BE A THING
“I recall late November, holding my breath Slowly I said, ‘You don’t need to save me But would you run away with me?’ Yes (would you run away?)
YESSSSSS LOVE LOVE LOVE IT DO IT TAY RUN AWAY WITH THIS GUY
15.  “New Year’s Day”
GENTLE AND ALL THE LOVE AND FLUTTERING FEELING OF A BELOVED HAND SQUEEZING YOURS THREE! TIMES IN A TAXI
“Candle wax and Polaroids on the hardwood floor” anyone who doubts Taylor’s poetic abilities can shut the heck up thanks
“Don’t read teh last page But I stay when you’re lost, and I’m  scared And you’re turning away” So hopeful and so nervous at the same time
“Please don’t ever become a  stranger Whose laugh I could recognize anywhere” AAAAHHHHH RIGHT IN THE FEELS I AM DEAD

So since I’m the biggest magical girl buff. I’m going to start thinking of Moon Moon aus  THESE ARE JUST QUICK NOTES THAT IM WRITING AS THEY COME TO ME
Shugo Chara:
Moon has two shugo charas much like Utau, they are good and evil centric. One of them is a dark witch. Her chara change chant is ‘abra ka dabra!’. Since shugo chara is a show steeped in character development and coming to realizations about who you are as a person which is ingrained into the very fight mechanics and transformations of the characters I want this to be a verse where Moon comes to accept the good and bad of herself and stop seeing her sides in black and white. The real and the fake.
So to kind of show that Moon doesnt quite understand that shes not a completely evil person even though she does have ‘evil’ parts of her, her dark magician side will have hatched while the white magician stays in her egg for a good portion of her arc.
Her dark magician shugo chara is a reflection of how a lot of her more harsher tendencies come from the frustration of having to hide a lot of who she is and amplifies her already more snarkier and rude tendencies. So her chara change is going to be really angry and mean. It can take the form of her either just TEARING INTO PEOPLE or acting out in a violent or aggressive manner. A small black witch hat appears ont he side of her head during chara changes.
Her white magician side is kind of like Moons Dia in a way. She’s like the relentless voice in her that forces her to save others. Moon has this urge to save people that is so ingrained into her and she can’t ignore it no matter how hard she tries and that’s kind of who I imagine that shugo chara to be. Just a personification of that voice. Her shugo chara incantation is  Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo
Moons big thing is that her fake side is always good and kind, the only parts of herself she can understand as not fake is the side of her thats pent up frustration, anger and spite. And therefore she associates all things bad as her real self and any good that comes from her as being fake. Shes basically unable to understand that her ‘true self’ has anything good. Basically she thinks of herself as an inherently bad person
So when she can come to that realization her white shugo chara can hatch
I kind of like itim and puti for dark and white respectively. The words being tagalog for dark and white since shes filipino.
I feel like Moon would be either the Joker chair or the Queens chair chair with rhub as the Aces chair. Like I USUALLY dont do the whole OH MY HARACTERS THE MAIN AND SHE DOES THE MAIN CHARATER COOL THING. but more than any of them i feel like for Moons character arc she’d fit into the main character seat.
Ojamajo Doremi:
A blue green witch apprentice who was basically forced to become one. Moon, in any universe hates the idea of having to practice real magic. She sees it as easy as opposed to the challenge of a regular human making the illusion of magic. Not to mention if real magic existed she feels like the art of her craft would go unnoticed or uncared about which she soon finds out is the case in the witch world. The witch Moon discovers is overwhelmingly kind and nice and caring making her someone Moon is constantly made to feel annoyed and untrusting over. Eventually Moon comes to see her as a mother figure. Moon has a learning partner in the form of Rhubarb a young wizard boy whos caused so much trouble that he was forced upon Moons mentor who took him in with loving arms. They start of as just two people learniung magic side by side but in no time at all they become extremely close, knowing each other on a level possible only for them. Rhub ends up going to school like Moon where he learns how to actually interact and connect with other people over the course of the next few years.
