23 since 2016 lmao,, i don't remember exactly how many i posted on lj from 2012-2015 but it wasn't a ton, probably 10-15 that were like 50k altogether

it's been all over the place since 2020 lol but p much only chinese media like danmei novels, movies, cdramas. used to write kpop rpf but prob won't return to that even tho i still like and follow many groups

i usually do, although i'm often quite late LOL i have a couple fics where i didn't reply to all the comments after a certain point and then i just stopped 😭 or if they are a guest user or only leave emojis as a comment then i don't reply? but ofc i see every comment

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

uhh i feel like the only thing i wrote that is complete and has an angsty ending is 捡一个梦; reach for a dream bc it was a missing scene from an angsty arc of the show. or lol jk same scenario applies to 余光 (remnants of light) bc it takes place before the end of yuwu and not in one of the happier moments

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

either 给你给你 or 换一世身份姓名; heaven to myself bc they're both disgustingly sweet and affectionate at the end

8. Do you get hate on fics?

nope! either i am writing for tiny ass fandoms or like, my fics don't get enough traction to attract haters LMAO

9. Do you write smut?

not a lot... the incomplete bingqiu au i posted has the most explicit scenes so far but i am still too shy writing it. i have to practice so that i can write more than 3 sentences of sex in a single day and actually finish the wips i started 😭

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you have written?

i have before! nothing crazy tho bc it was just kpop rpf and it would be like, two idols from the same company that have interacted multiple times! lmao. sometimes i think abt crossovers for cdramas that are relatively tame such as: two actors that have been in the same drama multiple times are reincaranted and those 2+ dramas are their different lives... but it's so niche in eng speaking fandom and i haven't fully written one out yet. also does it count as a crossover if u put characters from story A into the setting/setup for story B bc i do that a lot but i think that is fairly common at least for ppl to imagine

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

i don't think so... again, my fics do not get a lot of traction so i don't think it's likely lmaooo

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

i think there was an exo one translated into russian a long time ago but i don't even remember which one lolllll it might have been on my livejournal

not a whole fic yet but ive brainrotted a plethora of aus with friends before such as but not limited to mingqian actors au with lianzi (very intricate with multiple variations) and a Bunch of cdrama and yuwu stuff with another friend :')

14. What's your all time favorite ship?

i cannotttttt pick only one but ummm in the last yr-ish it's been a rotation of tantai jin/li susu + mingye/sang jiu from cyjm, mingqian from liu yao, xilian from yuwu (🤪)..... bingqiu from sv (always).... i should stop for now that's Tew Many. but i think once i finish spl, changgu will also be up there

15. What is a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

i feel like i'm cursing myself by typing this out but perhaps the bingqiu i posted one chapter of..... even if i could write all the p With p parts that i wanted to include, i was also a little stuck on the ending and idk if i would be able to write it in a way that doesn't feel like a cop out or just weak in general 😢 but i do like that au and i think my writing for it so far was p decent... so who knows...!

16. What are your writing strengths?

i think i am pretty good at dialogue that sounds 1. natural and 2. true to the characters! i try really hard to make imagery sound original(ish) and evocative, and to make a character's Yearning palpable

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

intricate plot, action, sex (takes me forever to write and haven't done it in as much detail as i would like to tbh)

18. Thoughts of writing dialogue in another language in fics?

i love it! i did it a little in my yunfei fic and instead of directly translating the line of chinese right there i just included the meaning in the next line of dialogue, like "what do you mean [thing they just said]" + i did it like that bc the tone of it just felt so much more natural to me in mandarin for that specific convo. not that it was something untranslatable (it wasn't) but it just felt comfier to me. i also like the thing ppl do where you can hover over the text and it will show the translation but idk how that html works HAHA someday i would like to give it a go

19. First fandom you wrote for?

20. Favorite fic you have written?

overall i think it would be typhoon season (my incomplete but not abandoned cisswap girls ximang in hk) ! i had it fermenting in my brain for like 8 months before i wrote it, which meant i had figured a lot of the stuff for the beginning out and it was much easier to write than normal since i was not deliberating so much in the moment. i think the pacing for it was good and the reveals of backstory were placed well, and i think i adapted the characters well too even if it's only a first chapter and they haven't done a lot yet. i wanna write them again but it's been rly hard for me to think abt that specific au for many months lol. i also think my recent yzy gegedidi fic had a lot of yummy scenes even if i see some flaws in some parts of the fic's progression... but i spent enough time on it already so i will not go and fix it anymore 😌 peace

2. an indie film.

You know, I'm actually pretty late to the indie film genre. It wasn't until my mom got a Netflix account that I started watching more "indie" films -- mostly just non-major studio movies sometimes with no-name or up-and-coming stars and often LGBTQIA-themed. A couple of my fave indie movies are Weekend -- which is actually the movie that inspired my WinterFrost fic Stay With Me; Boy Meets Girl -- which was one of the first movies I saw with a transgender actor playing a transgender role (and also stars Michael Welch from Twilight); Redwoods -- which was the idea behind my FrostIron fic Empire State of Mind; and ofc, My Big Fat Greek Wedding!

6. a film released before 1970.

Ok, well, three of my favorite movies of all time were made in 1934, 1939, and 1944. (That's Gone with the Wind, It Happened One Night, and Double Indemnity). I grew up watching my mom's favorite musicals of the 1950s and 60s. My mom liked to show me, especially, all of her favorite films from her childhood.

13. a film whose main genre is drama.

OMG where do i start tho? Drama (next to action) is one of my fave genres. I'm a total nut for an Oscar bait movie and up until a few years ago, I used to watch every single movie nominated in the Big 6 awards (Acting categories, Directing, and Film) and my mom and I used to print out ballots and compete. IDK, google best dramas of all time and I probably have watched and love them all.

22. a film that is a novel/film adaptation.

One of my fave films, like it's in my Top 5 movies, is Atonement. And even though it's not the happiest of films (it's downright tragic, really), what I love the most is how close to the book it stayed. They even pulled dialogue directly from the book (not all adaptations do this). My nerdy ass even did a presentation for my Narrative in Literature and Film on the movie.

