After the gmg, Jellal still takes time to practice Mystogan's magic just in case he ever needs to pretend to be him again. He's almost got it down, he doubts he'll ever be as good as Mystogan but he's getting close.

Laxus has a soft spot for kids. He's very good with them too (not Natsu level but close)

Juvia remembers Rogue from Phantom as well. She didn’t know him well but he looked up to her a lot too.

When ft members accidentally destroy a town, they sometimes say their name is Natsu. He's been framed for so much property damage. He doesn't even realize it

Natsu freaked out when he found out Erza’s mom is technically a dragon. “I told you she was a monster!!!”

Gray does end up adopting a cat after the 100yq. Juvia is not pleased by this

The real reason Gray and Natsu didn’t get along is because Gray has mommy issues (Ur’s death) and Natsu has daddy issues (Igneel’s disappearance).

Lucy has both mommy and daddy issues and Erza was an orphan, so the team stayed balanced.

Erza discovering she actually has major mommy issues (Irene) is what really killed Natsu, because it ruined the balance. Lucy’s keeping him alive through the power of her own daddy issues, which happen to be strong enough to sustain him.

The conclusion of Irene's story is satisfying in a bittersweet way. She couldn't have a relationship with her daughter in Earthland; choices and circumstances didn't permit it.But she got the life she always desired - that of a human being - in a world without magic but with plenty of affection - reincarnated as the child of someone who is none other than a version of her daughter. It's certainly bizarre but that's how fate works at times.

I have seen a few people upset about the chapter, Mashima did say it was controversial, and a lot of people talked about how Erza and Irene deserved to be reunited and my response to this is... no. 

 No, they didn't.

Irene did awful, horrible, unforgivable things; she even admitted it during this chapter. I don't think Irene had a right to put herself back into Erza's life, to make things complicated and painful and confusing, and to put that stress on Erza and Wendy, who would also face some sort of repercussion from Erza finding out that Irene was still... around. She already had Wendy keeping possibly the biggest and most impactful secret from Erza. To put her on the spot like that, to put her and Erza in conflict... neither of them deserved that. 

Irene learned as she stayed with Wendy, she realized how truly terrible her actions were, how she would never be forgiven nor should she, how being a mother means doing what’s best for your children, and how remaining "dead" was the best thing for both Erza and Wendy. I think she saw herself and Wendy as the life she could have had with Erza if she hadn't abandoned her. Reincarnating as Knightwalker and Mystogan's child was a great way for her to go. 

(also lol born to someone who also tried to kill erza)

She's been given a new chance at life, has loving parents, is placed in a world with no magic, the thing that ruined her life, and has a human body again. 

She didn't deserve forgiveness, but she did deserve peace. And now she has it.

I read the 100yrs quest and I loved Irene and Wendy's (teacher/student) dynamic, just wanted to know what were your thoughts on it and if you got any personal headcanons hehe

Part of me wishes Irene stayed around. She had such a shitty life, it would've been nice to see her find genuine happiness and grow...

So, yes, I have many thoughts about them.

Wendy still hears Irene's advice in her head. Even years after Irene is gone

Irene will kill someone for Wendy. No questions asked. She's so protective of her

Irene views Wendy as her daughter. She never says anything but has fully adopted the child (plus she knows Erza is close to her so)

Wendy has figured out Irene has a soft spot for her but doesn't know the extent of it

Wendy has started confiding in Irene about personal stuff as well as magic. Irene doesn't always give the best advice but she does try (tho half the time its like "murder them")

Irene really enjoys viewing the world from Wendy's perspective. Wendy sees the good in every situation and Irene finds it refreshing

Wendy loves her lessons and has started looking forward to Irene's teaching. They soon map out a specific time where Irene can give her proper instruction (instead of the life or death lessons mid battle)

Even tho Irene claims she has no interest in Erza, Wendy tells her about her daughter often. She's told her about all Erza's accomplishments, how much she's loved, silly stories, sad stories and basically everything she can think of.

Wendy likes to hear stories about Irene's life. Irene tries to give her the happy ones mostly, but every once in awhile she'll let a sad one slip. Wendy is a very good listener and it's become very therapeutic for Irene (she tries not to burden the little girl with her trauma tho)