As a note, Doremi has a really big focus on family and this overall sense of community. No character is just a background character and by the end of 200 episodes you have a really good idea of dynamics between 3 classrooms worth of children and their own personal lives and problems along with family dynamics. I really wanted to capture that feeling so I pushed moon and rhub to actually have relationships outside of their own small worlds that I usually leave them to be isolated in. Even in Moon main verse she only ever actually connected with Lilly and everyone else shes cold and indifferent to.
Tokyo Mew Mew:
I did a bit of research into endangered species and because Moon has a real spiritual connection with the sea. This yearning to constantly be submerged in the waters and swimming, I wanted her to be a sea animal and also have it be a specifically filipino one. I’m thinking the Irrawady dolphin?? But its not fast or graceful which is a big thing for moon so I’ll have to do more research later. Subject to change. I like to think she has a green blue magician themed outfit complete with a top hat. Her magical girl transformation would be made with a traditional magic wand. like the clothes appear on her like shes making them appear with the wand. The wand is something that can be used like a staff.
She is an AMAZING swimmer and is of course extremely drawn to the water. She can swim even in storms, hold her breath for long periods of time and can sense when a storm is coming.
These are ideas im kinda just throwing around honestly nothing concrete but Im playing with it lol
I might do one for fushigi boshi no futago hime (which honestly isnt the bEST magical girl but its a guilty pleasure of mine)  or sugar rune later. Like the latter honestly won’t be too different than her normal verse except she gets paid for capturing peoples hearts. She’s not too popular in the witch world but in the human world? Absurdly popular. Grabbing all them hearts. Idk it won’t take a lot of explaining. Not enough to warrant its own section ya know.
I can’t think of any other magical girl I want to do a section on. But fi anyone cant hink of one (that isnt madoka magica) Id be grateful cause I can’t think of any. Like theres mermaid melody but that onyl has room for the main 7. Cause one girl for each of the seven seas. Im thinking kamichama karin but the charactes and transformations arent really open world and kind of just for those characters for plot purposes.

Drunk In Love // Spencer x Reader One Shot
Prompt: idk if you're taking requests but can you do a spencer x reader where the team is at a party at penelope's and spencer and the reader get drunk and sneak off in the apartment and have sex? then someone hears something and catches them? and the next day it's all laugh and stuff and they think spence has just lost his v card so he has to admit about his relationship with the reader? that was a very long explanation but i feel like it would be nice :) thanks
Requested by: Anon
Warning: SMUT
If the team wasn’t on a case on a Friday night, they made it a habit to get together for dinner. You had all just gotten back to Quanitco earlier that day and you could all use a fun evening.
Penelope had stocked up on her favorite wine for the party at her house, making sure it was extra strong. She loved sitting back and watching her coworkers get stupid. And you guys were already well beyond that point.
The case hadn’t necessarily been hard, but it was long. Nobody got much sleep, so your head had been pounding by the time it was over. Nothing a little alcohol could’t fix, you thought to yourself as you downed your third glass of wine. It was classy as long as it was in a glass, right?
You eyed Spencer from across the room as he crouched down in front of Henry and Jack to show off his magic tricks. Something about a man who knew magic AND was good with kids made your heart skip a beat.
You watched as his slender fingers twirled around a deck of cards, mesmerizing the children in front of him. At the end of the trick, he looked down at the tiny boys, waiting for their reaction.
“How did you do that?!” The boys gaped in unison.
You made your way over to the trio, smiling at the display in front of you.
“A magician never reveals his secrets,” Spencer teased as the boys shook their little heads in disbelief.
You laughed from behind them, making your presence known. Spencer caught your eye, noticing the darkness of your pupils. He handed the desk of cards to Henry and Jack, which distracted them from the two of you.
“Will you reveal them to me?” You whispered low enough that the boys wouldn’t hear you.
Spencer gulped before nodding quickly and taking your hand in his. He lead you down the hall and to the right where he knew Penelope’s guest bedroom was located. He closed the door behind him, forgetting to lock it.
