Love your analysis of Yosuke’s character, it’s so detailed and fun to read! I’m kinda curious, what are your thoughts on his characterization in the fighting and dancing games?
Waaah thank you so much!! I'm glad you enjoyed them 💖
Oooh I actually LOVE his characterisation in p4d and p4au, probably because I think it brought out all my favourite parts of Yosuke and it really felt like Yosuke had matured a lot compared to his first appearance.
In P4A/U for example we see a lot of thoughts from other characters, and I really love that it's revealed how the others - not just Yu, but also Yukiko and Chie - rely on Yosuke a lot for emotional support, as the morale booster of the team, for direction when they don't know what to do, as the glue that keeps the group together, and it's so fantastic because it's so unlike how Yosuke sees himself. A lot of Yosuke's POV also reveals how much overthinking he does and how, despite his empathy in noticing when others are frustrated or worried, he feels like he doesn't do a very good job at cheering them up, even though when we look at their POVs we see that he did!! Both Yukiko and Chie call him up when they were worried about their friends going missing BECAUSE they feel better from talking to him!! Sorry but this particular factoid, this specific gap, sits in my head like a spitroast being rotated all the time because I cannot get over it. But he's trying though - we can see his motivations for the things that he says and how he tries to lighten the mood and yeah. It's great. I went into P4AU thinking it was going to be whatever but let me just say that was the game that triggered my single-minded obsession about Yosuke and the reason why this blog exists LOL like I was very much souyo and yosuke-brained aftert P4G but oh boy. P4AU tipped me over from obsessed to building this damn shrine for him :'D
He always laughs deprecatingly at himself even in the post p4g games, like in P4D - when he dances well he has a line that's like, "not such a disappointment after all" and it, again, really shows how he has such a poor perception of himself that he doesn't see his own good points, like the fact that he held out the second longest during their dance training, losing only to Rise, as pointed out by Yu. He's naturally talented and keeps up well with everyone elses dance style, but he doesn't really notice that either? Also a side thing I find hilarious/cute/endearing in P4D is also how Kanji exposes Yosuke's idol-loving-hours and Yosuke gets extremely embarrassed about it, because at his heart Yosuke does still like that kind of (somewhat) superficial thing, but he doesn't want people to know! It's a stark contrast to how he was earlier in P4G where he's more open about checking out girls (again, the whole "is this overcompensation" vs "is this a product of bro culture from his childhood friends" is a conversation that we can have) but it's a reflection of how that kind of talk tapers out a lot as the game progresses, and P4D was really consistent with the kind of growth that P4G gave Yosuke, instead of reducing him into that best-bro-friend stereotype, and for a game that was actually so short in narrative substance compared to P4AU, it was great. (I'm also convinced that P4D was trying to tell us Yosuke and Yu were dating but I'm not going to start on that again LOL)
And I think ultimately the reason why I feel like P4AU and P4D showcased a lot of growth for Yosuke is in his relationships with other people, because as much as Yosuke worries about how he's remained static, I think the fact that the others treat him with such respect (like when the first years and Teddie acknowledge that Yosuke is basically the team wrangler, and the difference between Yosuke at the start of P4G/in Magician compared to P4AU/D was someone who had become a lot more receptive about forming genuine relationships with other people instead of just protecting himself by surrounding himself with superficial relationships and yeah. yeah.

can we get some more of those ursa and azula head cannons that you have no proof for. i liked them they seem fun (especially the one about the sweet tooth they have)
Sure! (Just a little late I guess)
Azula and Ursa both have a beautiful singing voice. When Azula was little she awed her vocal teachers but when Ursa left she stopped taking lessons. And she was actually pretty happy about it. She enjoyed other subjects more. They also made her sad even though she couldn’t figure out why. When Ursa came back and would quietly hum to herself it made Azula realize why. When they work on bonding together they tried singing classes together and had a few beautiful mother daughter duets.
Ursa has a very powerful “not angry, just disappointed” face. It cuts Zuko and Azula to the bone. While Ursa used it a lot on Azula Zuko was not home free. While he gets in trouble with her less Azula just so happens to share the same face. So growing up he got it from the both of them, even more often post war. When Azula was five Iroh was visiting and she gave him the face. He laughed very hard never having seen such an expression on a small child.
How about something sad? In Ursa’s last few years she started to go senile. Often forgetting when it is or how her relationships have grown. The worst of it is when she forgets that she and Azula reconciled or that she was still living away from her children. She would cry at the thought of not having Azula in her life. And it could take awhile for them to assure Ursa that Azula is still with her and that she is home with her children and grandchildren.
To continue spy Ursa from last time, after Ursa left Azula would write letters to her. Often times they were in the form of a report. Little things that Azula would notice. Like the type of people her father was seeing, the conversations she eavesdropped on, but also things like the changing of seasons, or Ursa specific decorations being removed.
Some more happy thoughts to end out. In Ursa’s youth she loved to play the volleyball type game Azula liked. And she was competitive. Post war people can’t decide if it is better to have them together on the same team and have them crush others, or be forced to play game after game as they try to beat each other. One year Zuko just burned the net because he got fed up with them. He regretted it when he got both of them doing the “not angry just disappointed” face at him.
Thank you for the ask.

Grian is a simple fungi fae living a boring life in an old, old forest.
Grian gets humans visitors, he doesn’t kill them out of curiosity and boredom.
They come back with more humans, and build a little village next just beyond the borders of his forest, a place far from any other human settlements.
Fungi Fae Grian now has neighbors, and if he is lucky, they won’t be too terrified when he greets a mustache-having one thats straying close to his borders.
-TeratoTomato
The humans are respectful of his land in a way that others haven't been. Though they cultivate areas for farmland, their waste produce forms big composts for his fungi to grow. They rotate out the fields so they don't kill the land completely, and they replant trees for each one they cut down.
It's fascinating to watch them progress. They don't wander far into the forest, only as far as they need to for resources. Grian enjoys following them, and decides to be kind and leave their chalk markings on the trees untouched.
The mustached one seems younger. He keeps coming closer to the forest, but not seemingly for a specific reason. It's interesting. Grian might even say it seems like he's curious about something.
Well, Grian might as well give him something to be curious about! He tries not to be scary. He doesn't even try any of the Fae tricks he knows! Not that he really... Needs to. This human would fall for every single one - surely the humans should've taught him better? He told Grian his name immediately! They need to give him silver, or something, jeez.
What's more surprising is when the human, Mumbo, keeps coming back only to talk to Grian. Grian has a fun game of making him jump each time, popping up where he least expects it. They'll sit and chat about anything and nothing. Grian learns about the humans in the village from Mumbo (oh he'd get so killed and/or kidnapped by any other fae), Grian tells Mumbo stories of the forest. He even teaches Mumbo about the fauna and what it is! He never lets Mumbo stray too far into the forest, though. He's not sure what the humans would think of that.
Then one night, Mumbo falls asleep as they're chatting. It's growing late, he'd usually have gone back already. Grian's pretty sure it's already too dark for humans to see without assistance.
He picks Mumbo up carefully, the mycelium beneath the ground guiding his way through the darkness and towards the village. He tries to avoid any humans, but one manages to surprise him. In more ways than one.
"Oh, there's Mumbo, thank goodness, we were starting to worry." The human doesn't attack Grian. They don't even accuse him of anything, just ushering Grian into the village. "You must be the supposed Fae he's so interested in. Thanks for bringing him back, he's always been a bit of a spoon like this. I hope he's not caused you any issues."
This human is Iskall (Grian can tell by the missing forearm.) They tell Grian which house is Mumbo's, to put him on the sofa ("He deserves the sore back.") And then he invites Grian to eat, they have some leftovers from dinner.
Grian decides to throw away his fears, accepting the invitation and sitting down with the humans. A lot have already gone to bed for the night, but Iskall introduces him to the ones that haven't. A lot seem very interested in his relationship with Mumbo. Grian isn't sure what to make of that.
Mumbo turns up the next day with a basket of freshly baked goods as a 'sorry', 'thank you' and 'Stress wouldn't let me leave unless I gave it to you.' Grian asks him about the questions the humans had about them.
Mumbo laughs nervously, rubbing the back of his neck, "They, uh, seem to have this impression I have a crush on you."
Grian hums. "And do you?"
"Um, I mean- uh-"
Grian creeps closer. "Because, let's say you do..." He rests a hand on Mumbo's hip. "How would this make you feel?"
"Good! Very good, in fact, um. Yes."
Grian laughs. He guesses he's got to teach Mumbo how to not get kidnapped by the Fae now.