29. a film to feel good/uplifted.

uhh,,,,idk cuz my sister and i will literally watch disaster movies when we're in a good mood. lol like we watch the Day After Tomorrow, San Andreas, and 2012 on the regular bc they're out comfort movies.

2 : if you had to give up your keyboard and write your stories exclusively by hand, could you do it? if you already write everything by hand, a) are you a wizard and b) pen or pencil?

i would try, i probably could it just wouldn't be a very long time, even longer than usual. my hand cramps a LOT when i write (which is a new thing idk why) but my stories are still important :D

7 : what is your deepest joy about writing?

i have a few actually! honestly, starting with the most basic joy, it's really rewarding to remind myself that i have the ability to make a world. i can create cool versions of people i absolutely adore and make totally new people too! and i often forget that if i try hard enough i can make people cry with my writing or make one joke have people go feral,,,

another one is the reminder that god damn. almost eight billion people and i had this idea. i have complete freedom over this. i have claimed the coolest idea EVER out of almost eight billion people.

and i guess just the fact that i can write what people want me to write or what people enjoy. i love taking input from others because i know it'll make one person enjoy something! little details that i remember about someone? throw it into a fic and hope they see it and smile

8 : if you had to write an entire story without either action or dialogue, which would you choose and how would it go?

bye bye fucking dialogue. i would love to write something wordless and see how it works out, it just sounds awesome tbh, very moody. one of my non g/t wips is like that for a lot of it and it's just really calm to write! i don't have to worry about balancing things or making accurate dialogue, it's just one person in the universe and the vibe of that can easily get through to me. and in my experience, it'll go pretty good!

13 : what is a subject matter that is incredibly difficult for you write about? what is easy?

ehhh i really hate writing combat or anything fast paced. moving scenes along and changing settings has never been a strong suit of mine imo,,,, like it always feels either really rushed or really choppy imo

and i think mental health is pretty easy for me to write. like that hazy, unhappy mind. it's extremely slow and easy to make long and extravagant descriptions with,,,,

14 : do you lend your books to people? are people scared to borrow books from you? do you know exactly where all your “lost” books are and which specific friend from school you haven’t seen in twelve years still possesses them? will you ever get them back?

i don't have a large collection of books. i'm never really immersed into actually reading a book which i know is awful as a writer and honestly just a terrible attribute of mine but i'm not a big reader. fanfic tho is my bitch, and in which case i have no experience with any of this :'D

16 : what’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever used as a bookmark?

a piece of lined paper i found in the book, so essentially someone else's makeshift bookmark

i am respectfully gonna skip 17 & 18 because i don't have the energy to really explain any of that and all of my wips are so like not worthy of those questions. the best ur gonna get is the minutiae of tiny workers i'll post tomorrow lmao

19 : tell me a story about your writing journey. when did you start? why did you start? were there bumps along the way? where are you now and where are you going?

it's nothing too dramatic, i started when i was in third grade and wrote a nine page story by hand and my teacher mentioned i was a strong writer for my age. i wrote all the time in school, picked up fanfic in like early 2019 (which also conveniently was my first g/t writing)

and uhh i started just because the feeling of writing was really rewarding and freeing. i loved roleplaying on roblox all the time too i would love making long descriptions of things n such :DD

i think i'm on a good track, i have 42 full-fledged wips that i have some ideas for, 3 book ideas and a cool and supportive community to share my growth with :]

21 : could you ever quit writing? do you ever wish you could? why or why not?

honestly, no, i don't think i ever could. even if i change my mind about pursuing it as a career i could never stop it being my hobby. it's so freeing and a great way to unwind, i love the thought of writing all of my life and the thought of what my writing will be like in a few years if i'm writing like this now (which is such an improvement from 6 months ago, let me say. and yeah i'm complimenting my work for once)

i never do wish i could, because i know that regardless of if i take a break or not i'm never going to completely abandon it. i have ideas that i'm too in to be out of,,,

22 : how organized are you with your writing? describe to me your organization method, if it exists. what tools do you use? notebooks? binders? apps? the cloud?

it depends on my wips, but for the sake of convenience i'll just go off of my aus on here: it is so messy. there is no organization, and if it is there are so many wips of my organization ideas, it's so sad. i have tried so many different ways to organize my thoughts because doing lists and making things look neat and tidy is my favorite, but on the opposite end i get bored countlessly listing out information i already know, so uhh yeah no organization. occasionally i'll jot down like "make sure to add this!" in my notes app or at the end of wtv im working on

24 : how much prep work do you put into your stories? what does that look like for you? do you enjoy this part or do you just want to get on with it?

i love the thought of prep work, hate actually doing it. i go in head first, usually with a mental map of whatever i want to happen. a lot of the time though i let the story write itself cuz i'm lazy like that :'D

i dislike trying to actually sit myself down to make things all laid out and ready to be written cause..........gagghghhsadskdj

29 : where do you draw your inspiration? dhat do you do when the inspiration well runs dry?

it depends! some of my ideas are directly from a movie or show i watch, usually taking the idea of an "au" not from the fandom but from that show specifically if that makes sense,, other times my head'll give me some three am ideas or random ideas.

i also really like picking a color and making an inspiration board off of it! it gives me some cool ideas cause imagery can tell a big story sometimes imo

when the well is try i usually either work on other stuff or just wait for it to rain again so there's water to run off of.

