Glaciator was the episode that made me drop ML cuz of how horrible the guilttripping was in that episode. Like, the whole episode relied on Chat being pissy that Ladybug didn't come to a date... THAT SHE NEVER PROMISED TO ATTEND AND ALSO HAD OTHER STUFF TO DO. And then put everyone at risk when they had to fight the villain out of spite. And somehow it was her fault??? That was "romantic"??? B r u h. I wonder how much worse or better the Glaciator 2 is gonna be

As per usual, I’m not holding out hope. While the revealed script portion seems to take place near the start of the ep, it confirms that adrichat has been aware of how bad his behavior towards her is but felt no need to try changing it; he’s not really sorry at all, he never was. Whatever “development” occurs later on in the episode is going to feel cheap and shippy because that’s the pattern this show follows.

SnB: Virgin Soul ep 17 reaction

In short: we are fucked but at least cute Charnina. Nina learning to transform whenever she wants to is awesome news. Really, it was time because the big climatic conflict is so very near now. And we needed Chris for that. BUT! Is it really such a good thing that the king who said he will do whatever it takes, and do it without any guilt, to accomplish his goal? At best case scenario Nina is emotionally compromised with dubious loyalties. At worst he will try to manipulate her. Either way now that his guard knows about Nina and Chris as well trouble WILL come for them even if Chris really has only pure intentions. Now onto the good stuff: CharNina was really good and cute in this one, which is key for the story itself to work, so I am happy with that. What makes me even happier is that the Jeanne × Sofiel pairing is now not just suggested subtext but real text. (Yes, I am taking it as that bc why else drop the info about Bacchus and the woman he loved if not so we can establish that Sofiel fell in love with a human as well when she compares herself to him?) As for the other non-pairing related bits: Favaro being a blacksmith (and also shirtless) was really good and I enjoyed everyone guilttripping him. I also loved angry Gabriel BC I hate her. She can choke on her ego for all I care. Now, onto the mystery: where is Azazel? Him and El reuniting will have to be big. Also, Favaro was sent after Nina, did he see them together? What is Charioce's motivation? What is the exact relationship between him and his guard? (Me says he will get stabbed in the back) Also, will Lucifer ever show up and do something? Or is that always going to be only fan hype? So many questions.