How did the Wonderbolts find out/react to Spitfire and Rainbow's relationship?
Ok I will focus on Fleetfoot here because otherwise it'll be too long. I ended up drawing a few panels but can't finish them right now, so I'm giving you all the sketches.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hc Fleetfoot to know Spitfire the longest right after Soarin. They're close friends (Fleets considers Spitty her best friend even) and even though she's got a pretty intense rivalry with Rainbow, they also started a close and intense friendship after Rainbow joined. Fleetfoot considers her friendship to both to be very special.
The scene in question happens during some holiday, general WB vacation, or just a weekend. It's one of the AUs where Spitty and Rainbow start dating and get closer while still in the WBs. At some point they don't want to stay at home and want to show physical intimacy in public instead of acting like friends. But both being well known (especially Spitfire) immediately excludes all bigger and nearer towns. They can't just go out and hold hands and kiss without the press immediately writing about it and it ending in a huge scandal for the Wonderbolts.
They end up spending this specific date in a small village which hosts some minor festival that day. It's tiny, not that well known and is perfect for them. People don't recognize them outside of their uniforms and signature outfits.
It's pure happenstance that Fleetfoot is at the same no-name festival, visiting either an old friend or having to spend some time there due to some family issue. She notices the familiar, colorful hair in the corner of her eye. The hair is a lot more vibrant and visible in the up-do Rainbow wears - a bit foolish of her to not wear a cap like Spitfire. But Rainbow being able to test, investigate and discover her own femininity in the safety of their private time is a big part of her. Plus, Spitfire also didn't think it would be a problem.
From the outfit, Fleetfoot wouldn't have guessed it's really Rainbow further down the street. But she recognizes her hair and laughter immediately. As for Spitfire, even with a hat and glasses, she'd recognize her a mile away as well.
It's a bizarre scene for Fleetfoot and seeing them kiss feels like a gut punch. At this point she's often tried to push Spitfire to go out and at least have some sexy flings, some fun nights with nameless girls instead of her just drowning in WB work. Spitfire always dismissed her, saying she can focus on romance later when she can actually date someone in private and not have the press nonstop on her heels. Similarly Rainbow always denied liking someone and wanting to focus on being a great Wonderbolt member, being the newest addition. The most Fleetfoot got out of her, was doing silly "Smash or Pass" games the nights out after training or a big event.
Fleetfoot would never even have guessed that either would be interested in anyone, especially not each other. And seeing them in front of her seems is like a dream. She feels like she's seeing two completely different people in front of her and not her friends: Rainbow with her more delicate and feminine attire than usual, and Spitfire who's acting a lot more flirty, soft and seductive instead of her serious, rough or dudebro-joking attitude as captain.
Fleetfoot considered her relationship to both as special. She's not just "a friend" and that's the first reason why catching them in the act affects her this deeply.
The second reason is that she takes the Wonderbolts, their reputation, and especially the team bond just as serious as Spitfire. Seeing them involved romantically goes not only against the Wonderbolt code and rules, but would raise red flags even if it was allowed. There are a gazillion reasons why trouble could and - in Fleets' eyes - would follow. Can either separate work from relationship? Can they stay neutral? Will there be favoritism? Will Rainbow start to slack off? Will she distract Spitfire form her duties? Will there be silent grudges in the team? Will the team and performance suffer?
Fleets is usually pretty outgoing and wears her emotions on her sleeve. This time she swallows her anger and other complicated emotions and keeps quiet. The desire to just go up to and confront them is big - but she doesn't want this to end in a catastrophe for the team. Also she feels Spitfire could talk and explain herself and Rainbow out of it - probably playing it all down since Fleetfoot doesn't even have evidence.
So Fleetfoot waits for now, hoping to observe and collect evidence she can use against them once her judgement day comes. She's still convinced this is bad and will hurt everyone in the long run. But even with a very close eye on them, she doesn't notice anything. Their performance doesn't falter. They're both as motivated to be peak Wonderbolts as ever. There are no noticeable longer or romantic touches. No special eye gazing. Rainbow gets no special treatment, quite the opposite - Fleets wonders if maybe she gets more criticism and work than the others (which is 100% the case. Spitfire does overcompensate a bit in her attempt to hide their relationship) She doesn't see them meet up in a romantic way. She never sees a kiss or romantic gesture again. And even when she spies on them when they think they're all alone, they don't act differently to regular teammates.
There are days where Fleetfoot wonders if her mind way playing a trick on her and that she saw two other people that day. Only sometimes though. And with time moving on and her not seeing any bad consequences, her emotions towards this secret mellow out and transform into a different, more empathetic nature.
There is more going on and some follow-up with Fleetfoot and Rainbow which also covers Rainbow's insecurity about feminine clothing - but it's a long post already. I might want to doodle something for it as well, when that time comes.

Crews? Homebase? Headquarters?
Been thinking a lot about Crews in Blades/Forged in the Dark, and how I want to play with those ideas in Furry Crime Game (sidenote: I really need to come up with an actual title for this game before that sticks permanently).
The general idea of Crews in Blades "exist to create a legacy that will last beyond the founding members" (p. 91, BitD). My personal view of Blades is that it has a lot in common with Darkest Dungeon - its just as much about the moment to moment, zoomed in character-play as it is (maybe even more so) about the zoomed out progression that happens through the Crew and the world around the players.
Characters in Blades are not designed to stick around for very long. Stress, harm, and trauma pile up very quickly. I fondly call the game a "meatgrinder" and I'm not joking! Unless you are the most cautious player, your PC is going to get shredded (and cautious play is just not nearly as fun in Blades, it is way better to embrace the meatgrinder experience and go for it).
So anyways, Crews stick around, forming your table's legacy, while your characters get turned into ground beef. Got it. But, in all my experiences of playing and running Forged in the Dark games (which, most of them adopt very similar "meatgrinder" experiences to Blades, everyone seems to care waaaaaaay more about the characters over the Crew. Its very easy to forget about the Crew, when you're focused on your cool little Crime Guy that you want to keep alive as long as possible, because little crime guys are fun.
Now, I like Crews! I think they're an interesting piece of design and fit very well into the whole engine of Blades in the Dark. But for the style of play I love (character focused vs legacy focused), they can feel a little too "board game-y" to engage with.
Compared to Blades, I'm planning on having PCs in Furry Crime Game being a bit more sturdy than their BitD counterparts, so the design space for a lasting "legacy" isn't as important. But! The idea of having this shared advancement, that progresses as the group of PCs also advance is fun.
So, where I'm at right now is some sort of headquarters/homebase that the PCs all share that gets upgraded and evolves over time (building on ideas from Blades' turf mechanics I think). Actually, I think whatever this HQ thing is going to turn into is going to involve folding a lot of Crew and turf tech into one thing. The hard part will be making it feel like a character that the table wont forget about lol.
I think tying some new downtime actions to the HQ is an interesting way to go. @temporalhiccup's Twilight Throne has some really fun downtime actions that are great at setting scenes and exploring character relationships. So, creating downtime actions (which who knows, could maybe be upgraded as you play) that take place specifically within the HQ and provides a framework for exploring the HQ as a "character" and also for exploring your character (and their relationships with the other characters), feels particularly fruitful.
Still a looooooong way to go on designing this game, I really need to finish Dark Confluence first, but I think it's gonna be very cool once its done!
Here's a little peek at the doc's outline as a treat though.

