Hi! After like 6 years of lurking in the shadows of Tumblr I’m going to actually post something
You can call me Ev, and I’ll probably only ever post about reading, writing, DC, and silly little life updates. If I ever post again who knows honestly
Basic DNI criteria. I’ll block you if you go against anything I stand for.

I've seen this on Twitter but I decided to bring this to Tumblr: Put in the tags a fictional character (or characters) that have changed the trajectory of your life

I really like the elder scrolls linguistically. I wanna do analysis on the place names Like intuitively you can tell Whiterun and Markarth have been influenced by different cultures:
Whiterun feels very much like an Imperial translation of an Atmoran name like we could reconstruct a Proto-Atmoran language ie. hveiti rinna (or I have an alternative analysis where run = river so it's white river or something more literally like 'place near the white river' so it would be like if norse was agglutinative)
Where as Markarth has particular Dwemer influence, elvish but very distinct, possibly indicating it split off from Ald Aldmeris father back then Humeri's and Bosmeris (I think Bosmeris is the closest based on naming convenience ie. Faendal is phonetically similar to Atlmer names with the -Dal suffix)
I can try to reconstruct these is anyone's interested :) or wants to help!
