*Deep inhale*
WHAT THE FUCK?!
Ok,look, I bought 'The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo' thinking it was a sweet sapphic love story, right?Oh boy was I wrong.
This book has been a rollercoster to say the least.I knew that it had some sad parts but I got more than I bargained for.
This book had me asking existantial questions that I am not ready for.It was ✨️beautiful ✨️ but I've been honestly sobbing all through out the last few chapters.
So if you wanna read it be ready to have your heart shredded and put together over and over again.

“Doesn’t it bother you? That your husbands have become such a headline story, so often mentioned, that they have nearly eclipsed your work and yourself? That all anyone talks about when they talk about you are the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo?”

“she's such a spectacular woman—by which i mean she, herself, is a spectacle. but she's also deeply, deeply human.”
“i was neither angry nor flattered. i simply didn't care. it cost so much, caring. i didn't have any currency to spend on it. instead, i walked away.”
“i kissed her forehead like she was my baby again because she was forever my baby.”