should i read homestuck. like i feel it would be interesting so i could see what yall are talking about in regards to tlt but is homestuck actually good
"is homestuck good" - the greatest thread in the history of forums, locked by a moderator after 8129 pages of heated debate,
no but seriously, it highkey depends on 1. your definition of good and 2. your tolerance for stupid bullshit. as someone who read tlt and then hs, i'd say that being a fan of the chaotic aspect of tlt is a good predictor of being able to hang in with homestuck.
readmore because this. um. got long. the tl;dr is: i like homestuck a lot and i am glad i read it. i can't tell you if you should read it bc idk your tastes, but there is a lot to like and enjoy about it.
the official pitch for homestuck is something like "4 kids play a game and then a bunch of other shit happens." here's my pitch based on what the core of the story is to me:
several groups of characters across time, space, and reality are brought together in order to succeed at creating a new universe after their own are destroyed. this takes the form of a game, which is called sburb (by the humans) and sgrub (by the trolls). the characters must contend with an eternal battle against good and evil in which they are the deciding factor, and level up while following personalized quests. at its heart, homestuck is about relationships of every sort and how they shape us, growing up and the associated grief and loss, coming into ones identity and choosing who to be, predestination and fate, and stories themselves. it gets very meta at times, and the characters are semi to fully aware that they're characters, and attempt to subvert or escape that. it's got hordes of fleshed out, compelling characters, one of which will almost certainly glom onto you for the rest of your life, real emotion, extremely funny jokes, smart and exciting plotting, and some very cool moments. it more or less invented an entire new genre/medium, and plays with medium in a very cool way.
it is also clunky, hard to get into, and way too convoluted. you will never fully understand what's happening. there are tons of characters whose stories you will follow whom you simply do not care about. there are too many characters. it was written by an edgelord in 2009 so there's some unsavory humor and character writing. it's so fucking long. the ending kinda sucks because the fandom was so toxic that hussie simply wanted it over with. the fandom still kinda sucks tbh. so many people have wrong opinions about it. it requires a very specific lens to approach and understand it. i still dont understand what happened with that fucking puppet someone explain it to me.
overall, i'd say that if you think you want to read it, give it a shot. i have a complicated relationship with it but at the end of the day, i genuinely love the story and the characters and i know they will be with me forever. it certainly enhanced my understanding of tlt, and getting to read more of tamsyn's writing was such a bonus (even though her taste in pairings is. not the same as my own). and like honestly. it's just fun. even when you're going "wait what the fuck just happened" you're having fun. it's really goddamn funny too. it WILL change the way you speak and also think about romance forever.
the best way to read it is to have an experienced reader guide you, but if you or other people don't know anyone like that, here are my basic tips:
i think most people know this already, but download the unofficial homestuck collection. just do it. it's like 4 gigs and it's infinitely better than trying to read on the broken website, and it's even ad free. it can also be modded - for instance ik there's a slur replacer mod (lmao) if you don't want to read those
act 1 sucks to read. you're like what the fuck is this, THIS is homestuck?? the beginning is radically different from how it ends up, so just hang in there. for me, it really picked up somewhere in act 3. just focus on the silly fun the characters are having and you'll be good
things you should actually try to follow in the early acts: the concept of a sylladex existing (the various fetch modi are only there for jokes and eventually just kinda stop being a thing), where all the copies of the game are, what each kid's relationship with their guardian is like, the mechanics of the game and the lore behind it, including classpects and quests
things you do not have to waste brain space on: anything about how the totems work, what the various machines are, what the levels are, basically any of the jokes that would be funny to hussie's original intended audience of software engineers and rpg gamers. oh and the intermission with the midnight crew and the felt, just know that those are guys that exist and you'll be good.
and the biggest tip i have is just. go with it. suspend your disbelief. a lot of the worldbuilding doesn't really make sense, but it would be a worse story if it did. when the time shit and ectobiology come into play, literally just go ok got it and keep going, don't think too hard.
so yeah i don't even know if any of this is useful but i hope it helps you decide. and if you or anyone else have follow up questions send em!

here’s a question :3 uh do you have like any favourite anatomy or reference books/texts. or any tips for doing study’s??
sorry if this is like annoying or weird idk i’ve just been a little obsessed with your art lately. the way you capture shape and movement is so fantastic. you have such a talent for capturing characters personality through visual quirks too. idk like the way you draw ellie tlou is so specific. it’s not exactly on model but it’s kind of better lol. i can instantly tell most of what you need to know about her. same with your recent astarions like idk you’ve just managed to capture a real physicality about him that i think can be hard. idk i’m maybe biased but i think without any exposure to the game you could probably guess how he moves and sounds from your art.
idk uh sorry if this is worded weird i feel like i always do that LOL okay though anyways i adore your art it’s just so distinct. i’d eat it if i could. i’d honestly do a lot to capture even a fraction of the magic you’re creating. okay hope this message finds you well BYE
no need to feel self conscious about doing me a kindness in the form of gratifying to read, thoughtful observations of my fanart!!!!
thank you. very late response because i wanted to respond with some equally thoughtful advice and also let my ego calm down a bit, but..
im 'lazy' and like to keep drawing for fun as easy as possible. So i dont have any reference books hm... You obviously look at art and are able to relay to yourself and others what you saw and felt. thats the skill you should always indulge. looking at all kinds of things youre drawn to and observing why. best ref! (thanks again btw, best feeling being on the receiving end of that. to be... astarion voice: Seen in the Eyes of Another)
I have studied (and continue to do so when i get the chance) figure drawing at my community college, which was a big leap. i ended up focusing a lot on the relationship between the ribcage/pelvis/flow of the spine at that time. still my favorite part of drawing lol. During my most recent artblock i started copying muscle anatomy pages from a Morpho book as a way to keep drawing without a proper fixation. which is great because i also love the weight of flesh :^D
if you'd like my 'woo-woo advice' it's to get lost in the process and less invested in the results. and never be embarrassed. it'll keep you drawing (behind every piece of successful fanart is a mountain of scrap drawings of Fictional Guy #2378 facing 3/4 left.) and its meditative!! cathartic? personally i like to have a song/playlist to keep up the emotion im trying to work out going throughout my drawing session. helps me tell if the expression im drawing feels 'right'
and on the topic of drawing off model--!! Anytime im onto a new character i do spend a few sessions tracing their proportions/copying their models. after i figure out more or less what about their original design makes that Character i like to lose the training wheels. artistic interpretation is more interesting for me to look at and create. and i think it frees you up to better convey a feeling. the more you draw something the more you settle into 'what works' but i never set out to draw the same way twice! usually never anyway
thank you again for taking time to observe my drawings, and relaying back what you saw and felt. it honestly makes my day(s) to the point i almost feel guilty about it

