The first volume of Delcourt’s french “Star Wars: Heir to the Empire” anthology includes character concept art by Olivier Vatine. The (loosely) translated text from the “New Characters” behind the scenes feature reads:

Olivier Vatine reflects that the most interesting part of the project concerned the creation of new characters. Unfortunately, some of the work had already been done for the Star Wars roleplaying games. Despite this, he tried to inject his vision, hoping that Lucasfilm would not reject everything altogether. In the end, apart from a few hair tweaks (like adding hair to Mara, removing some from Thrawn, and redoing Joruus’s goatee), the other suggestions were accepted.

Talon Karrde is a smuggler, and that’s the only thing he has in common with Han Solo. Unlike Han, Talon is a very organized, methodical person who surrounds himself with a crowd of associates. He is determined to remain neutral in the conflict between the New Republic and the Empire. He remembers the unfortunate events of Jabba the Hutt too well to attempt any association with the Rebels or Imperials. In the comic, he appears as a sort of adventurer, cigar in the corner of his mouth (an object that no character, even secondary character, smokes in the Star Wars universe! So exotic…)

We know very little about Mara Jade’s past, and that’s what she wants. She has allied herself with Talon Karrde and quickly becomes his right-hand woman. She hides her secret identity, despite her loyalty to him. There’s something feline about Mara’s appearance. Everything about her evokes dynamism and strength of character. She gives the impression of being constantly on her guard. Mara appears in many other books after Zahn’s trilogy. She is presumably destined to play a very important role in future Star Wars series.

In this saga, it would have been a shame not to find a few new villains worthy of succeeding Vader. In “Heir to the Empire,” there are two that share the limelight for this role: Grand Admiral Thrawn, supreme leader of the Imperial forces, and Joruus C’boath, a Jedi master dedicated to the Dark Side.

Grand Admiral Thrawn has one peculiarity for an Imperial: he is not human. It’s amazing that he achieved such a rank, considering the physical and racial characteristics required of the Empire’s top leaders. It is probably because of his ruthlessness, his very particular sense of obedience, and his genius for strategy. Through intrigue, Thrawn ensures his succession to the Emperor and obtains new weapons to destroy the Rebellion: cloaking technology, Spaarti cloning cylinders, and above all, he seals an alliance with the Dark Jedi C'baoth. Ultimately, he represents the last hope for reviving the Imperial Order. On the advice of Lucasfilm, Thrawn was given a handsome uniform and a regulation haircut.

WAHOO it's finally the 11th of March – my birthday! To celebrate, I'm hosting my very first draw this in your style challenge!!! Featuring the NQK Future Fam, of course. I love them so much. 😭

The Good Omens Card Game is coming out June 5! 🥳❤

Renegade Game Studios will release Good Omens: An Ineffable Game June 5th, charging players with stopping the apocalypse in seven different battle games, each of which you can learn as you play, all in one box! Each of the seven cooperative battle games sees players taking on a different challenge, and each can be played at varying difficulties!

“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Amazon Studios to bring fans a Good Omens game” said Scott Gaeta, President of Renegade Game Studios, “Being a huge fan myself, it was important that we capture the spirit of the show and I think that designer, Matt Hyra, came up with something fans will really enjoy.”

In Good Omens: An Ineffable Game players will call upon characters, both much-loved and deeply-loathed, in order to defeat the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Fight Heaven, Vanquish Hell, and even prevent Armageddon. The battle games are easy to learn but pack a challenge for any group, and each is themed around the confrontations that take place at the conclusion of Good Omens Season 1.

Fans can catch up on the first season of Good Omens now streaming on Prime Video ahead of the second season premiering July 28th. The series is co-created by Neil Gaiman and is based on the well-loved and internationally best-selling novel by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

Hi everyone, Lemongrace here! I’m an EU-based hobby artist from Poland with a great love for drawing and designing characters from a variety of games. I started out with World of Warcraft, only to branch out to the universes of FFXIV and D&D, and it’s been quite the fun journey!! Besides art and gaming, I’m also interested in history (partly due to my heritage) and learning new languages.

Who/what was the inspiration behind your original character?