31 : write a short love letter to your readers.

idk about a love letter but honestly y'all are literally so cool. i know my community isn't remotely close to any big publishers' fanbases but damn it feels so overwhelming in the best way possible to get showered with love by the people i can easily recognize whenever i post something! to have over 100 notes on some of my fics and know that every like on my work is an individual person is just baffling. to know i have almost 200 followers in my corner, even if some of them are bots or following me for other content, it's fucking amazing. sweet comments and questions about my work is just fucking exhilarating!! it's so motivating to hear "write more of this" because damn. demanding. people demand i write more. it's SO COOL. joining social media was probably the worst decision i've ever made but tumblr has singlehandedly fixed every doubt i've had about being on the internet :) <3

32 : what is a line from a poem/novel/fanfic etc that you return to from time and time again? how did you find it? what does it mean to you?

i will do fanfic bc. yeah wtv. anyway there are a few, i think that if i'm being actually serious and not doing joke ones, i absolutely love the ending off passerine, it's so perfect. i am tearing up thinking abt it ngl which sounds dumb but damn. "he had a life before this, a mother, a father, a home, sisters and brothers, but what he had now was alright too. he stood alone in his bedroom mirror, combing his hair back from his face to braid it for the day, tucking it behind an ear where a sapphire earing hung, catching sunlight. he paused when he saw it, leaning in close to make sure it wasn't a trick of the light, or the lingering traces of a dream. he blinked once, twice, his mortal heart caught in his throat. there, nestled amongst the pink strands, delicate as a bird's wing, was a single, grey hair. if he listened closely, he could hear his brother coming down the hallway, looking for him. but this moment was his alone, half-sobbing, half-laughing, he fell against his chair and closed his eyes against the sudden sting of tears. he could see in his mind, a field of flowers under an open sky, a place for waiting, where all the finished stories went. where he too would go someday. a knock came at his door, and technoblade began to smile." LIKE DUDE. I AM SUCH A SUCKER FOR ENDINGS TO STORIES. it's so dramatic and so domesicated and passerine is such a short story all in all but it's so perfectly written and captures relationships so well. it shows technoblade's acceptance of death so well, and although he'd been wanting of death for a while it still kind of shows how he is eager to pursue the rest of a mortal life.

also from passerine i like "this is what it feels," someone gasped, "to lose everything" I LOVE IT. tommy is their everything and losing him made the story turn so dull,, it went from silver to grey easily. love it.

ALSO. FUCKING ROOFTOPS. it is such an old fic, but it's the second fic i've ever read in the fandom. “youuu aren’t real. nope! noo, no you aren’t. youu’re not reeaal, you'ree inn my head. my head! geoorge is in my head again!” it's just so sad. i love it. the atmosphere of this scene despite it being out of context here is still just so perfect. the vibes of rooftops have never left my head.

and also this absolutely doesn't count but there's a comment on rooftops that said "this is the same story where they went camping" and i have never gone a day without thinking about that LMAO

33 : do you practice any other art besides writing? does that art ever tie into your writing, or is it entirely separate?

hghghhhhh not really, no other art. cooking and baking sometimes but i wouldn't call my skill level art LMAO

but it did start a gbbo au and has helped a lot with terminology and stuff!!

summary: Rafe tries to save his relationship after stealing money from her, part 2 of my fic “Thief”

warnings: language, bit of angst and sadness (happy ending tho)

Rafe’s texts and calls were almost endless. The boy tried so hard to reach you. After a few days, you completely shut off your phone and put it away into your nightstand drawer.

Of course, it would’ve been easier to just block him but that seemed too mean. Even though what he did was worse, you deserved a break.

You weren’t sure how to feel. How could the person you trusted do something like this to you. But at the same time, you knew what kind of things he was going through. You were put at a tough position.

A week had passed and he had given up on the messaging and calling. Not that you would know though. Your phone had been shut off the entire time.

Rafe almost couldn’t believe his eyes when he ran into you in the grocery store. You acted like you didn’t see him and walked right past him.

“What the fuck, Y/N? So you’re going to act like you don’t even know you?” he said, too loudly to your liking. People’s heads turned towards you two.

You quickly scurried back to him, looking up into his eyes angrily. “Don’t do this right now!” you whisper-shouted.

“Do what?”

“Don’t cause a fucking scene here in the middle of the store.”

“Then talk to me. It’s all I’m asking, Y/N.”

You walked up to the cash register and placed your items on the counter. When you were starting to pull out your wallet from your purse, Rafe had already swiped his card and paid for your groceries.

“I don’t need you to pay for my stuff.”

“I know but-” he couldn’t even finish his sentence because you had already taken your stuff and were on your way out of the store.

Rafe quickly followed you to your car. “Y/N, please, just hear me out.”

“I’m not sure if I want to Rafe,” you admitted.

You threw your groceries into the trunk of your car and then sat into the driver’s seat, slamming the car door right in front of his face. You backed out of the parking lot, leaving him standing there with a frown on his face.

The same evening, you hear a knock at your front door. Your parents weren’t home. They were out on a date. Cute, I know.

Your first guess was that it would be Rafe. So for a second, you thought about just not going answering the door. But after a few moments, you realized how childish you were being.

So you stood up from the couch you were sitting on and made your way to the front door. To your surprise, it wasn’t Rafe. It was Wheezie.

“Hey, what are you doing here?”

“Rafe sent me,” she said, being straight up.

You rolled your eyes. “Of course he did. Come in.” Opening the door wider, you let Wheezie in.

“Do you want anything? Water? Tea? Coffee?”

“No, I’m good. Thanks for offering though.”

You both took a seat on your couch, facing each other. “So, why did he send you here?”

“Uhh he said that you’re refusing to talk to him.”

“So he sent you to do the talking? Pathetic.”

“Yeah, basically. He actually wrote you a letter.” Wheezie pulled out a white envelope from her the pocket of her jacket and handed it over to you.

“He wrote me a letter? Rafe? Are you sure that we’re talking about the same Rafe?” You raised your eyebrow at Wheezie before ripping open the envelope to reveal a folded paper. The letter.

“I know. I was surprised at first too.”

You unfolded the paper and sure enough, Rafe’s messy handwriting was there. “You mind if I take a few minutes to read this?”

“Sure, take as long as you need.”

And then you started reading.

Dear Y/N,

I fucked up. Again. And I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m out of ideas. I know what I did was wrong on so many levels. I knew the consequences and I still did it anyway. There’s nothing that I can do or say that would make the fact that I stole from you okay. I could say that I did it because of the current issues in my life. But I can’t blame my actions on other people. I did it. It’s entirely my fault. I’m sorry. From the bottom of my heart. I know you don’t trust me anymore and most likely hate me. And I get it. I hate me too. I beat myself up about it every day. But the thing is Y/N, I want to save our relationship. I love you and I’m willing to literally anything to prove it to you. I promise I’ll work through my problems and that I’ll never do anything that might hurt you in any way. Let me prove my love to you.

