It’s ok for him to be held accountable for tone deaf things. The optics of he and Brittany (and Patrick was also there) simply aren’t good.

It’s ok to read the room sometimes and not think the world revolves around you just because you won a championship.

That’s not saying they wouldn’t have done that, but did you notice how it became public because they were getting called out/bad press? It’s why we conveniently know through media outlets that he donated $100k and that Brittany/Patrick (with photographic evidence) visited the hospital where some of the children who were shot/injured.

Yes, it’s a kind gesture….but why is TMZ reporting it? They were submitted the photo of them at the hospital.

Of course this is all after we got the timely “exclusive” from The Daily Mail first that Taylor was so shaken that she called Travis AND Brittany.

Taylor, who also donated $100k, and the only reason everyone found out was because a fan tweeted about it.

So no one is telling them how to grieve, but they sure are looking like they’re trying to convince the public that they have done *something* besides celebrate the Super Bowl win.

Because again, the tone deaf optics they’re being called out for are a bad look for THEM since their public profiles have elevated even more due to association with Taylor.

It’s like when a celebrity says something fucked up about a group of people and gets bad press. The first thing they do is issue a (publicist generated) “apology” and pledge a donation to an organization (or organizations) that caters towards that group. It doesn’t mean they’re sorry for what they said, it just means they want people to get off their backs about what they said.

if you arent anticipating nsfw being made of your public media (not private ocs, but as in a media made for public consumption that gains a large fanbase), then maybe you arent ready to be a creator imo. rule 34 of the internet exists for a reason, as a creator you can be disgusted all you want but you physically cant stop people from making it, and trying to is rude at best and censorship at worst. the best you can do is avoid it, block out tags, filter things. most of all just learn to expect it? its a guarantee no matter what.