Another Thought
So there’s definitely a contrast in why I like the World of Darkness vs why I like the Chronicles of Darkness, and I think it has to do with the settings of each set of games, and by extension how I tend to approach them.
For the WoD, it’s a very Set-in-Stone place with preexisting lore and characters that make it so that once you’ve gotten into it, you have a solid base from which to start from even if you likely have to read about a dozen books or so to get handle on it. You learn the metaplots, how various groups are likely to interact, how the cosmologies come into play, and where everything fits into its specific context. Sure, a lot of lore definitely needs some fixes and fine tuning in order to avoid the rather complicated and often problematic elements, but overall there’s a foundation that allows for intricate schemes and grand plots that focus on your characters and the interpersonal relationships with the world and people around them. A good example is the Time of Judgment books, where your characters would have to deal with the apocalypse, and attempt to form alliances and organize themselves in order to survive it.
In contrast, the CoD is somewhat more flexible, give the focus on smaller scale and intrapersonal storylines. Sure, there’s plenty of room for larger storylines such as dealing with an Idigam for Werewolf or a global-level Conspiracy for Deviant, but there’s plenty of other options if that’s not your thing. Plus, in my opinion at least, it plays up the horror aspect a bit better than the WoD. There’s a lot more emphasis on becoming something other than human and how that can blur who you were versus who you’ve become. In comparison, I don’t quite get that from WoD, outside of specific examples like following a Path of Enlightenment or something similar. The various antagonists, as stated in an earlier post also help the horror since in the WoD you can eventually break down a threat in time, taking away their edge even if it just means run from the opponent for now. In CoD you’ll rarely get so clean an idea aside from lower level threats, with the mystery helping the horror factor. I also enjoy how seamless it is, for the most part at least, to mix and match the different splats into one chronicle and how some of them encourage it.
Overall though, both are fun to explore, play and read through, and I would happily encourage anyone interested in trying them out to look around and see what they tickles their fancy.

A couple of miscellaneous replies.
Anonymous asked:
I used to be pretty indifferent to the NRC school staff, but your art and headcanons made me warm up to them a lot, especially Crewel, so thank you!
Aside for his crush on Trein, what do you think Crewel's sex/love life is like? Does he prefer one-night stands or is he interested in finding a more stable relationship? Would he use dating apps or does he just go with the flow?
Aww you’re welcome and thank you, Anon! We don’t get nearly enough of the NRC school stuff in the game itself, but I still love them a lot, so I’m happy you also got invested in them and Crewel specifically.
I like to think that Crewel has quite an active sex/love life. For some reason I imagine him as someone who goes to very specific types of clubs and bars and meets people there (+ maybe people from the fashion industry?) but he could also use dating apps when he’s in the mood for those. Although he seems like the type who needs to see a person with his eyes first, to “smell” them and make sure that they have chemistry.
He doesn’t date; he’s never dated anyone “seriously” in his life. He has a lot of partners though, and he isn’t the nicest person to a lot of them. He doesn’t abuse them or anything, just ghosts a lot of people. He’s a bit of a mess, to be honest lol
Anonymous asked:
I read your twst first time HCs and I laughed at the ones for Jamil. He totally is that guy who’s either really experienced or he’s a total virgin who people just THINK is experienced. Plus that thing about sex as a form of self-punishment is just so on the nose for him I feel.
If Kalim was his first time when do you think it would’ve happened? After Overblot, before Overblot, at the Firework festival, etc.?
Thank you, Anon!! Yeah, Jamil has such a seductive vibe sometimes, as if he knows exactly what he’s doing, but in actuality it’s so possible for him to not even want to have sex at all lol he has too many things to worry about. I’m also happy you noted the self-punishment part! I feel like I come back to this idea every time I think about poor Jamil.
If Kalim was his first, I would say it probably happened after Jamil’s Overblot. We haven’t seen the Firework festival yet, so I’m not sure about the level of tension between them during this period… But maybe during Ch5? When they were staying at the Ramshackle, for example. Or even earlier, right after Ch4. Maybe everything that went down made Kalim reflect on his feelings towards Jamil and realise just how much he desires him.
Or maybe they were having sex actively already by the time we met them lol Kalim seems to be so comfortable around Jamil, it wouldn’t be very surprising to learn that all of his sexual awakening was tightly tied to his closeness with him. So I guess it all depends on his horny or childish you want Kalim to be.
artfulhero-m asked:
After all this time I think your art has convinced my brain to finally ship Lilia x Silver (because you're the only artist that I follow that ships it lol) and my brain has decided to tell me by showing me Lilia teaching Silver how to have a good time if you catch my drift wink wink (source: it was revealed to me in a dream)
Ahh, welcome to this wonderful ship! <3 Honestly more people should ship these two lol so any new shipper is always good news.
BUT OH GOD PEOPLE KEEP HAVING THE BEST DREAMS LOL Your brain literally went “do we ship LiliSil? Take a wild guess, here is a hint”..
It’s completely right though, Lilia has taught Silver everything he needs to know to have fun both by himself and with someone else~
Anonymous asked:
do either of you have a yuu/twst oc?
Not really, we aren’t that into yuus and stuff.
Anonymous asked:
Opinions on Kalim x Vil?
I loved that scene where Vil demonstrated a proper skin care routine on Kalim’s silly face lol it was fun.
Don’t have a lot of thoughts about them as a ship though, maybe it’s because we haven’t seen the events in which they interacted more.
blackbutlerfandomnerddomain asked:
Me and my Tumblr fans have brought the life of something: Kalim Harem. Everyone is dating and sleeping with Kalim.
So here's the thing I can't help but focus on: Orgies
Like SO MANY ORGIES MY DUDE!!
I'm talking a fucking CHORE CHART WHEEL for those who are boning with him throughout the week until Orgy Date and something about Kalim just casually mentions the date in public is so fucking funny to me!
I feel like the first few times it was awkward for everyone to look at each other but soon it led to the others in the poly to bone each other without Kalim
So my question to you is; Thoughts of dorm orgies? I just get the vibe everyone's TOO CLOSE and the staff either doesn't know or know just refuse to say anything
Alright, it took me waaaaay too long to reply to this one, sorry for the wait!!
Yours and your fans ideas are quite creative as always lol And honestly you never know with Kalim. He seems so unassuming and innocent one moment, but he’s also full of surprises. He could be quite horny, and boy oh boy what a surprise it would be to the Scarabia students lol
(I’m saying it as someone who drew a comic of Kalim NOT fucking his harem because he’d rather sing and dance with them…)
Out of all the dorms, I feel like Scarabia is the most likely to have this type of ehh ARRANGEMENT. Other than that, Savanaclaw might do this type of stuff too lol
Oh and the staff won’t do anything about it anyways, Crowley is going to act like it’s not happening or it’s some kind of bonding moment for the guys lol