A single tear fell onto the pice of paper that you were holding in your hand. Wheezie noticed it.

“Are you okay, Y/N?” She scooted closer to you and brushed your hair out of your face. “And be honest.”

“No, I’m not.”

She pulled you into a hug and you cried into her shoulder. “You want to talk about it?”

“I don’t know what to do anymore.”

“What are your options?”

“Forgiving Rafe or breaking up with him. I want to forgive him. I really do. But I don’t know if I can.”

“I think you two should work it through. Rafe really cares for you. He loves you more than any of us. The way he’s been acting all week is just sad to look at. I’m not saying you should forget what he did but maybe you can find it in your heart to forgive him.”

Wheezie’s words made the gears in your head turn. She was right. For some reason she always was. God, you really loved that little girl.

“Thank you, Wheezie. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

“You’d probably be very depressed cause I’m so awesome.”

“You totally are.”

You got up from the couch, wiping away your tears. “Let’s go. I’ll drive you home.”

“Ugh thank you. Rafe made me walk here.”

“He did? What an ass!” you said, making Wheezie giggle.

On the drive to the Cameron household, Wheezie pulled one of your hands away from the wheel and held it in hers. She knew you were nervous from the way your hands were gripping the wheel, knuckles turning white.

“Relax. It’ll be just fine.”

When you stopped the car in front of the house, Wheezie pulled you into a hug. “You got this.”

“Thank you, Wheezie.”

“Now go get your mans.” You laughed and got out of the car, following her into the house.

“He’s probably in his room,” Wheezie informed you before disappearing into the kitchen. You made your way up the stairs towards Rafe’s room.

You softly knocked on the door, waiting for an answer.

“What the fuck do you want?” he angrily shouted from behind the door.

“Uhh, Rafe, it’s me.” The door was opened almost immediately. Rafe stood in front of you, wearing sweatpants and an old band t-shirt.

“Y/N.”

“Hi.” you gave him a small smile before asking if you could enter his room. He mumbled an ‘of course’ and opened the door wider, closing it after you had walked in.

“So, I read your letter.” Rafe stayed quiet, staring at the ground.

“I came here to tell you that I will forgive you.” At that his eyes shot up, looking into yours.

“Are you serious?”

“Yes. But I will not forget it. I’m giving you one last chance, Rafe.”

“I completely understand.”

“It will take me time for me to trust you again.”

“I know, I deserve it, I’m sorry.”

“I know you are. And that’s why I’m going to help you with your problems.”

“Really?”

“Yes, of course. I love you and I’m not giving up on you. On us.”

uhh, i don’t really write a lot of stuff with super angsty endings, though i would say some of my stuff with more open endings could be considered angsty so I guess Internalized doesn’t have a very happy ending, it’s def open ended but it leaves room for some healing or really anything from my All You Wanna Do series

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

probably either Sick and Snippy or Without You but legit most of mine are just pure fluff

oof, my pain (won’t be forever more) thing. it was suppose to be a royalty, medieval kind of au but i wrote it when i was just starting out writing so its like really bad and im not into writing long, multi-chapter kind of fics so i probably won’t ever actually finish (sorry if any one actually likes it </3 but i look back and cringe)

15. What are your writing strengths?

im not really sure but i think i would say probably more serious character studies, specifically ian (which is kind of funny cause when i was first starting out, i wrote more for mickey)

i think i have a lot tbh, i think i struggle with long form, structured ideas which is why i prefer to write about feelings rather than plot, does that make sense?

i’ve done it a couple times with ukrainian but i really dont think i’ll do it a lot cause i dont think ive ever done it even close to perfectly

Uhh tbh maybe Let's Make a Deal or the Going Angst Week prompt I did? LMaD was the first phic I ever wrote based on louroalka's demon au and honestly only want it to get more attention because that au is INCREDIBLE, the Going Angst Week one I'm just proud of how I wrote it even though it's really short haha

I'm really grateful for any attention my fics get tho! I know none of my fics are huge deals or anything, but I can't put into words how happy it makes me that so many people enjoyed my fic based on my Barista Danny AU!

6. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

I always try to! I have a couple sitting in my inbox rn just because I'm super forgetful, but I want people to know that I'm acknowledging them and the fact that they decided to read/interact w my work means a lot to me

I do! Active voice and I've been told I'm pretty good with "show, don't tell" and capturing emotions

Definitely active voice though, as a journalist that shit is drilled into my head and when I see passive voice an alarm sounds in my head even though I do not personally give that much of a shit

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

Tenses, and the actually sharing it with people part gives me so much anxiety

In my creative writing class when I had to share my fiction piece (which I posted to my main blog if anyone wants to read!), I was messaging Kateh throughout my entire class/critique because I was so nervous I was on the verge of tears lmao

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I think it's fantastic when it adds to the character or is important in some way! I feel there should definitely be some sort of research done to be sure things are being used correctly as well

I didn't realize this question was coming up I guess I'll reveal now it was Sonic the Hedgehog back in my dA days

december ‘20 writing progress (and yearly wrap-up)

december progress:

projects worked on:

- sylvix dreamscape fic - edited/posted the sylvix xmas fic, “where the love light gleams” - finished writing the altea rising recap - worked on a couple secret projects

december goals: - reach my yearly goal of writing 250k words....*sweats* (ok i didn’t quite get there but i’ll give myself credit cuz i was only like 200 words off) - finish/submit final draft of piece for long live zine - finish editing and publish the sylvix xmas fic! - finish/publish [redacted] and [redacted] - work some more on the sylvix dreamscape fic - finish the altea rising recap summary (and....maybe work a little on chapter 19 if i have time)

well, december was....a very busy month. had kind of a hellish start to the month what with a health-related thing (not covid, don’t worry i’m fine dkfjdl) so that kinda sapped my energy for about a week. then ofc there was the holidays and everything. aaand on top of that i had like four writing deadlines (although like....two of them were postponed so that was good haha).