Icatia was born out of the idea of a magical girl trope meeting Dungeons and Dragons. I’ve wanted an unapologetically cute character that would remain a beacon of hope in a world full of adversity, finding strength in her own softness. She’s a homage to the childhood heroines such as Usagi from Sailor Moon or Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew.

What made you want to create your own original character?

My friend was running a D&D game, and the previous character I made for the game didn’t click with me—so I turned to something I knew from previous RP ventures! Someone less abrasive and a little more wide-eyed in the big world.

Are there any similarities between you and your OC?

While I’d call us opposites for the most part, both me and Icatia are very much into indulging ourselves when an opportunity arises haha (only difference here being that she’s a rich fantasy noble, and I’m a freelance-hobby artist OTL).

Genuinely, stop with that fucking bullshit about Blue being bad at communication. Like, where the fuck this crowd of people came from on Tubbo’s ALT stream just to tell him that Blue sucks at being friends and talking to each other. THEY DON’T. They are actually really good! So far they did a great job at having all the logging in members in check, sharing tasks, things, even with people who do more solo stuff like Rivers. They have a great chemistry; Tina, Tubbo and Bad are WONDERFUL as an unofficial co-leaders. Tubbo, who is FAMOUSLY BAD AT KEEPING HIS MORAL HIGH AT COMPETITIVE EVENTS, has been SO SUPPORTIVE AND ENCOURAGING, telling his team how he is so proud of them.

They do NOT suck at communication. They have some time management problems, but MOST of those problems are coming from the event structure itself, where it favors PST timezone. Those streamers are not fucking obligated to change their schedules just to have a chance of winning. Especially EU ones.

Honestly, Tubbo spent most of his time on the server trying to make sure to not go hard on Red, stopping Bad from ambushing them, deciding to talk to Phil where he definitely could’ve just leave. Bad LISTENED to Tubbo half of those times and genuinely held himself back so much. Tina NEVER engaged in anything with Red herself. Missa was just minding his own business. AND THAT’S FINE THAT RED KILLED HIM AND THAT CARRE TRIED TO KILL TINA. THAT’S THE GAME. JUST NOT PLAY ALL HIGH AND MIGHTY ABOUT THEIR ACTIONS AND THEN HATE ON BLUE FOR DOING STUFF. Them getting taunted for trying to be nice by saying that they just ‘can’t communicate with each other’ is such a BM.

Tubbo’s chat is AWFUL with Red viewers coming there and parading how they actually route for other team. And telling Blue ‘to just be better at friendship’. It’s so frustrating. When honestly the only reason why red wins them is because they submit tasks at the last minute. Blue has all the same fucking resources. That’s it. It’s a good strategy for winning, but it doesn’t have to do anything with communication in teams.

And also once again: THIS IS A KILLING AND MAIMING EVENT THAT WAS DESIGNED TO PUSH CHARACTERS TO COMMIT ATROCITIES. THATS THE POINT. THEY ARE ALLOWED TO BE TOXIC TO EACH OTHER. THIS IS NOT A QOMMUNICATION ISLAND, THIS IS PURGATORY.

Honestly, I was getting over my annoyance, but then Tubbo’s alt chat happened and it got me spiraling again. I am just so upset. I genuinely feel disdain towards Red just because of the fans, and I hate it, because it’s a good team and I want to enjoy them. But everything I think about them now is just this fandom bullshit.

This is a warning for my red team mutuals: I have nothing against you, I don’t hate the team, you or ccs, genuinely. But I will probably keep being a little hater towards red and pray on their downfall in my posts unless something will turn the tables completely. So I will use #red neg and ‘tw red neg’ in my posts most of the time, you might want to filter it out.

if you like the alec's design, its ok, i'm don't to judge you. but if you like ALEC and him attitudes, bro, i'm preferer die. if you like his design (that's all) and how good he would look in an anime or other more decent character, i agree with you. alec is indeed a beautiful character and in the first few seconds, just in them, relatively captivating. but that's all. if you like the way he looks (like finding the sangwoo cute or any morally questionable anime or manhwa character), and you don't support or brush off, that's fine. and please NO reading this doujin being under 18. there are triggers and sensitive subjects!