You were so wrapped up in the moment that you didn’t seem to notice, taking his bottom lip in between your teeth and gently tugging it down. A low growl rumbled from the back of his throat, causing you to smile. You couldn’t get enough of Spencer Reid.
You were submerged in the smell of red wine from Spencer’s opened mouth as you got him to moan, rubbing your hand slowly against the crotch of his pants. After a little more teasing, you decided to let him out of his misery, unclasping his belt in one swift motion.
You were getting good at being quick because the two of you always had to be careful when you hooked up. Spencer didn’t want anyone to know about your relationship, and you respected that.
You took your own pants off before being abruptly lifted into the air. Spencer walked you backwards against the wall, positioning you so that you were ready to go. Moans and curses escaped your wine-stained lips as Spencer thrust himself inside of you, using his arms to push you deeper onto him.
You knew you were being loud, but you didn’t realize just how loud until it was too late. The bedroom door had been ripped open so suddenly that the two of you lost your balance, falling to the floor with a thud.
“Oh my god!” JJ screamed as she covered Henry’s eyes.
You hid behind Spencer, not wanting anyone to see your naked body. He fumbled with his pants as he blocked you from everyone’s view.
“I-it’s not what it looks like,” Spencer stuttered as he grabbed your pants from the floor and put them behind his back for you to take.
You put them on quicker than you ever had as you felt everyone’s eyes on you.
“Pretty boy’s finally getting some I see,” Morgan taunted as you and Spencer stood up from where you had fallen.
Your cheeks felt as if they were set ablaze as you straightened your outfit out, smoothing the fabric down.
You didn’t speak to Spencer for the rest of the night, afraid of what your coworkers would say. You already knew you were going to get a thousand texts from the girls later that night asking for details.
Monday morning rolled around and you were dreading every second of it. You still hadn't gotten over the embarrassment from what had occurred at Penelope’s house on Friday.
You kept your head down as you made your way into the BAU department, not wanting to make eye contact with anyone. That didn’t stop them from teasing you, though.
“You’re late. Were you busy with boy wonder?” Emily jeered as you sat down at your desk.
The other members of the team snickered along at your expense.
“Very funny,” you replied sarcastically.
Today was going to suck if it was going to be filled with constant jokes about you and Spencer.
“Speak of the devil,” Rossi laughed as you all turned your heads to see Spencer walking into the bullpen. “How was your first weekend as a man?”
“What?” Spencer responded, confused by the giggles ricochetting around the room.
“You’re one of us now,” Rossi taunted as the others broke out into laughter.
You caught on to the fact that he was alluding to Spencer no longer being a virgin. If only they knew…
“You guys really thought I was a virgin?” Spencer pouted, looking around the room.
Everyone nodded in response except you, who sat there with wide eyes.
“Were you not?” JJ asked, intrigued by the topic of conversation.
“No!” Spencer retorted, somewhat offended that everyone thought he had never had sex before.
“Oh really? Then who have you fucked?” Morgan questioned, clearly unconvinced.
Spencer looked down at his feet as a hue of pink dusted his cheeks.
“That’s what I thought,” Morgan laughed when Spencer didn’t answer.
The team departed to go off and do their work, leaving Spencer alone for the time being. Throughout the day, everyone made small remarks to him, asking about his ‘first time’.
By the end of the day, he’d had enough. As you were reaching for your coat to leave for the day, you heard Spencer shouting.
“I’ve had sex before!” You heard from the briefing room as the doors opened and an infuriated Spencer walked out, followed closely by Emily and Morgan.
“It’s okay Spencer, you don’t have to lie,” Emily said, patting his back.
He shrugged her off, walking over to where you were standing in place.
“I’m not lying, okay! You see this girl right here? We’ve had sex,” Spencer announced, pointing to you.
Your eyes widened at his sudden outburst.
“We know,” Morgan stated.
“No, you don’t. We’ve had sex. A lot of times. In a lot of different places. In a lot of different positions,” Spencer rambled as your cheeks filled with heat. “Like, a lot, a lot.”
“Excuse me?” JJ asked as she entered the room, clearly confused by what was going on.