but anyway! i did at least manage to finish a couple of things––mainly my sylvix christmas fic (“where the love light gleams”), finishing/submitting my “long live” zine piece, FINALLY finishing the altea rising recap summary ... and also finishing one secret thing that is not published yet, but it’s for a fandom i’ve never written before and i’ll be very excited to publish it once i can!

other than that, i mostly worked on the sylvix dreamscape fic and on a secret santa exchange fic that i still have not finished (we extended the deadline to end of january bc like...no one in the group had finished by end of december lol).

i didn’t quite reach my goal of 250k words for the year, but i mean my initial goal was 150k and i only ended up being about 200 words shy of 250k SO i still think that’s a big win lol.

as for what i’ll be working on next: top priority is finishing the secret santa fic. but i also hope to keep working on the sylvix dreamscape fic. aaand hoping to edit/publish the klance hotel au by the end of january maybe, since uh i finished a draft of it in november and STILL have not finished editing that so OOPS. and mayyybe will finally delve into finishing the last few chapters of altea rising, and maybe at least start editing chapter 15 but that’s pretty optimistic of me lmao.

2020 wrap up:

all in all, a very productive year! there were some yearly goals i did not reach (i.e. finishing my old klance multichaps.....rip) but i mean, i also ended up getting involved in (and writing fic for) several other fandoms, so i couldn’t really have anticipated that at the beginning of the year. i’m really happy with the two sylvix fics i’ve published so far, and i hope to write a lot more for them this year!

so yeah... i have a few big projects i want to tackle in 2021. firstly the sylvix dreamscape fic is...already over 30k and i’m estimating it’ll probably end up being a total of somewhere around 50k-60k so uh yeah that’s gonna be a big commitment lol. but i think i’m gonna do the same thing i did with “cover my skin...” and make it a chaptered fic. not sure when i will start posting it but i’m hoping ideally sometime in like late february or early march, depending on a few things.

i have a few other sylvix fics i also hope to at least start writing sometime this year. one in particular i have had fully planned out for months but ironically have not started it yet even though it was the first sylvix fic idea i came up with... but yeah i might start that one after the dreamscape fic is done. i also have a couple aus that i might tackle, but they both need a lot more fleshing out before i even begin writing them so hmm we shall see.

besides that... i do really honestly want to finish my klance multichaps even tho it’s been...over a year since i updated either of them and idk if anyone even gives a shit anymore but i’m a completionist at heart and just wanna see them through sooo yEAH. i have at least finished writing up a (very long) summary of everything i’ve written of altea rising so far, mostly to recap myself to make sure i tie up all the loose ends in the last few chapters. i did work a bit on actually writing it in 2020 although tbh i like kinda fell off the rails once i fell into fe3h/sylvix hell BUT i still intend to get back to it because i do still have a soft spot for it and want to finish it. and long story short, i’ve decided to divide up what i’ve written of the last part into like...5-ish chapters so yeah, hopefully i can start posting those at some point in the near future. ....and uhh i don’t think i worked on red skies at all in 2020 which makes me sad bc i still love that fic dearly and want to complete it as well, it just may take me a few months to get back to it but hey if i’m able to update it at all in 2021 that would be great haha. another thing i’m hoping is to possibly open commissions in 2021, something i said i would do in 2020 and never did but....kinda wanna give it a try, especially because i am funemployed once again. :’) AND LASTLY...i’ve been planning an original wlw YA sci-fi novel for like two years and i would really love to start at least the first draft of it this year....that would be neat.

so yeah this post is starting to get insanely long but i’ll just wrap up with my 2021 goals and january goals, and...yeah. 2020 sure was a weird year, here’s hoping 2021 is (at least..slightly...??) better.

i..... do, but it only has one fic, and i only have 2 published fics in total

i have really really terrible executive functioning problems, and writing fic is hard for me because it's self-motivated. i really really want to write and have dozens and dozens of pretty fleshed out ideas it's just that my dumb brain won't let me

my one work-around is that i WILL write as part of an event or an exchange, because an exteriorly enforced deadline with a person to disappoint if i don't hold up my end of the bargain is basically the only way i've found that will actually get me typing

uhh,, this also means i've only done prompts given to me by other ppl, but it's better than literally nothing at all, which is the alternative

okay so here's the first fic i ever actually finished and published, which was for a valentine's exchange last year. it's an andreil diner au and it's not super long. a year in retrospect it's,,, okay. i think i could have done a little more for neil on his own. i'd had a bit of rough experience right before writing this so enjoy some cathartic violence

and then this is the second fic i ever finished and my ao3. it's for the reverse big bang last year. here's the artist’s post with the artwork for the fic, and here's the post i made ab it when it got posted. this one is 3 chapters, about 11k, and it is a........ catboy twinyards au

right anyway i tried to go for more of a khajit vibe instead of cutesy and funny. it's a series of vignettes rather than a plot. i reread it within like the last month and i still mostly like it. i think my,, intentions with the first chapter were good but i'm a little iffy on how i portrayed dan. i still like the other two chapters tho. also not to toot my own horn but the dialogue is very bitchy and pithy and fun

(ALSO SIMS!!! i’ll get to that in a minute) now see if i don’t google levidia right this minute LMAOO, not that i’m gonna use it.. just for the research...

AND HDKSHS SEND THAT CHAOS WALKING LINK LMAO i saw it for the third time with a different one of my friends and she wasn’t the best one to see it with? she literally was on her fucking phone and i was like ok whatever her loss not mine, and idk if you’ve read the books or if you’ve seen it by now, but by the end of the whole movie, after they’ve confirmed THE THING throughout the whole movie she asked the dumbest question and i’m like diD YOU NOT WATCH THE MOVIE, and i guess she didn’t. so. this sounds so vague but i don’t wanna spoil the movie for you just in case lol.

