Hi 🤍 Can you share your favourite powders and how you like to use them (sparingly, heavily, T zone, all over)? I'm not a fan of liquid foundation either. Thanks!
I love the L'Oreal Powder Foundations. They're affordable and work like a charm. The Double wear Stay in Place Matte Powder Foundation 2 in 1 longwearing powder from Estee Lauder is also amazing if your skin is a bit on the less oily side. I have heard good things about the Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation from MAC but I personally have not tried it.
Put on some type of moisturising primer or even vaseline if your skin approves and spray some setting spray on top and let it almost dry, then get to work!
I have a medium sized fluffy brush and I take it into the powder then squish the hairs to make them a bit more compact and I swipe that under my eyes to conceal any dark under circles. I avoid putting powder on my oiliest places on my face so I avoid my nose and instead I apply it to the bridge of my nose and in-between my eyes and eyebrows, maybe a bit on my forehead. Doing this has an effect where by it highlights my nose while making my eye region look natural, matte and perfect. After that I go on to apply powder sparingly to my chin for the highlight and under my nose. For my cheeks, I have a mixture of bright orange blush ( my undertone ), so I take some of that with the residue powder and dab it on my cheekbones and temples for a healthy and skin tone flushed look (the blush removes the ghost-ish look that might be there) . If I want a crazy blushy look I either add a deep red blush or a blue tone pastel pink depending on my mood, I get the blushes custom made but it's literally just colourful powder so any would do.
The trick is that the moisture from the oils, moisturisers and primers will catch the dust from the powder and set it in, almost like a customizable coverage foundation and make it blend into your skin.
I don't contour my face with a darker powder, I don't like a sculpted look, I enjoy looking a bit porcelain doll-like. After all of this is done I normally add some eyeliner, inner corner highlight, lashes and I give myself eyebrows! I'm not sure if this works for everybody but you can get a light setting powder and take very little amount and put it under the eyebrows to add some life and highlight to the eyes. That's all :)

Hi guys,
I think I have found my best beauty bargain to date! How do you like the sound of a foundation that costs £5.00!!!!! Yep that's right £5.00 which honestly I still can't believe. RElove by Revolution has just released a brand new foundation called Super Matte Foundation which is a 2 in 1 foundation and concealer.
This foundation is such a game changer from Revolution and to date is their cheapest foundation. Starting off with packaging the frosted glass bottle reminds me of the Estee Lauder Double Wear bottle and like Estee Lauder, it also does not come with a pump. However I did buy the EL foundation pump and it fits the bottle perfectly so it's a easy fix.
Now let's chat about the foundation itself. The Super Matte foundation is a non-cakey, breathable and long lasting, perfect for an all day, full coverage finish. In the pic above aside from the eyes the only makeup I'm wearing is the foundation. I was really surprised at how much coverage this foundation gives you and yet once blended in still looks like skin and not a pile of makeup.
Originally RElove by REvolution had a tinted serum foundation which was nice but it didn't work for my oily combo kin whereas this new release is perfect for my skin type. So if you are looking for a beauty bargain to try out I think this is the perfect pick to try out! I have linked the product above and it comes in 15 shades.

Which shade of red would you prefer? Classic, blueish red or sth with brick undertones? And what is your hair color, that could also help? I'm not a fan of bright red lipstick too. I've been using Sephora's liquid lipstick (yes, totally basic & totally awesome because it doesn't dry my lips, but it doesn't smudge all over either) in shade Coral Sunset for ages now. It's more of a brick red & simultaneously the only red shade that I like to wear.
I’m searching for a blue toned red lipstick, as I don’t particularly like warm tones. My hair color is light brown and my skin tone is light ( Estee lauder double wear in buff 2N2 and Dior backstage shade 2N) with a neutral, but slightly warm undertone.
I should try the Sephora liquid lipstick, their best selling classic red. But if you have recs now that you’ve got more details, I’m all ears.
