Euphorbia cyparissias - cypress spurge The plant on the left is a typical flowering cypress spurge, the long thin plants on the right are also cypress spurges but with a fungal infection (Uromyces pisi-sativi). A great example of morphology changing plant pathogens

#mediterraneangarden #jardinmediterraneen #naturephotography #nature #euphorbia #euphorbe #euphorbiacyparissias #floraison #fleur #flowers #jardindesmigrations #mucem #mucemmarseille #mucem_officiel #fetedesplantes (à Mucem) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bwgwz0IlOp2/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1k4kf33zwwla6

New seeds
I bought a whole bunch of seeds, to sell but I also need to sow some of them because I want to be able to help people with advice on how to sow them.
I did keep my guerrilla patch in mind. I wanted some easy to sow seeds.
Daucus carota: I have sown these in the past. I found some growing by the side of the road and I collected the seeds and just threw them in the garden, they grew. So it will be good for my guerrilla patch.
Euphorbia cyparissias: New to this one.I hope it’s easy. I think it will go well in the gravel part of the GP. Maybe with some lavender and nepeta which grows like crazy.
Rhinanthus minor: It’s semi parasitic if that’s a word. It takes energy from grass and makes it easier for flowers to grow. Recommended for every meadow as many have more grass than flowers and flowers are better for pollinators.
Dianthus deltoides: I picked a carmine red variety called “Erectus” (giggle). Again, threw a similar one in the garden back in the day and they grew and soon there was a red carpet. Want this one in the gravel part of the GP.
Anthemis tinctoria: I don’t know why but this was one of the first ones to go on the list. No idea why but here we are. I picked two different varieties, yellow and a white.
Tanacetum parthenium: Grows everywhere, you can throw seeds in the garden and they will grow. Perfect. Popular with pollinators and beneficial insects as well.
Lychnis coronaria: Never liked the common magenta one but it’s a very easy plant to sow and the grayish foliage will be nice… I think. I picked a white variety.
Gypsophila paniculata: As a kid you saw this with roses in bouquets all the time. I always wanted one but being naïve and uneducated I never managed. I picked a variety called “Schneeflocke” just because picture was nice. They are said to be easy and grow well in gravel. I think some lavender nearby will be nice.
Helenium autumnale: Always liked the look of them, autumn flowers, tall. I came across a few people online who struggled with sowing these so I hope I can manage and help out. I went with a red variety called “Helena Red Shades” and then the wild form which is yellow.

Panicum virgatum (Rutenhirse)
Stipa tenuissima (Federgras)
Perovskia atriplicifolia (Blauraute)
Sedum telephium (Hohe Fetthenne)
Salivia nemorosa (Steppensalbei)
Nepeta x faassenii (Katzenminze)
Euphorbia cyparissias (Zypressen-Wolfsmilch)