THE STORY LMAOO, so A DIFFERENT FRIEND LOL, like my oldest bff, we had a day together and we wanted to go see chaos walking. and i honest to God thought that no one would be seeing this movie. like NO ONE. every day, i checked the theater seating and no one was there right? plus i really wanted us to have the theater to ourselves. so we sit in the wrong seats, the row in front of us, STILL THINKING WE’RE ALONE. and then these 3 older people came in AND IM ABOUT TO SCREAM FHSJSH AND IM LIKE “are we in your seats?” and they we were like uh yeah, AND IT WAS SO BAD LMAOO , we’re moving and everything would’ve been FINE but my friend’s reclined seat was going down so slow and as it’s going shes LITERALLY SAYING ALOUD “awkward awkward awkward” so she thinks forget it, lemme just get up. HER BAG GETS CAUGHT ON HER CHAIR AND HER FRIES AND THEY SPILL ALONG WITH HER HONEY MUSTARD 😭😭 ALL OVER THE FLOOR! so i’m trying not to laugh lmao but those aren’t even our seats and we just made a mess, so naturally, i get on the floor and start cleaning it up with my napkins (this is going for too long) AND MY FRIEND IS STILL SAYING “awkward awkward awkward awkward” and i’m really abt to crack up bECAUSE LIKE SHUT UP HAHAHA and we’re cleaning it and shit and the oldest lady is gonna say “yeah you’re not gonna make an old lady get on the floor, are you?” AND I WANTED TO LAUGH AND SCREAM AT THE SAME TIME BC DID WE ASK YOU TO, NO, so then i had to get the manager and she helped us clean it, we got new fries and everything was fine, it’s just a crazy story bc LITERALLY WE COULDVE AVOIDED IT AND EVERYTHING BUT THESE ELDERLY PEOPLE HAD TO COME AND SEE THIS MOVIE😭😭 at least the gentlemen was nice.. he helped us clean. but then his wife was like “i aM nOt siTTiNg tHeRe” and at first i thought she was a teenager bc of her stink attitude but her husband was nice. and it’s not like we weren’t cleaning it up, we were!!! like i was so apologetic- anyway.

SIMS ahhh, BUNK BEDS, ahhhh sdljdjdjdkdkdldksj i actually haven‘t played it since the update 🤧🤧 i made both of my sims (enisa (bestselling author already, thank you) and michael (aspiring doctor)) go to university and bro it takes so long 😭😭 and you can‘t do anything else if you want them to do well so literally the last three times i played sims i was just constantly clicking their homework and computerd to write their assignments (i play it in german so idk what its called on the sims) and do their presentations and do them all over again so that they get better or whatever for HOURS, but imma play again soon

also i‘m living my fanfiction life loool, so i made my two sims neighbours (on the same plot tho but i made two small separate houses lol, i still wanted to control both of them at the same time but i made sure they didn‘t interact before i wanted them to skdjdjdk). and first they both experimented and got some experience in the love department you know (all genders, cause i have to live my sexuality even in a pc game slskdjh— wait, i‘ve never lived my sexuality irl like i‘ve done NOTHING nothing with guys nothing with girls (🥲) but maybe that’s why i want to do it even more in the sims) and then they met at uni and realised like hey we‘re neighbours and now they‘re together (but michael accidentally had an alien baby with another woman (who was an alien which i was not aware of) cause i wasn‘t paying attention like i said woohoo not try for baby like michael why is your pull out game so weak tf LSHDDHDJDJSKKDKSKDKS okay but making out and flirting and doing all the fun stuff in the sims turns me on way more than it should PFAHAHHAHSH) so idk why i told you this but I’m creating that neighbour!au in the sims lmaoooo

YES, and i miss it!! i used to camp regularly and really love my pseudo-glamping life: cooler full of good food, a double high air mattress, and a tent that allows you to stand up in the center (to change clothes). i haven’t gone since coming to california, which is a total bummer.

17. do you take vitamins? yes, vit. D and fish oil daily, ideally i would have a good multi, PS, and maybe a couple other things, but i can’t afford them all right now. my minimum is a D though, since yr body really does NOT get it from sun exposure. i know it sounds silly but vitamins are basically the concrete you pour in a hole to stabilize a beam (yr food). they’re very good and they help a lot!

18. do you go to church every sunday? NO, thank goodness! i even stopped having to go with my family when i visit them.

19. do you have a tan? no, and i rarely do. SPF all the way.

20. do you prefer Chinese food or pizza? pizza please

21. do you drink your soda with a straw? only fountain sodas with ice

42. describe your kitchen plates? the classic 70s/80s unbreakable plates, some with the gold flowers around the rim and some with the tiny olive green ones. truly i think i have only seen a plate like this break once in my entire life. i bought these at a store in nyc (i definitely overpaid BUT it was still like $20 for 6 or 8 plates that will never break)

43. do you have a favourite alcoholic beverage? a properly made sidecar is HEAVEN, ok? so good!! but you gotta use good brandy and fresh lemons and i would get one if i could go back to my fave nyc bar and have pietro (a very good bartender) make me one. but really the thing that i will always want and have difficulty turning down is champagne/sparkling wine in the style of champagne.

44. do you play cards? yes! i used to play all the time with my ex. don’t so much any more but i still love it when i get to!

45. what colour is your car? dark orange

46. can you change a tire? YES!! @ha-larry-us when the quarantine is done I will show you!! it really isn’t too hard unless your bolts are on super tight.

47. what is your favourite state/province? California, i think. though part of me wants to name a southern state because I was born there and the mountains feel like home.

48. favourite job you’ve ever had? the one i currently have but am physically unable to work at right now-- cheesemonger at a worker owned grocery store

49. how did you get your biggest scar? i was borrowing stage makeup from a friend in another dorm before our choir performance. the door was usually propped open, and so when i left the building i sorta jogged down the steps and pushed really hard on the door with my momentum. it was NOT propped open, and I put my right arm through the glass (and knocked out two more panes with my knee and foot). the RA was training to be an EMT and helped me get cleaned up. I didn’t get stitches, but the scar is very long (maybe 3 inches). the best part of the story is that i went to make sure the choir director knew i wasn’t performing but would sit in the audience, and her response was “we don’t have time to give you sympathy.” she was having a rough year but DAMN that was an ice cold response to an injured 18 year old.