Fun fact, Nemu is a sadist
So you see Papa I know I’m gonna need screenshots for this one but HEAR ME OUT. I have actual arguments for this. There’s gonna be a lot of screenshots though, because I feel like in this case it’s a bit more overt once you look at it through this lens. This isn’t so much an essay as something similar to that time I went on a short rant about how Touka acts like a cat but here you go.
I’m gonna be very blunt. Nemu is a sadist. An extremely picky sadist that goes from mild to borderline disturbing, but a sadist nonetheless. Girlie has hella concerning moments. There’s the part about enjoying seeing people in pain, yes, particularly pain caused by her (directly or indirectly), but it’s more complex than that. It’s relishing one’s power over others. It’s enjoying when others are humiliated. Enjoying putting people in messed up positions and situations, watching or forcing them to hurt themselves or their loved ones, Sisyphean tasks, etc. There’s pretty terrifying potential to what she would be capable of if encouraged, considering her extensive historical and literary knowledge (looking at you, Madness of Hercules Shizuka. If you know you know).
As for the reasons, well, it makes sense with her background and as a coping mechanism, a way to vent. Sadism most often originates from feeling powerless in daily life, general powerlessness/lack of power even over the self, and repressed anger/frustration, so it tracks with what we know about Nemu. And yes, this happens since childhood. I’m gonna explain my arguments for the intense ‘Nemu is a sadist’ interpretation I have, don’t you worry, and there will be screenshots galore for once!
Let’s start with the mildest stuff. Which is actually Touka-related. Nemu really enjoys getting a reaction out of Touka, mainly earlier in their relationship (when she wasn’t Irreversibly Whipped)—though bits of it remain. This manifests in all of the teasing and the purposeful “humiliation” through things like games (the card game scene comes to mind). It’s easy too, because Touka is so extremely reactive. Here’s a very old example of this much milder manifestation, the card game scene in question:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Touka then starts crying (you can see the tears) because she’d mapped out the entire game and memorized Nemu’s cards and Nemu truly had no reason to pull this move. Leading to this response from Nemu:
Tumblr media
Going to another side of things, the funny (/s) humiliation uwasa should not be overlooked. I know I haven’t posted my document where I hyperoveranalyze what each and every one of Nemu’s uwasa means (because it is incredibly disturbing in this raw form), HOWEVER, the Rumor of the Cemetery Banquet Feast is just one of multiple rumors that adds to this specific topic. And also uh the Fashion Monster. There are many, many things that I can gleam from the latter existing in the first place, but it’s described as:
“A Rumor that appears before confident, dressed up girls. It drags its victims into an alley, and if the Rumor isn’t told it looks stylish, it will strip off the victim’s clothes.”
Thank you Nemu, thank you so much. I don’t think I have to say anything for you to see why this applies to the sadist thing. As for the Rumor of the Cemetery Banquet Feast:
“My, have you heard? Who’d you hear it from? The Cemetery Banquet, and the rumor thereof! Fated rivals, arguing friends– if you want everyone to get along, then this Rumor is for you! Anyone who reads its invitation will be guided to the pre-banquet proving grounds. If– and only if– you can make the banquet lively, then you pass! And you’ll be invited up to Paradise, complete with kindly parting words. But if you plan to participate, you’d better take great care! If you fall short of proving yourself, you’ll literally fall into the underworld, to boot. It’s a rumor that ALL of the temple’s supporters are talking about. C’mon now, let’s liven things up!”
And the way the event goes is… Well.
The Rumor greets its “attendees” in a kind, heavenly voice, casually “forgives” (brushes off) their attempts to break its rules, and gives gentle encouragement (plus painfully-gentle critique) as they resort to performing various party tricks to satisfy it. Once they satisfy the Rumor by setting aside both their pride and their mutual animosities, it escorts them to the top of its pagoda in a giant, golden hand… where they literally pass on to the afterlife.
Thank you Nemu, thank you so much. I think you see where I’m coming from here. As for some of the other things I mentioned at the start, well, there’s this part of Arc 1 Chapter 8:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She truly does speak in the cultiest possible way. Her dialogue is far more cult leader-like than Alina's or Touka's. There's also this part:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Doesn’t she look quite pleased… These are pretty much one after another. But okay fine, here’s a couple from Chapter 9:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Really. Really look at this through the sadism lens. She also giggles while telling the others that they’ve reached their limit right after Kanagi and especially Tsuruno expresses feeling sick and heavy and in pain. Which… is a worse reaction than Touka’s, that’s for sure. What’s fascinating is that in her MGS, Nemu seems to care the most about the Feathers.
As for my final example, I’m just gonna leave a bunch of screenshots from Uwasa Tsuruno’s MGS here. Pay attention to the way Nemu speaks to Tsuruno and the words she chooses to use (it'd be a lot more obvious if Nemu was older than Tsuruno probably):
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So in closing. Nemu Hiiragi is a sadist. Funny venting mechanism you’ve got right there, I sure hope it won’t lead to anything more questionable than you’ve already done. Good luck with your wife, Touka, have fun.

Hi, hope u are well today :) I got confused by something and hope you can clear it up. I know relationships are complicated in HV. But I saw on the wiki apparently Kepa is both father and father's brother. Is there a specific reason for that? I have seen Rhaenyra call Daemon both Kepa and Kepus. On the show at least she calls him the later ?? Thanks for answering all these and giving us your time!! Cheers
Kepa is the nominative and kepus is the vocative (used for direct address); they're different forms of the same word. But otherwise, High Valyrian's kinship system is an instantiation of the Iroquois kinship system. This means that you use the same term for your father as you do your father's brother. Your mother's brother is called an uncle. On the other side, you use the same word for your mother and your mother's sister, but your father's sister is called an aunt.
As for "why", there's no reason that anything really needs to be any way in a language: It just is, sometimes. In High Valyrian, this is the kinship system I decided on for them. It's different from Dothraki, which is unique in its own way (at a certain point, they just have a word that means "male relative" and another that means "female relative", and it's applied to everyone). I really like how the system turned out, even though it's very hard to use, as evidenced by Duolingo. >.< (It was all fun and games until I had to build that...) Not sure how helpful that is, but there you go!