“Is this true..?” Morgan asked, turning to you.
You nodded slowly, looking up at Spencer. He stared back at you, smiling at the fact that you had confirmed that he wasn’t a virgin.
“We’re, uh, dating,” you mumbled, looking down at your chipped nail polish.
Spencer nodded along in agreement.
“What!”
“Since when!”
“You’re saying Reid has actually had sex before?!”
You giggled at all the questions being thrown at the two of you as Spencer wrapped an arm around your waist and pulled you in tighter. It was such a relief to finally have all of this off your chest. Now you could talk to your girlfriends about how great Spencer was in bed.

dude how
Tagged by: @pengwenno lol how do you keep tagging I pretty much never do these
1. Are you named after someone?
lol so my dad was a daycamp teacher for a lil when he was in seminary and apparently I was named after a girl in his thing. he liked the name (it was a Christian daycamp, a girl was named eve, wow. such creativity)((also when I asked my dad, I was surprised, and I so I said “you were a ga-daycamp teacher?”))
2. When’s the last time you cried?
that was probably when I had a breakdown a few weeks ago. It was a really awful week for me, plus that interview was like the next weekend, so I just kind of snapped.
3. Do you like your handwriting?
yes. i love it. my f’s are all fancy and my y’s don’t loop so they just look like a u with a long tail
4. What’s your favorite lunch meat?
turkey. it’s funny because I hate actual turkey, but I love the lunch meat turkey
5. Do you have kids?
lol no. I’m probably not ever going to, either. i don’t like how high-matinence dogs are, I could never handle a kid. my brother is good with them tho
6. If you were another person, would you be friends with yourself?
honestly? absolutely. I’d be able to bounce shitty insults off of me
7. Do you use sarcasm?
oh, boy, i wonder
8. Do you still have your tonsils?
this is a very sorey subject with me. there is actually a 99.9999% chance that I’m going to be getting them out this summer even though i fucking h ate surgery
9. Would you bungee jump?
h ell no. abso-fucking-loutely n ot. I’d like to stay alive, thank you very much

15. Red or pink?
gh tf idk
16. What’s the least favorite physical thing you like about yourself?
I’m assuming what I don’t like about my looks? honestly, I don’t have much problem with this (that sounds like bragging) unless I’m compared with others, but probably my arms and legs? I have a mild case of keratosis pilaris, and while I don’t really get bothered about it by my peers, (scary brother, plus i am nice to everyone) it’s shitty having tiny red bumps on your arms and thighs
17. What color pants and shoes are you wearing right now?
I took my shoes off already, and I’m wearing black pants

24. Hair color?
brown. thats literally it. it’s just brown, with light brown and blonde undertones or whatever the fuck people say to make themselves sound prettier

31. Summer or winter?
whenever it’s one, I wish for the other, so idk
32. Hugs or kisses?
I’d say hugs, but my hugs are like really long things where I wrap my arms around you and bury my face in your chest or whatever and stand there for like 30 minutes, so..
33. What book are you currently reading?
eh, I have the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them original screenplay, but I’m not really reading it. school has kept me too busy
34. Who do you miss right now?
I’m not sure if it would be qualified as missing, but I want to try and talk to this old friend of mine that I had like.. 4 or 5 years ago before I moved schools
35. What’s on your mouse pad?
lol i don’t have one
36. What’s the last TV show you watched?
I just finished the first season of The Magicians about an hour or two ago. (I love Eliot)
37. What’s the best sound?
raaaain. or sometimes if you’re really desperate, when you tune with the whole band and it’s actually in tune
38. YouTube mashups or ambient noise?
i have no fucking idea what you’re talking about, so ambient noise??
39. What’s the farthest you have traveled?
I’m sad. I have family that lives in California, so from the east coast to the west.
40. Do you have a special talent?
I mean, everyone always tells me how great of a writer I am, so I guess that could be it
41. Where were you born?
Burbank, California (but we moved lol)
42. People you’d like to participate in this survey?
literally anyone. It was actually pretty fun.