50. what did you do today that made someone else happy? hmm probably just chatting with my bff. that makes both of us happy, always.

A Slice Of My Love Chapter 3. Kiddo?

Hello children! Once again, I am present with a story about an insane boy, and a piece of bread. Well, this chapter isn’t about the bread as much as it is about a dad worried about his dark strange son.

This chapter goes a little far back from where chapter 2 ended. Actually to the beginning of chapter 2. But from a different point of view. (I’ve given you two hints as to who’s POV it’s from.) Also, no angst in this chapter. Just stupid humor.

Pairings: The glasses gays. (Aka Logicality, you wanna know why we be doing the glasses gays show today? BECAUSE I AM THE GODDESS OF WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS FIC!!! I COULD FUCKEN END A LAIFU UP IN HERE IF I FELT LIKE IT!!! I don’t tho.)

Tw: Major “What the fuck is wrong with Virgil” moments but not “What the fuck” because Patton doesn’t curse, Patton rambling, a little Patton breakdown, cursing (Only in the A/N tho. Because I like to run my mouth apparently)

Patton’s POV

I couldn’t believe it. Virgil wasn’t taking care of himself at all!! As far as I knew, he hadn’t slept since he locked himself in his room. I didn’t even know what I was saying at this point. I was too tired and too worried at the same time.

“Kiddo you need to sleep! This is so terrible for you!! You haven't slept in GOD knows how long!!!”

He was staring at the counter, well, the bread bag to be more specific. Logan’s been teaching me how important being specific is. Virgil looked like he was debating with himself, then he started to stare with interest at the bread. What’s so interesting about bread? I thought.

“Virgil are you even-” He cut me off.

“Hey, Pat?”

“Yeah, kiddo?”

“Who’s that guy on the counter?”

In that moment I thought he was insane. I didn’t want to show it, but I know I did. I just stared at Vee, then the counter, then Vee, then the counter. This went on for a little while before the shock left. “Virgil, are you sure you’re ok? There’s no one there.”

“I’m never ok. But there is someone there. He’s just chilling on the counter. Staring at us.”

If I didn’t look at him like he was insane before, then I totally did this time. I felt like physically fighting him at that self-deprecation, but now wasn’t the place or time to do so. He started to drink his coffee again. Most likely to drown out the silence.

I didn’t know what to do. But I had a hunch as to who would know. Granted, he’s probably sleeping. I don’t want to worry him with Virgil’s not sleeping, and the fact that I’m up at 3 am. But, he’d much rather I come to him than try to solve a problem that I don’t know how to. I’m gonna go ask Logan.

“Excuse me for one moment kiddo.” Then I went back upstairs.

Once I got to Logan’s door I hesitated. Are you gonna knock on the door or what? Are you crazy!! We can’t knock on the door!! Logan’s gonna be so ticked that we woke him up!!! I’M CRAZY??? Hun, you’re the crazy one!! Logan loves us!! He won’t be ticked for very long if we go ask him for help with the Virgil thing. But- Butts are for sitting. Our kiddo needs to sleep. I honestly think that he’s going insane!! We need to help him. If Logan is the only way to do that then so be it. FINE!!

After the miny argument with myself had resolved itself, I knocked on the door.

“Patton? What brings you here at this hour?”

Logan’s voice was layered thick with exhaustion. He was still in his normal outfit of jeans, a black polo, and tie. However, his hair was a mess and his glasses were slightly askew. He must’ve fallen asleep at his desk.

Oh god. I immediately regretted my decision. As I was just about to turn around and go downstairs, Logan invited me inside.

“Patton, you can come inside if you so wish.”

I didn’t need to be told twice.

I practically ran inside his room. Then I started pacing, and rambling.

“Logan, we gotta problem. Virgil hasn’t been sleeping and I think there’s something wrong with him. He thought that there was a person sitting on the counter when really there was only the bread bag. And I know that it’s like 3am and that I should be sleeping and that I shouldn’t have bothered you at 3 am with this stupid kind of stuff. But I-”

Logan must’ve been really tired. Like REALLY tired. On a normal day, I would have never expected him to do what he did next.

He kissed me.

Like we’ve kissed before, but when I start to ramble he just sits there and listens, or he interrupts me and tells me that I’m being ridiculous.

He’s never cut me off by kissing me.

It isn’t a very Logan thing to do. If anything, I’d expect Roman to do something like that. But not Logan.

Now, I’m not complaining. It was amazing. Logan is a really good kisser. It was just really unexpected. And most likely the result of it being 3am.

Once we broke apart, I started to blush like crazy!! I’m talken like ears red and everything. Once Logan realized what he’d done he jumped on the blush boat really quickly.

“I apologize for that sudden outburst Patton.” Between you and me, he hardly kept a stri gay face. (Must I remind you, none of the sides can do anything straight? They’re all gay.)

“But I’m not that sorry at the same time. You were ranting again. All I understood from that was ‘And I know that it’s like 3am and that I should be sleeping and that I shouldn’t have bothered you at 3am with this stupid kind of stuff.’ Like we’ve been over several times, if it’s big enough to bother you, it’s not stupid.”

His tone of voice was soft. It was the same tone when Thomas became “Mr. Sanders” temporarily. (I’m thinking the “Morality, what are we doing wrong?” tone.) I’m pretty sure he’s only used this tone with me. It made me feel special, to have such an amazing person care for me so much.

“You’re right.” I started. I took a deep breath to calm me down, and to hopefully help me not rant this time. “Virgil hasn’t been sleeping. I’m assuming since he locked himself in his room. And I think he’s starting to lose it. He thought that someone was sitting on the counter when really, it was just the bread bag.”

My voice quivered and threatened to speed up, but I managed to keep relatively calm during that statement. Emphasis on that statement.