mari lore pretty please mari backstory
RUBS MY HANDS TOGETHER LIKE A GROSS LITTLE FLY.
Very long post, but, here! Here's a little brief lore overview!
Mari was not originally from the parable. He used to be a real, human person, who had played the game once or twice. He did not intentionally choose to wind up stuck in this specific game, it just happened to be running in the background without him realising. Mari has a special interest in computers and robotics, and also happens to have a very obsessive personality. This resulted in him growing utterly infatuated with his computer, driving him to want to become a part of it. A marriage, if you will, in the sense of a literal union of their beings. He went about this by attempting to transfer his consciousness into his computer. Which… I mean, it worked. Just not the way he’d anticipated, and with a whole myriad of unforeseen consequences (lol.) In the process of doing this, he had to essentially stab himself in numerous places, inserting various cords and wires. While he does not quite remember this, as, while he retains some parts of his memory, he repressed a lot of them, with the memory of this manifesting as an intense fear of needles and wires with M plugs.
Her physical form is one she has to put in a constant effort to maintain, though, it is far from perfect. He does his best to copy the same materials that a human body would be made of, going as far as to even give himself blood and organs, despite them being wholly unnecessary, and often inconvenient. He very gradually struggles more and more to maintain this form, causing it to fall apart more often, and become more… viscous, for lack of better words.
On both a physical and psychological level, Mari barely resembles his previous self in any capacity. There are very, very little pieces of it left behind, residual humanity, if you will– in the sense of being literally human.
It isn't entirely uncommon for him to sit down, zoned out, whilst staring at his hands, until he's disconnected from his reality enough to not feel the way his skin drips and flesh shifts. It makes him feel more human, it reminds him of home. Home. He doesn't really remember it properly, after a while. What were his friends' names? What did his mother look like? Who exactly was his brother? What about his cat? He can barely remember ever having her. Foggy and torn apart, small spots and fragments visible here and there, but, that's it, really.
Though, it's in these times when he reminisces (or, attempts to), on being human, when he wants it the most, that he becomes the least human he's been. His body becomes less and less stable, the air around him bends, warps, distorts, and his behaviour grows erratic. The times he so desperately tries to reach for a version of himself entirely unattainable are the times when he is prone to losing parts of himself-- physically, and metaphorically. Little pieces of his personhood, scattered amongst an endless sea of 1's and 0's. It hurts.
Mari’s relationship with mortality is another interesting, I believe, point. She is well aware of the impermanent nature of the parable, and the fact that she will always be reset upon death, and has grown more or less desensitised to it, often using a quick, swift death to quell boredom, or turning it into a game. It is, with rare exception, meaningless to him. She can die, she can kill, she can see others die, and she views it all as a form of amusement. Threatening Mari with death is often a pointless endeavour, as he will not take these threats seriously, instead opting to laugh, and to dare her assailant to go ahead and do it, often encouraging them to make it as gruesome and violent as possible. Just for fun.
However, this nonchalant attitude has not always been the case. The first dozen times or so that she died, she would have violent panic attacks and enter states of depersonalization and derealizations which would often span across multiple restarts. Stanley helped to aid him with this, to the best of his ability, though with little luck, as Mari has never been particularly fond of Stanley, opting to constantly push him away.
Now, Stanley certainly doesn't like Mari, but, he doesn't necessarily dislike him. He's made uncomfortable by Mari, and doesn't particularly enjoy being around her, but, he doesn't hate him. Mari, on the other hand? She cannot stand Stanley. Even to the point of finding him to be physically difficult to look at, causing a deep dread to settle in his chest.
See, the thing here is that Mari, in a lot of ways, sees himself in Stanley. And he does not like that. He will go out of his way to bother Stanley, to hurt him (though not anything permanent.) This comes, honestly, from a place of jealousy and self-loathing. Stanley is very much a loved character, both in-game and in the real world, and Mari knows this. He wants this for himself. Desperately.
To quote a brilliant ask I once got on my little in-character blog for Mari (the old one, before I deleted and remade it)– “"What about me?” Well. Perhaps you just don't matter as much as you'd like to believe. Perhaps you don't have as big of an impact, perhaps you aren't as important, & perhaps you just aren't as memorable.” “Because if you were, I can guarantee you, people would flock to you. Care for you. But they don't, do they? No. They do not.”
Mari wants to be seen, known, loved, just as Stanley is. He feels that Stanley is undeserving of this love, deeming Stanley as being bland, as very little more than just a vessel to project onto, (funny, though, as Mari projects heavily onto him), going as far as to often refuse to even call him by his name, opting to call him by the mocking sobriquet of 'Doll' instead.
Though, whether consciously or not, Mari knows that Stanley is just as real (or not) as he is.
Hey, speaking of being real– let’s briefly discuss The Player, shall we? Mari is aware of the fact that The Player exists, though doesn’t really know what they are. Mari is well aware of their influence on the world around them, particularly when it comes to Stanley being controlled, and the clocks suddenly jumping backwards and forward, though he doesn’t understand exactly what is happening. Mari does not like The Player’s influence on this world, and frequently gets confused, and subsequently angry, about it. This disdain is, perhaps, a little ironic, though, as Mari himself was a player at one point in time, even if he retains no recollection of this information.

Mikalight for the ask game! :D
Hi Moon :D
AYYYY MIKALIGHT 👓🖋️🍷
when i started shipping it: Before I'd even finished my Death Note rewatch honestly—I only binge a max of six episodes a day so I didn't even remember what Mikami looked like when I started reading fics that mentioned him. Deadass I thought he had a moustache, I was so convinced in my old memories before I saw him on screen again 😭 BUT YES I read TrashKing's Composure before I finished the series again and found their dynamic there intriguing :3
my thoughts: They just bring a sort of Riza & Roy, Barty & Tom, Crim & Alessio, Aro & Jane vibe to the table that I really enjoy ✨ The Mastermind™ and their feral attack dog—Light says "Bark" and Mikami goes "At what tone, pitch, and volume; poodle or rottweiler?" and that's just SO much to play with >:3 IT'S ABOUT THE SERVITUDE 🤌🤌 THE IMAGE OF LIGHT SITTING CLEAN AND ARROGANT IN HIS THRONE AND MIKAMI STANDING PROUD BESIDE HIM COVERED IN BLOOD 😩🙏 Mikami is Light's favorite little pet and Light is Mikami's everything.
what makes me happy about them: They are soooo unwell your honor 💕 Two freak ass nerds both thinking they're more righteous than they are. Mikami could probably snap Light in half over his knee (dude is JACKED) but he won't 🥰 They're what I need when I want Light pampered and spoiled and getting everything he wants.
what makes me sad about them: THEIR DEATHS. DEAR GOD CANON DID THEM SO DIRTY, MIKAMI ESPECIALLY 😭😭 There is no dignity in death INDEED
things done in fanfic that annoy me: Honestly? (Don't hate me for this one Moon (๑•﹏•)) I don't like how often L is brought up or mentioned in Mikalight fics. Like Mikami is L's replacement in Light's heart, like he sees L in Mikami—they're literally nothing alike 😭 They both have black hair but if that's the only thing you need to be L's replacement then Matsuda would make the cut. Besides; if I open a Mikalight fic, I want the focus to be on Mikami and Light :') If I wanted Lawlight I'd have gone to the Lawlight tag instead, you know?
things i look for in fic: Mikami being obsessed and Light viscerally enjoying his obsession. That's it :3 I want Mikami to be the devoted pursuer and Light to be the deity deigning to touch him out of amusement and curiosity. I like Light in control and Mikami being super horny about it ✨
who I'd be comfortable with the ending up with: For Light, I like him with pretty much everyone lol (have that man running from his harem 24/7), though L and Ryuk are definitely at the top of the list ;3 For Mikami.... it's harder, because I only like him with other people in situations where Light isn't a factor at all, such as they've never met or Light just doesn't exist. Save for maybe Near, because I think captor/captive is always a fun trope 💫 But with Light there (and specifically in Kira Wins AUs) I tend to like him with either Matsuda or Misa, because I can see both of those relationships turning antagonistic >:3 Mikalight is pretty much the only DN ship I have that doesn't have SOME form of chafe to it, so anything else would need to be made interesting for me to ship it.
my happily ever after for them: Kira wins, Mikami uses his eyes and tenacity to become Light's right hand man, and then they spend the rest of time being righteously evil with Light directing and Mikami wielding the scythe—which he is then reward for by Light allowing him to use his mouth and hands and sometimes cock to make his Kami-sama feel good 😌💖
who is big spoon/little spoon: TOUGH QUESTION. Because if it's in a No Death Note AU and they were both,,,normaler, I'd say Mikami. But in any other circumstance I'd say Light, if only because Mikami kneeling between his legs while Light works is practically the same thing as being the little spoon when you think about it :3
what is their favorite nonsexual activity: Not to get super soft all of a sudden, but probably talking. Mikami is canonically very intelligent as well, even if I think his smarts come more from diligent study than any born-in ability like Light's—they've probably read a lot of the same books and I imagine them sitting in comfortable quiet reading together and occasionally looking up to speak their thoughts about the book aloud, which leads them into calm but intriguing discussions. When they're not being murderous psychos, I think they're both actually quite calm and content people, so things like going for a morning run, drinking coffee together, and reading in the same room are definitely their favorite moments otherwise 💗