The reality must’ve sunk all the way in, after saying it out loud, or something. Why? Because at that moment, I almost started to cry. Logan noticed this and pulled me in close for a hug before I started crying.

“See? There we go! I could understand you. Now I can help you.” He kept the soft tone of voice. If we’re all being honest here, that tone of voice could turn me into butter in seconds!!

“Why don’t we go downstairs and check on him. Then we can see what we can do to help.”

Why did I ever doubt coming to Logan for help? He can seem cold, but he is the most caring and amazing boyfriend anyone could ask for.

“Thank you, Logan.”

I must’ve not have been functioning like a normal human being, as well. What I did wasn’t a very me thing, at all. But I got to pay him back for earlier. This time…

I kissed him.

Short and sweet, but still.

Once we got downstairs, I half expected to see Virgil either:

Sitting on the counter drinking from the coffee pot.,

Sitting on the tabletop drinking from the coffee pot or,

Passed out at the table or anywhere really.

But I didn’t expect to see a piece of bread sitting on the couch, Virgil standing halfway between the commons and the kitchen, bright red, like the kind of blush that the blush boat brought earlier, and him saying “Okay. Don’t quote Heathers at me and just walk away.” to the bread.

He ran to a weird random spot. Logan was going to say something. I put up a hand to tell him not to.

“Excuse me. Hi. Uhh… I never did catch your name.” Virgil went even more red with that statement. He stood there in shock almost. Like he saw and heard something that we couldn’t.

Logan and I looked at each other and then Virgil. I don’t think Logan had fully grasped the situation from what I told him upstairs. Now, standing here, watching Virgil quote one of the musicals that he quotes with Roman, by himself, with a piece of bread sitting on the couch, I think we both grasped how crazy the whole thing was.

Logan cleared his throat and I finished his thought for him.

“Kiddo? Why are you talking to yourself?

I know that it is Friday, but it’s not 11:59 pm. I am still victorious!! I have no clue where I want to take chapter 4. I might be coming down with writer's block. Who knows?

I don’t think I’m ever gonna stop with that cursed phrase.

I hope y’all liked this chapter. I personally think I could have done better but I still like it.

1. Your first OC ever? hmm, there's probably two answers 1) an unnamed character who was basically a fantasy dressed fox kemono boy. do you remember playing a game as a kid where you look out the window in a car and you imagine someone doing sick parkour beside your car? he was the character i imagined (there was also a whole other story i dreamt up where i was some long lost princess from other world and he was gonna save me from this one but that's a whole other thing) he's technically a character i thought of but never thought of anything beyond that, i don't think i ever drew him either 2) 4 (maybe 5) characters i made in middle school where it was about these characters that come from families that can bend one particular element, and they're all friends on school trying to get used to their passed down powers and also be basically kid superheroes. i drew them out and gave them names, but i never wrote anything beyond that, but they were definitely ones that i would call my first actual written ocs 2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs? -looks at ace, eliott, and mel- no 3. Have you ever adopted a character or gotten a character from someone else? yup! before i wasn't so big on the adopt thing, but i turned into a fan w/ collecting designs and writing a lil story for them! i adopted 38 characters, and one other that's currently still in the process of trade :P (and unfortunately trying to purge some away) 4. A character you rarely talk about? unfortunately that'd be a lot of characters bc i'm super focused on drawing ace/ mel smooching for the 548787th time 5. Is there any OC of yours you could describe as a “sunshine”? me personally, i'd say eliott bc that baby boy is trying his best story wise, either thorne or lucas (but totally lucas since thorne is a liar at heart) 12. Name an OC that isn’t yours but who you like a lot TOO MANY AUGH the very first oc i fell in love with but was forever homes was like a fantasy setting character that was an adventurer and had eagle legs/ other features w/ banging colours but other than that too many others 13. Do you have any troublemaker OCs? again, a lot, i guess. bc they mostly fall into that trope? aiden (even though he's trying to be a better person), damien, eve, hugh (in a way), jack, ollie, ricky, roman, and wyatt 14. Introduce an OC with a tragic backstory uhhhh, hard to choose, i don't have any more bc i haven't written their backstories yet lol - growing up as a theif his whole life to support him and his mother, accidentally kills someone after an awakening of powers and is had to run from his hometown - growing up being shadowed over and forced to be someone that they're not, only to get their hubris get to them, causing themselves and others get hurt and can't even remember the person they loved - growing up w/ betrayal after betrayal she closed herself off, but they met someone and slowly opened up and accidentally fell in love w/ them, only later getting caught and fell from grce, then only to find the person they trusted before not remember them - after being caught on what seemed to be a fatal accident, gets rescured from a miraculous surgery, but he's slowly forgetting what he looks like and who he was every passing second - two people close to each other, only to end up w/ betrayal and lies 15. Do you like to talk about your OCs with other people? absolutely but if they ask me something i haven't planned yet i'm just "UHHH" 16. Which one of your OCs would be the best at biology (school subject)? 17. If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)? for some reason i feel like rosa would be a singer? va hc would be someone w/ a strong husky voice and she would probably sing really well in kind of old slow songs you hear in old bars i also thought maybe lillie could sing too, but they’d usually be softer songs or lullabies to calm herself down it’d be nice/ cool to write for fallen god to be able to sing as well, and maybe the mercenary too so they can have nights signing together. maybe fallen god can sing songs that are in their own god language or whatever, and mercenary can watch in awe there may be others but i can’t think of them rn/ they might be charas i haven’t fully made yet 21. Your most artistic OC lmao it’s a bunch of ocs that i haven’t developed my ocs enough for me to know so let’s skip i guess 22. Is there any OC of yours people tend to mischaracterize? If yes, how? i mean, people get some stuff wrong about my ocs sometimes but they’re usually so small that i really don’t care about it lol 23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like? hmm they relatively stayed the same personality wise but i assure you everyone’s changed from their initial drawing of them 24. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why? that's. a really hard choice actually lol bc i wanna be hugged by one of the parents in the monster family story i made, but i also wanna hang out w/ the characters that i can comfortably hang out w/ lol 25.