I won’t be able to play the game until august 8, so here’s a list of things I’d like to see and theories that I believe will be proven right at the full launch of Baldur’s Gate III.
warning: contains spoiler based on last panel from hell of July 7 and datamining + bunch of misspellings
Think it’s pretty obvious but the three chosen of the Absolute are in one way or another connected to the Dead Three: Ketheric Thorm - Myrkul, Enver Gortash - Bane, Orin the Red - Bhaal
(might be wrong but) Larian did confirm some time ago - the Mindflayers won’t be the Big Bad. To my mind undoubtedly the Dead Three will play a significant role, but I also think that Shar, Vlaakith and someone from Avernus will be involved (Zariel maybe?)
To add the last, somehow Astarion’s scar, Mizora, Rafael and Karlach are tied together
Withers’ question and our answer is some foreshadowing and is gonna bite us on the neck later on
Withers is Jergal
Seluna might be the reason why his helping us
Daisy is not what we think they are, not just personification of the parasite
* I’m not sure how much of seduction narrative has been left, but I think it would be fun to see Daisy to take a form of our LI or vise verse at some point
Raphael’s interest in the brainworms is due to netheres magic
Lorroakan, the wizard of Ramazith's tower, is Edwin Odesseiron
There’s something very dark about Gale, not in the way “don’t trust the wizards”, but in way we’ll learn that he way more sinister than he makes himself seem. But I doubt that he’ll betray (if we play our cards right) though. Let me make him my bff
To add to that, when we first meet him, he says that he’s in need of a archemage, later we learn that he also need to consume the weave… can he consume it from the living creatures?
Gale’s relationship with Halaster Blackcloak. WHY THE FUCK DID HE LEFT TARA IN HIS CARE?!
And the heartbreaking ending Crystal was talking about? That’s Gale’s one. Mark my words
Shadowheart is not her real name, duh, hope we get to know the real one
I don’t think Shadowheart is brainwashed cleric of Selune, most likely she chose freely to join the Night Church due to loss at young age, previously worshiping Selune
Her strange magic is Selune-ish, I think
Would really like to see Viconia in the Shadowheart’s hideout in the city
The Temple of Shar, Ketheric and those Shar worshipers will be key in making Shadowheart rethink her devotion (and our previous decision ofc)
Astarion was a nasty person before he become a vampire spawn, pretty sure that his abuse of his position is what got him in Cazador’s grip
There’s got to be one ending where he turns Tav into his own vampire spawn
Not sure how much the changes in Wyll character will affect this, but… even though it’s seems that Mizora is no longer captured by goblins, I hope there some specific interactions with her if we follow Wyll romance
Wyll is part of the Eltan family
WHATS WITH HIS EYE BEING A QUEST OBJECT??
Really wish we’ll learn about companies families: I want to meet Wyll’s father, to learn about Gale’s parents, to help Shadowheart remember her family, to learn about Astarion’s past, to know their last names and etc. Let me know theirs ages, Larian!
Also, Larian, my dear, give Wyll and Gale their unique armor
The artifact will cure us
I really wish there’s some reference to Honor Among Thieves, as they both take place around late 15th century
If Zevlor is Absolute’s servant, I really hope there’ll be a horrible way to make him pay
Auntie Ethel loot is cursed

Hello! If you’re up for it, could you suggest some non-smut media? Could be games, manga, anime, anything! I really don’t mind ^^
I’m asexual and don’t really enjoy having to sit through sex scenes, even if it’s from something I ended up to really like. :/ It’d be amazing if there were more sfw yanderes but I guess that’s not really a popular demographic hhhh
Yeah, of course! I think honestly I personally prefer ones that don't have smut as well unless it's in very specific circumstances (but to each their own). It's not its own community like r18 yandere vns are, but it's possible that it might grow into its own in the future. Most otome isekais tend to be more focused on romance though and don't have smut (unless explicitly stated), so looking into that would be probably good if you're not looking for smut.
Webcomics/Manga
God is Telling Me to Fall in Love - this one is like deep in my drafts and Cherry really likes it- it's about a girl who is able to see the affection points of guys and is able to form relationships with them, but when they get to the end, she's forced to go back in time and has to chase another person. It's pretty good and I have an ask on it. Future Recommendation
Caught by the Villain - an isekai about a girl who is trying to avoid her fate of death(and her brothers) by pretending to be him and enlisting into the army.
Never-Ending Darling- very good thriller sci-fi series about a girl who is cloned constantly by her fiance. Very good push and pull on both sides and you're always on the edge of your seat.
Kimi no Koe - Cherry likes this one too, but the premise is very good, about a guy who can read people's thoughts and a girl whom he can't read and is mute. Very fluffy. The yandere appears near the tail end of it though so he's not in it a lot.
The S Class that I Raised - this mostly depends on if you believe in platonic yanderes or not, but the series as a whole is very good about a guy who rewinds time to save his brother (who is an S class) and gains powers to tame beasts. The yandere is mostly comedic though.
Fluctuations of the Hit Man S -extremely cute and a bit comedic, about a hitman that falls in love with a yakuza daughter and becomes her bodyguard. The artwork is a bit nonstandard for a manga, but it really is a fun read.
To Your Eternity - extremely good and pretty long, the yandere appears somewhere in the middle, about and immortal and his battle with beings that are trying to take over the world. Extremely heart wrenching and something you should read for the plot, not just the yandere himself.
He Was My Brother - very good psychological one about a girl who wants to get with her deceased brother's lover, despite how it sounds, it's pretty horror based and honestly makes you wonder what exactly is going on.
Ripe When the Flowers Bloom - this one is a shonen ai, but I like the pacing and idea on it. It's about a guy who works at a flower shop and a being that can only eat flowers. I think they do sleep together but it's not shown (since it's a shonen ai)
Kiss the Abyss - I think I really just like killing games, but this shonen ai is also really good. Basically about a game developer who gets trapped into his own mobile game that was a killing game. Very fun.
I have a lot more on my masterlist, though you'd have to sort it out yourself. Usually I give warning if it has smut/r18 content in it.
Games
Cemetery Mary - very good mysteresque visual novel about a girl named Mary who loves Cemeteries (shocking) and is trying to live in a new place while being worried about her kidnapped parents. I'm still going through this one and there are some other games in the same universe. Future Recommendation.
Dead Wishes - r18 but more on the themes and gore side, there is at least one male yandere in there and his route is a doozy. Very good though, and the characters are all pretty interesting in their own right, though it can get pretty messed up sometimes.
Love, Sam - this one is actually a bit old and not a visual novel, but it is very cool and very fun. The way the story unravels is really interesting and it makes you question on what's actually going on. Future Recommendation.
Froot Basket Valentine/Froot Basket Dark Chocolate - Dark Chocolate is a prequel to Valentine, but it's about the main character (Jordan) who loses their memories and has to try to figure out who they were trying to give chocolates too. Dark Chocolate is from the yandere's point of view.
Sweetest Valentine - good game with a twist, Cherry and I really liked it. About a girl who is going to confess to one of two guys and there's actually like a huge hidden thing under all of that. It was a fun game and I hope the creator makes more yandere games.
Mushroom Oasis - this one is actually really cute, about the player going to find their cat in the forest and instead stumbling upon someone who seems to have hypnotic powers. Future Recommendation.
The Science of Staying Awake - this one is a bit trippy, about not sleeping and seeing a strange creature in your room, with them extremely desperate to touch you, but it ends up causing your sanity to go down instead. The concept of it is super cool.
Colorful Mirai: Spooky Edition - spinoff of the Colorful Mirai series about Lauren going to a haunted house and being greeted by a bunch of guys. They don't do a whole ton because it's a oneshot spinoff, but it's still well made and fun to play.
If you look under my Video Game Recommendation under Indie Visual Novels, all of those don't have smut (from my recollection) as well as any of the mobile games. I think most of the sfw yandere vns don't actually advertise themselves as yandere vns so they end up being harder to find as a result.
I don't know that much anime offhand with a male yandere- maybe like Akudama Drive, Tokyo Mewmew, Kill of Love, Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion? I probably should watch more anime, but it's a lot of things I have to go through. Maybe one day.
There is quite a lot of sfw male yandere stuff, but you do have to dig for them- that's probably just true for any male yandere stuff though. Hopefully, that will help you find some good ones. I'll also do some reblogs today that have sfw yanderes that you can look through.

yakuza 3 (sort of) done! thoughts under the cut cos they got quite long. they're a lot more coherent than my kiwami 2 ones cos i made them along the way rather than in a feverish mess at the end, though ofc they contain spoilers for 3 and ig gaiden??
overall thoughts, it's messy and weird and makes some Choices, but it's not a bad game, and the people who write it off as being shit are, imho, wrong. once i got into it i liked it, it introduced some great characters, had some really fun moments, and i'm gonna miss the morning glory kids (yes even riona).
if you're looking at this like when did you change the difficulty??? the bit where you have to run away from the police at millenium tower, fuck that bit so hard, none of the other chases gave me trouble but that one ughhhhh
also i neglected haruka i'm sorry
the combat is harder and more tedious, and i can see why it puts people off, but i find pulling off the combos and counters way more satisfying as a result. like, i tiger dropped lau ka long to finish that fight and it felt *so* good, way more than ending fights with heat actions or whatever has done in previous games. having said that the blocking oh jesus christ the BLOCKING
it’s the place we get the most on kashiwagi pre-y0 especially kiryu’s opinion of him (including the iconic lines about reimen) so you can’t knock it for that.
rikiya buddy i love you but wtf was that substory with natsumi. actually why is he suddenly a dick in all of his side content???? (i know he’s confrontational and that’s just how he is but idk, smth about how he is in the side content feels different). he’s rude to utabori to his face (despite kiryu repeatedly telling him not to), when he meets natsumi again he’s like yo i kept this necklace why are you in tokyo you don’t fit in here come back to okinawa with me, like ????? she clearly has a life she’s built up there (not a good one, i don’t think, but still) and they might have known each other when they were kids but we never get her side of the story on that, only rikiya’s. idk. it’s one of the first things he says to her, that’s a neon red flag if ever i’ve seen one.
also also during that entire scene in asia, kiryu watches rikiya’s reaction to the dancing the *entire* time. is that a bug of how conversations work or was that a deliberate choice or what
MACK buddy why aren't you in this game more
we had a second majima-no-nii-san! from hamazaki of all people! tho having said that i think he was being sardonic. like, he never says it again, and is generally kind of like that. he’ll use polite forms but he’s never being *polite*. lowkey obsessed with his hand on majima’s shoulder in that scene and what it says about his character and their relationship up to that point and how majima has ended up in this kind of position *again*. kiryu leaving - as it always does - fucked so many people over it’s not even funny.
some of the translations bother me. as an english script it’s for the most part pretty coherent and works well enough on its own, but in combination with the japanese it sometimes deviates in ways that change character moments or even just feel weird. like the addition of the puns in the seven mysteries substories is fun, very ace attorney, but sometimes it feels like they step too far (‘getting tight in your britches!’ for ビビった like ???? even ignoring the japanese what is that supposed to meannnnn)
specific moments i was thinking of were the really early line where taichi is like 晩ごはんまだぁ? and they add in an unnecessary ‘i thought curry was supposed to be easy!’ in the english which then undermines later when they all sit down to eat and are like カレーだ! like they didn’t actually know what was for dinner. another one is when kiryu leaves rikiya behind in okinawa and tells haruka that he can’t let him come (in various ways, three times). in the english they shake it up a bit by adding ‘it’s my burden to bear’ WHICH i’ll fully admit flows better and is a very kiryu thing to say but i think it shifts the tone of that scene from worry to responsibility? in a way that doesn’t feel quite right in context of the story as a whole. last one where mine calls kiryu a coward when he’s leaving after showing whatever was left of kanda in that box. again, it flows better and lines up with kiryu’s behaviour in later games but doesn’t feel quite right and i think it changes the point mine was trying to make there. there's also the minefield about how mine expresses his feelings about daigo right at the end. BUT i’m a learner this isn’t my job what do i know. they worked hard and faults aside it’s a fun read and they also had to deal with that fuck-awful section of exposition from the politician so no blame here. it’s not like the other games don’t have this, it just feels especially weird in this one to me.
i loved the little wrestling bit. it’s not perfect but it has the kind of heart and good intentions that makes those sections (and yakuza 3 as a whole) really enjoyable for me.
objectively very funny that the text you get congratulating you on all the revelations is from kaoru, and that she’s like hey your blog was very funny, go see my friend bob utsunomiya for your reward. i know it’s mostly game mechanics to make it make sense but is it not the funniest thing to imagine a. that kaoru knows a bob utsunomiya (how did they meet??? why???) and b. that on her breaks between Mystery Police Stuff she’s refreshing kiryu’s blog like what dumb shit is this idiot up to now asdfghjkl tbf his blog can’t be hard to find, it’s literally ‘day in the life of the dragon of dojima’ it’s a miracle he gets anything done ever with how bad he is at being on the downlow
standing on the morning glory beach, especially in the evening/at night and looking up at the sky while listening to the waves roll in is so calming, the first time i got to do it i stayed there for like ten minutes just chilling
some of the animation is genuinely really really good, like saki’s eyes shaking in fear or kiryu’s cheek twitch when he finds out about morning glory, or mine on finding out daigo's alive. idk how much is the work of the remaster and how much was originally there but i really like it
the last three chapters are such whiplash cos it’s like sad, sad, very sad, bulls! sad, very very sad, sad, jet! thumbs up! sad, sad, ANGRY, there is no change in the plan, sad, sad, on the roof, sad, sad, MACHO, things are gonna be fine! oh wait sad sa- please mr richardson they’re trying to have a moment -d sad sad surprise! murder! surprise! alive! done. you know?
idk if i was just hormonal or emotional but saki calling out to nakahara really got to me for some reason. her first word after years of silence was ‘dad’, and that hit me in a way i wasn’t expecting even tho i knew it was coming.
show us the akimoto/mizuki kiss, cowards
that last section was really fun to play for me (aside from that first little bit going up the first couple of floors of the hospital), the music’s great, the combat had (mostly) good pacing, the fights felt challenging in a good way, yeah i was all for it! reinforced for me how much i like mine as a character and wish we’d got to see more of him (but hey, look, if andre richardson survived the fall...?). like, the moment he realises daigo is still alive - and that he was about to kill the man he love- ahem sorry admired, so much - is seared into my brain.
